The small restaurant is owner-managed, the chef cooks himself and only serves typical local dishes. The hospitality is very warm and personal, the prices are fair. A sign of the good quality is that Ethiopians also eat at Scheger, who of course know and can judge their country's cuisine very well.

Very tasty food, a good selection and affordable even for vegetarians. We had the vegetarian plate for two people with a generous selection of different lentil and chickpea creations. Definitely worth a visit.

I really enjoyed it and liked it. The food comes quickly and is a real treat. The atmosphere there is also relaxed and pleasant. I can only recommend it!

Sorry to go against the mainstream but we didn’t like the food. The small mixed platter for 5€ was basically some green salad, a teaspoon of potato salad, a teaspoon of some sour injira bread and a toast bread with some mustard-looking spread. The mixed vegetarian meal was bland and uninspiring. There’s better Ethiopian in Munich than Omo. PS the service was nice but mega slow. And last but not least, cash only? In 2024? Really?

You will be welcomed very friendly. The restaurant is very simple. The service was quick and the food was very delicately seasoned and consistently delicious. Of course you have to be prepared to eat with your fingers. Which the softer the bread gets becomes more difficult and soggy. But maybe I did it too 😅 Overall, an extremely nice visit.
