St. Martin's goose is absolutely recommended, unfortunately the red cabbage wasn't to my taste... the staff was competent, friendly and funny, we felt very comfortable. St. Martin's Goose 1 year later: The goose was excellent as expected, the remaining side dishes were delicious, the sauce was perfect AND the red cabbage was simply incredibly tasty!!! Not the stuff you're used to in a jar, but rather homemade with a wonderfully wintery taste of Christmas spices. This time I found the entire dish absolutely delicious. The mulled wine stand, which took place in front of the restaurant in a beautiful Christmas setting, was also nice. There was both mulled wine and delicious cocktails here, which seemed more than appropriate for the volatile times. As a guest you feel very welcome and are really pampered. According to my companions, I also recommend the tomato soup, which I didn't eat myself, and also the various desserts. I can absolutely recommend the warm chocolate cake on wild berries with vanilla ice cream. The hot chocolate that flows out after the first tap with a fork, paired with the wild berries and some vanilla ice cream on the spoon... 😋 A perfect end to a culinary evening.

The outdoor area in the summer was really very pleasant and the service was quick, we ate there at any time of the year and were always very satisfied. All the dishes pleased us with their great quality, and the sauces were particularly noteworthy several times... some as a delicious reduction, which made us want more bread (nothing extra). Staff mostly friendly and professional... there was one small exception when a female waitress took a small (justified) criticism very angrily and reacted very rudely. Sorry but the guest is ALWAYS right even if he was wrong, which wasn't the case!

I was in the restaurant a few days ago and had reserved goose breast in advance. When I was served it, I and my companion looked at the plate a little surprised. The goose breast was quite small and fried very dark. Plus 2 small dumplings, a little red cabbage, 1/2 a pear filled with cranberries and a few chestnuts. My first thought was: "A man with a good hunger will not be satisfied with this." I finished my plate - I wasn't really full either - but I was disappointed. The goose breast was dry and seasonless and the portion size was too small to fill you up. To be fair, I have to mention that I don't know whether you can order dumplings or red cabbage again. Since I was upset about the goose breast, I didn't want to eat any more. For a price of €29.90 I really expected something different. At the next table, 3 guests after me also received goose breast and they looked completely different than on my plate. The goose breast was of a size that would definitely fill you up. It wasn't fried that dark but had a beautiful brown color. The side dishes also looked like more. I wanted to clarify this with the chef and asked the waitress to let him know. He came to our table in a black and white chef's suit with a large chef's hat and I explained my request to him. Unfortunately he was not at all open to friendly criticism and left the table in annoyance towards the kitchen. Until now, I was of the opinion that guests could also say if they noticed something, either positive or negative. This is the only way the innkeeper can react - which is apparently not desired in the Weingärtner restaurant, which I find very unfortunate. All in all, my need for goose breast at the Weingärtner restaurant is covered for the coming time.

We were there for a goose dinner. The goose and side dishes were good. The dry Dornfelder is pleasingly good. The service was very good. Attentive, friendly and quick. It was a bit tight, but okay.

Food is quite good… BUT: It can happen that you have to uninvite a few people to a party because the host wants to accommodate 4 more people in the party room. The ambience could be nice if you weren't seated so tightly that you couldn't breathe. Result: We are now celebrating in another restaurant!

We've just been turned away at 8:45 p.m. the kitchen is usually still open. The chef doesn't want to cook anything anymore. I'd like to know what the boss has to say about it. I'll never come here again. Bad, worse, worst, crazy stuff like that

Rustically furnished but with great charm. Food was very tasty and wine from the regional winery, although a glass (€6.90) was as expensive as a bottle from the dealer (€6.90).

