Schönes Lokal, im beheizten Wintergarten konnte man gut sitzen. Interessante Speisenauswahl; der persische Mokka ist etwas besonderes und sehr gutes.

Leider ist das Resteraunt mehr Schein als Sein. Wer schonmal selbst Safranreis zubereitet hat, kann eventuell nachvollziehen, dass der Safranreis dort, kaum den erforderlichen Geschmack aufweist. Er sieht vielmehr lediglich eingefärbt aus, wobei der Geschmack ebenso ausbleibt. Bei den Preisen echt frech. Hinzukommen die unhöflichen Kellner. Wir hatten vorher angerufen, dass wir uns verspäten, was offensichtlich nicht weitergeleitet wurde, da wir bei unserer Ankunft unhöflich darauf hingewiesen wurden, nächstes Mal anzurufen, da uns sonst kein Tisch garantiert werden könne (was selbstverständlich ist, wenn man nicht anruft). Wir mussten sehr lange auf die Bedienungen warten (nicht auf das Essen selbst). Auch bei der Bezahlung schien der Kellner genervt zu sein. Wenn Sie einen Schlemmerblock haben, lohnt sich ein Besuch als Erlebnis, aber den vollen Preis würde ich dafür nicht zahlen. Vorallem die Desserts und die Vorspeisen sind vergleichsweise. extrem überteuert. Für wenig Joghurt (mit kleinen Geschmacksvariationen) mit wenig Brot 10€ zu verlangen, habe ich bisher in keinem persischen Resteraunt gesehen. Vielleicht auch deswegen, weil ich bisher in den richtigen Restaurants essen war. Sehr schöne und authentische Einrichtung, die gut geeignet ist, von allem anderen abzulenken. Ich glaube, die Personen, die vorher noch nie persisch gegessen haben, werden begeistert sein, mal etwas anderen auszuprobieren:) Auf Google wird versucht, die Bewertung zu löschen. Das erste Mal mit dem Vorwurf der Verleumdung, was ich erfolgreich widerlegen konnte und nun Diffamierung. Sehr traurig, so das Meinungsbild zu verzerren.

We had already heard a lot about Shiraz, today we were finally there. The food was great. From the starters to the main courses to the dessert platter for 2. Everything was delicious. A feast for the palate, nose and eyes. The ambience and furnishings were very tasteful. Not exaggerated, but you still had the feeling of being somewhere else for two hours. The prices are high, but in my opinion reasonable. Bottom line: an all-round successful experience. I completely forgot to take photos because it was so delicious.

Starter Sambose 14.99 Djudje Paniri 29.99 and Sistan Vegan 19.99 (totally overpriced - overcooked vegetable puree see picture) delicious spices were missing. Meal for two with two mint teas 72.95! Restaurant is inconspicuous from the outside and not attractive. The prices for parking on the street are very expensive 9 euros with a parking ticket for 1.5 hours, the restaurant does not have its own parking lot, so it is cheaper to park at the airport. We'll definitely never come again. Price performance doesn't fit.

The Shiraz Restaurant in Darmstadt absolutely thrilled us with its great lunch buffet! My family and I were impressed by the variety and quality of the food - aromatic rice dishes, tender meat, delicious vegetarian specialties and fresh salads left nothing to be desired. The restaurant is a real piece of home, especially for Iranian families who are not able to travel to Iran often. The authentic flavors, the lovingly designed ambience and the warm hospitality bring back memories of traditional Persian festivals and shared meals. We felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back. A clear recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy Persian cuisine and culture!

Wir wollten dieses Lokal am Samstag mit meiner Freundin besuchen und nach einem Spaziergang einen Kaffee mit Dessert genießen. Doch man ließ uns nicht hinein mit der Begründung, dass wir nur dann an einem Tisch Platz nehmen dürfen, wenn wir nicht nur Desserts, sondern auch Hauptgerichte bestellen. Der Mann am Eingang des Lokals teilte uns mit, dass alle Tische besetzt seien, aber bald einer frei werde und wir warten könnten. Danach informierten wir ihn, dass wir den Tisch nicht lange besetzen würden, da wir nur auf einen Kaffee mit Dessert gekommen seien. Woraufhin der Mitarbeiter uns direkt sagte, dass es sich für das Restaurant nicht lohnt, Gäste nur für Kaffee und Dessert an einen Tisch zu setzen. Eine schreckliche Einstellung gegenüber den Gästen! Entscheiden Sie selbst, ob es sich lohnt, Ihre Zeit und Ihr Geld an diesem Ort zu verschwenden.

