Service very friendly and attentive. The ambience is typical and cozy, even if it's not completely full. While eating, they are welcome to show off more crafts for the (new) prices. It was too expensive for my meal. And because we didn't do much of our own work, the food came after just a few minutes. Better quality and wait a little longer. But after three beers (almost) anything works ;-)

If the employees were interested in their job and showed a bit of friendliness, it would even be nice

Been there twice now for food. No complaints. Lovely food well cooked. Quick efficient service. Friendly staff, would recommend. Abit on the expensive side but it is Berlin and in the tourist area

Located near a major hub on the city transportation system right near the Berlin Zoo (and Primark which is also a destination for many). The staff were friendly and service was fast. The food was excellent....highly recommend a bowl of their potato soup or goulash. And if you're in the mood for a chilly German beer....yes, you're in a beer hall! Price wise, this is DEFINITELY an affordable place to rest the feet while regaining your energy with good food and cold drinks (or of course a coffee if you prefer). Typical German hospitality and quality at a really good price.

2024-07-28. During our pub crawl, we took a bite at the outdoor seating before closing. Large and quiet patio, but located right on a busy street. The staff were nice and indoors there was a lovely atmosphere. The beer was a bit pricey compared to other places but tasted very good!

After a full day of visiting the beautiful city, we found a restaurant near the hotel. This one stood out. It was pleasantly busy on the terrace and inside. We ordered a beer and two schnitzels from the extremely friendly waiter. These appeared on the table quite quickly. We ate and drank deliciously and we didn't even pay too much while we were on the Kurfustendam. Highly recommended!

It was a very good experience. When we went this time, a marathon was being held on the street. We sat outside and had a good perspective to watch the race. Business was very popular, it was raining heavily that day, but the seats were full of people.

Food was ok, but quite expensive. Water was still carbonated. The service wasn't really motivated. It was disgusting that someone thought they could relieve themselves by using the handheld air dryer.

Trying authentic German food today and of course we have to have a beer to go with it. This place is perfect for people watching.

They really annoyed me. It was 11PM, I asked if we could sit inside & the lady told me yes sit anywhere. We sit & she comes back later saying we can't sit there.....so she gives us a few choices wedged between other ppl. We finally order & the waiter comes back a whole 10 minutes later saying the kitchen just told him they're closed. Wow. Get it together.

Really good shop. Here you can still experience the old Berlin and not this newfangled shishi stuff. Fine old, rustic Berlin restaurant, exactly how you want it. Beer is ice cold, food is delicious and the service is first class. We keep coming back!

Everytime we passed by the restaurant is always crowded so we got curios and tried it out. Food: The schnitzel was delicious! Crispy coating with tender, moist meat underneath. Probably the best schnitzel I have ever had. Service: Friendly staff. Serving was very quick. Atmosphere: Very big restaurant and since the outside seating is famous during the summer, the inside was a bit dark. We sat inside to avoid smokers while eating.

The food is about 3 times more than it should be, as is the beer. The beer I had was spoiled and diluted, the lines must be filthy. They did replace it, which is their only saving grace. The currywurst sauce was way too sweet, it was basically just passata with little to no kick. I felt a little sick after the spoilt beer and my teeth ached from the masses of sugar and god knows what else. The single leaf of lettuce was unwashed, floppy and tasted of chemicals. The service was so-so, the servers were dismissive of the obviously spoilt beer, claimed it always tastes like that for that beer (it doesn't), implying I'm just a dumb tourist who doesn't know better, refusing to admit there was a fault. It's always difficult in these situations to voice your complaints in the moment, and being British you tend to just grit your teeth and say "yeah it's fine", but I won't be coming back here.

Didn't eat but seen and smelt food as it came past which made my mouth water a bit. This is a good big sized pub the service was good and the drinks were good as well, highly recommend this place.

I was there yesterday for the pub quiz and we were waiting for almost an hour to get our drinks! The waitresses were very slowly carrying the food, one plate at a time - maybe they ran out of trays? The drink prices are really high also. Will definitely find a different place for a pub quiz

Visited this place after walking around searching for a restaurant which was still opened after 10pm. Found this place near to the hotel. Lots of football fans were watching Euro Football on TV. Lucky to get a table and we had very good time. Will be back.

Cozy beer bar with fast and friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere. Many monitors and screens throughout the restaurant make it possible to watch football from virtually any seat. The chicken wings were outstanding!

Very friendly service, nice location. However, the food was average and I also felt there was some diversity missing from the menu.

Wasn't served despite the store being quite empty and there being numerous waiters. 10 mins. Bad.

We were served very nicely and quickly here. Prices are okay - e.g. B. €10.50 for a 'Sex on the Beach'. The ambience inside is very quaint and inviting, in my opinion. The only thing I unfortunately have to complain about is the women's toilet: only the third cubicle could be locked; The toilet rooms all seem very unkempt.

