War heute da. Leider nicht so schön. Erst uns nicht beachtet und dann schnell abgefertigt. Leider Ambiente wie eine Pommessbude. Sonst war alles frisch.

Ambiente originell bis urig, auf jeden Fall liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Udon-Nudeln waren lecker. Leider wurde Deutsch nicht wirklich verstanden, was zu Verwechslungen führte.

Nicht zu vergleichen mit einem "klassischen deutschen Chinesen". Hier gibt es nicht die Nummer 48 usw. Man sucht sich in einer Kühltruhe die Zutaten aus, welche man in seinem Hot Pot haben möchte (und da gibt es auch für Deutschland seltene Zutaten wie z.B. Hühnerfüße). Wenn man seine Zutaten ausgesucht hat werden sie gewogen und es wird nach Gewicht bezahlt. Jetzt sucht man sich noch eine von fünf Brühen aus und das ganze wird dann für dich aufgekocht. Nach ein paar Minuten kannst Du Dir den heißen Pot dann abholen. Mit Korender, Knoblauch oder Sojasose kannst du noch nachwürzen und dann genießen. Sehr lecker das ganze.

Lecker Hotpot, viele Auswahlmöglichkeiten in der Essenzusammensstellung, leider sehr steriles Ambiente, nettes Personal

Ich vertrage die Schärfe von Buldak und Yeop Tteokbokki problemlos, aber nach dem extra scharfen Xiang Guo hier bekam ich vor dem Kölner Dom Magenkrämpfe. Es ist wirklich unglaublich lecker, aber die Schärfe hier ist extrem. Bestellt also lieber etwas weniger Scharfes. Ehrlich, ich finde, es lohnt sich! Es ist wie ein Buffet aufgebaut: Man sucht sich die Zutaten aus, sie werden abgewogen, und dann wählt man die Zubereitungsart und den Schärfegrad. Meine Begleitung hatte den mild-scharfen Eintopf, und der war auch sehr lecker. Er erinnerte mich an Shabu-Shabu Kalguksu.

Für meinen ersten Besuch in einem Hotpot-Restaurant hat es mir sehr gut gefallen. Die Auswahl war riesig und alle Zutaten wirkten sehr frisch. Die Suppe war lecker, für meinen Geschmack allerdings etwas zu salzig. Es wäre super, wenn die Zutaten etwas besser beschriftet wären. Bei der großen Auswahl wusste ich teilweise gar nicht genau, was ich eigentlich in meiner Bowl hatte. Das würde die Auswahl besonders für Erstbesucher deutlich einfacher machen. 😊 Das Personal war freundlich, wirkte auf mich teilweise aber etwas zurückhaltend oder leicht einschüchternd. Insgesamt war es eine tolle Erfahrung und ich komme gerne wieder. 😊

Authentisches chinesisches Essen, so wie ich es aus China kenne - Preis ist absolut in Ordnung. Essen war nach kurzer Zeit fertig. Alles top. Versteh die negativen Kommentare nicht, wenn ich gebratene Nudeln mit Ente will, geh ich nicht hier her. Sollte man schon daran merken, dass 90% der Kunden Chinesen sind. 10/10

Das essen war super lecker! Die Auswahl an Zutaten war sehr groß und frisch und die Suppe dazu war auch sehr gut gewürzt. Wir waren überrascht wie groß die Schüssel geworden ist. Es gab auch All you can drink mit Zitronenwasser, Orangensaft und Pflaumensaft. Das war alles sehr sehr lecker und ich würde auf jeden Fall mit meinem Freund wieder kommen.

Große Auswahl an den verschiedensten Gemüse-, Nudel- und Fleischarten für einen individuellen und leckeren Hot Pot, es gibt 4 Brühen zur Auswahl und eine gute Soßenmischstation sowie Reis zum Nachholen für den Rest der Brühe. Wirklich zu Empfehlen.

Authentisches Essen, schöne Atmosphäre, ich liebe es!

