Taste of India in Idar-Oberstein

Ich habe hier nicht gegessen. Aber ich habe es satt, dass europäische Restaurants bei Google angeben, geöffnet zu sein, obwohl sie geschlossen sind. Ich bin extra eine Stunde gefahren, um dieses Restaurant auszuprobieren. Aktualisiert doch einfach eure Öffnungszeiten!

Wir haben das erste mal Indisch gegessen und es war fantastisch. Es hat alles gestimmt, das Essen war sehr lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder:-)

So lecker! Ich habe die indische Küche richtig kennengelernt! Ich komme immer wieder gerne. Das Essen ist fantastisch. Das Lokal ist sauber und die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich.

Sehr gutes Indisches Restaurant mit grosser Speisekarte. Solch eine Gastfreundlichkeit und netten Service sucht man sehr lange. Ein Besuch ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal dort, drei Mann, und wir alle sind begeistert. Der hervorragende Service ließ uns sofort willkommen fühlen, vom Amuse-Gueule bis zu den bestellten Speisen war alles ausgezeichnet. Insbesondere hat mich sehr erfreut, dass die Küche hier lt. eigener Aussage auch Gewürze und Gewürzpasten selbst mischt -- heute definitiv keine Selbstverständlichkeit mehr. Wir wünschen dem Restaurant weiter auch alles Gute!

Ausgezeichnetes Essen. Viele vegane und vegetarische Optionen. Es gibt auch Thalis. Die Bedienung sprach etwas Englisch, und die Speisekarte enthielt bei Bedarf auch englische Texte. Das Problem entstand, als wir die Reste mit nach Hause nehmen wollten. Anstatt alles einzeln einzupacken, mischte sie die Hauptgerichte in Reisschüsseln, um zwei Schüsseln zum Mitnehmen zu sparen. Und sie weigerte sich, das Chutney einzupacken. Das Restaurant liegt in einer etwas ungewöhnlichen Straße.

Super leckeres Essen und total freundlicher Service ✨

Wir waren mit 4 Personen dort heute mittag zum Essen. Alle Vorspeisen und Gerichte waren sehr lecker und die Portionen sehr reichhaltig. Die Karte ist sehr umfangreich, aber der sehr nette, perfekt deutsch sprechende Besitzer hat uns gut beraten. Meine vollste Empfehlung!

Mit dem Kollegen auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant dort angehalten, rein und bestellt. Portionen sehen klein aus, sind aber vollends sättigend. Lecker sind sie auch.

Das Sag Paneer und das Biangam Bharta waren frisch und äußerst schmackhaft. Die Zutaten waren von hoher Qualität und hervorragend zubereitet. Auch der Punjabi-Tee war ausgezeichnet.

Was soll ich sagen : bin froh, dass es das Restaurant gibt ‼️‼️‼️🥰🥰🥰

Ich habe noch nie in meinem Leben in einem so gutem Restaurant gegessen. Man merkt sofort, dass die Betreiber super engagiert sind und sich für das Wohlergehen der Gäste kümmern. Das Restaurant ist sehr liebevoll, traditionell eingerichtet. In jeder Ecke kann man die wunderschönen Details der indischen Kultur sehen. Das Essen ist, egal was nimmt, überdurchschnittlich lecker. Bei jedem Bissen stimmen die Aromen und die Konsistenz überein, sodass sie eine Harmonie erzeugen. Das ist das Highlight unseres Urlaubs hier in Idar-Oberstein.

Fantastisches Essen mit authentischem Geschmack. Von der Vorspeise über das Hauptgericht und die Getränke bis hin zum Dessert war alles fabelhaft und köstlich. Absolut empfehlenswert. Hervorragende Gastfreundschaft.

Ich war spontan mit 7 Kolleginnen dort. Schon alleine die Möglichkeit kurzfristig eine Reservierung zu bekommen war ein Stern ⭐️ wert! Der Service einfach klasse! Sehr aufmerksam und freundlich! Das Ambiente ist für normal, nicht besonders, aber auch nicht heruntergekommen. Mir persönlich hat leider nichts richtig gut geschmeckt, ich mag die Gewürze nicht, aber alle anderen am Tisch fanden es super lecker! Also für die jenige, die die indische Küche mögen, ist ein Besuch hier keine Enttäuschung!