Just one star, for sure! We wanted to visit this place on Saturday with my girlfriend and enjoy a coffee with dessert after a walk. But they didn't let us in on the grounds that we would only be allowed to sit at a table if we ordered not only desserts but also main courses. The man at the entrance to the restaurant told us that all the tables were occupied, but one would soon be free and we could wait. Afterwards we informed him that we wouldn't be occupying the table for long as we only came for a coffee and dessert. The employee then told us directly that it wasn't worth it for the restaurant to seat guests at a table just for coffee and dessert. A terrible attitude towards the guests! Decide for yourself whether this place is worth wasting your time and money.

Without Schlemmerblock the price/performance ratio would definitely be too bad. So it was a mediocre meal for a corresponding price. We are happy to have been here, but there definitely won't be a second time (possibly without a gourmet block). Unfortunately, my visit to the Shiraz Restaurant was rather disappointing. The price-performance ratio was simply not right. The portions were relatively small and the prices for what was served didn't justify what you got in my opinion. Another point was that the shop is called Shiraz and had Shiraz wine on the menu, but unfortunately they didn't stock Shiraz wine, which I found quite strange. I originally come from Frankfurt, where the prices for good food are already high. But the prices in the Shiraz Restaurant were comparable to those in upscale restaurants in Frankfurt - and there is a world of difference. I just can't understand how such a simple restaurant in Darmstadt can charge such prices. Especially when you consider that the quality and overall experience doesn't come close to the level of top Frankfurt restaurants. The grill plate, which consisted of various meat skewers, didn't really impress me in terms of taste. The rice that was served with it seemed more like a filling to fill the guests up, which didn't really fit with the rest of the dish. But I have to positively mention the friendliness of the waiters. There were a few, but they didn't seem all that competent, which didn't really add any value to the service overall. I suspect that many of the guests simply haven't had the opportunity to experience really good food or they wouldn't eat there. Overall, I will not visit this restaurant again as it was neither convincing in terms of price nor taste. It's a shame, because the atmosphere was actually quite nice.

We ordered from this place. The lamb was good. The chicken was quite extensively mixed with lemon juice to the point where we could only taste the lemon and nothing else. So not the best. I have to mention that we ordered one of their desert items that was called Shole Zard which was absolutely inedible. I've been here for the second time in a row within a year and I'm simply shocked by the prices and the now poor service, it's all about money. My girlfriend celebrated her birthday here for the first time. There were 15 of us. In the end she paid a bill of €1000. The amazing thing is that with such an amount you are still so cheeky as to ask for a service fee of €0.50 per cake plate because she had her own cake with her...that really blew me away!!! It's just a shameful thing. Where is the service? Last time there were five of us sitting there and we couldn't believe our eyes when the card came. €8.99 for a glass of wine, €9.99 for a bowl of yoghurt with cucumbers, a bowl of ice cream for €12.99, what exorbitant prices are these??? It's also annoying when you're asked three times if you want a bottle of water (costs €7!!). I can order one if I want. What's going on there? YES the store was full, but you should still think about it. You can also think about people with a small budget, even if things are going well. You can't justify everything by saying that prices have risen! You don't have to add 500% everywhere! Not everyone can afford that. I just find it unfair and annoying!!!!

The rice was perfectly prepared, the chicken breast fillet was tender and deliciously seasoned and the sauces of the rice dishes harmonized perfectly with the meat and rice. The service at Shiraz is also particularly noteworthy. The service was courteous and very personable. Especially the lovely Suraya with her friendly manner guided us wonderfully through our culinary journey. Our visit to Shiraz was very special and we will definitely come back.

