Cool restaurant with a great atmosphere, very friendly and attentive service. I've been here a few times now. The price and quality are perfectly matched. I'll be back.

We were here on Sunday. Unfortunately, we paid the wrong bill. I only noticed it later because we took the receipt with us. This new practice of paying first and then receiving the bill is unacceptable, and it's clear they don't have it under control here.

We ate at the Schwan for the first time yesterday. Nice restaurant, not too loud, so you could still have a good conversation and understand each other. The wooden chairs could use some cushions; they were a bit uncomfortable. We all ordered schnitzel. It was fine. Unfortunately, the portions were much too small. We women were just about full, but the four men weren't, so we had to visit a kebab shop afterward. For that price, you can definitely expect a bit more. I also ordered a side salad. €4.50 for a really small bowl of salad that simply contained lettuce leaves, half a slice of cucumber, and a tomato. Drizzled with balsamic vinegar... Don't you have salad dressing or other salad ingredients? The service was mediocre. Stressed. No time for the customer. No "Bon Appetito" or "Is everything OK?" No "Thank you" after paying with a tip. No goodbyes, have a nice evening at the table. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right here.

Unfortunately, breakfast was bad. The pancakes were cold and didn't seem to have been freshly made. The lox on the bagel was a thick, ice-cold lump. We won't be back for a while. It's a shame.

I could give zero stars, but unfortunately that's not possible. I couldn't eat the dish I ordered because there were several clumps of hair in my food. Even though I couldn't eat it, I still had to pay for it. It's outrageous! You pay for something you can't eat. I can understand if there's a hair in the food, but not several clumps, as if it was intentionally sabotaged. I'll never set foot there again. It's outrageous.

Good creative burgers, seasonal menu, great ambience and service

The prices are outrageous for the quality you get. The Cordon Bleu costs €28.50, is half the size you'd expect, and clearly deep-fried. The fries were okay, but ketchup or mayo are only available at an extra cost. The pre-made salad mix pressed into a glass jar doesn't help matters. The service seemed annoyed. It's a nice place to sit, but it's a shame that the food falls far short of the ambiance.

Terrible. Service was slow and unfriendly. The breakfast (sandwich) was poorly prepared and very untidy. Untidy. Used coffee cups sat on the counter for over two hours, even though there was nothing to do. Then we were asked to pay for breakfast we didn't get. Never again!!!

Not bad, but a lot of square meters for one server. The food was mixed: Nutty crusts with a floury bacon and leek sauce, potato salad (not homemade) was full of preservatives. My wife's grilled potatoes with feta, on the other hand, were excellent.

I've been to your market a total of 10 times. Twice, the cash register made a mistake. And just yesterday, the ground beef I bought had so much nerve in it that we chewed the meatballs like gum. You need to be more meticulous about these matters, because they're so important. I know you're diligent, and you're trying to do your job properly. But please, pay a little more attention to the points I mentioned. You need to train your butchers and cashiers a little more. Other than that, your market is excellent.

We ordered homemade fried fish/redfish with Swabian potato salad and two dips for 16 euros. The food arrived after 10 minutes. The potato salad was a store-bought product that burned your tongue from all the preservatives. The fish was okay. I told the friendly waitress that you couldn't eat it and that anyone in the Rhineland can make a delicious potato salad; they don't serve it out of a bucket for 16 euros. My friend's schnitzel, a pressed schnitzel, came fresh from the fryer. My conclusion: for 54 euros including two beers and two coffees, it was an absolute disaster. The only good thing was the friendly waiter.

We ate there with 24 people after our wedding at the registry office. Emailing us in advance to select the menu was super easy, and we were able to customize it to our needs. The decor was very lovingly arranged, and the service and food were excellent. I highly recommend it for anyone getting married in Neuss. Everything is on one level, making it ideal for wheelchair users.

We were in Neuss for the first time yesterday and were very pleasantly surprised by this beautiful city. Since we wanted to celebrate our 13th anniversary, we went here for dinner. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing (we haven't had such good food in a long time). The price is more than reasonable for the quality and taste.

Unfortunately, it became very unfriendly. I'm not used to that kind of place. Service was extremely unfriendly and completely unattentive. Cashing out outside wasn't possible either.

We visited twice and were very satisfied both times. We received very quick and friendly service. The food and drinks were good, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend it.

I found the food to be a bit better than a snack bar. I expected more. We had a Schwanitzel there twice a while ago, and it was better than this time. The service is friendly and attentive. The restrooms are clean (albeit very small). But the breakfast we had there a couple of times two years ago was significantly better.