Lange, lange waren wir nicht mehr im "Weingärtner", den wir schon unter verschiedenen Pächtern kennengelernt hatten. Und dann stolperte ich über die Saisonkarte mit den Muschelgerichten, rief spontan an - und 15 Minuten später saßen wir in einem dann bis auf den letzten Platz besetzten Lokal... Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam, Wein und Wasser kamen rasch, und auch auf die Vorspeisen (Feldsalat und Bruschetta) mussten wir nicht lange warten. Die Muscheln in Weißwein und meine Spaghetti mit Muscheln in Tomatensauce waren einfach nur lecker - gut gewürzt und angesichts der Vorspeisen fast zu üppig. Nach zwei Espressi verließen wir den "Weingärtner" satt und zufrieden. Spätestens zum Gansessen möchten wir wiederkommen...

Had pepperoni as a starter, boiled cheese schnitzel and Bavarian schnitzel with fried potatoes and sorbet as dessert. Everything was very tasty and plentiful. Next time I would use garlic butter/quark instead of hollandaise with the pepperoni. But it's a matter of taste. The house lemonade is also recommended. Price/performance definitely deserves 5 stars. The atmosphere inside and outside is very nice. I'll definitely come back more often now.

It was our first time here and we didn't have a table reserved. We were lucky and got a table. Very nice outdoor area that invites you to linger on warm summer nights. However, we sat inside because it was a little too cool for us. This restaurant is a home-style German restaurant. What I immediately noticed was the friendliness and attentiveness of the friendly service staff. I chose the Bavarian schnitzel and wanted it with turkey instead of pork. The nice service staff asked in the kitchen and it was no problem at all. What can I say? It really tasted very, very good! The schnitzel was crispy and the fried potatoes were delicious with bacon and onions. And the horseradish sauce was really delicious. My companion had a schnitzel with chanterelles and bread dumplings. Chanterelles are really very well seasoned and very tasty. You could really taste the herbs. If you want to eat a good home-style meal, you're in really good hands. The portions are really big and sufficient. The plates that went to other tables were also very generous. The service staff and the chef asked several times whether everything was okay. At this point, many thanks to the chef Michael, who really did a great job. Kudos also to the nice service staff, who unfortunately neglected to ask for their names. Absolute recommendation from me!

Food was great and worth the money. Unfortunately, the boss seemed a bit listless and really wanted to give us a table outside near the door and not completely in the shade. But the other lady was even friendlier.

I ordered rump steak with chanterelles and dumplings from the seasonal menu. The rump steak was of excellent quality and medium rare. I am very critical when it comes to chanterelles because the quality often leaves something to be desired. Different here, very fresh, excellent quality

Very good restaurant in Seckenheim with excellent service. The cuisine is very diverse, mostly typically German, but also some with a Mediterranean touch. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant is always busy.

Yummy. Very tasty, I love the schnitzels there. No mass-produced goods. Food with quality. Very comfortable and absolutely no rush. Chill out food. Ambiance is very well maintained and clean. I was also allowed to do the taste test on others. My child loves the spaghetti, calfskin 1A and next time there will definitely be the tarte flambée, so I could have eaten more. 😀 unfortunately no photos, this time I really enjoyed the time.

The food is quite good, you can't complain much about that, but if you have reserved a table with several people, then you should know in advance whether any of them will cancel, because here it is definitely not welcome if you do not all seats occupied! You then get a nice shout-out in front of all the other guests (personally from the boss, at least that's what she told us) even though you apologize several times for the last-minute cancellations when you're already sitting in the restaurant. That's why this was my last visit to this restaurant!

We went to Weingärtner Essen again for a birthday. Due to the good weather, a table in the idyllic beer garden was automatically reserved for us. Despite a lot of activity and visibly stressed service staff, all of our wishes were met and implemented promptly. The service staff was always present at the table. All the dishes we ordered were again wonderful and we couldn't stop praising them. Another successful evening. Thank you.

We celebrated our golden wedding anniversary there. The food was great. What's not possible is that the boss is very unfriendly towards my guests, he didn't let our guests into the restaurant with their gifts at 5:45 p.m. (we don't open until 5 p.m.) even though he was standing in front of the open hotel!?! Then I actually expect that when a celebration is planned, the table will be beautifully set, what happened is that the cutlery was put on a cheap serving dish, glasses were only put on a water glass, I have never experienced anything like that, not even once He neither congratulated us nor looked after us. Impossible, never again a celebration in this restaurant.

