I had dinner there with my family on December 31st and I'm usually not a big fan of German restaurants. However, I really really liked it here. The staff was not only super friendly and customer-oriented, but also open to a few little jokes every now and then. I like that very much. Everyone at the table enjoyed the food very much. The restaurant exudes a cozy atmosphere in which you quickly feel at home, even if it is a bit cramped at times. It was still decorated for Christmas. Big recommendation.

William Janssen's once vibrant textile factory represents a brilliant chapter in the history of Chemnitz's economy. The factory complex on Schloßstrasse has seen many stories over the years. In the GDR, the locksmiths' cooperative "Schloma" and the renowned Intershop retailer GENEX became important players here. Always happy. 2019 one of the best restaurants in Chemnitz. Addendum 2024: Significantly worse. After an hour of waiting, dried out meat, my partner had canned vegetables. But I'll give the once good restaurant another chance.

You literally have to apologize to the innkeeper if you want to drink and eat something there. Apparently only guests from the garden section are welcome here. The landlord just complains and is annoyed by the paying customers. The food is again quite good...

Nice restaurant with a beer garden, delicious home-made food, very friendly staff and normal prices. Thank you for the hospitality and short-term reservation for 10 of us, we will definitely be back 😊