Nach langer Zeit, weil oft mit dem Service nicht zufrieden, in der wie den Schwan gemieden haben, waren wir vor ein paar Wochen mal dort, besser formuliert, wären gerne dort Gäste gewesen. Sonne in der Mittagszeit. Auf der Terrasse werden die Tische mit einem elektrischen Schleifer bearbeitet. Geht‘s noch? Trotzdem Platz genommen, hofften, dass die Arbeiten unterbrochen werden. Wenig Gäste auf der Terrasse, warum wohl? Drei Mitarbeiter stehen, sich unterhaltend im Eingangsbereich. An den Nachbartisch wird ein Getränk serviert. Die Kellnerin kommt nicht zu uns, geht zurück zu der Gruppe von Kollegen. Aus der Gruppe wird in Richtung unseres Tisches geguckt, mehr nicht. Keiner der 2 noch vor dem Eingang stehenden Servicekräfte sieht sich veranlasst an unsere Tisch zu kommen. Toller Service! Für uns zu viel des Giten. Nie wieder.

We were there after the public viewing of the Euro 2024 Germany vs. Spain match. It was and remained relatively empty, I still don't know why. Okay, there was a Euro broadcast, but the screens were relatively small for the size of the room. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive. May 25, 2025: Here for breakfast today. The buffet is relatively small, and when all the tables are occupied, like today, it's easy to eat everything quickly. On the second round, there were only three multigrain rolls left. The croissants were also quickly gone, but they were refilled. The large jar of Nutella was empty towards the end (after about two hours), and it stayed that way. Everything was very tasty; I didn't discover anything new, because my decision was based on, let's have breakfast somewhere I haven't been before.

Hatte mich auf eine leckere Currywurst mit Pommes gefreut. Vor Jahren hatte ich die mal hier gegessen und damals war sie sehr lecker ...damals...heute aber nicht. Anstatt der normalen dünnen Pommes bekamen wir die dicken Pommes (Steak Fries heißen die glaube ich). Und die schmeckten gar nicht. Da hätte die Bedienung aber vorher mal was sagen sollen. Die Wurst war seltsam labberig und gar nicht fest in der Konsistenz. Die Soße war definitiv zu wenig. Der Dessert von meiner Frau war auch viel zu wenig für zu viel Geld. Fazit. Ab sofort ein No Go!

I really hope that the only (!) waitress who worked at the Mother's Day buffet receives a big bonus from her employer. She really gave it her all, but of course had no chance of keeping up with serving, refilling, clearing and collecting. Very, very annoying for the expensive money that it sometimes took a good hour for scrambled eggs, pancakes, clean plates etc. to be added. But guests who complain about this to this poor woman should have been directly banned from the property by the owner. She had no chance! There was simply a lack of staff. In terms of the variety on offer compared to previous years (no more salmon, no juice, no sparkling wine...), the Swan can hardly keep up with the Extrablatt. In the end we paid > 100 euros for 2-3 rolls each with scrambled eggs, cold cuts and some fruit + drinks.

In any case. Breakfast is great, the selection is large and very tasty. A little more expensive than the extra sheet opposite.

Nice location but chaotic service. Unfortunately, the food is far below average. Fries were cold and dry - schnitzel not crispy, burgers also not recommended. But prices are proudly quoted for this, we wouldn't go there again.

Sitting on the terrace in the sun and enjoying a cool drink is easy here. Since the terrace is at ground level, it is also easily accessible with a wheelchair.

I had ordered from the general menu. I won't tell you what, but overall it was an unparalleled failure!!!! We enjoyed coming to the Schwan for breakfast with our friends more often every year. Today we were unfortunately disappointed compared to before. The price has remained the same, but the performance has decreased. There used to be Nuremberg sausages (my daughter was looking forward to that), Mettkugeln for Mettbrötchen (my friend was looking forward to that), multi-juice (I was looking forward to that), a glass of sparkling wine (the other friend was looking forward to that) and a few other little touches that were now missing or were no longer there. You could order the drinks for a hefty price. The waitress said the “big buffet” was now only available on holidays. Well, that's when we spend time at home with our loved ones. Update: A few days later someone from the Swan called me and explained to me the reasons why this change had to happen. I understand that restaurants are having an increasingly difficult time these days. I have revised the rating upwards.

We sat outside today. There were about 6 tables occupied. After the lady walked past us for the third time (so far we have pointed out, but no reaction), we said hello and waved in the hope that someone would notice us! She looked over at us and barked really loudly, "Just a minute, I'm coming." The expression on her face was really disgusting! ALL the other tables looked at us like we did something wrong! She could have just nodded that she took us and appears as soon as she can. It's not as if everyone wanted something from her at the same time. No! We probably didn't suit her!!! Who runs past three times without reacting? We stood up and said that we wouldn't eat where guests would be treated so rudely! So we definitely don’t recommend it!