The food (turkey breast with vegetables and salad) was very tasty and came in a timely manner. Unfortunately, the employees/customers smoke outside. Typical German cuisine.

We attended this restaurant for my birthday. The food was excellent!!! The personnel as very helpful, friendly, courteous & professional . We especially loved the atmosphere inside. I go there for the German food & beer. I am never disappointed . If you like German food, this is the place. Reservations are highly recommended, even though the patio is very also a very good experience.

Our second visit. The first time we had chanterelles with dumplings and it was a poem!!! DELICIOUS!! This time schnitzel with fried potatoes. Not bad either, but not as great as the chanterelle dish. Nice service in a rustic atmosphere. We just ate and didn't stay here.

We stopped in around 7 pm on a Wednesday as a party of 3 and were seated quickly. Since it's Spargel season, we tried several Spargel dishes and enjoyed them all. The Spargel soup was outstanding. We also had Spargel mit Pfannkuchen and hollandaise. It was hard to stop eating. The cordon blue was made perfectly. My son had the bratwurst and saumagen and said it was the best sausage he ever had. Service was efficient and friendly. Large portions, freshly made and tasty

Wir waren kürzlich zum vierten Mal im Weingärtner. Die ersten drei Mal waren wirklich super, aber dieses Mal war es zum davonlaufen. 1,5 Stunden Wartezeit, chaotischer Service, kein Essen wie man es kennt. (Vertrocknete Bratwurst, schwarz verbrannte Zwiebeln, trockenes Cordon Bleu. Essen kam auch nicht zusammen. Als man das der Bedienung rückmeldete kam nur ein Schulterzucken und ob man ein Kaffee oder Schnaps aufs Haus möchte. Nein - bei diesen Preisen erwarte ich immer gleichbleibende Qualität und kein Schnaps aufs Haus.

Wer sich eine Auszeit gönnen möchte und in einer umgebauten Tabakscheune gut bürgerlich speisen möchte, findet im Restaurant Weingärtner den richtigen Ort. In der kalten Jahreszeit ist eine Reservierung von Vorteil.

Ich verbrachte einen wunderschönen Abend im Restaurant Weingärtner. Der Biergarten war an diesem frühen Sonntag Abend bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllt. Wir waren überrascht, dass der Kellner trotzdessen den Überblick behalten konnte und uns nur ein paar Minuten nach unserer Ankunft freundlich begrüßte. Die Speisekarte ist abwechslungsreich, aber dennoch übersichtlich mit einer klaren Linie. Die erste Seite ist eine saisonal wechselnde Auswahl an Speisen mit Klassikern wie Rindfleischsalat oder "Handkäs". Ich endschied mich allerdings für den Wildkräuersalat mit gratiniertem Ziegenkäse und gerösteten Pinienkerne. Dazu trank ich den Rose "Sommertraum", den mir der Kellner dazu empfahl. Wir kommen gerne wieder..😊

Tolles Ambiente im Herzen von Seckenheim. Ein wirklich gelungenes Konzept. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt ist das Auftreten der Bedienung. Als Stammgast top, als Fremder eher Flop. Das Essen ist sehr großzügig bemessen, die Qualität sehr gut. In meinen Augen haben noch Salz und Pfeffer gefehlt. Das ist aber Geschmackssache. Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis stimmt ist aber im höheren Niveau anzusiedeln. Das Restaurant kann man unbedingt empfehlen. Reservierung mehr als sinnvoll.