Ein interessantes Hotpot-Konzept, bei dem nach Gewicht abgerechnet wird. Die Zutaten und die gewünschte Brühe stellt man sich selbst zusammen und gibt anschließend alles beim Koch ab, der daraus die fertige Bowl zubereitet. Geschmacklich konnten alle Varianten, die wir probiert haben, überzeugen. Die Zutaten waren frisch und die Brühen sehr aromatisch. Besonders praktisch fanden wir die Getränke- und Reis-Flatrates: Für 1,50 € gibt es unbegrenzt Getränke und für 1 € unbegrenzt Reis. Für uns haben sich beide Optionen definitiv gelohnt. Preislich haben wir pro Bowl etwa 20–22 € bezahlt.

Sehr geiles Konzept und authentisches Essen. Faire preise sowohl für das essen als auch für die Getränke (um die 18-22€ für essen und 2€ für trinken. Klassische europäische Suppe war ungenießbar. Ekelhaft scharf. Ungenießbar. Maul komplett verbrannt.

1a mit Sternchen ,super nett, Essen fantastisch aber höllisch scharf, also Vorsicht, man kann auch mit würziger Brühe bestellen(Tomatenbrühe, drei Köstlichkeiten) oder mit wenig scharf. Ich kann sehr scharf Essen, und mittelscharf bringt mich schwer an meine Grenzen.

Das ist ein chinesisches Restaurant, das ich immer besuche, wenn ich in Köln bin. ☺️ Der Geschmack ist sogar besser als in manchen lokalen Hot-Pot-Restaurants. Die Brühe ist keine dicke, ölige Suppe, die schwer verdaulich ist, sondern eine klare Brühe, die man direkt trinken oder zum Einweichen von Reis verwenden kann, was ich persönlich sehr mag. Außerdem sind die Zutaten sehr frisch und der Preis ist angemessen. Eine Schüssel für zwei Personen kostet etwa 20 Euro. Wer etwas mehr ausgeben möchte, bekommt für rund 30 Euro eine sehr reichhaltige und sättigende Mahlzeit.

Völlig respektlos gegenüber Kunden, ich war schon in anderen Sangu. arbeiten, ich weiß nicht, ob das in Deutschland illegal ist, kurz gesagt, ich kann nicht verstehen, warum es im Vergleich zu anderen Geschäften so schlimm sein kann. Völlig respektlos gegenüber Kunden. Ich war schon in anderen Sangu Maocai-Restaurants und sie sind alle völlig unterschiedlich. Nach 20 Uhr gibt es fast nichts mehr zu essen. Einer der Mitarbeiter hatte eine besonders schlechte Einstellung; Sie schienen betrunken zu arbeiten. Ich weiß nicht, ob das in Deutschland illegal ist, aber ich kann einfach nicht verstehen, warum dieser Ort im Vergleich zu anderen Branchen so schlecht ist.

Das Essen ist wirklich unglaublich lecker. Allerdings gibt es eine Sache, die mich stört: Wenn ich mir meine Zutaten selbst zusammenstelle, nehme ich oft viel Fleisch und Inoki-Pilze. Jedes Mal werden diese am Ende einfach wieder herausgenommen. Das finde ich sehr schade, vor allem weil man dafür bezahlt.

Ich habe schon oft Nudeln oder Nudeln mit Brühe in verschiedenen Ländern gegessen, aber das Essen in diesem Restaurant hat mich wirklich begeistert. Ich war absolut hingerissen; ich habe noch nie so gute Nudeln gegessen. Es lag nicht an den Zutaten, die ich gewählt hatte, sondern an dem luxuriösen, authentischen Geschmack (meiner Meinung nach sollte asiatisches Essen so schmecken), der Würze und der genau richtigen Schärfe, obwohl wir mild bestellt hatten. Ich war mit meinen beiden Kindern dort, und auch ihnen hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Portionen sind riesig; wir haben die Hälfte unserer Gerichte mitgenommen. Es war köstlich. Die Rechnung lag zwischen 12 und 15 Euro pro Person, ich erinnere mich nicht mehr genau. Vielen Dank für das leckere Essen und die angenehme Atmosphäre.

