I really hope that the only (!) waitress who worked at the Mother's Day buffet receives a big bonus from her employer. She really gave it her all, but of course had no chance of keeping up with serving, refilling, clearing and collecting. Very, very annoying for the expensive money that it sometimes took a good hour for scrambled eggs, pancakes, clean plates etc. to be added. But guests who complain about this to this poor woman should have been directly banned from the property by the owner. She had no chance! There was simply a lack of staff. In terms of the variety on offer compared to previous years (no more salmon, no juice, no sparkling wine...), the Swan can hardly keep up with the Extrablatt. In the end we paid > 100 euros for 2-3 rolls each with scrambled eggs, cold cuts and some fruit + drinks.

Es ist Spargelzeit und wir wollten in einem schönen Restaurant einkehren. Bei Zur Kluse stand die Spargelkarte leider nicht auf der Website. Ein kurzer Anruf genügte aber, um die Bestätigung zu erhalten: Spargelkarte haben wir und einen Tisch können wir auch reservieren! Angekommen, wurden wir schön platziert. Das Ambiente ist ansprechend. Unser gewählter Weißwein war aus - dafür gab es eine andere teurere Empfehlung. Die war aber gut. Wir haben uns je für eine Spargelsuppe und Spargel mit Schinken entschieden. Auf Nachfrage habe ich sogar halb halb bekommen: gekochten und rohen Schinken. Freude! Dann kam die Vorspeise. Suppe schmeckte wie von Maggi aus der Tüte, angedickt und verfeinert mit Spargelstückchen. 10€. Sechs Stangen Spargel, 2 Kartoffeln, bissl zerlassene Butter. 27€. Der Spargel war al dente, zu gezuckert. Butter mussten wir nachbestellen. Aber dann: 2 Scheiben Schinken für ganze 10€! Das ist eine Frechheit. Auf Beschwerde, Flucht der Kellnerin. Seither ward sie nicht mehr gesehen. Schade! Wir hätten gerne nach Nachtisch und einen Espresso bestellt!

Located in the heart of the old town, but in a quieter side street, the restaurant combines tradition and modernity. The food is good, home-style with a modern touch and seasonal daily recommendations. They have the best schnitzel here, I promise. The prices are fair, the audience is mixed from young to old. Both the party people who want to eat in advance as well as the "silver surfers" and business people. The outside area is casual (see photos). I think it's brilliant that the restaurateur (Christoph Söhnel) also took over the burgers from my former favorite burger restaurant (Stier Royal). By the way, there is a small boutique hotel above with just a few rooms. Very few people know this and you can still call it an “insider tip”.

The two of us were eating, sitting in a large room with several set tables, without music. The ambience leaves a lot to be desired. Messy curtains holes in walls and ceilings. Staff very friendly. Food was okay. Conclusion: Local (parish hall atmosphere) only suitable for large celebrations. Not for a nice evening for two.

I was there yesterday and when I saw the sauce bowls,,,,ugh,,,,but the fryers didn't look any better,,,,I left immediately,,,,,awesome,,,,

I ate the worst fries ever there on Saturday: hard, dry and unseasoned. And after I said that (when I handed back my half-full bowls) the two (already unfriendly “ladies”) were still insulted. If I had received a reasonable answer or explanation, I would not have given this negative message. A few years ago it WAS a “must” for me to eat these fries in Dortmund. ….that’s it Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the food, but you could actually have seen it in the photo. By the way, I got a shandy in a plastic cup and my daughter got a coke, which she poured three-quarters full, either I pay for a coke and get it or it's just a copy and it has to be signposted!!

We had a beer 🙃 and had something to eat, beautiful location, friendly service, ample parking, also a large semi-covered terrace.

I had lunch there today. There was a self-service buffet. Three different main courses, one of which was vegetarian. Anyone could take it. Everything tasted great. The service was super friendly. I was skeptical based on the previous reviews, but that was unfounded. I won't have to make sandwiches for my next training session as I'll definitely eat there again! And there's also delicious coffee...

Not only is the food good, but there is a playground and a trampoline for children, so you can also have a quiet chat.

We ate there twice after the restaurant reopened under new management and were very satisfied. The dishes were delicious and were prepared and served quickly. The service was also attentive and friendly. We will also visit the beer garden again this summer.

Nice place to stay. Fair prices.
