Came in for a quick drink. Beers were very expensive, 6.50 for a 0.5L serving of local beer. There was no signs saying it was cash only so I assumed I could use my card. A male staff member was very rude about paying with card. Would avoid this place if possible

As advertised, the schnitzel was great... Super crunchy outside, tender inside, delicious mushroom sauce. Also had the goulasch which was great for dipping the soft bread. Add a couple draft beers and voila! Service was fine as well, I'm just stingy with my stars 🙄😁. Atmosphere was a little dark, but very cozy. Would definitely return.

20 minutes until the order was placed and another 20 minutes until the drinks arrived If you pay skilled workers well, 3 workers rock the whole place

It's a very small but beautiful place.

Typical Berlin atmosphere. Room furnished with vintage objects. We were happy with the vegetarian dish we ate, potato pasta with vegetables. The strudel was excellent, also served in a magnificent way. All portions of the dishes were very generous.

The main thing is that the Freiburg scarf is simply awesome

It doesn't close at 12:00 a.m. but today on November 11th, 2024 at 10:30 p.m. - no more service after that

Food was okay, value for money was more like three stars, service was great, the atmosphere was great for watching football.

Here you can still have a nice beer at midnight. The service is confident and friendly. Beer parlor or pub? Who knows? Unfortunately there's nothing left to eat this late except plum cake with streusel. In the candy shop next door you can get a hot dog to make yourself...

The beer salon lives up to its name!! This old facility is simply fantastic!!! The food was very tasty and huge portions!!! The staff was completely friendly and helpful!!!

Das Essen ist eine Unverschämtheit! Billigster Kantinenfrass im 80 er Jahre Stil. Verkochtes TK Gemüse, Kartoffeln aus dem Glas und ein undefinierbares, trockenes Stück Formfleisch. In Original Sprudelwassser Flaschen wurde Leitungswasser gefüllt.

Cozy beer salon. Delicious food. You should bring a little freshness into it. Why isn't there a Mampe half and half? Toilets take a lot of getting used to.

A huge store where it's better not to look behind the scenes

Ich ging mit einem Freund einen halben Liter Bier trinken und wusste, dass die Bar um eins schließt. Um 23.30 Uhr fingen sie an, uns zu drängen, weil sie innerhalb von 10 Minuten schlossen, und so tranken wir das Bier schnell aus, weil wir es bereits bezahlt hatten. Uns war die ganze Nacht schlecht, weil wir das Bier getrunken hatten.

Super nice old Berlin restaurant, drinks great... food was good... the only small drawback is that it is a bit overpriced. Otherwise recommended

The best place for a good Berlin beer!

Historic place in Berlin, very large and with the characteristics of the classic German beer hall. Wide choice of beers and typical cuisine, huge portions and at modest prices. The place was full both inside and outside, the waitresses were very busy but they never lost sight of us.

The fried items are unbelievably good: chicken wings kept me coming back here

Typical pub feeling - positively speaking - :-) . Very nice and attentive staff and very tasty food. We had eaten and drank there several times. Be it the potato soup or currywurst or the schnitzel taste very good. Finally I don't have to add salt to the fries. I really like the Lillet as well as the beer :-).

Unfortunately we were only here for a short time, but what I was able to experience made my heart happy. Our waitress Magdalena was incredibly friendly. It was fun to watch her. Keep it up Magdalena, you're doing wonderfully.

Unfortunately not like it was in the nineties

As a passing brit on holiday, I just popped in for coffee and apple strudel. Table service was prompt and friendly. The coffee and strudel were fabulous if a tad pricey, but it's right on the Ku'damm so to be expected I guess.

Enjoying a well-kept Berliner Pilsener on a warm summer evening is something you can do very well in the Alt Berliner Biersalon.

Stopped in for dinner. When I told them that I would like to sit at a table inside the restaurant, they guided me right away. I ordered beer, goulash soup, and Eisbein. The goulash was delicious as expected. The Eisbein was about 1.5 times bigger than I imagined and I couldn't finish it. However, it was soft and delicious. I will come again to try other menu items.

A genuine German food and beer place in Berlin. Good drinks and food, whether you want to eat a lot or a little. Large outdoor seating area with a view of the street life. Highly recommended.

Great shop, good beer and even better food. Every now and then beggars, jugglers and gypsies come by and you can marvel at them like you're in a zoo

Great food, really good German cuisine. Large selection of cakes, one tastes better than the other. It's great that it's always open there😀 Unfortunately, everything has changed quite a bit. The food still tastes good, but it's more run-of-the-mill and it's like a mass aversion. That's why we won't be coming again in the future.

service very poor and unfriendly

Very atmospheric place with a lively outdoor seating area. Service is fast, but not exceptional due to high number of guests. I ordered coffee and a chocolate cake and received the cake after I’ve already finished the coffee. I didn’t get any apologies and ordered one more coffee to accompany the dessert. Which arrived when I was done with the cake :-)) Beer is fresh, assortment is well-selected. Nachos - crispy and savory. Overall we have enjoyed.

