Unique and very tasty Sudanese food (my first time having it)! The owner is so so friendly and you can tell he really prides himself with the food he prepares for you. Even before ordering, he checked with me about my allergies and spice tolerance, before letting me try his homemade sauces and dips (his mango vegetable sauce was AMAZING - so fresh and it complemented the flavours of the salad well)! Very generous portions of meat and falafel, which were cooked fresh and really tasty too (though the peanut sauce was very rich, and I couldn’t finish it).
Ambiance was wonderful, with 80s-90s music playing (which is very much up my alley). It took me a while to find the store at first, as it doesn’t have a huge name sign, but it’s definitely worth the time to come here.
On a separate note, the restaurant does accept credit card payment, and the restrooms were very well maintained (little bit of a squeeze to get there).
Overall, highly recommend this place - for the great food, and extremely friendly owner! I will be back when I’m back in Berlin!
One of the best restaurants in Berlin. A super friendly team and very, very good food. Whether it's scampi (great) or steak, everything is delicious, and the homemade lemonade is amazing.
Very tasty kebab. Super friendly sellers. Good size. The cheese sauce is also nice. They place a high value on cleanliness, which is always very important to me. I'll be back 😉
A fantastic experience. From the food to the staff, it was simply wonderful. I've eaten at several Michelin-starred restaurants before, and I never thought that the one at the Top would blow me away again. We were all thrilled by the art and the personal touch. I can now completely understand the hype – it's completely justified. Thank you for this wonderful evening.
Very good food at a very good price! Quick pickup in 25 minutes, and the pizzas were fresh and delicious. They even threw in a bowl of tiramisu on the house. The calzone is especially recommended. I'd definitely go back!
This was our first time here and we received a very warm welcome. Göki offered us a selection of dishes, which made us feel at home right away and made the decision easy. We had a large selection of veggie tapas, along with roasted salmon and chicken. Everything was incredibly delicious, and you can also tell the high quality of the products used. Absolutely recommend the food, service, and excellent value!
Lifesaver – on a very windy and almost deserted day, we unexpectedly stumbled upon this fantastic food truck after the overly dramatic words "I'll die if I don't eat something soon!" Very friendly lady and excellent spaetzle at a good price. Thank you!
I went to Yuumi a few weeks ago and I'm still awestruck. I've lived in Berlin for 8 years and have gotten so used to managing my expectations that I was completely blindsided by the quality, taste, and experience I had here. I've been to Japan 5 times and the omakase here was significantly better than any of my Michelin star experiences there. It was the best meal I've had in Europe. It's difficult, maybe impossible, to do strictly Japanese food at that high a calibre in Germany, especially at this price point. The European twist on traditional Japanese cuisine is what makes Yuumi that good. It's not just highlighted in the ingredients, but the chef's story and experiences, which you will learn all about. I don't think I've ever experienced an omakase where every dish competed on an equal level with the last. I could go on and on about everything I loved about the experience, but will just say, you should go.
