The only place in Chemnitz to eat horse meat. Very tasty food. The Ross burger comes with very tasty fries. The beef itself was a little too salty for me. The sauerbraten and the red cabbage taste very good. The prices are not exactly cheap. A regular size spiced meat costs €9.50!!! It's not worth it. Probably some kind of cross-subsidy.

Die Gaststätte ist urig gemütlich eingerichtet mit einem rustikalen Aussenbereich. Die Speisekarte richtet sich vornehmlich an Liebhaber von Pferdefleisch. Die Portionen sind üppig, die Art des Anrichtens ist aber antiquiert. Wer gemütlich Speisen möchte, nach der Art „Futtern wie bei Muttern“, der ist hier richtig.

The food was good. Service too. But the cleanliness is not so good. On the dining table......dead fly and dust. The toilet floor, dirty and dead spiders.

We were your guests on August 21st and can highly recommend this restaurant. We went to the outdoor restaurant for lunch. Great atmosphere and very tasty dishes. Pork and as a side dish beans, pear and very crispy herb baguette. The friendliness of the staff is particularly noteworthy. People politely ask if everything is OK. Very good service and great gastronomy specialist staff. You feel comfortable here and this restaurant is a real insider tip for us. We'd love to come back.

Hello, I have known the Hofmann family since I was a child. On my last visit I was very disappointed. It's all mixed with pork. You can't eat liver dumplings anymore, just pork. 60 € for two people very very expensive. It's a shame about these good names.

I found the best pork knuckle there by chance! Really very tasty and not dry! The sauerkraut was also outstanding. Service was quick and nice, an all-round good visit to a restaurant while passing through.

Das Essen, war gut, aber nicht außergewöhnlich.Man könnte an der Anrichtung der Speisen arbeiten, diese sind altbacken.Die weibliche Bedienung, leider etwas inkompetent und nicht gerade freundlich, was man bei diesen stattlichen Essenpreisen eigentlich erwarten darf. We always enjoy going to Pferde Hofmann. Whenever we visit family or friends in Chemnitz we go to Franklin. Very good food. I ate a combo back in the GDR era. Bulletin with liver dumplings, mixed vegetables and potatoes. Yes, it is a tradition in Chemnitz.

Delicious dishes, mainly German home cooking. If you don't like horse meat, you'll find plenty of alternatives here. The meatballs in the snack bar/bistro are also very tasty. There's also a nice beer garden - a clear recommendation

I, Wolfgang Drechsler, had a big meal today with our children who are at home in Bavaria and were visiting us. We liked it so much, especially the ambience. We were served excellently and loved the food. We didn't have to take anything with us because everything was eaten. In the end I praised the service. And asked her if she was free for me on Thursday May 30th. She said no because she had a fixed contract. I just wanted to hire her as Severin for the day of my 75th birthday. Unfortunately that didn't happen. My son-in-law would like to celebrate his birthday here in Chemnitz near Fränklin next year.

Ms. Schäfer fulfilled our every wish. Incredibly delicious food. Salads were great, asparagus was great and the Ross filet was unforgettable. We'll definitely see each other again when you're back in Chemnitz!

Franklin Hofmann, it's basically a tradition. Modern design combined with a delicious range of dishes. The Ross range is particularly recommended. All of this comes with a combination of fast and friendly service. Thanks to the kitchen for the delicious dessert. We'll definitely come by again.

We celebrated our son's boyhood here and everything went very well. The service was excellent, fast, attentive and friendly and the food was of outstanding quality. As always, we went home very satisfied and will definitely come back. Thank you for the successful evening 👍

Update 4/4/24 We have been your guests many times and have always been very satisfied. But unfortunately not at all since our last visit. The sauerbraten sauce was absolutely bitter. When asked, the chef said it happened when it was reduced, but he thinks that's okay. No apology, neither when asked by the staff nor any suggestion - NOTHING! Oh, it's always fully booked anyway, new guests just come. I think that if you don't know what sauerbraten should taste like, then you should look for another profession as a "head chef". We were 4 people and ate with you for 160 EUR and then you have to be content with something like that. I am of the opinion that, especially in such a high-priced restaurant, the guest should be a customer! And no, I didn't want the food for free! But just ignore it, bad luck, it's not exactly customer friendly! Unfortunately we won't be coming back for a while.

Horse roulade fart-dry with ONE toilet and red cabbage... which was apparently left over from Christmas... you have such a great stable... and the service is great... but I'm definitely not coming back to eat... that's definitely not going to attract anyone to you... girlfriend had this Klopps and the baker had sales again... then... all the best to you

We were there for dinner with friends today. After a telephone consultation this morning, they were able to squeeze us in. Nevertheless, there was never any time pressure and the food was again great. A small play area for children would be the icing on the cake ;-) See you next time!

Waren zur Geburtstagsfeier eingeladen. Hat alles super gestimmt. Essen Spitze.

Hier trifft uriges auf modernes Ambiente, sowohl in der Einrichtung als auch auf dem Teller. Alle Speisen waren geschmacklich top und für jeden war etwas dabei. Einzig der Gulasch hatte eine etwas zu kleine Portionsgröße.

Ich war mit meinen Sohn und Schwiegertochter da..... Sie waren beide TOTAL BEGEISTERT VON ALLEM...... Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen und vergebe gern 5 Sterne.......

Wir waren hier mit Freunden verabredet die sagten es wäre eines der besten Lokale in Chemnitz. Wenn das so sein soll kann ich Sachsen nur bemitleiten. Diese Preise würde ich in Dresden oder Leipzig erwarten in Chemnitz und für diese Qualität sind Sie zuviel. Der Service hat durch nicht Wissen, Unfreundlichkeit und Inkompetenz geglänzt. Das Ergbnis aus der Küche war schön angerichtet aber zum teil kalt und gemacklich könnte es vermutlich jede Hausfrau besser. Völlig enttäuschnder Besuch.

Eine der besten Gaststätten in Chemnitz. Wir sind oft hier. Für Liebhaber von Pferdefleisch ein absolutes Muss! Auf der Karte ist nicht nur Pferdefleisch, es gibt auch "normale" Gerichte. Freundliches und sehr lustiges Personal und hübsches Ambiente runden die Sache ab.

Breites Angebot, jedoch herzlos angerichtet. Das Schnitzel vom Roß war nichts. Der halbe Preis wäre völlig ausreichend gewesen. Vielleicht hätte ich in der " Ehemaligen Roßschlächterei" ein anderes Gericht bestellen sollen! Werden es zu einen anderen Zeitpunkt nochmals testen . Die Speisekarte auf der Internetseite war eine andere , wie die im Restaurant.

Lecker Essen und nette Bedienung. Weiß nicht wie oft wir schon da waren, immer wieder schön.

Lebensmittelvergiftung gab es inklusive. Das toxinbelastete Pferdefleisch-Gulasch hat mir die Tage kurz vor Weihnachten versaut. Hatte schon beim Essen ein komisch Gefühl, und dann hat es mich wenige Stunden später komplett ausgeräumt und ich lag zwei Tage mit Schüttelfrost und starken Gliederschmerzen im Bett. Einer anderen Person am Tisch die das gleiche gegessen hatte, ging es auch so. Passt auf was ihr euch dort bestellt. War unser letzter Besuch in diesem Restaurant.

Ich war lange nicht mehr da, aber das Essen ist noch immer sehr gut Immer wieder ein Besuch werd 🤗🤗.