In addition, the food was cold, which significantly affected the enjoyment and the taste was also not the real thing. The starter was also completely forgotten and somehow didn't come at all. They just apologized for it but didn't offer anything alternative or as a gesture of goodwill, which only reinforced the bad impression. Unfortunately the service wasn't attentive enough, otherwise we would have at least noticed the forgotten starter in time. Overall the experience was disappointing and I cannot recommend the restaurant in this condition. NEVER AGAIN !!

This winter garden area is definitely nice in spring/summer but in winter it's a disgrace at these prices - that's at least my opinion. Then the owners should really think about having a proper heating system retrofitted. I definitely don't want to sit there in the winter. The food was really tasty and the portions were good. Everyone particularly liked the mixed starter plate. However, the dishes were cold and related to the hot main courses, which in my opinion was because the plates were not preheated. This is a problem that could be avoided. The service was very courteous and nice and explained all the dishes well. I also think it's nice that the cellars and waitresses are neatly dressed. But the prices leave a lot to be desired. €7.99 for a 0.7l bottle of water is quite steep, I wasn't even charged that in Frankfurt. The prices of the food are also really high even if the food was good. Basically, a main course costs at least plus/minus €25. My conclusion is that you can eat there and would go there again, but I would go back to the gourmet block. That evening you could also see at other tables that many people and families were eating with the gourmet block.

I think I don't need photos like my "previous reviewers" because one thing I find terrible is people taking photos of their food. But that's just about me and now about Shiraz. We were always there at lunchtime. The ambience of the Shiraz is great and you feel like you have been transported to Persia. You are accompanied to the table and once you get there you get the menu very quickly. Staff absolutely accommodating and polite. Starter platter is wonderful, my wife could bathe in the walnut pomegranate sauce, 8 starters invite you to feast and there is something for everyone. Main courses absolutely recommended, so I can't understand why someone writes "meat cold" perhaps spent too long bubbling or photographing the dishes. So all in all, an absolute recommendation, every time we are in the corner.

I would like to emphasize that my criticism is based on a real experience, which I describe here again objectively: I had booked a menu for 15 people, the price was previously set at €600. Unfortunately, the amount of food served corresponded to a maximum of 8 people. The dishes were served in bowls, concealing the actual quantity. In addition, the cheaper meat, which consisted largely of vegetables such as peppers, was served without prior agreement. Double quantities of water bottles were handed in without asking and charged extra. Ultimately the bill came to €800, even though the service didn't come close to the price. A mandatory 10% tip was set in advance, although I believe this should be left to the guests' discretion. Considering the rude service, no tip would have been appropriate. I find it regrettable that instead of responding to the criticism, the restaurant tries to suppress negative experiences through reports. In my opinion, customer satisfaction should come first - unfortunately this was not the case here.

Order there very often, the food is almost always great

I was so happy to enjoy Persian food again. The first impression in the restaurant was promising, the interior design is elaborately Persian. The staff in the restaurant are super friendly and accommodating. You can tell how popular the restaurant is - the phone is constantly ringing because people are ordering food. And there is also a lot of activity in the evening. The food is very tasty! Compared to other Persian restaurants, I would say that the dishes are somewhat adapted to the German palate. But that doesn't matter, it was really delicious. I recommend the delicious and refreshing Shiraz tea and generally come by and make a reservation in advance. Really a great experience!

The food was so fantastic, we're still raving about it. Rarely have I had such a tasty buffet. Extension suggestion: A Persian soup and an original Persian dessert

Great food, great service, recommended!

My previous 2-star review, in which I wrote that it was “extremely mediocre food at significantly inflated prices,” was deleted by the restaurant owner on the questionable grounds that it was slander (see screenshot). It is obvious that my review does not constitute slander, but a subjective opinion protected by freedom of expression. The fact that the restaurant owner nevertheless chose the route of a complaint shows a shockingly manipulative tactic: Critical opinions are apparently deliberately removed in order to create the impression of a better reputation and to continue to lure unsuspecting guests to this overpriced restaurant. Potential customers should be aware of how criticism is handled here - instead of focusing on quality, they apparently focus on removing negative feedback. That speaks volumes about this restaurant's priorities.

This makes going to a restaurant fun! Simply delicious!
