Very good schnitzel, but unfortunately the kitchen is too open.

A historic, quaint restaurant. Since we arrived before 5:00 PM, the hot food selection was limited, so we ordered schnitzel with potato salad. We received a huge portion, impossible to finish alone: ​​two enormous, paper-thin schnitzels and a large portion of potato salad. All for the unbelievable price of €11! The schnitzels were tasty, but the potato salad was very basic and overly vinegary. Despite this, I can still recommend it to schnitzel lovers. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the kitchen is open and visible, so the smell of grease lingers in the air.

The food was okay, but nothing spectacular, and the noise level inside was unbearable. We couldn't enjoy our meal at all; you couldn't hear yourself think. We actually wanted dessert, but we paid immediately after eating and just made a run for it. We had dessert somewhere else. We're definitely not going back there.

If you're looking for an absolutely enormous schnitzel, this is the place to go. The schnitzels are incredibly tender and pounded very thin. They taste fantastic. They also offer a variety of other dishes featuring schnitzel. In addition, there are other options for those who don't like schnitzel. You should definitely make a reservation or be prepared to wait a bit. During peak hours, it sometimes seems like they could use another server. Things can take a little longer than usual. However, once you've ordered, the food arrives quite quickly. All in all, the staff are attentive and friendly. Highly recommended for those with a hearty appetite.

Good and affordable! Everything was presented by a very friendly and fast team. My schnitzel was not only large but, above all, delicious. The fact that the fire department is yelling out bags of schnitzel rolls is certainly a testament to the quality.

Update September 2025: Still super delicious schnitzels – we'll definitely be back; the price/performance ratio is still right here (e.g., €4.10 for a half-liter)! Definitely an absolute highlight in the heart of Landshut – somewhat "hidden" with a small beer garden in the adjacent courtyard. The menu includes daily lunch specials and a wide selection for everyone – the infamous Wiener Schnitzel is truly amazing! Superb value for money and delicious!

When I read the menu online, I thought, "Sounds good, I'll go with my guest." Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. The food was almost cold, and the service wasn't exactly friendly. Too bad.

Excellent food at reasonable prices. We stayed at The Amalia hotel which was opposite this restaurant so it was very convenient. It is also convenient for the centre of the town and close to the river Isar. A lovely spot. Dogs allowed outside only which is fine and covered but not as atmospheric as inside.

By chance we saw the beer garden was open, so we went in. A very friendly welcome, and they even offered cushions for outside. I can highly recommend the dark and rosé wines. We also had delicious food. We were made aware that a lunch menu is served from 2 p.m., and that you can only order from the menu from 5 p.m. We had lunch on the first day and went back the next day. Since we like to play games, we naturally stayed a little longer than the other guests, but that wasn't a problem either. A great concept, they also have delicious takeaway food, it's amazing how they manage everything.

I accompanied it with a non-alcoholic dark wheat beer, which you don't get everywhere – really good. The service was friendly and attentive, and the decor was classic Bavarian and rustic, just right all around. Conclusion: If you're looking for hearty, traditional cuisine in a cozy atmosphere, this is the place for you. Large portions, great flavor, and a true inn atmosphere – highly recommended!

We were traveling for business and wanted a quick bite to eat. This restaurant is recommended for meat lovers; it's reasonably priced and serves all kinds of schnitzel. However, if you don't necessarily want to eat schnitzel, it's a bit more complicated. I ordered a turkey salad; it was okay, albeit a bit overseasoned. My husband was happy with his schnitzel. Side salad and ketchup had to be ordered separately. Still, it's very reasonably priced.

