The food was excellent. We'd love to come back!

In April there were seven of us in this great restaurant. The food was fantastic and perfectly prepared. The drinks are well-tempered and the ambience in the shadow of the castle is unique. An all-round successful evening! One of the best restaurants in Krefeld and the surrounding area!

We were very pleasantly surprised, after being closed for so long, we tried it out, very good cuisine, super nice and dog-friendly. Will definitely eat there more often now, a good menu for everyone 👍😊 Unfortunately the second time was catastrophic 😢

With 8 people we really enjoyed our meal. We got a nice cup of soup as a starter, then a nice salad and the main course, together with the fries or potato croquettes. The service was neat and he was a friendly man. The decor was simple, but the food was good and fresh!!!

No, we had four dishes (1x cold dish (salmon), 3 of which were extremely oversalted!!!!. And the quantity on the plates was absolutely disproportionate to the prices. Personally, I made myself something to eat at home, my conclusion: men don't get full!! We asked the owner or the waitress about the situation. Yes, he had tried a dish in the kitchen and I was 100% right that the dish was oversalted. Since the evening was pretty bad, he didn't offer a voucher or a refund when billing. Only !!!! a digestive schnapps... you actually needed a big bottle of water! Well: Hopefully this restaurant doesn't continue like this, otherwise it will end up like Hohaus, namely in rubble and ashes!

Great food, on point and super tasty!! The soup was excellent (and plentiful, we had to take half the main course with us, which wasn't a problem at all)!! The chef brings the food himself and does a really good job! Char, asparagus, schnitzel, everything was very, very tasty! The homemade hollandaise sauce is a dream! We'd love to come back!

I have known the Abel restaurant since I was a child. It was my father's favorite restaurant. I still like going there today. The food is good. I can also take our dog with me. There have never been any problems with the dog not being welcome. Of course, that was always pleasant for me. I've had different experiences in other restaurants. In the summer you can also sit very comfortably in the beer garden. I'm very happy with Abel.😀

He visto algunas opiniones negativas sobre este lugar, pero tengo que decir que he estado en este lugar cada vez que he estado en Dortmund, que es muchas veces, y siempre he disfrutado tomando una cerveza aquí y nunca sentí ninguna hostilidad. Lo recomendaría como un lugar auténtico para ir a comer y beber.

Es hat alles gepasst. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend hier verbracht. Nicht nur die Bewirtung, sondern auch das Essen verdient die höchste Benotung.

Super friendly staff and landlady. She served us with a smile and make us comfortable to dine there. She recommended us the Aachen cuisines which are perfect to taste. Food is fantastic plus with nice German interior decorations. If you want to have German pork leg, they don’t have it. We had Schnitzel Wienerart mit Pommes frites und kleinem Beilagensalat, „Einhorn-Teller", Aachener Sauerbraten in Printensauce and Paniertes Seehechtfilet. They are good and tasty local food. I will surely be there again.

The food and ambience were great but 1 server for a wedding party of 20 was definitely not enough.
