If you rush from one lecture to the next, you always have the opportunity to buy something to eat or drink here. There is a large selection of delicious sandwiches and also sausages. The staff there are very friendly. If for some reason you didn't get breakfast, you can get it here. Currently only Thoska is accepted as a method of payment. I think it's a shame that sometimes it's closed and you don't really notice. But it could also be that I'm missing something. Surely there is a plan somewhere.

By coincidence we had already been here a year ago. Back then, shortly before closing time, we received extremely friendly service. It also tasted excellent. Now we were once again at the ice rink in Ilmenau and a visit here couldn't be missed. Again very friendly and very tasty. Keep it up!! We'll be back.

A very inconspicuous mountain hut, but a wonderful team in the catering, especially the kitchen, deserves a star ⭐ from our side. We'll definitely be back. Kind regards from Saxon Switzerland.

We were lucky enough to be able to eat here during our visit to Illmenau. Great service with very nice host! The food was fresh and delicious. Really recommended!

Great location! Parking spaces are available nearby, you can sit inside and in a very well-kept and very inviting outdoor area. Personal greeting from the boss and/or employee, without exception very friendly! Huge selection of delicious dishes, rounded off by a balanced range of drinks. Ouzo is of course included! 🙏 Prices? - Not a bargain, but considering the quality and quantity, the prices quoted are ABSOLUTELY OK. Guaranteed I'll come back!

The staff is friendly, the portions are great. Everything fits.

We ate here and were very impressed. It was super tasty, just as we had hoped and the ladies were very nice too.

Portions small, prices salty. The roulade is smaller than a dumpling, but costs over €20. Guest room not very clean, the baby high chair was pretty dirty and we were allowed to clean it ourselves. I personally wouldn't go there again, I really can't recommend it.

Our food was served after 2 minutes: everything drowned in sauce. When I asked if it came from the microwave, the lady reacted very grumpily; supposedly everything comes fresh from the stove. The question then is: How many days has it been on it? We cannot recommend the restaurant.

A culinary delight. Very nice hosts. It's worth taking a look at the toilets (look at them all 😉) Be sure to reserve in advance. We'd love to come back. 😋 Our soup of the day was incredibly good. 😋

We weren't there often, but we enjoyed being with you. One of the last inns in the region where you could get authentic Thuringian cuisine in an authentic ambience. It's a shame that the death of inns is progressing in favor of "national" property managers and that the identity of the Rennsteig is once again falling victim to greed for profit.
