Svenjas Diner in Idar-Oberstein

We went to Svenja's diner for the first time today. And we were all completely satisfied. Everything was very tasty, fresh and quickly prepared. Wishes are catered for and children are very welcome. Recommendations have already been passed on. Thank you for the great service! We'd love to come back.

Feeling like being in an American diner. Absolutely awesome burgers. The only small point of criticism: the tap beer tasted a little like dishwater. Still absolutely recommended!🍔🇺🇲

I ordered a burger to take away, the burgers are really huge and they really fill you up, and they're super tasty. I can only recommend that I'll be back. SUPER

The food is always great, as is the ambience. We had dinner today and were more than satisfied. Above all, we are surprised that you can find such a nice and child-friendly restaurant, with kids menus, cutlery and cups for children and extra coloring books and colorful pens It's not a given and you feel welcome when you go out to eat with children. We were here for dinner and as always it tasted great. The burgers are great and the salad with the balsamic walnut sauce is awesome.

Nice place, probably based on American style. More appearance than reality, the food looked good, but was rather bland and very expensive. Service was a bit pushy on Valentine's Day to get rid of cake. Given the prices, a piece could have been free for the wife as a nice Valentine's Day special. But yes, just try it yourself first.

Vegan burger was very tasty. The ambience, service and value for money were also good. Gladly again! 👍

I like to come by occasionally and it has always been very tasty. I can only recommend it. Everyone is always very friendly but depending on the company, the order takes a little longer. That wasn't usually the case for me, as I was usually there very early.

Note: When we were in the restaurant, there were two families next to us. 7-8 customers in total. After ordering I waited 50 minutes. The food was normal, not very tasty, and not terrible. This restaurant is clean and looks good. But because of the reasons mentioned above, I don't want to come next time. Maybe it's better to order something for delivery than to visit in person

Sehr empfehlenswert. Freundliches und zuvirkommendes Personal. Sehr sehr gute und leckere Burger. Jederzeit wieder! Waren vor einem Jahr im Urlaub schon mal dort und haben uns das ganze Jahr auf den nächsten Besuch gefreut. Wir wurden erneut nicht enttäuscht.

Chicken wings were cheap frozen goods for over €10.

So it was a bomb again We are always so enthusiastic about the food and the team, we don't even care about the almost 50 km journey. So about my food, I haven't eaten such great spare rips as I did there in a long time. So every way, no matter how far the distance, it's worth it!!!!!

Nice and cozy restaurant with a nod to the 50's/60's. Food was very tasty and the staff super friendly. Small point of note, music from the 50s / 60s would have been a little more appropriate. And maybe a jukebox. But otherwise a really top restaurant

It's great that there are even 3 vegan burgers on the menu! We were also offered vegan mayo. It's just a shame that there wasn't much vegan food in the other sections of the menu.

Today I ordered a salad with strips of rump steak. Salad portion was good, the salad dressing was great but unfortunately the rump steak strips were A. no strips but pieces and B. Unfortunately very very dry, a shame. I have to say that I weighed the portion of rump steak and at 65g it was very little for the price of the salad. Still a good restaurant and very tasty burgers.

I ordered the pollo wrap. Unfortunately for the price it's quite bland and nothing exciting. My colleague had a rump steak that wasn't the desired level for the price. Too bad. According to her, my friend's burger was ok. The fries were very tasty and the service/staff was very friendly. The chef personally checked several times to see if we liked everything. The atmosphere was very cozy!

Cool diner with delicious dishes. Friendly service. Large portions, also vegetarian and vegan dishes, kids menu... You can stop here if you feel like burgers etc., 100x better than the big, golden M. 😁

The xxxxl Farmer Burger is large and extremely tasty..., the cheeseburger is also very tasty. The service is very friendly and responds to the customers' wishes. I'll definitely come back.

Great atmosphere, at least inside. The food was great. However, we had to wait 2 hours. Which wouldn't have been bad at all, because the waiting time was announced due to a lack of staff and a full dining room. But the table next to us arrived 45 minutes after us and was already eating before we even got anything. Apparently the receipt was "accidentally" swapped due to vitamin B. And not even the appetizer, which was deliberately ordered to pass the time and consisted of appetizers fried within 10 minutes (nuggets, mozzarella sticks), made it to our table in less than an hour and a half. Very unfortunate. Even the really nice manner of the boss and the delicious burgers no longer helped the mood.

