The food is excellent, the spaetzle is incredibly good, and the venison meatballs are highly recommended. The vegetarian pumpkin gnocchi are also delicious. And a chat with the hosts is always a pleasure.

The Gaststätte zur Sonne offers excellent food at reasonable prices. Tip: Take the time to explore the landscape surrounding the inn. I recently returned after a long absence and found that I'm still impressed by the restaurant and the food.

What to say when you feel you are eating at home? Service is very friendly (they accepted us despite a last minute réservation). Food is absolutely generous, but more importantly it’s also delicious. The schnitzel is the signature dish and comes with the salad buffet on top of the French fries. If you start with the wurst salad Strassburger art, you have to make sure that you have enough space in your stomach! And if you walked 40k to get there, try the Nuss Genuss ice cream with caramelized nuts!

I received a very friendly welcome, even though I arrived late and the kitchen was about to close. I was given food and drinks right away. The lady at the reception is very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The waitresses are quick, friendly, and have a good overview. I felt very comfortable and will be back.

The only thing missing is a tiled table; otherwise, everything is there: smoking in the dining room, chaos, and family hustle and bustle, because here the living room is in front of the bar. Still, the service was friendly and the food came quickly. Unfortunately, I can't really put much stock in all the 5-star reviews, because the taste didn't convince us, but the huge portions were filling. In a region where you'd expect only good restaurants, this one stands out for its lack of culinary skill. If you're interested in honest criticism and improvements, I'm happy to help.

We stayed at the Landgasthof Sonne for a weekend and it was very pleasant and relaxing. The rooms (comfort rooms) were fine, not modern but completely adequately furnished. We also enjoyed dinner in the country inn's restaurant on both days. It tasted very good and was also very good value for money. By the way, the boss here still cooks himself. He sits with us every now and then in the evening and it was a pleasant conversation. The breakfast is also very good and plentiful - there's nothing wrong with that. Special praise goes to the owners. These are active for a long time in the evening during the evening service and then are up again in the morning for breakfast. That's certainly not easy, but they were always friendly and accommodating during our stay. Since we were there with our dog, the rural location was also a reason for booking. That was perfect - get out of the hotel and into nature. We'll definitely come back.

We were very satisfied with the service and the food, everything about the dishes was perfect, whether meat, side dishes and salad buffet, simply perfectly prepared, it couldn't be better. They also offer several excellent Baden wines. The very large terrace is also nice. The daisy was the second highlight after the meal.

The location is wonderfully outside, but conveniently located on a highway. Yes, it is loud at night - but there are earplugs in the rooms. If you don't want to dine outside, you will find a good selection of small and large dishes from home-style German cuisine in the restaurant. Rich breakfast buffet, dog and family friendly. Sufficient parking spaces in front of the door.

The boss still cooks himself in the sun and a lot of emphasis is placed on regional products and fresh ingredients. Even the applesauce for the children's meal is made in-house. The other dishes and the fresh salad buffet are also excellent. The service is very friendly and accommodating and you never have to wait long for your order. The large beer garden is beautiful and invites you to linger on sunny days. There is also a lot on offer for the little guests with hopping rabbits and goats in the enclosure and a beautiful playground. Definitely worth a visit.

My wife and I were there from Friday to Sunday, the hotel is very quiet, despite goats in the back garden (you couldn't hear them at night) the rooms were big enough and clean, I have to deduct 1 star because of the bathtub with shower screen There was only 1 fixed element built in as a splash guard, you have to go all the way into the back of the shower and the water still finds its way out and if you go too far behind you close the drain with your feet, so you have to open it again and again The other rooms probably have a shower, the staff was super friendly and accommodating, breakfast was there in the morning and always enough, dinner was mega portions and beautifully prepared and very tasty, we can highly recommend the hotel

I was with the Männle family for four days with my sports group. Clean, large rooms with balconies. Super great breakfast buffet, very tasty four course menu in the evening. Great service and Mr. Männle was always in the mood for a joke!!! The inn is run with love. There is no network, but there is fast and stable WiFi. We felt very comfortable all around! Many thanks again to the whole team!!!