Es schmeckte furchtbar, hatte einen übertrieben künstlichen Geschmack, und die Instantnudeln waren in Wasser eingeweicht. Nach dem Essen bekam ich Mundgeschwüre und Durchfall.

Spät am Abend war ich in diesem tollen Restaurant. Der angebotene Service war sehr gut und das Personal authentisch herzlich. Man bedient sich am Buffet und reicht das Essen dann in die Küche, wo es zubereitet wird. Es war ausgezeichnet!!! Super Location 👍

War schon oft hier essen, war immer sehr lecker.

Absolut authentisches chinesisches Hotpot-Erlebnis. Die Speisekarte ist komplett auf Chinesisch, aber mit einer kurzen Erklärung findet man sich schnell zurecht. Die Qualität und Auswahl der Zutaten sind sehr gut, und auch die Portionen sind mehr als ausreichend. Besonders beeindruckend ist die Atmosphäre – überwiegend chinesische Gäste, was das Ganze noch authentischer macht. Wer echtes chinesisches Hotpot erleben möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Klare Empfehlung.

Das Essen war altbacken; alles war durchweicht. Es kostete 30 Euro, und nachdem es gekocht war, war kaum noch etwas in meiner Schüssel. Es fehlte sogar etwas, also musste ich noch eine Schüssel Reis dazu essen! Und als ob das nicht schon genug wäre, hatte ich nach meiner Heimkehr zwei Tage lang Durchfall.

Es tut mir leid, so niedrige Bewertungen abzugeben, aber nach meinem dritten Besuch hier habe ich mir gerade meine Kreditkartenabrechnung angesehen. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist gut, das Konzept ist witzig, aber 25 € für eine sehr kleine Portion (hauptsächlich Blattgemüse und Pilze) mit praktisch keinem Eiweiß (7 oder 8 Tofuwürfel) und einer Flasche Wasser machen das Restaurant extrem teuer. Ich werde es in Zukunft meiden. Schade, denn ich übernachte oft im nahegelegenen Marriott und liebe Hot Pot.

Wer noch nicht hier Essen war, hat glaube ich den Knall noch nicht gehört. Ich glaube das ist mit eins der besten Hot Pot Läden in denen ich je war. Ich finde die Atmosphäre auch sehr nice. Hat einfach was originelles. Weiter so San Gu Restaurant - Wir werden uns Wiedersehen! 🫡

Ich war jetzt schon zweimal dort und das Essen ist wirklich super lecker! Ich würde am liebsten jeden Tag dort essen. 😊 Allerdings hatte ich bei beiden Besuchen jeweils einen kleinen Kritikpunkt: Beim ersten Mal konnte leider niemand vom Personal Deutsch, sodass man sich nur auf Englisch verständigen konnte. Für mich persönlich war das kein Problem, trotzdem finde ich es nicht ideal. Beim zweiten Mal haben wir leider die falsche Brühe bekommen. Diese war so scharf, dass man sie wirklich nicht essen konnte. Zum Glück wurde aber direkt eine schnelle Lösung gefunden und wir haben eine andere Brühe bekommen. Insgesamt trotzdem sehr empfehlenswert geschmacklich top!

Ich bin heute Abend mit dem FlixBus um 21:30 Uhr am Kölner Hauptbahnhof angekommen. Mir war kalt, ich hatte Hunger und einen empfindlichen Magen. Gleich nach der Ankunft bin ich in ein Restaurant gerannt, aber es war schon 21:40 Uhr. Das Restaurant hatte gerade angefangen zu schließen, aber zum Glück war der Besitzer so nett, mich als letzten Gast noch zum Mitnehmen zu bedienen. Ich habe sehr gut gegessen. So eine leckere, scharfe Suppe habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen, und auch die Zutaten für den Hot Pot waren von hervorragender Qualität! Wahrscheinlich der beste Hot Pot, den ich in Deutschland gegessen habe. Vielen Dank für die Hilfe!

