Always a pleasure – Hong Kong Dim in Cologne Today I enjoyed going to Hong Kong Dim again during my lunch break. This time we had two new work colleagues with us - and their enthusiasm literally jumped from "really soup" to "that's fabulous" to "super delicious" as they ate their soup. I have been a regular customer since my first visit and we come by regularly to enjoy our soup. My favorite is the curry soup, but today I chose the beef soup (see photo). Unfortunately, Tuesdays are a day off - a shame for the colleagues who are only in the office that day. Hong Kong Dim is one of my firm recommendations for guests who visit us in Cologne. We're even happy to take a detour to eat here. I can only recommend everyone to try the soup at least once - then you'll know! This corner of Cologne has excellent Thai, Cantonese (Hong Kong cuisine) and Chinese dishes. Instead of competing, these restaurants complement each other perfectly. If one of them is too crowded, there are two other excellent alternatives in the immediate vicinity. Each shop has its own style, but all offer top-notch food. Hong Kong Dim is something very special – definitely worth a detour! In addition to soups, there are also many other delicious dishes here.

I ate maocai at Sangu and it was very delicious. The environment here is just like in China. My favorite is leeks + peanut butter + oyster sauce. It’s so delicious.

This was great. Had bami goreng and Szechuan chicken with rice. Probably the best imbiss I've ever been to in Germany. Wow

I had C12 the duck with noodles. That was the best duck I've ever eaten. Incredibly juicy and crispy. The service was also very friendly. Next time I'll order 2 straight away because one just wasn't enough.

Tuvimos fotos con el propietario que era una "tradición" se hizo para sentirse muy bienvenido y cómodo. Sin duda volveremos cuando volvamos a Colonia. Gracias por una comida encantadora.

I haven’t eaten here in more than a year, and I thought there would be many new dishes, but it turned out to be the same as the ones from more than a year ago. How can I put it, it felt like it lacked a bit of freshness. Then the food was served very slowly tonight. . . There were three dishes for two people. The second dish took 46 minutes and the last dish took 1 hour and 11 minutes to be served. The people next door who came later than us had several dishes. When I asked the waiter to order the food, the first feedback I got was not an apology, but "I don't dare to rush the chef, you have to wait." But what does the chef’s mood have to do with me? Why should I consider the chef’s mood when cooking? It’s not the first day the restaurant opens. Isn’t it common sense that there will be many people on Saturdays? I can understand, I can wait, and within half an hour is called waiting, but 71 minutes is really too much; not expressing apology is really too much. The last dish, which I had been waiting for for so long, was so salty that it felt like the chef was being pushed into the dish and was in a bad mood to retaliate against me. I lost my appetite at the end of the meal and just packed it away. It was not a pleasant dining experience anyway. But the taro chicken is delicious, recommended

Gute Atmosphäre, Selbstbedienung, Getränke und kleine Speisen schnell zubereitet und dafür sogar schmackhaft. Aber KEIN Restaurant. Interessantes Konzept bei dem die Kosten der Getränke und des Essens zunächst auf einer Chipkarte zwischengespeichert werden und an einer zentralen Kasse beim Verlassen der Lokalität bezahlt werden.

Modern, stylish restaurant in the noble Excelsior Hotel. Modern Asian cuisine at a high level at a reasonable price. Everything is elaborately and very carefully prepared and presented, very aromatic, tasty and also a visual delight. Very attentive: between the courses of our 3-course menu and at the end, small greetings from the kitchen that were not on the menu were served. The menu service was attentive and friendly, but the wine service was unfortunately not very ambitious and had some room for improvement.

The shop doesn't look very inviting from the outside, but everything here is freshly prepared and hygiene is taken into account. The food has been great for years! The owner is always friendly and open to special requests. The prices are reasonable. It's a shame that there is no longer a delivery service, but I always like to come here when I'm in the area.
