The food took a very long time. Several guests who arrived later received their food much earlier. Lettuce and chanterelles crunched while eating. The reference to this was simply noted. The goulash soup contained more beans and corn than meat. Overall, a disappointment for all four of us.

Very nice atmosphere and nice service. The food was very, very good. Sauerbraten and roulade are recommended.

Delicious food, great service, it fits!

I've been to the basement house three times so far. However, yesterday's visit was challenging. The drink order took twenty minutes and we waited almost two hours for the food. While we waited, the glasses sat empty for an hour. The food this time was rather mediocre. Pretty carelessly prepared and the meat was dry. All of us were disappointed with the visit, which was confirmed by the table next to us. The obvious imbalance between booking and service/cuisine inevitably leads to such experiences. My recommendations and visits to and in the basement house are now counted. There are two stars for the ambience (you can see past the plastic flowers).

We were on the terrace of the pantry, 3 people and Havanese Frieda. We were placed very friendly, Frieda always sits in the dog buggy in restaurants and the like. This was also taken into account in the placement. Before we placed our order, Frieda was given water and treats, something we had never experienced before. The waiter was very polite, courteous, nice with a good dose of humor, thank you very much for that. The food was simply to die for. The taste is very good, the presentation is a real eye-catcher, simply great. We recommend this restaurant, it is really exceptional, the prices are justified. Thank you for this really nice evening.

Celebrated a friend's birthday here today. We sat outside even though the weather wasn't kind to us. That didn't dampen the mood. The service friendly and quick. The drinks were served quickly. Unfortunately we had to wait a while for the food. But the restaurant was also well attended. My rump steak with chanterelles tasted very good. Unfortunately the guest point was a bit tired of it. I ordered it medium rare. Which is also difficult for the chef to hit. I still enjoyed the steak. The other dishes would all have been delicious too. Unfortunately, the fried ice cream is no longer available. Please add it back to the map. The Kellerhaus in Chemnitz gets a clear recommendation from me.

Embarrassing, I got a little lost on the way to the hotel. The decision to have lunch here was rather spontaneous. I immediately felt at home, the staff was very friendly, the food was excellent. Where can you still get delicious home-cooked food today? If I come to Chemnitz again I will definitely come here again. I give it a 100 percent recommendation and many thanks to the team

A restaurant with home-style cuisine. Prices are okay, there is nothing wrong with the service. Unfortunately the food is just mediocre. Not enough sauce for the knuckle, the sauerkraut was bland, the dumpling tasted of nothing. The meat was ok, but almost too dry. But the portion was big enough. The lemonade (wild berry) consists only of syrup infused with water and fruit from the freezer.

Beautiful location, cozy atmosphere, cool beer garden... the service staff was super friendly, fast, courteous, communicative and also nice-looking in their "traditional clothes"... 😉 Unfortunately, the food was very different... The potato rösti with smoked salmon were delicious , fresh and nicely seasoned... the roulade was overcooked, the sauce was completely tasteless and the red cabbage was much too slimy... that could have been much better... Too bad 😟

Fast and friendly service. The food tasted really good. Only the nettles from the neighboring property/parking lot protrude slightly onto the outdoor tables.

Parking spaces are available, but too few at peak times. You should be prepared for that. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and you feel comfortable. What we didn't like at all was that it took an hour until we got our food. At least the starters should have been at the table within a reasonable period of time. One starter even came after the main course. The service should have been a little more attentive. Even if the house is full, I don't think that's okay. But the food was very tasty. So the kitchen did everything right.

The service wasn't good. We waited almost 20 minutes from the first drink to the second. Although it was seen that the drinks were empty. The food wasn't any better. The beef roulade was completely dry and the sauce couldn't save it. The Schupfnudeln were completely burnt and the pork loin was no longer good. You don't give something like that out.

The restaurant is an absolute must for every visitor to Chemnitz. A rustic location furnished with attention to detail, the likes of which we have never seen before. The food was excellent and the service was extremely friendly. Rating: highly recommended.

The food was excellent The service was a bit chaotic due to the lack of skilled workers, you had to wait forever for drinks and the food only came after an hour and a half of waiting, but as I said, because there weren't many people who knew how to wait, the service staff really made an effort.

We had dinner at Kellerhaus Chemnitz for Mother's Day. The welcome was very warm. We received friendly service throughout our stay and were asked about our well-being. The menu is very good and we think there is something for everyone. The food came very quickly and tasted fantastic. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. The rooms are very lovingly and comfortably furnished. Everything is clean and the outside area is beautiful too. Our conclusion: We will definitely come back and can highly recommend the Kellerhaus.