Top Essen, Super Portionen und im tolles ein tolles Erlebnis

Unser Go-To Soul Food! Wir haben regelmäßig richtig Heißhunger auf Hot Pot/Malatang und dann wissen wir, wir müssen wieder zu San Gu. Es ist einfach gleichbleibend lecker und vom Preis her kann man auch nicht meckern, vor allem wenn man die anderen ähnlichen Läden in Köln kennt. Vor allem bekommt man Reis für einen Euro dazu. Die Brühe bei diesem Laden finde ich aber immer noch mit Abstand am besten, hier bedeutet sehr scharf auch wirklich sehr scharf! 🤤

San Gu Hot Pot Ich bin Europäer. Also jemand, dessen Körper bei echtem chinesischem Essen zuerst skeptisch schaut, dann schwitzt und am Ende trotzdem „nochmal“ sagt. Und genau deshalb komme ich seit rund zwei Jahren immer wieder hierher. Alles ist sehr lecker und überraschend authentisch. Kein angepasstes Asia-Konzept für vorsichtige Gaumen, sondern echtes China-Gefühl. Man sitzt da, löffelt seine Suppe und fragt sich kurz, ob draußen wirklich noch Köln ist oder ob man aus Versehen einen Kurzurlaub eingelegt hat. Die Preise sind angenehm realistisch. Man wird satt, glücklich und muss danach nicht ernsthaft über einen Kredit nachdenken. Ein seltenes Phänomen. Kleine, aber sehr ernst gemeinte Warnung: der klassische Hot-Pot-Suppe mit Szechuanpfeffer. Das ist keine Suppe. Das ist ein Charaktertest. Nicht jeder kommt da ohne Tränen durch. Manche nicht einmal mit Würde. ;) Fazit: klare Empfehlung.

Mein Lieblingsgericht in Deutschland. Ich vermisse es aus den Niederlanden. Ich hatte Malaban bestellt, aber es war kein Reis mehr da. Schade! 😭

Das Beste Restaurant seit langem. Man kann sich alles für seine Suppe selber zusammenstellen. Dabei hat man die Wahl zwischen frischem Gemüse, Fleisch und Fisch und Tofu. Mit 3 € pro 100 Gramm ist es auch normalerweise nicht so teuer. Die Suppen sind unfassbar lecker und man kann für 1€ unendlich Reis essen. Als Tourist würde ich jedoch nur die leicht scharfe Soße nehmen, denn die hat es schon in sich. Falls alles besetzt ist, wartet ruhig ein paar Minuten, es lohnt sich.

Wer hier über die Türschwelle tritt, der reist von Europa nach Asien. Authentische Küche, authentisches Ambiente - einfach super!

Heute waren wir im San Gu Hotpot, nur zwei Gehminuten vom Marriott Hotel in Köln entfernt. Ich bin total begeistert! Die Auswahl war riesig, alles war super sauber und es gab unzählige Brühen in verschiedenen Schärfegraden. Reis so viel man essen kann für 1 € und der Hotpot kostet 2,99 € pro 100 g. Diese riesige Schüssel mit Fleisch, Fisch und Reis hat nur 15,87 € gekostet. Man bekommt einen Pager und wird benachrichtigt, sobald das Essen fertig ist! Das ging super schnell, wir mussten gar nicht warten. Die Auswahl an Dipsaucen war riesig. Es war so lecker, dass ich morgen gleich wieder hingehe!