Delicious food and service is great. Highly recommended, what I didn't like but that's the person's opinion was the prices The prices are a few euros too high for my taste. But nonetheless I was very satisfied

Svenja's Diner has been our favorite for a while. It's always nice to come back again and again. The changing promotions and always new burger creations and seasonal burgers are really great and delicious. The service is warm and quick. Delivery can also be made, which usually works perfectly. Sitting in the diner is of course nicer ;) We always feel like we are in good hands and will come back again and again in the foreseeable future. Thank you for all the effort you put into the diner, it's really worth it! :-)

Was there for the first time. I'm very happy with everything, the wait was worth it, the burger and fries were very good.

In a span of 2 hrs we only had our drinks 🍹 the food was good but Jesus, not even an appetizer or anything in 2 hrs. We also were not getting refills or anyone coming up to see if we needed anything.

Reserved a table and still waited 2 hours for the food. After the food finally came it was still wrong. The food didn't taste good at all. It wasn't really warm. I won't eat there again.

Very nice diner. Wonderfully implemented. The nuggets were frozen goods. Nachos with cheese sauce, that's how it worked!! Cheese sauce a bit too thin. Service was on point and very, very friendly!!!

Visited last week and the place is nice and diner like with great music. There was only two other groups/couples in the restaurant. We ordered burger and fries + a coke and waited... It took 35-40 minutes to get the food and when we got it the fries was not fried properly but very very soft on the outside, we told them and they offered to dry them some more... Seriously a fresh portion but dont fry things twice. Burger was Ok but nothing special and way to expensive for what it was

We actually always enjoyed coming. But now the quality has deteriorated in many areas: Service: 1. You stand cramped in the front door for several minutes. Even though the boss himself sees you STANDING there the whole time, it is more important for him to finish his conversation with the bartender. 2. We had to wait over an hour for ONE appetizer platter. The store was only 2/3 full. The excuse was the delivery service. So it's better to order from home than go there?! 3. The main course for 4 people took another half hour. In between we weren't even asked if we wanted something to drink. 4. Despite the sweater, it was already very cold in the store. My request to turn on the heating was answered in the affirmative. Nevertheless, at the end of the evening (after about 3 hours) it was still ice cold. )-: Food/Drinks: 1. Frozen food that wasn't even cooked through. Because we were so hungry, we didn't care that the chicken wings were still ice cold inside. So much for everything being homemade. 2. A wrap that was completely overloaded with honey mustard dressing and was dripping. So it was no longer enjoyable. 3. Burger + fries were ok 4. It just took too long for FAST FOOD. 5. Arizona iced tea from the small disposable plastic bottle)-: All in all, I could have done this at home and it would have been cheaper and quicker and wouldn't have frozen.

We were there while passing through and treated ourselves to 2 burgers (schnitzel/cheese) with fries. Service very friendly and service-oriented. The food came to the table fresh and quickly, nicely prepared and was eaten with relish. Not art, but delicious 😋 Nice little diner that makes a decent impression. 😃👍🏻

We arrived just in time for the opening in the evening. Were paid zero attention by the service person who was on the phone. Nor after the call ends. We sat in the restaurant for 10 minutes without anyone paying any attention to us. We wanted to leave... We then called out to a service person that we would like to order... Then a waitress was sent. Drinks taken and finally got menu... Drinks come...but wrong... Ordered food... Takes forever... As I said, we were the first guests that day. Then a guest orders food to take away... He gets his food promptly...we wait. Burgers are coming... Meat just barely cooked. In our opinion, burger sauce was made thinner. It tasted better. All in all we were very disappointed. We won't be going there any time soon.

Very good! Got a burger + sweet potato fries + 1 milkshake and cheese nuggets for 34 euros. Very plentiful and also totally delicious. Driver was very friendly. I was born and raised in the USA and the food alleviated some of my homesickness.

Visited this restaurant for the first time. Fresh ingredients, carefully prepared. Price/performance is right here and the service is also right.

Stopped here during our short vacation. A great “usual” diner style diner. The food was great (burgers, fries, milkshake, waffles) and the price was completely reasonable to very good. There are also the usual drinks as well as a few “American drinks” such as root beer and Dr. Pepper. The service (very friendly family business) was top. Parking is not a problem here.