In Oberstein auf die schnelle ein Restaurant gesucht. Schon fast draußen stießen wir auf "Taste of India" in einer Gegend, die eher nicht besonders einladend ist. Nun. Manchmal führt einem der Zufall auch zu einem besonderen Erlebnis - was hier der Fall ist! Ein sehr freundlicher Inhaber, ein annehmbares Ambiente und vor allem ein sehr leckeres Essen haben uns belohnt. Der Gastwirt erklärt gerne die fremden Speisen und gibt sinnvolle Tipps - kein bisschen aufdrunglich oder überheblich! Super. Man istz tasächlich Gast! Nun haben wir entschieden, uns das öfter gönnen zu wollen. Note: hervorragend!

Taste of India ist das Beste indische Restaurant der ganzen Region! Sehr hochwertiges, geschmackvolles und authentisches Essen und ein ebenso ausgesprochen freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service. Auch bei größeren Gruppen oder einem gut gefüllten Lokal ist der Service stets auf höchstem Niveau ohne ausufernde Wartezeiten. Für "Neulinge" der indischen Küche gibt es jederzeit ein offenes Ohr und kompetente Beratung der angebotenen Speisen. Typisch indisch gibt es auch ein umfangreiches vegetarisches Angebot. Für echtes indisches Essen ist Taste of India hier die erste Adresse und eine absolute Bereicherung für Idar-Oberstein.

Wir sind wegen den guten Bewertungen in dieses Restaurant und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Es war unfassbar lecker. Die Auswahl verschiedener Gerichte war einzigartig. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!

An outstanding address for authentic Indian cuisine. The owners are exceptionally friendly and attentive, creating an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. The food is impressive in every respect: fresh ingredients, excellent quality, and perfectly balanced spices that give each dish depth and character. They also offer delicious, robustly mixed cocktails. Highly recommended.

The food is tastier than many other Indian restaurants, especially compared to Spice Village in Kirn. However, the price is rather steep for the portion sizes. I found it to be way more expensive than many other restaurants. Even the Papad wasn't on the house. €2.90 for two pieces of small papads. It is spacious, well lit and service is fast and courteous. Nothing super special but definitely good service.

An outstanding Indian restaurant, truly on par with a big city restaurant. I doubt there's anything comparable in terms of quality and taste anywhere in the surrounding area. The service is friendly, welcoming, and competent when needed. Despite the slightly longer drive, we come regularly, and even my mother wanted to come here for her 85th birthday. Highly recommended.

It was our first time there, and the food was absolutely delicious. The chef was super friendly and explained the different dishes to us. We were truly delighted.

We were visiting IO and went to a restaurant in the evening. Luckily, we ended up at Taste of India based on the reviews. The greeting and advice on choosing our meal were extremely courteous and warm; we immediately felt welcome. The starters and main courses were simply delicious. I haven't tasted such authentic and good Indian cuisine in years. Highly recommended; we'll be back.

I grew up with Indian neighbors who regularly brought authentic Indian food to our house and so I fell in love with it from an early age. I lived in England for 3 years and ate Indian food every chance I got. One day I’ll go to actual India and try the food there…but until then, I’ll be eating at Taste of India! Today was the first time our family ate there but it won’t be our last. This is the tastiest, freshest Indian food I have in many years. The owners’ son waited on us and told us they grind all their own spices - and you can tell! The food is amazingly flavorful! I wish I’d gotten his name, but our waiter was so lovely - kind, well-spoken, very interesting, and helpful. Lord willing, we will be back soon! Thank you for the best meal and conversation we’ve had in a long time!

First time at an Indian restaurant. The food was amazing. We had no idea what they served, but the chef helped us out. He was available to answer all our questions, took his time with us, and served a truly delicious meal. I was very surprised to find such a good Indian in Idar-Oberstein!! The butter chicken was excellent! But not only was the food great, but also the service! I haven't seen such a nice restaurant owner in a long time! On my next visit to Idar-Oberstein I will definitely eat there again!!!!!

We were there for the first time today. I was surprised to find such a good Indian in the middle of the province. So far Indian number three in the world. My favorite in Germany. I hope the next visits remain consistently fabulous.

Really nice ambient, tasty food and good service. Everything looks clean, the food had a good quality. Disclaimer: if you are not used to spices at all, it is a bit spicy (even the stuff that are not spicy). If you are used to the normal German cuisine, then you shouldn't have any problem. We thought the price was quite fair for the quality of the food. We are totally coming back!

It's always taken care of, a welcome change if you're looking for something outside of the same old offerings. Food was tasty, not too spicy for European standards, and portion wasn't too big. The waiter was friendly and pleasant. There is also a large parking lot right next to the restaurant, which made access convenient.

Everything here tastes great! This has now become my regular restaurant and I have to eat Indian food here at least once a month. I've never been disappointed so far. The food is always fresh and delicious, you never have to wait long, the service is first class, the atmosphere is warm, and the prices are absolutely fair for the quality.
