Es war eine der besten Mahlzeiten, die wir während unserer Reise durch Bayern genossen haben.

Ich habe des Essen und das Ambiente mit einem Punkt weniger bewertet, nicht weil es weniger gut war, sondern um die Servicekräfte und ihre hervorragende Arbeit hervor zu heben!

Bei herrlichem Wetter konnten wir im Biergarten hervorragend speisen. Der außergewöhnliche Service – freundlich, aufmerksam und lustig – hat uns den Abend versüßt. Super ist auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir werden mit Sicherheit wiederkommen.

Leider sehr enttäuschend und sein Geld nicht wert. Bestellt wurde ein Zwiebelrostbraten medium rare mit Bratkartoffeln und Schmelzzwiebeln. Das Fleisch kam durch, die Kartoffeln waren wie Gummi und die Zwiebeln waren fast roh. Die Soße war kalt und ein Fertigprodukt. Fleisch habe ich reklamiert, hier wurde nachgebessert, leider kam der 2. Versuch ebenfalls durch. Ich habe das Essen dann komplett stehen lassen. Vom Service wurde das Gericht zwar von der Rechnung genommen, aber entschuldigt oder nach einer Alternative gesucht wurde nicht. Im Gegenteil, man war genervt weil ich es nicht einfach gegessen habe. Bei diesem Gericht sind wir von 30€ Wert, weit entfernt. Das Ambiente und die Fotos der Speisen sehen wirklich sehr vielversprechend aus, deswegen war die Enttäuschung sehr groß.

Ich war mit meiner Familie hier beim Essen und wir waren alle total begeistert! Nicht nur das Essen schmeckt wirklich unglaublich lecker, sondern auch der Service ist wirklich sehr herzlich! Man merkt wirklich wieviel Liebe und Detail in Allem steckt! Ich kann dieses Restaurant wirklich nur vom Herzen weiter empfehlen:)

Eigentlich ein nettes Restaurant, aber wir hatten einen Platz im Nebenzimmer. Kahle Wände ungemütlich kalt (unbeheizt). Der Chef wirkte überheblich (war früher mal anders)

Wir kamen durch Zufall ins Gasthaus am Lohwald und wir können nur positives sagen. Freundlicher Service und sehr leckeres deutsches Essen. Sehr gerne wieder.

Also ich muss wirklich sagen, ich bin ja normalerweise sehr kritisch, aber hier gibt es absolut nichts zu meckern! Das Essen war hervorragend, endlich mal wieder richtige Portionen und Geschmack wie früher. Genau so gehört sich das!

Essen: Super wir hatten einen Zwiebelrostbraten und einen Schweinebraten und alles war Tip Top Service: Unglaublich nett. Der Kellner (ich glaube Chef) kam regelmäßig und hat gefragt ob alles in ordnung ist Preis: Die preise waren echt okay. Der Schweinebraten zB war bei 16€ Wartezeit: Gewartet haben wir überhaupt nicht da das restaurant zu dem Zeitpunkt (17:00 uhr) noch sehr leer war Der einzige Abzug war für die überschaubare Auswahl an Gerichte

Grandios! Der Service und das Essen! Gleich als wir uns gesetzt haben, haben die Kids Buntstifte bekommen um die Kinderkarten anzumalen. Das Essen war wirklich extrem lecker und auch zügig fertig. Was aber noch der Gipfel der grandiosität war, war folgendes: unsere Tochter hatte sich den Finger eingeklemmt und geweint. Ohne dass wir irgendetwas gesagt haben, kam sofort eine super liebe Servicekraft die ihr eine Tüte mit Eiswürfeln gebracht hat. Sowas haben wir wirklich noch nie erlebt. Normalerweise wird man eher angefeindet weil das Kind laut ist. Aber nicht hier! Wir haben uns als Familie super willkommen und wohl gefühlt und das Essen war Mega. Alles in allem ein perfektes Erlebnis im Gasthasthaus am Lohwald. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder mal! Vielen lieben Dank!