The knuckle was tasty and juicy, the beer was excellent, the service was excellent.

Quick efficient service. We had the goulash soup and apple strudel. Both were excellent. Strudel was the best we had in Germany.

Back after 7 years and food still as good! The schnitzel is fantastic and the cold beer too! Always crowded with locals! They have a fantastic desert selection but I am always too full to try! Highly recommended!

It's probably designed for tourists. However, I can't imagine going there a second time. We had reserved for a large group. When we arrived we still had to move the tables together. The tables were sticky. When the food came the waitress asked "who has the sweet potato fries?". Nobody answered. Even after asking twice more, no questions asked. None of us ordered it. Then she got loud and said “Are you kidding me?” I think that behavior like this is counterproductive for customer loyalty. The vegetarian selection also leaves a lot to be desired. And that in Berlin. The prices are also rather hefty. Berliner Weisse usually costs around 2-3 € less everywhere else.

Best schnitzel I had during my week in Berlin. Great service, great beer, great food. Not fancy but I was looking for a pub so I wasn't disappointed.

For this price the food is not good at all...baked potatoes cold, dip no taste and salad no dressing on it. Schnitzel like the sole of a shoe, potato salad over-acidified with vinegar. 😡Never again

The (Kartoffel) Potato soup was tasty but quite overpriced for the portion - €10.5 Also, interior was quite run down and smelly.

Nice place to start the day off before you head to the stadium to watch the only team worth watching in Berlin the mighty Hertha BSC . Good beer at tourist prices . Just like Wetherspoons a long walk to the toilets at the back of the pub. Gets very busy when the suns out

Crowded and noisy. But, this is a pub with food service so that must be expected. The menu was limited. We ordered the schnitzel with fries. It was not the best, a little bit dry. But the fries were excellent. The salad and dressing was also good. Service was fast and polite, even though the place was almost full the saturday afternoon we were there.

Great big, booming place. Busy, friendly, good food, good pilsner, a mix of local regulars and lots of out-of-towners too. The fare is typically Germanic. You'll get Kassler, schweinschnitzel, currywurst, sauerkraut in spades with the ubiquitous kartofflen - spuds to us. it's been around forever, runs like a swiss watch, the staff are friendly and busy and it is a joy to come here. The ambience - well if you were ever in a really good JD Wetherspoons in the UK, add lots of tradition and move it upmarket, this is it. it loses just one dot because we had to wait half an hour on one visit and then they didn't have the dish. It happens. here they do care though. I go to Berlin quite a lot these days - 3-4 times a year. This is a must-visit ritual. Love it.

Service was very aggressive and I would never come here. That was the bad experience I had in Berlin. An employee tried to throw us out just because we didn't want to order the food. That was really STRANGE. I don't recommend anyone to come here!!!

Characteristic, but in a very declining phase, the atmosphere remains that of the classic German brewery, even if not in full style. Otherwise the waitresses were very busy but present. The food is not of great quality.

The beer salon is a good address for people who like to drink beer, want to watch a Bayern defeat (3:2 in Bochum) and like full huts. It's even better when there's live music playing too!

For me the food is snack food. No fresh goods. If I were to go there again, it would only be for a drink.

Schnitzel traditionell bestellt. Das Schnitzel, das kam, hatte die Anmutung von industriell gefertigtem Kunstfleisch und schmeckte auch so. Der Salat war mit vorgefertigter Soße aus dem Eimer mit Trockenkräutern angerichtet. Wie das Lokal so gut bewertet werden kann ist mir vollkommen schleierhaft

A good casual spot for Berliner cuisine near to zoo. Came here with a colleague as we wanted to find something casual that offered local food. We ordered a couple beers and watched some German football commentary to start. I then ordered the Schweineschnitzel (pork schnitzel) and my colleague ordered the Backhahnchen. Both dishes were good. The schnitzel wasn’t the best I’ve had in Germany, but it was good. Dessert wise, there is an impressive display full of cakes to choose from… Service was really good! Our waitress was friendly and attentive!

Also, but not just for tourists. Authentic and cozy opportunity for a drink after work. Because of the excellent location you have to accept the Ku'damm surcharge in the prices.

Service is super nice, but food falls behind...

Place that must be on the route through Berlin. Typical European bar and restaurant with original German food. The food was very good and the service impeccable. The only detail is the menus of dishes and beers that are not very extensive, which makes it a must-see place, but only for a couple of times.

So I've been going to the Green Week at the exhibition grounds for over a decade and we always stop at the beer salon the day before and after visiting the trade fair. For me, a typical Berlin pub with Berlin charm. Not to be confused with the typical Belin corner pub. The food is good and the prices are reasonable.
