For me, Yuumi is the absolute best restaurant in Berlin! I've been there twice so far and was so impressed every time! You can tell how much love and enthusiasm goes into this concept and it tastes great!

We had the pleasure of being guests at the YUUMI restaurant last week. I can really recommend everyone to pay a visit. The food is phenomenal, the service is great and the price is unbeatable. I would even be willing to pay significantly more. There is no reason not to make an effort to make a reservation. The restaurant itself is also very stylishly decorated and the food is really of excellent quality! Addendum: Went to YUUMI again after 2 years and were almost even more excited than the first time! I'm already looking forward to the next time!

I had a wonderful all-around experience, from the food and drinks to the ambience and service. The flavors took me on a delightful rollercoaster ride, and I wished it never had to end.

We had an amazing 7 course meal over more than 3 hours. Prices are extremely fair for the high quality of food and service that you're getting. The owner couple are just the loveliest hosts. Suggestion: Arrive early at their specified time and you might be able to grab the separate side-by-side seating by the kitchen which makes it seem like you have your own private chef and dinner experience.

The restaurant is run by a local couple who have an appreciation for quality ingredients, sustainability and creative cuisine. It’s also amazing to see how they’ve transformed the space themselves! We’ll definitely be back, with more friends this time.

Excellent place to get lost for some hours in food, sake and conversation. The attention to detail, both on the plate and the interior design brought so much joy. Pairing of the sakes with the food was excellent.

The previous contact, the welcome on site and the whole evening were super friendly, accommodating and incredibly tasty. All courses are explained in detail, and shortly afterwards you marvel at each course individually and then taste the variety in each dish. Here you eat things that you probably haven't eaten before. :-) The cozy atmosphere also makes it even more pleasant, as it is not a crowded restaurant, but is very clearly designed and focused on the essentials - the courses. Thank you very much for the lovely evening, we will definitely be back!

We treated ourselves to the omakase menu at Yuumi Restaurant for our anniversary. It was a great experience! We were warmly welcomed and very well accompanied with all dishes. The various courses were beautifully presented and all tasted wonderful!! We will definitely be back for another special occasion! :)

From the stylishly simple but warm ambience to the quiet jazz in the background to the really friendly service, the external setting was perfect, but the main star of the evening was definitely the food. Every single course, every bite was a taste experience. The compositions seemed well thought out and harmonized wonderfully, the aesthetic arrangement was the visual icing on the cake. The ingredients were of excellent quality and the selection of drinks left nothing to be desired. The relationship between the price and the experience offered to us is unbeatable

Wow, an amazing place! Off of the path , but it’s beautifully unassuming. Husband and wife team, extremely friendly and personable , welcoming service. Food was incredible , chef is very talented , bringing in elements of Japan, France, of course Germany , and other countries where he has studied . My friends were repeat visitors and the appreciation and gratitude that they displayed to the guests was overwhelmingly unexpected and appreciated, Especially in this fast paced world. Atmosphere was clean, simplistic, quiet . It was a Wednesday evening so not sure how the atmosphere can get on the weekends. It was a lovely experience and I would definitely return for the food and of course, the amazing hospitality. I wish these owners the best of luck with their restaurant and hope they continue to grow.

When I was traveling to Berlin, I came here on the recommendation of a friend who lives there. The dishes created by the Japanese chef's diverse cooking experience are delicious and, above all, surprising. And the space is also wonderful. This has been one of the best food experiences I've had. With its simple yet inviting design and incredibly friendly staff, Yuumi is a place that will never disappoint you. Each dish has been crafted with a high level of attention to detail, and the flavors are absolutely spot on.

The European-Japanese food is amazing and full of surprises. The owners are also very friendly and do their very best delivery a nice dining experience. Very suitable for special occasions with your family, friends, or work colleagues.

A fantastic dining experience with unique and inventive flavour combinations for each course. The plating is also quite creative and definitely elevate the experience, along with the great service. The chef came out of the kitchen to present some of the dishes and it's really evident that he is passionate about his work. Make sure to make a reservations far in advance (as it is done through email and requires confirmation, rather than being done by phone/online).

An amazing dining experience! This husband and wife duo run this restaurant by themselves. The space is cozy and spacious. There were 5 savory dishes packed with flavor and beautifully plated. The desserts were fresh and delicious too. I wish I could buy a huge tub of the Amazake ice cream!! Great place to have a special celebration, book in advance because they can only serve 10 people a night. It’s a pricy meal but well worth the price and still at a good value compared to other fine dining restaurants in Berlin. I left super full. Would love to come back!!