Uns hat es ganz gut gefallen. Das Essen war lecker, obwohl wir uns bei einem Sieger von Mein Lokal dein Lokal eine etwas größere Auswahl an Speisen gewünscht hätten. Der Service war sehr nett.

Wir waren schon zweimal während der südafrikanischen Food Weeks hier essen. Das Essen war sehr authentisch und unglaublich lecker! Das Personal ist außerdem super freundlich. Wir kommen bald wieder :)

In gemütlicher Atmosphäre, einem geschmackvoll eingerichtetem Lokal wird bodenständige Küche auf hohem Niveau serviert. Sehr netter und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Alles in allem lädt das Lokal zum wiederkommen ein.

Wow! Wir waren auf der Durchreise und sind eher zufällig über Google auf diesen Gasthof gestoßen – und haben es absolut nicht bereut. Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich, so etwas erlebt man heutzutage wirklich selten. Das Essen kam schnell und war einfach ein Traum. Würden wir näher wohnen, wären wir definitiv öfter hier. Absolute Empfehlung für alle, die gute bayerische bzw. bodenständige und bürgerliche Küche schätzen!

The food was excellent. Everything was beautifully presented, and the staff was very friendly. The plum and poppy seed dumpling hash is highly recommended. I've never had such a delicious dessert.

The price-performance ratio is completely out of this world. I was there for a painting class. I wanted to take home a Cordon Bleu without anything else and had to pay full price, €20.50...no goodwill. That's unacceptable to me! I've never experienced anything like that before.

A super cute inn with a small, well-chosen menu of Bavarian home-style cooking. The owner is very accommodating and humorous. My request for a mixed side dish was easily and friendly accommodated. The food was also delicious. We'd love to come back, thank you!

A truly successful visit! The Gasthaus am Lohwald impresses with its charming ambiance and excellent, almost perfect cuisine. The beer garden is a real eye-catcher and invites you to linger. You can see that a lot of love has been put into the details – the beautifully overgrown corners create a cozy and inviting atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The staff is consistently very friendly and approachable, which makes the stay even more pleasant. The only minor criticism: they could be a bit more attentive when reordering drinks. We had to actively ask here and there instead of the waiter checking on their own. But this is really just a minor quibble and hardly detracts from the otherwise very positive impression. Moving on to the food, it was a highlight in many ways. The beef broth with liver dumplings (or liver spaetzle) was simply fantastic – intensely flavorful and just the right thing as a starter. The main course, the veal liver, was also a culinary delight. The taste was absolutely top-notch and the quality was excellent. For my personal taste, it was a bit overcooked, as I prefer it pink. Nevertheless, it was still nice and juicy and by no means dry. A quick note for the kitchen: perhaps ask about the doneness next time? ​All in all, a highly recommended restaurant that impresses with its ambiance, the friendliness of the staff, and, above all, the excellent cuisine. It's just missing a few small details to achieve a perfect score. We'd be happy to come back!

Hi everyone, we had a meal there in September. The menu was very clear with just a few standard dishes. They also served African cuisine. All we could say was that it was delicious. Fresh and regional. What more could you want? It goes without saying that you have to pay more for it. Unfortunately, our soup had almost no liver spaetzle in it. Which can happen and wasn't really worth mentioning. However, we were rewarded with free African meat rolls afterwards. Many thanks for this spontaneous gesture. Yes, folks, that's how hospitality works. Not just taking note of things but reacting to them immediately. All in all, thank you to the kitchen, service and hosts. Go there for a meal. The food tastes great and you're in good hands. The portions are just right. With that in mind, have fun there.

So, we went there with our child, and everyone was super nice. The food was delicious 😋 Especially the desserts... Our 4-year-old daughter was also absolutely thrilled. Highly recommended.

The food was very good, but the manager, in my opinion, was very rude and seemed annoyed. We were there with children, and she was probably annoyed by the children's trays. Although it wasn't overly loud. That spoiled the good food for me, too. It's a shame, but never again.