Wir haben uns mit einer Gruppe ehemaliger Kommilitonen nach 50 Jahren für 2 Tage im Gasthof Sonne getroffen. Wir wurden bestens versorgt. Wirt und Bedienung waren sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist super und auch das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker! Der Landgasthof Sonne ist ein sehr lohnenswertes Ziel und jeder ausgegebene Euro hat seinen echten Gegenwert.

Always a pleasure to return to this friendly guesthouse. Calm and hikes on the program. And in the evening, half board is excellent (choice in the morning at breakfast between 2 starters, 3 main courses and 2 desserts).

We were there for a family reunion, everything went smoothly, the rooms were super nice and the food was very tasty, a really recommendable country inn as you would imagine in the Black Forest

We had a few lovely days at the Landgasthof Sonne during our Black Forest tour. After a rainy journey, our motorcycles were left dry in the large barn while we moved into our beautifully modernized rooms. The booked biker offer included a rich breakfast buffet and a choice of four great dishes for dinner - each with soup, salad buffet and dessert! There was something great for everyone. Whether the High Black Forest, the Swabian Alb or the Danube Valley, everything was easy to reach and at the end a cool drink was waiting for us on the spacious sun terrace. Many thanks to the friendly and attentive hosts - we would love to come back!

Stopped here for several days on a motorcycle tour, stayed in the inn, had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Everything to my complete satisfaction. Visiting you made me really happy. Beautiful surroundings (great for motorcycling), great encounters with super nice employees in the hotel (on the third day I ordered a latte macchiato for breakfast again, free of charge, by the way. The lovely answer was “already at its place”). delicious food and a great breakfast buffet. In addition, I was offered a garage parking space for my motorcycle without asking. And all of this at an absolutely great price. I will gladly come again!

Die Auswahl ist gut. Es gibt Fisch und Fleischgerichte, auch Vorspeisen und Desserts sowie ein Salatbuffet. Leider kennt die Wirtin (?) ältere Bedienung nicht die Garstufen. <br/>Ich bestellte medium rare, woraufhin ich gefragt wurde, was das sei. Ich sagte dann fast medium, aber noch etwas saftiger. Daraufhin entgegnete die Dame, nein, das sei etwas mehr durch als medium (was medium well und nicht medium rare ist). Man kann sich mal vertun, aber sie beharrte darauf, sodass ich am Ende gezwungenermaßen English bestellen musste, was fast roh ist. Ich mag es zwar etwas roter, aber nicht, wenn es sehr schnell kalt wird und sehr stark suppt, wie das bei English der Fall ist. Außerdem ist bei English im Gegensatz zu Medium Rare nur ein Hauch von Kruste und damit auch weniger Röstaroma vorhanden. Dennoch hat der Koch seinen Job wie immer gut erfüllt, da ihm English mitgeteilt wurde. Die Pommes waren schön dünn, warm und knusprig. Die Portion war groß, am Fleisch wurde keineswegs gegeizt. Auch die hausgemachten Spätzle sind sehe zu empfehlen. Die Preise sind fair. Wir kommen vielleicht wieder. Schön wäre es wenn die Wirtin/ältere Bedienung einen Blick auf diese Garstufenübersicht wirft, um zukünftig Missverständnisse mit weiteren Fleischliebhabern zu vermeiden

Ein schönes und modernes Hotel. Die Zimmer sind groß und die Lage direkt im Wald ist super. Eine gute Anbindung mit dem Auto. Beim Einchecken wurden wir gefragt, ob wir Frühstück wollen. Ich hatte daraufhin gefragt, ob es nicht in der Buchung enthalten war, das wurde bejaht. Beim Auschecken wurde uns dann Frühstück extra berechnet. Ich denke, dass es nur eine ungünstige Kommunikation war. Das Frühstück selber war groß und gut und der Preis mit 5€ p.P. völlig in Ordnung. Deshalb wollte ich mich nicht beschweren. Dennoch sollte hierauf in Zukunft etwas geachtet werden, dann gibt es auch 5 Sterne.