That day we sat outside, and it was very cold and windy. There was no fireplace, and we were informed that the gas had run out. We understand the energy situation in Europe with the high gas prices due to the war. Because of this, we didn't eat much and left quickly.

Visit was fine. But the portions have definitely become smaller compared to last year. The grill knuckle has halved in size. We were a bit shocked then. You can be lucky or unlucky with the service. Last year we had a great waitress! Not so much this time. The dining room we were sitting in was completely full. Unfortunately, the tables were so narrow that you had to squeeze in and out if someone wanted to get up.

Very good food. Service also top. The only small point of criticism is that the filling side dishes on the dishes could be a little more.

We had dinner today with 2 adults and 2 children. Reserved by phone at lunchtime, then received a text message (this could have been used to cancel, just in case). The ambience is lovely and rustic in the beautifully decorated half-timbered house. The staff is not only friendly but also very competent. The food tasted great and was well prepared too! Clear recommendation!

Food and service are okay. Make sure the portions are generous. I find it a bit strange that if you want to take the rest of the food with you, you have to pay for the packaging, with an average price of 30 euros that should be included, it's not about 50 cents, but without mentioning that, that's not in Order

Plenty of food but nothing special in terms of quality. After the meal, we ordered 2cl of fruit, and it came with 4cl. The waiter's explanation: that's how it is with us... 4cl wasn't even on the menu, but of course it was charged

The food was very tasty and sufficient. Since we were celebrating a birthday, the birthday child's plate was embellished with a small gesture. Thank you very much for that.

I was with my family, twice, the first time we came with my husband for breakfast, everything was fine, and the other time we came with our child, made an order, waited for about an hour, and when we asked why there is still no order, they answered that they do not understand us because we they did not speak German but did it through a translator, I want to say they were in different cities, the waiters are communicative, I took the MENU and made an order, they understood us, there is nothing difficult in this, but in this city the foreigners are not treated very well, my impressions of this city are not very good, they do not know how to communicate or do not have the desire for a foreigner, the prices are overpriced, they have the only plus, I like that they value their historical culture and you can watch a lot of interesting things, for this I put 5, for everything else 1.

The rustic ambience, decorated with love and attention to detail, invites you to a cozy evening. The food is very good and the large variety of drinks tempts you to try them. Everything is rounded off by warm and friendly service. Even if you made a mistake in the date when reserving, it is no problem to rebook. I can only warmly recommend this place!

Absolutely terrible service! We were there in a large group and ordered a schnapps at the end. Not only did the waiter bring the wrong schnapps (which can happen to anyone) but he then insisted that it was the right one. The boss came and sorted things out. At the end we wanted to pay only to find out that we had been billed twice for all drinks, including the wrong schnapps. These were all mistakes that can happen, but there was no apology from our waiter or his manager. They argued with us for half an hour and blamed us for everything. So zero customer service and super unfriendly not to mention that the portions were very small. That was on 3/7/24. Not recommended.

Clearly: go there! We went for lunch with our three-year-old son on a Saturday without a reservation. We got a seat quickly, were served in a very friendly manner, the food came to the table quickly, hot and tasty and the portions were appropriately large. For me, a “sauce enditscher”, it could have been a little more sauce, but the point is subjective and therefore absolutely maintenance-free.

I wouldn't have thought that Chemnitz had such a wonderful corner. Not only the restaurant was good, but also the surroundings. 👍

A beautiful restaurant in a historic building. Old beauty meets warm gastronomy. The food is incredibly delicious. It's a shame that it's not celebrated like this everywhere in the catering industry. Every local and holidaymaker should have been there at least once. Keep it up.

A really nice cozy place. Went there for the first time as new Cemnitz residents for lunch. Had a very positive experience. The service staff had a lot to do, but had everything under control and still had a nice word to say. We'll definitely be back soon. We're looking forward to the summer garden opening. Keep it up....

Food was catastrophic! In terms of taste, quantity and price!

The appealing ambience could not deceive us about the subterranean quality of the food and the inconceivable waiting time of more than an hour with only moderate attendance. All of this had the potential to put you in a really bad mood.

Restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, a wide range of dishes, there is something tasty for everyone. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We would like to highlight Gina who served us that evening.

