The burgers were tasty but a little small. I don't find the place very comfortable. The staff was very quick and friendly but seemed very rushed.

We drove to Essen specifically to eat good fries and found ourselves standing in front of a closed shop on a Sunday in -3 degrees Celsius, even though it was supposed to be open until 7 p.m. No thanks. I won't go here again.

Parking rip-off in front of the door, didn't see it and had to pay €35 for 20 minutes of parking. I still can't understand how you can give your parking space to such con artists! It's no longer human...

I reserved a table and everything went smoothly. Food was super tasty and fresh. Unfortunately no colorful buns, but the service pulled it off. Super friendly boss and also the employees. Simply great and highly recommended.

Very long wait times despite restaurant being half empty

The question of all questions “Doner kebab or currywurst?” is answered in the Pontgrill with the counter question “Why or?” and the “Kreuzbergerplatte”. Rotisserie meat and currywurst with fries on a really big plate. If you're still hesitant, you just haven't tried it yet. Absolute recommendation! Add a hit of tzatziki and the combination is perfect. It has become our monthly lunch meeting. But other dishes like the pide are not tasty, but rather "very, very tasty", as the more than friendly staff always say. The trademark slogan is definitely not a fraud. After finishing your meal with a cay on the house, you can then plunge further into the nightlife on Pontstrasse. We'll definitely come back.

Dishes taste good and the portions are good. Current improvement, unfortunately greatly reduced in terms of taste and quality. The sausages no longer taste as spicy, the meat was initially much better, but unfortunately it has become mushy and tasteless. Apparently the EC card payment is defective, but when you pay with cash and are asked to hand over the receipt, people roll their eyes. Doner kebabs and kebab plates are not that great anymore, Pizza Tonno Spezial hardly has any toppings left on it, but there is a lot of “cheese”. I had something over-baked... Alexander the Great... inedible, bread burnt, and then absolutely soggy. Unfortunately, friendliness has also diminished, so you no longer want to go to a formerly good restaurant with delicious food.

Doner was disgusting, don't spend your money on it. The only good thing in it, the spicy cheese... Pizza is totally okay, you can make it (Funghi) and the staff is friendly. It's a shame, but please revise your kebab offer. Thumbs down 👎🏻

A very tasty kebab shop with all kinds of Turkish specialties.

Nice rustic chip shop. Very great price/performance ratio, portions are very large at a really fair price. Ate gyros. The meat was cut too thick for my personal taste but that's more of an objective opinion. The onion rings were also very thickly sliced, but that doesn't really bother you since you don't put a whole ring in your mouth. The staff was very friendly, but sometimes they were a little quick to take the order. I can recommend a visit if you like a "quaint" and rustic atmosphere. The kebab man was nice, the shop was clean. However, after this kebab I feel a certain anger. Because for 8€ I expect a bomb kebab. Well, the kebab meat is gristly, the bread is sticky, and the salad is like it was from three days ago. It's not even an exaggeration when I say that it was the worst kebab in my life. Unfortunately, I can't even give suggestions for improvements.
