Were here for the first time. We really liked it. The food was very tasty. The service was great, very nice service. Good price-performance ratio. Come again.

Definitely a place to visit. The beers are good. Teh schnitzel and chips are delicious. The atmosphere is styşish and nice.👍🏽

Very interesting interior. Great service. Decent beer. The only downside was the schnitzel. We made a reservation 4 days in advance. The place was packed. So plan your visit ahead of time. On Friday evening, there was no room to drop an apple. We were warned that we had 20 minutes to place our food order; after that, we would wait a long time for the food. The schnitzel was a bit dry. For the sake of the beer and the interior, I would come back again.

Came in for a quick drink. Beers were very expensive, 6.50 for a 0.5L serving of local beer. There was no signs saying it was cash only so I assumed I could use my card. A male staff member was very rude about paying with card. Would avoid this place if possible

Although the reception was not very pleasant, we drank a very good beer and the food was great, the waiter later turned out to be very friendly. In short, we had a very good time in a fairly typical Berlin atmosphere. A shame we didn't get a low table and order more food. We still have a few days left in Berlin......

We went in knowing it's the oldest restaurant/bar in Berlin so probably touristy. The prices might be a bit higher than one would expect for Berliner/German food, but the quality of the ingredients, taste and care that went into our meal was noticeable. We went in for lunch had the Klopse ("meatballs") and half a duck, and the flavors, textures and presentation were on point. We also had the homemade pickled winter vegetables, and they were superb! They were quality veggies cut perfectly for each veg type and complemented our meals with a nice zing. We're big eaters, so I was a bit worried because the other reviews talk about leaving hungry. Our portions were big and so filling that we felt full well into the evening. We were too full for dessert. The service was great! Very friendly and the server spoke both English and German. She was patient and very helpful. The wine menu has a nice selection, and we were happy to try different Sekts that were delicious. I definitely expect to return when I have friends visiting the city or when we have something to celebrate.

Delicious tarte flambée and live music. Nice pub feeling.

Unfortunately, I have to say that we are totally disappointed that our appointment, which we made in mid-November... was even confirmed... and the restaurant canceled it due to lack of space, which was really unpleasant... two weeks after making the appointment. Now here we are... two families... and have to find an alternative 2 weeks before Christmas... I find it really impossible... and then I offer on the phone that they are welcome to come in the evening at 7 p.m.... of course great with small children... well... maybe next year... if your system or the MA doesn't plan for it We were there 2 years ago.. great food! Everything is great!

We were in Berlin as tourists and found the restaurant next to our hotel. When we saw the prices from outside, we thought it was a gag. When we arrived inside we were greeted very friendly and given a table. The waitress had her heart in the right place and took our order. A short time later the food arrived. Real German home cooking. We felt very comfortable there and thought our grandma cooked for us. This corner pub is one of 400 old, original restaurants still in existence, which has retained its rustic charm. When the waitress came with the final bill and we paid €40 in total with a tip for four people - drink, main course and dessert - we left the restaurant satisfied and very surprised. We can only highly recommend this restaurant and hope that this restaurant stays open for a long time. We will be happy to come back on our next visit to Berlin and would also be happy to recommend it to others.

Waitress apparently wasn't in a good mood.. dry service and slightly rude. Leberkäs was in the pan for a very long time and the fish was also very dry.

Food was good, very expensive, very bad atmosphere

A very tasty meal in a historic location. Unfortunately it suddenly closed and it looks like it won't open anymore. Can this be?