Wir waren heute Abend in einer großen Gruppe zum Martinsgansessen hier. Das Essen war gut, die Bedienung schnell und sehr freundlich. Wir hatten für das Essen, vorab bei der Reservierung, einen Preis vereinbart. Leider konnte sich der Gastwirt bei der Abrechnung heute Abend aber nicht mehr daran erinnern und bestand auf zusätzlichen 90 CENT pro Person..... Bei einem Umsatz von mehreren hundert Euro (zum Essen wurden natürlich auch Getränke verzehrt) empfand ich das mehr als kleinlich und in keinster Weise gastfreundlich! Und im Hinblick auf eventuelle weitere mögliche Reservierungen oder gar Empfehlungen des Restaurants an Familie, Freunde und Bekannte, auch nicht gut bedacht (wir waren 20 Personen heute Abend). Aber gut... Wir haben die zusätzlichen 0,90€ pro Person bezahlt. Das nächste Essen (ob Martinsgans oder was auch immer) findet ganz sicher in einem anderen Restaurant statt!

Meiner Frau ihr Geburtsgsessen war hier die 1.Adresse, der weite Weg vom Hunsrück nach Seckenheim hat sich gelohnt und wir hatten einen schönen Abend im Kreise der Familie erlebt.Die Freundliche Bedienung hat sehr dazu beigetragen dass alles funktioniert hatte. Danke mannheimer-walter .

Beim Restaurant Weingärtner habe ich so gut gegessen wie lange nicht mehr. Der Service ist sehr nett, aber ist vielleicht etwas unterbesetzt an sonnigen Tagen. Mit dem Biergarten die vor allem am Abend vor Sonne geschützt ist hat mein ein schönes und gemütliches Plätzchen, um einen Abend zu genießen. Insgesamt top.

Bisher waren wir nur im Biergarten, bzw : Weingarten 😉. Man sitzt geschützt und schattig, zwischen alten, begrünten Mauern. Die Speisekarte ist vielfältig und auch die Getränke- und Weinkarte ist gut sortiert. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Portionen sind so, dass man satt wird. Der Service ist freundlich und flott. Eine schöne Location für ein gepflegtes Essen und schöne Stunden.

Sehr schönes und immer gut besuchtes Restaurant mit Biergarten in historischem Gebäude in der Nähe vom Neckar. (Reservierung empfehlenswert!) Tolle Speisekarte mit Saisonkarte, sehr schmackhafte Speisen mit hervorragendem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Die Betreiber sowie Servicekräfte sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir sind 2 Erwachsene + 2 Jugendlich) zum Abbendessen dort gewesen. Zum Glück hatten wir (draussen) reserviert ... es war voll. Die Bedienung kam sofort und brachte uns die Speisekarte. Das Ambiente im tollen Innenhof ist klasse! Die Bestellung wurde schnell aufgenomen und die Getränke kamen rasch! Die Spargelsuppe hat für uns alle gereicht ... also eine recht große Portion. Dann kam das Essen ... angemessene Portionen und sehr sehr gut. DIe BEdienung wirklich aufmerksam ohne aufdringlich zu sein (Mein Sohn hatte Gebrutstag und dafür gab es dann noch einen extra Nachtisch) - . Alles in allem ... WIR KOMMEN GERNE WIEDER! Und wir können das Weingärtner wirklich empfehlen!

Top Atmosphere im alten Fachwerkhaus. Ein sehr gelungenes Cordonbleu und Tomatensuppe hatten wir. Die Portionen sind sehr gut für das Geld und die Qualität hat uns total überzeugt. Einzig der Charmant Raue Ton mag nicht jeden gefallen 😉 Nachschlag: Wir haben das Restaurant bereits mehrmals besucht und sind zuletzt doch mit einer zu sehr rustikalen Art behandelt wurden, so das ich das Restaurant leider Hochsensiblen Menschen nicht mehr empfehlen kann. Hier würde ich mir als Gast wünschen das man sich Zeit nimmt und dem Gast zuhört. Streitigkeiten innerhalb des Bedienungspersonals im Gastraum auszutragen. Das wirkt sehr unprofessionell. Für die Gäste, die allergisch oder empfindlich auf Wespen sind, ist aktuell nicht zu empfehlen, draußen zu sitzen. Man probiert zwar mit kleinen Tischventilatoren die Wespen fern zu halten aber das gelingt nur bedingt. Aber drin findet man sicher einen Platz 👍🏻