A really good breakfast brunch. The selection isn't incredibly large, but we didn't miss anything. Everything was very fresh and was replenished regularly. The buffet was of very good quality and I would therefore recommend Schwan.

Went to the Schwan for breakfast yesterday. The price remained the same as last time. For this, the buffet reduced by 50%. Where have the delicious Nurembergers gone? Where are the warm mushrooms? Where was the salmon? And much worse, where did the champagne holder go with the Schwansekt.????? That was all standard. Instead of courting the guest, the time was shortened by 1.5 hours to 12 p.m. It's a shame but that was our last visit with you. Very Very weak….!!!!!

Nice and quick service, you sit very comfortably inside and unobtrusive music played at the right volume. Big pro - there is Gaffel Kölsch - good for people displaced from Cologne. Price/performance goes. Varied daily menu. But we'd love to come back - there are nice tables outside at the beautiful market in Neuss.

Went there for breakfast for a while and were very disappointed. The selection was very limited and not at all acceptable for the price of 18.90 euros per person.

Went there for a coffee. It was very quiet and only one waitress. Unfortunately, after ordering a coffee, it didn't come anymore. Unfortunately, it smelled like a “bad deep fryer/old fat” every time it was turned on. The waitress was actually very friendly.

As a delivery driver, I can only say that I get in a bad mood when I get a delivery from you. The manager kicked me out of the restaurant because "I'm not allowed to wear sunglasses in his building." I find her very discriminatory. I can imagine her calling me ciguena on the next delivery just because I'm from Romania.

The Cordon Blue was a complete disappointment for the money. I just advise against it. The taste was okay, but far too little for so much money.

Extremely cozy restaurant, with lots of golden accessories, frames, comfortable chairs, very attentive, cheerful service people and HEAVENLY food. The selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes is there, the selection of drinks is huge and, despite many other guests, pleasant and completely normal, or pleasant.

Impressive restaurant-café in the heart of Neuss' old town, right next to the Quirinus Minster. Attentive service, modern ambience and correct prices guarantee a relaxing stay.

All in all, the food was okay, but mixed. My currywurst was delicious with a homemade fruity curry sauce, but a friend's cheese spaetzle was an indefinable mush that was probably made with flour...not very appetizing. The service really leaves a lot to be desired! I had ordered normal tap water, but what I was charged in the end was a carafe of 0.5 table water for almost 5 euros. A friend had ordered a large soda and was given a small one which was then returned and topped with some sparkling water, making the soda more water than lemonade. And in the end there was a lot of confusion as to whether all the espressos were paid for or not... The friendliness of the conditions can also be improved! Five of us were in the restaurant on a Friday evening. We didn't have a reservation and actually everything was occupied. We were asked if there were five of us who would like to sit at a table for four. Yes, we wanted to. A chair was provided for us. The waitress was very friendly, helpful, attentive and funny. I ate the winter tarte flambée with red cabbage and speculoos. It sounded so crazy that I had to try it. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo. The tarte flambée was hot and fresh and really tasty. There was also lemon-mint lemonade. A successful evening.

We were invited to this restaurant by friends and overall we were very satisfied. The food was really good, everything from the quality to the presentation was spot on. The service was also impeccable - very attentive, friendly and always tried to prepare us a pleasant evening. The ambience is okay, but could be a little more cozy or modern to round off the overall impression. Nevertheless, we felt comfortable and really enjoyed the evening. A visit is definitely worth it and we can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

Nicely decorated cafe with friendly staff. It took a relatively long time for us to receive our food compared to the number of visitors present, but the food made up for it! I had the vegetarian vegetable schnitzel with fries and chili hollandaise sauce. It was very filling, so be prepared for this!

We had a meal with the family at the weekend and chose this restaurant because of the gluten-free burger buns, as two of us suffer from gluten intolerance. Unfortunately, ten minutes after we ordered, we were informed that there were no more gluten-free rolls available. This was very disappointing as we had chosen the store for this very reason. After we asked the waiter if he could serve us the burger without bread but with EXTRA salad, he said yes. Therefore, we assumed that we would also receive the additional salad as requested. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Instead, we ended up with just a dry beetroot patty on our plate, without the promised extra salad. Unfortunately, we couldn't all eat together because our mother's burger was simply forgotten. He arrived 15 minutes later. We ended up having to pay 36 euros for two dry patties and what felt like three fries, which we really found to be unreasonable. The portion was so tiny that we never expected that we would end up being charged the full amount for two full burgers. To charge for something like that is really outrageous.

Und dann noch die Sache mit der Rechnung. Fazit, keine gute Empfehlung. Auch das Essen war wirklich keine Meisterleistung.

