I'm sticking with my previous opinion. The owner is running the place by himself. He saw we weren't in a hurry and kept saying "I'll be right there" to us – in a good way! Our 3-year-old daughter seemed to take over half the place drawing on the floor, but nobody seemed to mind. We came because Google said they had the best burgers here. Mission accomplished! The meat was sensational and still slightly pink inside. The buns and dips were homemade. Great place – keep it up!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Despite the place being packed and us not having a reservation, they still managed to accommodate a large group. This was solely due to the exceptional effort the staff made. This was true for other guests as well: when it was full, it was full, but service here clearly knows no bounds 😉 And even though the place was bursting at the seams and the staff were sometimes under pressure, everyone remained incredibly kind, friendly, and relaxed. There was always a smile and even a little joke here and there. Of course, you could tell how exhausting it all was, but that's precisely what makes their professionalism and good humor all the more impressive. It's important to remember that the Bobhütte is a new establishment. Like any new place, there are bound to be a few teething problems. Just stay relaxed and overlook things if it takes a little longer or if everything doesn't run perfectly right away. It is, and remains, a restaurant only accessible on foot, and that's exactly what gives it its charm. ... The food is perfectly adequate and absolutely fine for a mountain hut. My snack platter was fantastic: very tasty, very generous, and more than fair for the price. Service was top-notch, atmosphere was top-notch. You can tell that the new owner has invested a lot of money and heart and soul to give something back to Ilmenau, and he's really succeeded. We'll definitely be back. This will become our regular haunt again, just like it was many years ago. Absolutely.

I was in Ilmenau for a seminar at the Binz company and had dinner here. This restaurant is an insider tip. The food and beer were excellent, and the prices were fair. The atmosphere in the restaurant is rustic, cozy, and welcoming. The owner is a real character and very hospitable. If I ever find myself in Ilmenau again, I'll definitely eat here again. Thank you very much.

A day trip and an hour in the beautiful snow, followed by a stop at a restaurant. We received a very warm welcome. The atmosphere was fantastic, modern, and very comfortable. The team was truly friendly and attentive. And the food was absolutely delicious. Even our dog was treated to a complimentary appetizer. In short... highly recommended!
