We did not stay in the hotel, but had an excellent dinner at the restaurant. We arrived in town in late afternoon and did not have a reservation for dinner. After being turned away by several places, we stopped by Hotel Sonne. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress was delightful-offering recommendations when asked. I had one of the prettiest and freshest salads that I have ever been served! We enjoyed a delightful meal!

Everything is wonderful. Simple, good potato-based cuisine. Fair prices.

Super warm hostess. Everything was discussed in advance by phone, arrival by 10 p.m. no problem. Parking space available in the courtyard. Breakfast buffet with everything you need, plus eggs, cappuccino, tea, ... Central because right at the gate, i.e. city wall. Right next to the Gerlachsschmiede. Oh and the best pizza in the world is here: potato pizza. But the potato gratin was also amazing. There was WiFi via Freifunk. We'll be back, definitely.

Own parking space in the rear area with the “old cellar” entrance Which is very advantageous if you are traveling in the city center. Nine euros per day fee. That's really fine. The rooms are quite nice and moderate. The breakfast was very good and the service is excellent. We felt very comfortable.

The location is really perfect and there's nothing wrong with the price either. Unfortunately we had a bathroom without a window which smelled strongly of sewage. In addition, the beds were very uncomfortable and the breakfast was rather modest. The service was okay, unfortunately a few employees couldn't speak German, which made communication difficult. We weren't shown our room either, we had to look for it ourselves. Otherwise the staff was still nice. Unfortunately, the WiFi didn't work at all and unfortunately there was no network or cell phone reception in the hotel, which was a bit annoying.

Had an excellent experience. The gentleman took the time to construct the doner properly and made sure the delicious ingredients were distributed well.

We often eat there and have always been satisfied. We have known the operators for a long time. There's a bowling alley there and you can watch the hustle and bustle in the indoor pool from the restaurant. Very nice. The people are really nice. It is outside the old town. Parking spaces are free. The outdoor swimming pool is also there. Everything in one place. Very positive.

I recently ate there with my boyfriend. The food was absolutely delicious! Excellent service! I highly recommend it.

Das Lokal gibt es als Spätzle Schwob schon lange nicht mehr. Nur leider ist der frühere Wirt offenbar unfähig, das entsprechend bekannt zu geben. Das Lokal ist jetzt die Goldene Gans!!! und nach dem Umbau wunderschön und einladend geworden. Es ist gemütlich und das Essen mega gut zu moderaten Preisen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich unbedingt!!!

Great food and super service - I'll be back!

We were here to have lunch. There are a couple of seating places and was clean. We ordered chicken Thai curry with rice and veg/egg fried rice. The fried rice was nice, it had the authentic wok taste. Thai curry was ok, it was not that spicy but salty. It is a self-serving place, but we get the food very fast. If you want to get rid of hunger without paying mich I would recommend this.

Sehr schönes Restaurant. Freundliches Personal. Gute überschaubare Karte. Toller Biergarten wenn das Wetter mitspielt, von daher kommen wir sicher wieder.
