Always a pleasure – Hong Kong Dim in Cologne Today I enjoyed going to Hong Kong Dim again during my lunch break. This time we had two new work colleagues with us - and their enthusiasm literally jumped from "really soup" to "that's fabulous" to "super delicious" as they ate their soup. I have been a regular customer since my first visit and we come by regularly to enjoy our soup. My favorite is the curry soup, but today I chose the beef soup (see photo). Unfortunately, Tuesdays are a day off - a shame for the colleagues who are only in the office that day. Hong Kong Dim is one of my firm recommendations for guests who visit us in Cologne. We're even happy to take a detour to eat here. I can only recommend everyone to try the soup at least once - then you'll know! This corner of Cologne has excellent Thai, Cantonese (Hong Kong cuisine) and Chinese dishes. Instead of competing, these restaurants complement each other perfectly. If one of them is too crowded, there are two other excellent alternatives in the immediate vicinity. Each shop has its own style, but all offer top-notch food. Hong Kong Dim is something very special – definitely worth a detour! In addition to soups, there are also many other delicious dishes here.

I had C12 the duck with noodles. That was the best duck I've ever eaten. Incredibly juicy and crispy. The service was also very friendly. Next time I'll order 2 straight away because one just wasn't enough.

I request 6 out of 5 stars. People give good reviews so often, but it's really appropriate here. The food is fragrant, everything is deliciously seasoned and the fact that the prices are slightly higher than at other Chinese restaurants is appropriate as soon as you have eaten the first bite - because you notice that the ingredients have not been skimped on. 0 geht leider nicht. Cocktails für 8.50 sind der totale Reinfall. Essen war so einigermassen ok aber überteuert. Ambiente ungemütlich und Kantinenlike. Bedienung unaufmerksam. Wiederkommen ausgeschlossen.

Food very good, but comparatively relatively expensive. Service and ambience was okay. Negative: it's almost a shame that you have to pay extra for rice, but what's not right is that this isn't mentioned anywhere, neither when you order nor at any other time, you only see it afterwards on the bill.

Gute Atmosphäre, Selbstbedienung, Getränke und kleine Speisen schnell zubereitet und dafür sogar schmackhaft. Aber KEIN Restaurant. Interessantes Konzept bei dem die Kosten der Getränke und des Essens zunächst auf einer Chipkarte zwischengespeichert werden und an einer zentralen Kasse beim Verlassen der Lokalität bezahlt werden.

We had a lovely evening, the quality of the menu was appropriate for the price. There were interesting greetings from the kitchen for every course. We found it nice, but not outstanding.