Great ambience 👍albeit very loud in the dining room, food "good" but not great, service was "well" I would say "that's okay". Unfortunately, it is rather inflexible, harsh and therefore less sales-oriented. There's still something going on.😉

The rooms and furnishings are very cozy and tasteful, but unfortunately the food cannot keep up. The red cabbage from the sauerbraten was more acidic than the sauerbraten, so it was inedible. It's a shame...the kitchen, I can't recommend it.

A very nice restaurant near the castle

This year the legendary whiskey tasting with haggis dinner took place for the 10th time. I've been there almost every year since 2017 and it's always an absolute highlight. At this point I would like to express great praise to the kitchen, for the excellent preparation and to the entire staff for the friendly service. The food and drink offerings are always very tasty and varied, even outside of this event. The furnishings are quaint and cozy. In summer there is also a beautiful beer garden.

Tolle Lage, gepflegte Gasträume, sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung. Das Essen war ok, Preis-Leistung passen überhaupt nicht. Kleinste Portionen zu hohen Preisen, könnte etwas mehr gewürzt sein. Fazit: Es gibt schmackhafteres Essen.

Essen wie bei Muttern und reichlich bei ordendlichen Preisen

Die älteste Gaststätte in Chemnitz, etwas versteckt am Schlossberg. Ein ganz tolles, rustikales Ambiente. Gutes Speise -und Getränkeangebot zu durchaus fairen Preisen und vom Geschmack der Speisen waren wir mehr als nur begeistert ( war auch etwas fürs Auge). Aus unserer Sicht, alles in allem, ist ein Besuch der Gaststätte " Kellerberg " sehr empfehlenswert.

Tolles Lokal, werde sicherlich wiederkommen

Nettes rustikales Restaurant auf 2 Etagen. Oben sitzt man nicht sehr schön. Unten ist es voll aber viel gemütlicher. Die Bedienung ist ziemlich überlastet . Man muss länger warten. Das Essen war schmackhaft aber die Portionen sind recht klein. Es wurde aber auf Nachfrage und Anmerkung ein Salat gratis nachgeliefert. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Ein wunderschönes nettes Restaurant. Wir haben wie immer sehr gut gegessen und wurden freundlich bedient. Ich freue mich jedes mal aufs neue über einen Besuch in diesem Wirtshaus. Ich kann es sehr empfehlen.

Hilarius Steak, Kräuterkartoffeln und Speckbohnen für 14,20€ - ein trockener Klumpen Schweinerückensteak. Die Hähnchenbrust genauso. War mir kein Foto wert.

Gutes Essen auch preislich okay

Leckeres Essen mit sehr netter Bedienung. Die Räume sind zwar überdekoriert, erhalten dadurch allerdings einen besonderen Reiz und es wirkt alles sehr stimmig und gemütlich.

Das traditionelle Kellerhaus, wo Geschmack und Gemütlichkeit an erster Stelle stehen. Das Essen ist vorzüglich, traditionell bis hin zu verspielt. Eine Auswahl wo jeder was findet, was ihm schmeckt. Die Karte ist nicht überladen. Man konzentriert sich auf die wesentlichen Speisen die angeboten werden. Das Personal ist freundlich, entgegenkommend und schnell. Rundum zufrieden und immer einen Besuch wert. Jeder Zeit wieder gerne.

Alles Super, wir hatten einen tollen Tisch, sehr gutes Essen, freundliche Bedienung, tolles Ambiente, alles in Ordnung, gehobenes Preisniveau, dafür gute Qualität, gerne wieder!

Das positive zuerst , ein wirklich schönes Fachwerkhaus mit tollem Ambiente. Sehr hübsch (wenn auch sehr üppig) weihnachtlich geschmückt. Personal sehr freundlich. Das Essen wurde zeitgleich u. sehr schnell gebracht. Nur der Räuberteller für meine Tochter wurde vergessen und erst nach mehrmaligen Nachfragen gereicht. Ich hatte die Schweine-Medaillons mit Buttergemüse und Kroketten. Das Fleisch war soweit i.O. , heißt durchgebraten , aber trotzdem zart. Leider kam als Gemüse Beilage nur Konserven o. TK Gemüse auf den Teller (Erbsen und Möhren) , die Kroketten waren auch ein TK Produkt , welches von der Qualität eher an einen Imbiss Snack erinnerte. Zur Deko gabs noch Salatblätter. Das war alles in allem enttäuschend. Qualität der Speisen passte leider nicht zum tollen Ambiente.
