I'm only reviewing the food here: The Idarer Hof is one of the last restaurants in Idar-Oberstein that still deserves the name! We went to Poseidon for dinner with a larger group based on a recommendation from a friend. The restaurant is very large and has a typical Greek flair. The service staff are super nice and you don't have to wait long, even though the restaurant was very busy. The menu has everything your heart desires. The prices are a bit higher, but you're happy to pay a euro more for the quality offered. We enjoyed all of our meals very much. We were impressed by the large portion as well as the taste and quality. The Poseidon definitely gets a recommendation and we will definitely come back there again if we are in Idar-Oberstein more often.

I have never had better lasagna! It's awesome...!!! However, you should definitely use smaller, square aluminum trays when servicing at home! Unfortunately they fall apart in the large and round bowls...

Price performance is just right here. The taste is very good and the good hospitality contributes to the fact that we stop here at least once a month. No long wait for food even if the restaurant is full. Can be recommended with a clear conscience.

What a nice dinner! Completely in American old style, super fun! Friendly employees, delicious food, good atmosphere and for a very nice price. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely come back. The nachos with pulled pork were especially delicious and we really enjoyed them.
