Reservations over the phone worked great, but I would prefer an online booking system these days. A warning: cash only. Okay, no problem. Parking is poorly signposted; you basically drive into the parking lot of the Greek restaurant and only then do you see from the sign that you can also park there for the Schlosskrug. When we walked in, we were greeted by a strange silence. You could have dropped a pin; it would have been loud. We sat down; besides us, there was only a family and later a couple there. Ordering was a bit bumpy, but we received our food as ordered, even with a greeting from the kitchen. The food is excellent, and we were really puzzled as to what was keeping customers away. We couldn't figure out a solution. The only point deducted for the ambiance was the deathly silence. No music, no background noise... It doesn't have to be GEMA music from Spotify.

We like to eat out and are completely satisfied with the price/performance. Please pre-order otherwise it is possible that you have to leave again and don't forget that only cash is real. Popular with all settlers.

Friendly staff, free parking in front of the house

So unfriendly, you wait forever for a single drink. You are looked at punitively for every order. If you go to the counter yourself, after a really long time all the ladies who were standing around talking, not doing their job, gather there, only to then explain that there are other guests. Completely forgetting that you had already waited for an eternity (we're talking about multiple attempts to place an order and waiting 20 minutes each time, each time without any success), and that you still had to go there yourself, bad enough, otherwise all orders would and have come to nothing. Why am I in the restaurant to serve myself? It's completely wrong to ask for money for this unfriendliness and 0 service.

We had a very nice dinner here before the concert in the neighborhood. The portions are generous and very tasty, in our case schnitzel with mushrooms and fried potatoes. Simply recommended.👌🏻

We will test the outdoor seating in the summer.

Meine Frau und ich konnten es kaum glauben, dass es das s o noch gibt: Eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre mit ausgesprochen freundlicher u n d kompetenter Bedienung und hervorragendem Essen. Unbedingt empfehlen wir diesen wunderbaren Ort. Wir kommen (leider erst in einem Jahr!) gerne wieder nach Leipzig an diesen kulinarischen Zauberort. Übrigens hat uns auch das Publikum begeistert: Lauter normale Leute, die das Preis- / Leistungs Erlebnis zu schätzen wissen!

Wir waren zum Konzert in diesem tollen urigen Haus. Der Hunger plagte dann doch irgendwann und waren froh noch was zu essen zu bekommen. Da waren wir dann doch sehr enttäuscht, zum Essen bekamen wir den schlechtesten Weißwein geliefert (es gab nur zwei trockene, beide waren ein Desaster) und dann kam ein mit Fett durchtränkte Schnitzel mit Pommes (Bratkartoffeln standen auf der Karte) mit einem verbrannten Ei drauf, sehr langweilig angerichtet… es kam so wie ein Rausschmiss rüber… 😏 Echt noch nie so ein schlechtes Hamburger Schnitzel gegessen. Leider sehr schade da wir wohl ein wenig geblendet waren durch diese schöne Lokalität. Jedoch wünschen wir der Küche einen kühlen Kopf zu bewahren und versuchen es mal besser zu machen Alles Gute euch

Service is impeccable - attentive and very satisfied. Food has proven to be of outstanding quality for years and also justifies higher prices. Clearly, the Prellbock is a location that tempts you to visit the restaurant inside as well as to spend a longer period of time in the inner courtyard. Of course, I'm reluctant to recommend the latter, as I'm probably less likely to find a place on Soontan visits.

Incredibly terrible. Today I bought 4 scoops of ice cream for €8. Unfortunately, I discovered that the ice had completely crystallized. It was definitely no longer fresh. When I wanted to complain about the ball, no accommodation was possible. The seller of the ice cream immediately confronted me and said that the ice cream was so normal, even though I had eaten this exact type of ice cream there before and it was very tasty. The waiter seemed embarrassed by the boss's manner. He should really be ashamed of treating his guests like this. Unfortunately, the quality of the forest air, be it food or service, has definitely declined in recent years. It's a shame, because it used to be my favorite garden restaurant. There is a lot of forest air upwards.

Delicious food, great and friendly service and the ambience with the large terrace and the football field in front of it invite you to spend your time there!

We enjoyed excellent Saxon cuisine. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended 👍🏼😋

Ich wollte eine neue Erfahrung machen, die nichts mit dem Leipziger Allerlei aus der Dose zu tun hat. Das war hier perfekt. Wir haben ein Leipziger Allerlei bekommen, das war so lecker, so frisch gekocht und gesund. Das Personal total freundlich und hat auch gut bzgl. des passenden Weines beraten. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke.
