Didn't eat in the hotel but in the restaurant. The decor is simple but the food is great and served personally by the boss! Cordon bleu is still hand made with raclette cheese so delicious, vegetables are al dente.

Approximately 10 minutes from Lake Titisee, it is worth taking a detour for an excellent dinner with German cuisine in the Black Forest ambience. Very nice service. The food was incredibly tasty across the board and worth every euro. We stopped here on the way back from Feldberg. A stop here is really recommended!!! Wednesdays are a day of rest.

Review applies only to the restaurant: Great food! We had the baked Jägerschnitzel and as a starter the soup of the day (Flädlesuppe) and a seasonal soup (chanterelle soup). The pancakes were homemade with herbs and the broth was homemade - absolutely delicious! The chanterelle cream soup made from fresh mushrooms was also a taste explosion - lovingly prepared with a dollop of cream and cornflowers. The schnitzel was juicy (which shows that it was made by a knowledgeable chef because it was baked under a salamander at the end). The cheese wasn't run of the mill either, nice and spicy and super tasty. The side salad (ordered with it) was also exceptional, with cress and lentils. We absolutely loved this meal! Plus the super friendly service. It was a wonderful evening with great food! We'd love to come back!

We were there as a group of 30 people, aged 5 to 73, from Friday to Sunday and we were all very satisfied. We particularly liked the extremely relaxed atmosphere that came from the landlord and his family. The food was delicious and there was no reason to complain. We would like to come again.

Didn't get any food. On August 20th Was there around 7 p.m. There are still a number of seats available in the restaurant and in the beer garden. But there was no longer any food due to a lack of staff. Recommend calling ahead and asking about staffing levels.

Today we had dinner with a group of 6 adults and 6 children, very good food and generous portions. Good value for money. We have been very nice, the waitress very attentive. Watch out for homemade cakes too! :)

The girl is very very nice. Table of 12 with 6 children. He has set the cuckoo clock on the hour for the children so they can see how it works. Lots of patience with us. The food is spectacular, it is advisable to save hunger for the desserts

Bathroom was not working properly because the shower did not drain it took around 30 minutes just to drain the water for another person to get in a shower it was not good, and the dishwasher tablets were not enough there was only 4 we needed a bit more because we did not have enough for the 4 days 5 nights.

The food is delicious and the service is very friendly. The prices are reasonable for the normal portion sizes. However, I find the price difference of only €2 for a half portion disproportionate compared to the normal portion. I understand that preparing a half portion requires the same effort as a large one, however a larger price difference or a smaller portion about 3/4 the size of the regular for the price would be appreciated.

The menu on the website is no longer up to date; the side salad, for example, now costs extra. The portion of the cordon bleu was rather "economical", there was no sauce and ketchup/mayo only on request. The portion size of the cheese spaetzle was okay. However, the fact that the half portion only makes a price difference of €2 is inappropriate.

Excellent home cooking, whether game, schnitzel, roast beef, side dishes, salad, ice cream or crème brulee - everything tasted very good with large portions. Friendly, unobtrusive and quick service. All of this on a New Year's Eve simply deserves a 5-star rating. Thanks again.

Waren im Restaurant Essen und das Essen war super. Nicht lange gewartet, Essen super lecker, Leute freundlich, kann ich nur empfehlen wenn man mal deutsch essen gehen möchte! Hotel haben wir nicht benutzt, deshalb kann ich dazu nichts sagen.

Familien essen am Sonntag, zur begrüssund hatten sie leider keine Pfifferlinge und puten fleisch da also schon mal sehr begrenzte Auswahl. Das Wiener Schnitzel wa sehr schlecht und ist auseinander gefallen. Kritik wurde garnicht angenommen. Schade

Ein sehr idyllisch gelegenes uriges Restaurant im Schwarzwald. Wir waren jetzt das zweite mal dort, uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Der Service war sehr schnell und alles wurde zu unserer Zufriedenheit erledigt. Das bestellte essen war absolut top. Die Schnitzel zart und der Salat schmackhaft. Gibt an der Stelle garnichts zu meckern. Preis Leistung sind absolut top. Wir gehen sicher wieder hin 😀

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit fabelhaftem Essen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war super, die Portionen sehr üppig und auch qualitativ war das Essen unglaublich gut. Ich hatte den Zwiebelrostbraten: Zwei große Scheiben Fleisch mit mehr als ausreichend Soße. Absolute Empfehlung!

Ich war heute da und sie hatten Betriebsferien

Toevallig kwamen wij hier langs en het zonnetje scheen zo mooi op dit leuke terras dat we besloten om er iets te drinken. Wij vroegen een droge wijn en kregen een hele lekkere Sauvignon Blanc. De kwaliteit hiervan was ongelooflijk goed. We hebben er dan maar dadelijk een tweede karafje van besteld. De dag nadien zijn we hiervoor teruggekomen. We denken dat je er ook lekker kan eten, maar je moet reserveren.

Das Essen ist wirklich lecker. Auch die Lage ist schön und man kann toll draussen sitzen. Der Service allerdings hat uns sehr enttäuscht. Es wurde nicht gefragt zwischendurch ob alles in Ordnung ist. Nachdrm das Essen auf dem Tisch war, kam einfach keine Bedienung mehr. Nachbestellen von Getränken ect war so nicht möglich.

Bestellt haben wir einen kleinen Zwiebelrostbraten (durchgebraten) und ein Rumpsteak (medium). Bekommen haben wir einen kleinen Zwiebelrostbraten (medium) und ein Rumpsteak (durchgebraten). Abgerechnet wurde aber ein großer Zwiebelrostbraten und ein Rumpsteak. Das ein großer Zwiebelrostbraten anstelle eines kleinen Zwiebelrostbraten auf der Rechnung war, haben wir leider erst auf dem Heimweg festgestellt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Het betreft een typisch Duitse zaak met idem gerechten. Prijzen zijn correct, de porties waren ruim en een vriendelijke bediening.