Somehow uncool atmosphere among the employees. The whole experience is a bit clouded. But good location and lots of space.

My go-to place for decades when I want to sit outside at Ku'Damn. In the 80s I worked here, among other things: saw the Beatles Revival Band. Back then it was still called Joe am Kudamm. Hardly anything has changed inside. Memories keep coming back.

Finally real Berlin dishes again, but Ku'damm has its price, but still delicious. Friendly staff

Service very friendly and attentive. The ambience is typical and cozy, even if it's not completely full. While eating, they are welcome to show off more crafts for the (new) prices. It was too expensive for my meal. And because we didn't do much of our own work, the food came after just a few minutes. Better quality and wait a little longer. But after three beers (almost) anything works ;-)

If the employees were interested in their job and showed a bit of friendliness, it would even be nice

Located near a major hub on the city transportation system right near the Berlin Zoo (and Primark which is also a destination for many). The staff were friendly and service was fast. The food was excellent....highly recommend a bowl of their potato soup or goulash. And if you're in the mood for a chilly German beer....yes, you're in a beer hall! Price wise, this is DEFINITELY an affordable place to rest the feet while regaining your energy with good food and cold drinks (or of course a coffee if you prefer). Typical German hospitality and quality at a really good price.

2024-07-28. During our pub crawl, we took a bite at the outdoor seating before closing. Large and quiet patio, but located right on a busy street. The staff were nice and indoors there was a lovely atmosphere. The beer was a bit pricey compared to other places but tasted very good!

Is the perfect place in Berlin for drink something and eat with nice views of the Kudam.

Nice shop. Service was also friendly. I don't recommend schnitzel! Definitely frozen goods and the price is not justified in terms of taste! The other menus tasted ok.

After a full day of visiting the beautiful city, we found a restaurant near the hotel. This one stood out. It was pleasantly busy on the terrace and inside. We ordered a beer and two schnitzels from the extremely friendly waiter. These appeared on the table quite quickly. We ate and drank deliciously and we didn't even pay too much while we were on the Kurfustendam. Highly recommended!

It was a very good experience. When we went this time, a marathon was being held on the street. We sat outside and had a good perspective to watch the race. Business was very popular, it was raining heavily that day, but the seats were full of people.

Food was ok, but quite expensive. Water was still carbonated. The service wasn't really motivated. It was disgusting that someone thought they could relieve themselves by using the handheld air dryer.

Trying authentic German food today and of course we have to have a beer to go with it. This place is perfect for people watching.

Really good shop. Here you can still experience the old Berlin and not this newfangled shishi stuff. Fine old, rustic Berlin restaurant, exactly how you want it. Beer is ice cold, food is delicious and the service is first class. We keep coming back!

They really annoyed me. It was 11PM, I asked if we could sit inside & the lady told me yes sit anywhere. We sit & she comes back later saying we can't sit there.....so she gives us a few choices wedged between other ppl. We finally order & the waiter comes back a whole 10 minutes later saying the kitchen just told him they're closed. Wow. Get it together.

Absolute tourist shop. But the food is solid and fresh. Prices tend to be on the higher side. Some of the waitresses don't speak German.

Everytime we passed by the restaurant is always crowded so we got curios and tried it out. Food: The schnitzel was delicious! Crispy coating with tender, moist meat underneath. Probably the best schnitzel I have ever had. Service: Friendly staff. Serving was very quick. Atmosphere: Very big restaurant and since the outside seating is famous during the summer, the inside was a bit dark. We sat inside to avoid smokers while eating.

Didn't eat but seen and smelt food as it came past which made my mouth water a bit. This is a good big sized pub the service was good and the drinks were good as well, highly recommend this place.

The food is about 3 times more than it should be, as is the beer. The beer I had was spoiled and diluted, the lines must be filthy. They did replace it, which is their only saving grace. The currywurst sauce was way too sweet, it was basically just passata with little to no kick. I felt a little sick after the spoilt beer and my teeth ached from the masses of sugar and god knows what else. The single leaf of lettuce was unwashed, floppy and tasted of chemicals. The service was so-so, the servers were dismissive of the obviously spoilt beer, claimed it always tastes like that for that beer (it doesn't), implying I'm just a dumb tourist who doesn't know better, refusing to admit there was a fault. It's always difficult in these situations to voice your complaints in the moment, and being British you tend to just grit your teeth and say "yeah it's fine", but I won't be coming back here.

I was there yesterday for the pub quiz and we were waiting for almost an hour to get our drinks! The waitresses were very slowly carrying the food, one plate at a time - maybe they ran out of trays? The drink prices are really high also. Will definitely find a different place for a pub quiz

Visited this place after walking around searching for a restaurant which was still opened after 10pm. Found this place near to the hotel. Lots of football fans were watching Euro Football on TV. Lucky to get a table and we had very good time. Will be back.

Cozy beer bar with fast and friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere. Many monitors and screens throughout the restaurant make it possible to watch football from virtually any seat. The chicken wings were outstanding!