Heel mooi en schoon. Inclusief ontbijt. Ontbijt was goed. Eigenaar woont een paar huizen verder. Inchecken kan tot laat in de avond dus ideaal als je met auto komt na een lange rit want file en wegwerkzaamheden kunnen je reis aanzienlijk vertragen zodat je reis langer duurt. Ein wunderbares Familien geführtes Hotel mit sehr schmackhafter Gastronomie und riesigen Frühstück Buffet. Sehr sauber und gemütlich und Das alles zu sehr fairen Preis(en). Familien- und Kinderfreundlich sowieso und noch dazu Motorradfreundlich, da man die Maschine(n) in eine von 3 Garagen unterstellen darf (natürlich sollte man möglichst kompakt und ohne Koffer parken, damit alle/ viele Platz finden).

Dit hotel voor 1 overnachting geboekt. Prima en een degelijk hotel. Parkeergarage voor de motor. Eenvoudige menukaart vwb. diner. Goed verzorgd en lekker eten. Fijne slaapkamer. Goede bedden. Fijne douche/badkamer. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt.

Die Bewertung ist für mich im Höchstfalle bei 2 Sterne. Das Frühstück reicht ist aber keinesfalls reichhaltig und der Käse bzw. die Käseecken bekamen auch schon Ecken. Die Zimmer sind spartanisch aber sauber. Schlimm ist wirklich der hintere Eingang der zugestellt, unaufgeräumt ist und auch unsauber wirkt. Und nicht zu vergessen: es riecht extrem nach Rauch, für Nichtraucher der absolute Horror. Für mich klares Fazit : nie wieder!

Sehr saubere und schön eingerichtete Zimmer. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und alle sind immer sehr Hilfsbereit. Das Essen im Restaurant war auch super lecker. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder. Alles in allem, sehr zu empfehlen.

Rustikal, aber lecker. Auch für Gruppen geeignet, Vorbestellung/Reservierung erwünscht.

Zunächst einmal zu den positiven Sachen. Parkplatz ist relativ groß. Kann man auch einen kleinen Lkw parken. Zimmer sind normal ausgestattet. Alles relativ rustikal aber ist ja kein Problem. Das Essen ging sehr schnell. War allerdings auch der einzigste Gast. Deshalb hat mich das nicht verwundert. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und freundlich Der Wirt ist sehr nett. Leider gibt es auch einiges negatives zu berichten. Die Preise fürs Essen sind echt jenseits von gut und böse. Schnitzel für 15,50€. Versteht mich nicht falsch, Leben und Leben lassen. Aber da überlegt man schon zweimal, ob man sich was gönnt. Vom Salatbuffet hätte ich mir auch mehr erwartet. War bloß eine Auswahl an grünem Salat angerichtet. Aber der absolute Supergau war, das Familie oder Freunde der Wirtsfamilie in dem Essbereich eine Zigarette nach der anderen geraucht haben. Dieses Verhalten gegenüber Gästen ist schon fast unverschämt Leider steht vor meinem Zimmer auch noch ein Getränkeautomat, der sehr laut brummt. Absolut störend. Fürs nächste mal werd ich mir etwas zum Essen mitnehmen und die Gaststube meiden. Falls es zu einem nächsten Mal kommen wird. Diese Bewertung ist meine eigene Meinung und entstand ohne Einfluss der Wirtsfamilie

Hotel / pensjonat jakich wiele w okolicy. Bardzo miła i pomocna obsługa. Angielski na minimalnym poziomie ale starają się żeby wszystko było jasne :) Pokoje czyste i przestronne. Wifi działa bardzo dobrze, ale zasięgu telefonicznego brak. Śniadanie tradycyjne hotelowe. Restauracja też trzyma poziom.

Gastfreundlich gute Küche sauberes Zimmer... Matratze könnte erneuert werden. Im großem und ganzem, übernachten kann man dort.

Sehr nette Location mit super lieben Menschen. Zimmer sind sauber und schön eingerichtet. Essen ist lecker und vielseitig. Für jeden was dabei. Ausreichende Gemüse Mengen, wobei das nie genug sein kann. WLAN wie hier mehrfach geschrieben hat noch etwas Luft nach oben ;)

Un allotjament fantàstic per passar uns dies a la Selva Negra. Està aprop dels boscos, cosa que fa que sigui un lloc idíl·lic. Té molt aparcament gratuït. El menjar servit és boníssim, l'esmorzar molt complert. Les habitacions són grans, espaioses i molt còmodes. El bany està molt bé també. Els propietaris molt amables. Us aconsellem molt hospedar-se en aquest allotjament.