This is the first time I went to a hot pot place and I have to say I fell in love with it. You get a small basket and you put inside the ingredients you want to put in your dish. Then, you give it to the cashier, select the type of soup you want as a base and after 5-10 minutes, voilà! You have your own recipe cooked and served by professionals! I was really impressed by the quality and variety of the ingredients they had (a little small variety of meat but great otherwise, possibly it was because of the late time). I went with a prawn and muscle soup with boc Choi, tofu, a slice of lotus and parsley, with the base soup D (little spice) and two portions of glass noodles. The soup was amazing and huge. Next time I will just choose another type of noodles (they were not the right selection for this type of soup imo) and a single portion because I couldn't finish my dish, despite being hungry! And I paid around 20 euro for this massive dish with high quality ingredients! Also, the buffet is really clean, the atmosphere is really simple and authentic, the people really kind and gentle (they allowed to finish my soup even though it was closing time), and the service fast. Oh, and I should also mention the really nice calming music! Perfect for a restaurant so close to the station!! What a great find, I will be going back there soon! PS. The only asterisk is they did not chop the parsley, maybe I should have asked for it specifically?

The food is great, the staff is incredibly friendly. And what I find most appealing is that 90% of the guests are of Asian descent. It's the perfect place for someone who wants to take a little "trip to Asia." 😉

A very authentic restaurant with a wide selection—there's something for everyone. The prices are also totally reasonable; we paid €40 for two people (large portions) with drinks and rice. We'll definitely be back! 🤤

Ate there with five friends. A lot of Asian-style guests. The buffet presentation certainly wasn't that impressive, but the food was very tasty. You definitely shouldn't overdo the spice (if you're not used to it). The ambiance could be more elegant. My clothes (including my jacket) had to be washed afterward because everything smelled of food.

Very close to train station, the price is affordable, at least cheaper than the other 2 that I’ve went to during my Germany’s trip. The staff is very friendly and the must try is “San Xian” soup (you can ask to add some chili oil to add some spice), or red soup for spicy (I ask for medium, it’s not as spicy as China one), come with free flow rice. The style quite authentic! I refer as quite is because the variety of dishes they offered not as much as other Asia country. The restaurant is big and comfortable.

It's a place I always return to when I'm in the city. It satisfies my craving for a really spicy malatang, with that addictive mix of spices and flavors. They have everything: tripe, lamb, shrimp, tofu, and a ton of Asian vegetables. If you like spicy food and Asian food, this is an ideal place to enjoy leisurely, with a good beer and a good atmosphere.

I was quite satisfied with my lunch. A fantastic selection, very fresh ingredients, the sesame sauce was excellent, and the spicy soup was also very tasty. Really good value for money.

I never expected to feel so taken care of by fellow Chinese people on my first visit to Cologne!!! We arrived in Cologne at 10:55 PM, having already taken a five-hour train ride. We were craving some hot Chinese food, so we called and ordered this maocai restaurant, planning to pick it up at 10 PM. Unfortunately, the train was delayed! We didn't arrive until 10:40 PM! The owner waited for us for over 40 minutes, even though we were supposed to get off work at 10 PM. As soon as we got off the train, we rushed to the restaurant and finally got our still-warm maocai. 🥰 I was so happy! Honestly, eating Chinese food is still the most enjoyable thing about living in a foreign country. The owner didn't mind us being late and even let us eat! And it tasted really good! The portions were generous! So fragrant! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Cologne, hahaha😍

It's so delicious! It makes me feel like I'm back home. It's right next to Cologne's main train station, so easy to find. I recommend ordering the quail eggs. For 13 euros, you can eat until you're full.

Unusual concept, yes. Good broth... unfortunately, not. The soup lacked any depth and had too much Szechuan pepper. Otherwise, the ingredients were fresh and everything was clean.

😡😡😡 I just stood up to get some sauce, and it took less than ten seconds. When I came back, my spicy hot pot and beer had been taken away! There was still a lot of food and a full glass of beer on the table, and I didn't leave for long. I don't understand why they handled it this way. What's even more annoying is that the staff didn't apologize formally or offer any compensation. I have always liked this restaurant and often come here when I am on business trips, but this experience was so disappointing that I don't think I will come again.