Be sure to check the bill, you should have paid too much for 2 drinks! I always have a bad feeling when I look at the bill and it's supposed to be 2 drinks too much and it was all just an oversight. Especially if the apology doesn't really come across as sincere. In our case, we had to wait an hour for the second drink, as there were few guests in the restaurant. And then there's the matter of the bill. Conclusion, not a good recommendation. The food really wasn't a masterpiece either.

We were there for breakfast on Sunday. Unfortunately, breakfast has been reduced to a minimum. There are only three different cold cuts (salami, ham and Gouda). Additionally jam and Nutella. There is a choice of rolls (two types and bread). Simple muesli and yoghurt are still available and boiled eggs. Unfortunately, I understand something different by Sunday breakfast. In addition, scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. cost extra. The buffet cost 12 euros per person. Unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied and know it differently. Unfortunately, the service staff's statements were not understanding either because she said the demand wasn't big enough and too much was thrown away. The store was very busy and you could hear dissatisfaction from guests from every corner. We paid just under €48 for a two-person buffet and two drinks each. In my opinion, price-performance is not right at all. It's a shame that it has deteriorated like this. We won't come back again and will go to the shop opposite, where the breakfast is more varied and costs 15.95. It's a shame because the atmosphere is very nice and pleasant.

We were there today for holiday brunch. Unfortunately, all of us (8 people) were very disappointed. For just under €26 I find the buffet very poor. The selection is very manageable (types of cheese e.g. Gouda and 1 Camenbert) The baked rolls were really hard (they had probably been in the basket for a few hours, but this probably wouldn't have happened with fresh rolls), as were the pretzels. No croissants, just 1 mare. There was carelessly prepared tomato mozzarella, although it was actually just tomato slices and a bowl of mozzarella balls. For the branch there was a pumpkin soup that was completely over-seasoned for our taste, as well as fried potatoes and fried champions. I understand that you want to act sustainably and not throw away so much, but for €26 I have to offer something. Because of course this price does NOT include drinks. Last but not least, the period from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. is advertised both online and in front of the door... shortly after 12 p.m. we were informed that the buffet would be cleared away immediately. When we asked, they just said yes, that's the wrong time. Sorry, but unfortunately it doesn't work at all. Unfortunately not a very positive experience today and certainly the last brunch at the Schwan.

The menu offers a selection of delicious German dishes prepared with great attention to detail. Thank you very much for the wonderful hours in your restaurant. We really enjoyed the visit and felt completely comfortable. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the food was excellent. We would love to come back and are already looking forward to our next visit. Centrally located in the city center, the Schwan offers a nice ambience and delicious food. The portions could be larger. The food is beautifully prepared and fresh. The homemade lemonades are recommended.

A great restaurant, with very friendly staff. So far I've been here for breakfast twice and it was great. The food is delicious and fresh, the buffet is small and relatively cheap, but you can book individual additional requests. This means that everyone gets what they want fresh, there are fewer leftovers and the quality is significantly better. The atmosphere is cozy and lovingly furnished. The staff is the main argument for me, everyone is really friendly and helpful. We try to fulfill every wish. I should have come here much earlier.

Orange juice sold out around 10am. Sausage selection manageable. The hard wooden chairs are part of the ambience. The result for me: I had a better and cheaper breakfast

In short, the service is very attentive and very friendly, the quality of the food is really recommendable (I had a delicious turkey schnitzel with potatoes and pointed cabbage) and please ask at the bar for the hazelnut schnapps - simply delicious! Please keep it up!

We went to the Schwan for breakfast and were very disappointed. Price-performance doesn't fit at all here. Dry rolls, one type of cheese, sausage and ham plus jam. Plus some fruit and cornflakes. There was nothing more. This definitely cannot be described as a good and certainly not a diverse buffet. There is much better quality and quantity available elsewhere for the same money. Unfortunately, we weren't asked about any drinks we wanted. We're definitely not coming back.

The culinary offering is dominated by schnitzel and fries. There are also burgers, meatloaf and other simple dishes. Vegetarians and vegans have also been taken into consideration. I found the prices a bit too high for the quality offered. For the money you can eat better in Neuss City.

We arrived on time and had free choice of seats. After waiting 15 minutes we were served and were able to order our drinks. Then it started. I went into the restaurant with great anticipation and wanted to get my first portion. "Oh. Is that all?" I thought. There were normal rolls, grain rolls, toast and crispbread. You could use margarine and butter for this. The margarine was almost melted. There were two types of sausage, but as a vegetarian I wasn't interested in them. What interested me, however, was that the one type of cheese that was available was right next to the sausage and there were no extra tongs. There was also sweet spread. Are you wondering what else was there? Well, a lot. However, everything else like eggs or something like that cost extra. Unfortunately I have to say that I am more than disappointed. The price-performance ratio is not justified at all. The performance is clearly lacking here.
