We were here for a birthday party. Far too few staff! The service person tried very hard, but there were around 30 of us and he was hopelessly overwhelmed. In my opinion, food is only of restaurant level. Modern cuisine is different.

We stayed at the Landgasthof Sonne for a weekend and it was very pleasant and relaxing. The rooms (comfort rooms) were fine, not modern but completely adequately furnished. We also enjoyed dinner in the country inn's restaurant on both days. It tasted very good and was also very good value for money. By the way, the boss here still cooks himself. He sits with us every now and then in the evening and it was a pleasant conversation. The breakfast is also very good and plentiful - there's nothing wrong with that. Special praise goes to the owners. These are active for a long time in the evening during the evening service and then are up again in the morning for breakfast. That's certainly not easy, but they were always friendly and accommodating during our stay. Since we were there with our dog, the rural location was also a reason for booking. That was perfect - get out of the hotel and into nature. We'll definitely come back.

Bringing a cake for my daughter's birthday wasn't a problem at first, but the owner then changed her mind and charged a price of €3.50 for 4 out of 6 people because she brought 6 plates and forks. Actually, you should have gotten up and left at that moment, it was an impudence (after payment had already been made and a generous tip!) to ask for another €14. An absolute NO GO

After our visit to Wilhelma, my family and I were hungry. We used Goggle Maps to look for a restaurant with German cuisine and were amazed at how difficult it is here in Stuttgart despite the large selection of restaurants. Long story short. Wirtshaus zur alten Schmiede sounded good and it was. Very friendly service, reasonable waiting time and, on top of that, delicious food. We had schnitzel 3 times. Rustic and very, very tasty. We celebrated our son's baptism in the Christians restaurant in Neckargemünd and were completely thrilled! From the first moment we were impressed by the atmospheric ambience with the great view of the Neckar, which created a wonderful atmosphere for our celebration. The food was simply excellent – ​​fresh, tasteful and lovingly prepared. Every course was a pleasure, and all of our guests were thoroughly impressed. Particularly noteworthy is the attentive and friendly service: the Heß family team was always present without being intrusive and implemented all of our wishes perfectly.
