John's Weinbergbaude is simply a fantastic restaurant. Great views, exquisite food prepared with love. A family-run restaurant with a limited number of tables...so it's always best to make a reservation in advance.
Update: Everything was fine, we felt very comfortable again. Pizza still great! 😄
We have eaten at Peperonino several times and each time we are impressed with the pizzas. The base is thin and crispy, just great. I have to deduct one star for the service. Basically, people are friendly and as a guest you feel that way too, but the following is annoying: the daily special menu is pointed out too late, sometimes the lively hustle and bustle behind the bar seems a bit confused, the owners and their staff seem stressed and a bit dissatisfied with each other, that wasn't the case to be overlooked. That's a shame, as a guest you don't like to see something like that. The last point that bothers me: when I order an aperitif, I would like to be asked how big it should be. And don't be served 4cl without asking and cashed in - thank you!
The change in my review relates to my last 3 visits. In the summer we left once after waiting for an hour. It was full, but after being greeted (as regulars, mind you) we were studiously ignored. The other two visits, each with a larger group, weren't as nice either. The atmosphere in the restaurant has always been a bit cool and the waiting times long, but even when it is comparatively quiet, the service takes 30 minutes for drinks alone. Reorders are not possible at all. The portions have become significantly smaller. The prices are still higher than the competition. Last time we visited there were really only 2 small pieces of chicken in the Doro Wot and we felt like we were being fooled. There are now very good alternatives in Leipzig and Halle and we no longer visit the Addis Café when we have an appetite for Ingera.
I was a huge fan of the old team. The drinks were great, the staff incredibly friendly, and the catering was fantastic, including plenty of vegetarian options! So, it's working! That's why I'm a little sad that the new menu from the new owner offers only one vegetarian dish, even though it's so easy these days. I hope they'll adjust that, so I'll be happy to come back!
Nice pub, with a pleasant relaxed atmosphere. The delicious food and the very friendly and, above all, attentive service round off the entire appearance perfectly! I will definitely visit Miner's again next time I'm in Freiberg. I'm looking forward to it!
We were here for the first time today and were thrilled. A great little typically Portuguese locale. You were served without being intrusive. We even got a few tips about Lisbon 😊. We'll be back soon. Thank you for the lovely time with you.
Football runs every day, no matter how crowded it is, sensational🥰, typical pub likes the atmosphere and I'm glad it exists GG🫶Ps.: the soup runs down like oilllll uhhhmm Biiieerrr, even if it's stale sometimes, but then can you communicate this well with the bartender 🥰
