Delicious food but very cheeky prices.. way too expensive compared to other restaurants with the same breakfast! 5 people 2 breakfast plates 110€ including tip? Very questionable...

This is our favorite. I enjoy eating and celebrating here. I love restaurants that always have consistent quality. Bavarian and Swabian cuisine without a lot of frills. The food is like your grandma's, you can hardly get it anymore. I get my sulz in two versions, lean and fat if you want. Great taste. Schnitzel tastes great. We have already celebrated with 70 people and it was simply uncomplicated and the food was excellent. I will always have my birthday party here because I won't be disappointed here. Thank you for everything, it's not a given to be so satisfied.

Raw Deer when the opposite of was requested. I left a more robust review on the Michelin app. In short feedback is not taken well. The wait staff confused orders and stuck to his mistake without admitting it. I took 9 of us to dinner, one experience degraded the experience. Response back to the Hotel Manager after he replied: Here’s the revised response without the “chef's intent” mention: --- Dear Mr. Erhard, Thank you for your response. While I appreciate the effort to address the evening’s events, it seems we experienced the night from two very different perspectives. To clarify, when I ordered a well-cooked dish, I did not expect a raw interpretation. When I raised this with your head waiter, I was met with a dismissive attitude, as though the customer’s preference held no significance. Regarding the chef, while he did not directly approach our table, he certainly made his feelings clear. His visible displeasure as he stepped out of the kitchen, engaged in a tense conversation with the head waiter, and made eye contact with me as he passed, spoke volumes. It’s rare to see such body language in what’s meant to be a welcoming dining environment—especially from the kitchen itself. As for your mention of “personal insults,” I must dispel that as a fabrication. Additionally, any apology from my friends was simply an attempt to restore peace to the evening, a duty that ideally should have been upheld by your staff rather than my guests. In hospitality, both the quality of food and the manner of the staff are paramount. Regrettably, this experience left much to be desired on both fronts. I trust this clarifies our side of the story. Wir wissen, dass Küchenchef Christian Grundl sehr gut kocht. Als wir hörten, dass er im Juli 2024 die Traube in Weiler übernommen hat, mussten wir natürlich vorbeikommen. An einem wunderschönen Herbsttag saßen wir mittags im Garten und ließen uns von Sarah vom Service verwöhnen. Das Essen war hervorragend und wunderschön angerichtet. Die Karte sieht auf den ersten Blick nach gehobener süddeutscher bürgerlicher Küche aus, es gibt aber auch Vorspeisen wie Pulpo auf Kürbis mit Kichererbsen und Feta. Die Portionen sind perfekt, um mehrere Gänge essen zu können. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis halten wir bei der gebotenen hervorragenden Qualität für mehr als angemessen. Wir können die Traube sehr empfehlen und kommen mit Sicherheit wieder!

Food, hospitality, everything at its best. The kitchen is a delight. Saturday schnitzel evening or subscription meal, always the best. Keep it up.

Rustic restaurant. Food really good and very plentiful. The price is completely okay. Eating took a bit long. There's only one person in the kitchen. But still really recommended.

This restaurant discriminates against non-vaccinated people. I will therefore never visit it again - not even after the pandemic!

We were there on our hike at 2:45 p.m. Unfortunately closed despite the sign for a lunch table and a hearty snack. We sat on the terrace for a moment and because of the heat and scorching sun I called. Someone also answered the phone. I asked if we could at least have something to drink, we are on the terrace. "No, this is not possible". It's a shame and not hiker-friendly!!!

The two of us spent our wedding anniversary here with a 3 course meal. The aperitif and the wine recommendation were appropriate. The food was just as good and tasty and the attentive service left no wish unfulfilled.

We came from swimming and first ate something hearty. The Cordon Bleu was excellent. It had a creamy cheese filling with leeks. Something different. Afterwards there was a tasty cappuccino and rhubarb meringue cake. The perfect ending.
