2024-10-22 Unfortunately my review was no longer online for inexplicable reasons. Since we/I still really enjoy eating there and have celebrated our wedding in the Redoute in the meantime, here is the review from back then. Full 5 stars because unfortunately more is not possible!!!😭 As an introduction, I/we can only say that I have rarely felt so comfortable and eaten well. Plus in a beautiful and cozy atmosphere😍👌👏It couldn't get any better. The staff and the waitresses were very friendly, funny and accommodating and you immediately felt at home🥳👍 The service was also super fast and very attentive. What was remarkable, among other things, was that every service person was able to answer all questions. No matter whether it was about the Redüttchen itself, the food or the wonderful wines. The food is simply incredibly tasty at a top price-performance ratio. I would definitely like to recommend the very tasty goose.😋🍽👌We had this in the 3-course menu. There was also a greeting from the kitchen and one or two treats between the courses and even after dessert!👨‍🍳👩‍🍳You can still see my enthusiasm even as I write it😂If you want, you can also go up to 6 Increase the course menu👍👌In short, there really isn't anything more. Finally, a huge compliment to our service staff! 😃This means that the quality of a restaurant rises and falls. Even the best chef cannot shine without excellent service. Have been back to Maternus for a long time. Big disappointment. Although the menu hasn't changed much - the quality has. Roast goose: the meat is dry and tough. Everything on the plate is messed up and messed up. The 'sauce': nothing more than a lukewarm, brown flour broth. Complained and came back exactly the same, only this time hot. So it's not just weak in taste, but completely tasteless! We had never experienced anything like this before. Roast goose in particular makes a great sauce. At least somewhere else. Too bad.

It was my second attempt in this restaurant, but the landlord is and remains just rude and showed impossible behavior. I'm glad I ended the conversation, except: "and what else, tell me, and what else..." with an extremely violent body language, nothing more came. I'm really upset and that's only because I said the bacon was burnt on the burger. Which, by the way, according to the innkeeper, is exactly how it should be. Furthermore, the burger I ordered wasn't worth €16, the burger patty is very thin in relation to the remaining ingredients and was completely cooked and dry for me. The fries were perfect and delicious. At first glance the ambience looks very cozy and nice, unfortunately it's better not to sit in the back in winter as smokers constantly open the door to the outside.

My pork fillet with croquettes in Marsala sauce was very tasty❤️ The price is reasonable and the service was courteous and friendly. But I have to deduct a star because EC payment is not possible and I find that disappointing for 2024.

Delicious sauerbraten, friendly and fast service. I would love to come back next time in Bonn.
