I'm only reviewing the food here: The Idarer Hof is one of the last restaurants in Idar-Oberstein that still deserves the name! The spit roast there is amazing. Absolutely the original.

We were there today and had a nice sunny spot in front of the house. (I can't comment on the decor, so I can't speak to the decor.) I had a very generous Italian salad with delicious pizza bread, and my husband had a pizza. Both were delicious and highly recommended. The landlady is very friendly and accommodating, and we will definitely go there again.