We sat in the beer garden yesterday and were very impressed by the pleasant atmosphere. The menu was creative and harmonious. We had the roast beef with onions and the veal liver – both dishes were of high quality and tasted excellent. The service was also friendly; we felt welcome. My conclusion: We will definitely be back, and I'm already looking forward to it. Many thanks to the Lohwald team!

Last night, the three of us went to Lohwald. Both the meat dishes (cordon bleu and veal liver) and the vegetarian summer rösti were excellent. The price, quality, and feel-good factor are just right here.

The veal liver was already sold out by lunchtime. We ordered roast pork as an alternative. Unfortunately, it wasn't good. It was very fatty, and the crust tasted rancid. There was no crust to be seen. Based on the reviews, our expectations were higher.

We wanted to give it another try, so after a long absence (and an unpleasant experience at the end of the coronavirus pandemic), we spontaneously visited here again on a Sunday evening. And lo and behold, it works: Comfortable outdoor seating, prompt and attentive service, and, above all, delicious food with generous portions! Wonderful, and thanks to the team! We'll be back!

We attended my daughter's company dinner at the Lohwald Inn and were absolutely thrilled! The quality of the food was simply outstanding – everything freshly prepared, incredibly delicious, and lovingly presented. We especially want to highlight the owner's fantastic service: super friendly, attentive, and with a lot of heart. You can immediately tell that the cooking and work here is done with passion. A place you'll gladly return to. Highly recommended!

I only had drinks at a very full event and can therefore only say something about the appearance of the food, but it looked good. Service went very well despite the extremely large number of visitors. Respect!

Highly recommended! Only the dessert, apple cake, was good, but poor: only 2 slices of apple and one of them was very small. Nevertheless, I would like to come back!

If there were a hundred stars to give, I would. You don't know what's better, the delicious food or the friendly staff. So hats off is all I say!!!! Anyone who has something to complain about here really doesn't have any other problems.

As a group we had the opportunity to spend a fun “ArtNight.com” evening in the next room. Despite being busy, the friendly and open-minded service looked after us well throughout the evening, although apart from drinks and (extremely tasty) fries, we weren't expected to make much sales. Reason enough to want to come back, the satisfied-looking guests in the main room count as a recommendation.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Gasthaus am Lohwald is awesome! As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're with good friends - the mix of rustic inn and modern details just fits. And in summer? The beer garden under the old trees is unbeatable. It's nice to sit there for a while, especially under the pretty vine arbor. The food? Simply delicious! The onion roast with Kässpatzen was a hit. You can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on fresh and regional ingredients here. The service was top: super nice, relaxed and still totally professional. No matter how crowded it was, the atmosphere was relaxed and our special requests were easily fulfilled. In short: everything is right here. Food, ambience, service – I am thrilled and will definitely come back!

Service tries to disguise the mediocrity of the ambience and the cuisine. This was my third time eating in the Lohwaldstuben. Mediocre duck for Christmas. Poorly warmed up and loveless sauce. Venison goulash as well. The cheese spaetzle was underground. Apart from cooking cream and a little white paint, there was nothing that would have added any flavor to the watery, mushy spaetzle. Mountain cheese? None! The other good reviews of the Käsespätzle are either fakes, or a real chef was working that day.

Sehr leckeres Essen, man schmeckt, dass alles frisch gekocht wird, und das ist seinen Preis wert. Und das Personal ist einfach klasse. So wünscht man sich das als Gast. Seit 8 Jahren gerne immer wieder.

Käsespätzle waren die schlechteste was ich gegessen habe. Sehr wenig Käse das es nur Spätzle waren mit Käse Geschmack. So das war’s geh nicht mehr hin.

Wir waren bereits öfters hier und es gab nie etwas zu meckern. Es schmeckt einfach super. Alles selbst gekocht und das schmeckt man auch. Die Kässpatzen einfach spitzemäßig!!! Das Personal auch immer sehr freundlich.