Really great diner right in Idar-Oberstein! Super nice, authentic atmosphere, but not too big or too loud. The burgers and also the finger food were really great and the price was absolutely right, really good value for money. In addition, the owners and employees are really very nice. There are also cool offers on certain occasions, such as a Dinner4Two on Valentine's Day (photo). Will definitely come back soon! :-)

Mehrmals vor Ort gegessen und schon öfter zum Abholen bestellt. Burger sind immer sehr lecker. Die Pommes auch genau richtig. Service ist super, sehr nett und Ambiente ist auch sehr schön, im amerikanischen Diner Stil.

Ein kleines aber feines Diner das durch seine Freundlichkeit, Auswahl und Ambiente überzeugt. Preise für die Qualität die auf dem Teller landet ist absolut gerechtfertigt.

Wir haben uns das Essen liefern lassen. Sehr lecker! Wir müssen irgendwann auch mal vor Ort vorbeikommen.

Netter, aufmerksamer Service, großartiges Essen mit frischen, hochwertigen Zutaten liebevoll zubereitet, authentisches und angenehmes Ambiente. Besonders zu empfehlen sind die phantastischen Spare Ribs. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

Wir hatten so Lust auf einen Burger und ich rief dann spontan bei Svenjas Diner an. Ich konnte unsere Bestellung recht zügig abholen und musste schon dort feststellen wie nett und freundlich Svenja und ihr Papa sind. Nachdem wir zu Hause die Burger probiert hatten... was soll ich sagen, einfach super lecker. Auch weitere Gerichte sind klasse. Vielen Dank für das leckere Essen und die netten Inhaber 😊

Wir waren heute das erste mal in Svenjas Diner und waren sehr begeistert. Von der Vorspeise, zu den Burgern und der hausgemachten Limonade einfach top 👍 Wir wohnen leider nicht in der Nähe sonst wären wir wahrscheinlich Stammgäste. Nur zum weiterempfehlen. Preis- Leistung ist auch sehr gut!

Man fühlt sich hier wirklich wie in einem amerikanischen Roaddiner, mal abgesehen von den nicht vorhandenen Parkplätzen und wenn man innen sitzt. Wir waren zur Mittagszeit mit drei Kindern dort. Das Essen war schnell, gut und mit einem angemessenen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Da ich das aus den USA so gewohnt bin habe ich als Starter die Chicken Wings genommen. Die fallen im Gegensatz zum restlichen Essen etwas ab. Sie sind sehr klein und auch nicht so gross und spicy wi ein den USA. Außerdem gibt es einen Dip dazu in dessen Gefäß die Wings nicht passen (ich habe den dann für die Fries genommen). Daher einen Stern abzug.

Deko ist großartig. Das amerikanische Essen ist für deutsche Verhältnisse nicht übel, man sollte aber keine Rippchen vom Smoker oder ähnliches erwarten.

Echt gut, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super, hab insgesamt 20€ pro essen bezahlt mit Getränk und einem anhaltendem Sättigungsgefühl. Personal ist auf jeden Fall sehr freundlich, es wird oft gefragt, ob alles passt. Der Dining Stil sieht super aus. Wir saßen draussen, im Raucherbereich, etwas schlichter gehalten als drinnen, dennoch sehr süß!

Freundliche Bedienung und eine schöne Umgebung für das tolle Essen. Preis/Leistung ist auf alle fälle sehr gut.

Sehr freundliche, persönliche Atmosphäre, sehr zuvorkommend ggü Familien mit Kindern. Mehrere verschiedene vegane Angebote in der Karte, flexibel kombinierbar auf Nachfrage. War super lecker, wir kommen wieder!

Naja das ein oder andere mal enttäuscht worden für die Preise. Mal schauen demnächst mal wieder vorbei schauen.

Waren Ersttäter und werden nicht das letzte Mal da gewesen sein, nettes Personal, schöne Lokation lecker Essen.

Das Lokal ist im Dinerstil dekoriert und das ist auch gut gelungen. Das Essen war erstaunlich lecker und es wurde auch auf Details wie frische Fries Wert gelegt. Die Bedienung kam prompt und das Essen kam auch nach normaler Zeit auf den Tisch. Wir kamen am nächsten Tag noch einmal wieder und haben es nicht bereut. Es lohnt sich nachzufragen, ob es Specials gibt, die Burger mit Spießbraten waren wirklich gut!

Amazing place to eat for a fine meal. Decor was very authentic to a 50’s style diner. Service was slow but I think it was due to low staff count. But the email was delicious and I would definatly come back.