There was a lot going on, the service staff were busy and were always friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately there were too few of them. Food really tasty. The schnitzels are as big as the plates. Eigentlich hatte ich mich sehr auf diesen Besuch in dem etwas anderen Lokal gefreut. Leider hatte ich Appetit auf ein leckeres Cordon bleu und habe auch natürlich in der Karte gelesen, dass dort stand, dass es etwas dunkler gebraten ist. Okay, der Leihe stellt sich erst mal jetzt nichts besonderes vor. Als es Cordon bleu kam, wusste ich genau, was gemeint wurde mit dunkel gebraten. der Geschmack war wie verbrannt. Ich fragte die Bedienung, warum es dunkel angebraten wird und sie meinte, sonst wäre das Fleisch natürlich innen nicht durch. Eigentlich schon einleuchten aber jeder, der schon mal ein Cordon bleu gebraten hat, weiß dass die Panade trotzdem nicht schwarz verbrannt sein muss. Leider war das Cordon bleu, nicht wirklich genießbar, weil es immer diesen verbrannten Geschmack hatte. Zusätzlich hatte ich meine Pommes abbestellt und gesagt, ich hätte lieber einen kleinen Salat dazu, welche wirklich sehr lieblos und auch in der großen Menge auf einen Teller geklatscht wurde. Alle um mich herum, die dabei waren, haben sehr gut gegessen und die Schnitzel waren ansonsten wirklich gut aber mein Essen, dass ich hier bewerte, war überhaupt nichts. Als ich ans bezahlen ging, hatte ich mich noch gewundert warum ich denn jetzt, obwohl ich auf ne große Portion Pommes verzichten und lieber einen kleinen Salat nehme Auch noch 1,50 € Aufschlag zahlen muss. Aber die Bedienung meinte das wäre der Aufschlag weil ich es um bestellt hätte. Das finde ich schon ziemlich frech vor allen Dingen für die Qualität des aufgeklatscht Sten Salat es

I was actually really looking forward to this visit to this slightly different restaurant. Unfortunately, I had an appetite for a delicious cordon bleu and of course I read on the menu that it was fried a little darker. Okay, the loanee doesn't think of anything special at the moment. When the cordon bleu arrived, I knew exactly what was meant by dark fried. the taste was like burnt. I asked the waitress why it was fried until dark and she said otherwise the meat wouldn't be cooked through inside. It actually makes sense, but anyone who has ever fried a cordon bleu knows that the breading doesn't have to be burnt black. Unfortunately the cordon bleu wasn't really edible because it always had that burnt taste. In addition, I canceled my fries and said I would rather have a small salad with it, which was really very carelessly slapped onto a plate in large quantities. Everyone around me who was there ate very well and the schnitzels were otherwise really good, but the food I am reviewing here was nothing at all. When I went to pay, I was still wondering why, even though I forgo a large portion of fries and prefer a small salad, I still have to pay a surcharge of €1.50. But the waitress said that was the surcharge because I ordered it at. I think that's pretty cheeky, especially given the quality of the Sten Salad on top

I've been going there for schnitzel for over 20 years now. Whether in a roll or as a dish. It's always great. I can still remember when the schnitzel roll cost €2. It's been a long time, but the taste is the same. If you take "with everything". I'd love to come back. Keep it up. 👍 The only negative thing that has increased is the food steam that gets stuck on your clothes. Maybe the trigger could be optimized. But otherwise, as it should be. Just a real Bavarian “Boazn”.

We entered the Heilig Geist Stüberl inn on January 2nd, 2025 at around 7:00 p.m. and got a place for five people despite the inn being full. Since we were already very hungry, we were very happy that the portions were very large. So to clarify: none of us are weak eaters, although we struggled to eat everything! There's even some left over! The entire staff was very friendly. Although the menu wasn't large, the selection was so good that we couldn't decide straight away because everything was very interesting and suited our taste. We then decided on five large drinks, two breaded schnitzels with fries, two Milanese schnitzels and one cheese spaetzle. Unfortunately we were too full for the planned dessert. Since we are from Vienna, we honestly have to admit that this Viennese style schnitzel tastes better than in many restaurants here in Vienna. We will eat here again on our next visit to Germany! We paid €90 (including approx. 10% tip) so ~€16 to €18 per person. However, there is a small disadvantage: Since the kitchen is open, all the smells come into the guest area and the clothes smell like grease after the visit. I wouldn't deduct a star because of this, as this is not a rating/criticism but a personal annoying factor. We look forward to our next visit. Schnitzel is a bit oversized (I hope they let the rest be packed up), but the taste is okay, the atmosphere is nice and rustic, the prices and selection match, in peak times there is a 45 minute wait for the food, the service makes an effort.

Great price-performance ratio, if you leave here hungry you will leave hungry everywhere, the taste is also great. We also highly recommend taking schnitzel rolls with you for your lunch break, you can eat there almost every week or pick up lunch.

The kitchen thrives on using ready-made products. Frozen food, bucket goods and sauces from the industry make expensive kitchen staff unnecessary. The service staff's demeanor is friendly, and that was the case that evening. No overview, no independent requests for drinks, my place was always used as a place to serve the group. There were no trained or semi-skilled staff at our table that evening. We were a small group of 8 people, so it wasn't rocket science...