Ein Juwel unter den Restaurants! Das Konzept ist klasse. Auch für mich als Vegetarierin wurde ein exquisites, vielseitiges Menü gezaubert. Die einzelnen Zutaten waren handwerklich topp zubereitet, der Mix aus asiatischer und europäischer Küche sehr gelungen. Dazu kommt ein freundlicher, aufmerksamer Service- testet es selbst!

Was eine Erfahrung. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend im Yuumi. Mit einer verzaubernden Reise durch das wohl durchdachte Menü in gemütlicher familiärer Atmosphäre. Michaela hat uns toll durch den Abend begleitet und wir durften einiges lernen sowohl über die Sake aus der Sake-Begleitung als auch über das Essen an sich. Vielen Dank für den tollen Abend! Beim Betreten der Gaststätte wird man sehr herzlich empfangen. Was dann kommt habe ich noch nicht erlebt. Sieben Gänge in gut drei Stunden. Die Verbindung von traditioneller japanischer Küche mit der europäischen Küche ist sehr gut gelungen. Alle Gerichte sind sehr schmackhaft und die Anrichteweise ist ein Augenschmaus. Der Wein war gut gekühlt und beide Sorten Gin sind sehr zu empfehlen. Preis/Leistung ist nicht zu toppen. Es war ein sehr gelungener Abend, welcher unbedingt wiederholt werden muss. House of love, food of originality (Japanese European fusion), freshness and technique

YUUMI is truly a hidden gem! The resturant is located on a corner of a very nondescript building, where only a small sign in the window gives the resturany away. Inside, however, is a fantastic fusion between japanese and nordic interior which only further enhances the experience. But the food is what sets this place apart. The menu changes every day based on ingredients are avalible and in season, and ususally takes inspiration from serveral different cuisines, but always with japanese in centrum. Tables should be reserved in a week or more in advance, as the resturant only seats 10. Doors open at 18.30, and food is served at 19 on the dot. Do yourself a favour and order the sake pairing when visiting, as that definitely completes the experince. All in all, a perfect place for cosy, japanese-ish fine dining. We will be back again!

Von außen eher unscheinbar, aber innen hochwertig eingerichtet liegt der Fokus hier ganz klar auf dem Essen. Das Omakase Menü mit 7 Gängen hat uns absolut überzeugt. Wir hatten nicht einen Gang den wir besser oder schlechter als die anderen Werten würden. Jedes Gericht hatte unverwechselbare Komponenten die alle wunderbar harmonisch zueinander gepasst haben. Jeder Gang wurde vorher angekündigt und in der Zubereitung erklärt. Man fühlt sich wunderbar aufgehoben und begleitet. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Unsere Erwartungen an das Essen im Yuumi wurden deutlich übertroffen. Von außen schlicht, ein nüchternes Interieur aber ein unvergessliches Menü auf Sterneniveau, welches liebevoll und mit äußerster Sorgfalt präsentiert wird. Das Yuumi bringt japanische Esskultur nach Lichtenberg und ist der gastronomischen Konkurrenz weit voraus.

Das Restaurant hat ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Menü war vorzüglich. Eine tolle Kreation aus besonderen Zutaten. Der Mix aus europäischer und japanischer Küche ist vollständig gelungen. Eine Empfehlung

The restaurant has a very creative menu. Was there two times and always satisfied with the food and service.

Wunderbares Essen: ein Sieben-Gänge-Menü in mehr als 3 Stunden mit freundlicher Bedienung und tollem japanischen Koch, alles für das Auge und den Gaumen. Siehe Fotos. Restaurantbesuch nur mit Vorbuchung und man bekommt das, was "dem Koch gefällt", also keine Menükarte zum selber aussuchen, das kann man aber dann noch bei den Getränken machen. Und: wir sind definitiv satt geworden:-)

Ausnahmeerscheinung. Wir waren zu 8 vor Ort und haben das 7-Gängemenü genossen. Jeder Gang einzigartig ein Genuss, egal ob als Alles-Esser oder Vegetarier. Passende Getränke-Begleitung, unfassbares Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Ich hätte mehr bezahlt für das Essen und wäre trotzdem vollständig zufrieden. Absolute Empfehlung.

I discovered YUUMI by chance and I have to say all the 5 star reviews are true! We went with 2 other friends in October and all of us love the food and really appreciate the thoughts and details they put on each dish. We really appreciate that they take their time to answer our questions regarding the source of the ingredients. And when we informed them about our food restriction, they made a change for me without compromising the presentation and the tastiness of the food. I was just blown away by the deliciousness and we had a really wonderful dinner. Thank you for the great food and service. Hope to be your guests soon again!
