FRANZZ Restaurant in Landshut

The food is first class in terms of quality and taste. However, you shouldn't go hungry. The main course portion (salmon for €28.50) is similar to a better starter. The starter (pumpkin essence with 1 small ravioli inside for €8.90) is like a greeting from the kitchen. The service is easily overwhelmed in a full restaurant. No wonder if a service person carries a maximum of 2 drinks. Maybe they are paid with mileage allowance? 😉 The ambience is really nice, especially the entrance and outside area. However, the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities could be better, so 1 point is deducted here.

We booked for our Wedding Anniversary and informed the staff. They did not mention anything which was disappointing. We were seated in a cold and overnighted back room with no atmosphere at all. Staff were slow with drinks and did not check in with us throughout the meal. Totally unacceptable. The started bread can without the butter which the turned up with the main starters. The starters were ok. My wife has the wildschwein ragout which was OK. My daughter had Schnitzel which was dry and not freshly prepared, unacceptable for 25€. I chose the veal back. The meat was under seasoned and tasteless. The vegetables were cold and undercooked as was the sauce which was thin and cold and not enough. When I said this to the staff they mad no apology. The quality of the food and the service was unacceptable considering the overpriced menu and poor service. It will be the last time we eat at Franzz and would not recommend.

You can't complain here. The prices are reasonable, the service is friendly and the food is not only generous but also tastes great.

We ate excellently. There was nothing to complain about. It was an overall wonderful Sunday meal.

Food was great, the Wiener Schnitzel I had could have easily been the best Schnitzel I've ever had. Other people at the table loved their food as well.

A very successful evening, great service for over 60 people, there was never a glass empty. And the food was to die for. Only recommended

We wanted to end the evening comfortably and have something to drink. When we asked about the menu, we got the answer from the waiter that we have everything😂😂 very arrogantly. Then I ordered a Belvenie single malt, on which we have everything. Waiter, we only have Ballentines.So much we have everything, unbelievable.😂😂😂🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

Very tasty food with great service.

Beer garden meets sophisticated cuisine. I had ox cheeks which were really very good, my husband had duck which was unfortunately a bit dry. Overall, the food is very good and you can tell that a lot of attention is paid to the quality of the products. Unfortunately the Negroni wasn't that good, but we were warned that it would be mixed differently there. The service was really great!

A huge compliment to Franz and his entire team. It is always a culinary pleasure to eat there. Variety, new and freshly prepared dishes ensure a pleasant and tasty stay. Keep it up!!!

After it was okay the last few times, we had to realize today that a lot of things here absolutely don't fit the high price. Eternal waiting times, both for food and drinks. 2 of the 3 service employees are absolutely overwhelmed and the 3rd is at the end of her strength. How a boss can allow good employees to go to the dogs like this is a mystery to me. The starter was really good, especially after I got my bread after a good 10 minutes. The asparagus soup was missing the croutons advertised on the menu and the cress. The Salzburger Schnitzel was nothing like that, but a mini schnitzel gratinated with cranberries (way too much) and cheese. My char and loup de mer had the cheapest frozen redfish on it, and I'm not the only one who sees this as absolute fraud. The dessert was okay again. All in all we had to spend over 2 hours there for a lunch menu. The beautiful beer garden alone is worth it there.

We spent a wonderful evening in the FRANZZ restaurant. Excellent food, great ambience and warm service. Perfect all around 🌟

Finally a restaurant that serves food where the price is absolutely justified. Super delicious food. I had the venison goulash, which was an absolute delight and the speculoos mousse rounded off the taste experience at the end. We'd love to come back.🥰

Franz Spornraft cooks excellently in his restaurant FRANZZ. He understands both down-to-earth country cuisine and upscale French cuisine. The interiors have a cozy atmosphere and you can spend a long time in the quiet guest garden in the summer. A little tip: the wine list could use a little revision ;-)

We (4 adults and a 5 year old child) ate at FRANZZ for the first time on Christmas Day. We were warmly welcomed and the restaurant has a pleasant flair and ambience. Unfortunately we got a table right at the kitchen exit with the bar behind us. This is of course very restless and loud. We only got the children's menu upon request. We reserved the table at 12:00 p.m., were extremely punctual and ordered the food straight away. At 1:15 p.m. the food finally arrived, which was quite good, but unfortunately only lukewarm. All in all, unfortunately a bit disappointing, especially at this price level. A pity.

Seht schönes Ambiente, ein heimeliger Mix aus Tradition und Moderne. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und das Essen exzellent - ich möchte fast behaupten, dass ich noch nie so einen guten Zwiebelrostbraten gegessen habe!

Essen ausgezeichnet, Service hat sich in den letzten Monaten stark verbessert.

Hier bekommt man lokale und moderne bayerische Küche, die mit viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet und auch serviert wird. Die Rote Beete Suppe hat mit dem ersten Löffel vollends überzeugt, ein geschmacklicher Traum. Und die Sauce der Entenbrust bleibt ebenso in bester Erinnerung, obwohl das Fleisch für mich einen Hauch zu durch gewesen ist - aber ich hätte das vorher sagen können / sollen. Das Ambiente überrascht, weil das Lokal eigentlich eher traditionell eingerichtet ist und das Mobiliar sicherlich schon einige Zeit den Dienst tut - aber alleine das große, moderne Bild verwandelt den Raum und gibt ihm einen dezenten Hauch von Balance zwischen alt und neu, Tradition und Moderne. Abgerundet wird das Erlebnis durch einen Service, der sich gleichsam freundlich wie kompetent kümmert. Für mich bislang das beste Essen in Landshut.

Hier kann man sehr gut speisen. Schweinsbraten mit vorzüglicher gehaltvoller Soße und frischem Speckkrautsalat, auch Vegetarisches wie Kirchererbsencurry oder Maultaschen waren sehr fein abgeschmeckt. Heute, 12.11.2023 spontan wieder da. Noch besser als bei den ersten beiden Besuchen. Rollbraten, sous vide gegarte Schweinbackerl, Wiener Schnitzel ein Gedicht. Für mich derzeit bestes Lokal in Landshut. Service war sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Empfehlung !

Ich hab schon lange nicht mehr so gut in einem Lokal gegessen. Der Service war super. Alles in allem sehr gut.

Sonntag Mittagessen. Hervorragend gegessen mit einem fairen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Ein großes Lob an den Service, Küche und den Chef.

wir waren mit einer größeren gruppe im biergarten. das essen war absolut zu empfehlen. der service war sichtlich bemüht aber leider überfordert. leider kam unser essen auch zu sehr unterschiedlichen zeiten. mehrere waren bereits fertig mit dem hauptgang während andere noch leider noch nichts hatten. insgesamt muss man sagen das essen ist top aber der service eher mittelmäßig.

Nachdem wir jahrelang die Goldene Sonne als Restaurant zu schätzen wussten, waren wir natürlich gespannt, wie es sich unter dem neuen Besitzer so macht. Ganz klar: wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Location ist natürlich genauso gut wie zuvor und auch an der Qualität der Küche hat sich praktisch nichts geändert - das ist auch gut so! Manche Speisen sind sogar einen Ticken besser: eine so leckere Spargelcreme Suppe habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen. Der Braten ist auf den Punkt genau saftig und kross, die Knödel zwar nicht typisch Bayrisch (ich vermute, aus 100% gekochten Kartoffeln), aber wahnsinnig gut. Man merkt, dass in allen Gängen, von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert viel Leidenschaft drin steckt. War bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal, dass wir hier waren.
