Wir waren mittags dort und haben 3 vegetarische Gerichte bestellt (Aloo Gobi, Palak Paneer, Paneer Baingan Bahar). Wir wurden schnell und freundlich bedient, haben sogar eine unfassbar leckere Vorspeise erhalten (Tamarinden - und Minz Chutney) und das Essen kam zügig und war super lecker. Wir können alle 3 Gerichte sowie das Nanbrot empfehlen. Außerdem war der Service sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Mein Paneer Butter Masala war einfach himmlisch! Das beste, das ich je gegessen habe! Auch das Naan und das Mango Lassi waren super. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Die Suppen, wir hatten 3 verschiedenen waren gut. Die Hauptspeise 4 verschiedene trotz anderer Beschreibungen fast gleich. Rote fest sitzende Fertigmischung an Huhn, Tofu und Lamm. Für indisches Essen sehr fade. Schade

Fleisch war eher fest statt weich. Soßen waren ok, insgesamt Standard mehr nicht.

Sehr gutes Restaurant mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nochmal herkommen. Die Gerichte waren sehr gut gewürzt und nicht zu lasch, wie es häufig bei anderen indischen Restaurants der Fall ist. Preislich sehr gut, jedoch etwas wenig Reis mit einem Schälchen für 2 Personen. Da mussten wir eine Portion für 2,40€ nachbestellen.

Schlechter Service, essen bekommen was nicht bestellt wurde ohne jegliches Entgegenkommen …. Nie wieder !!!!

Wir hatten über Wolt bestellt und waren schon enttäuscht. Die gemischte Grillplatte war mit 2 wirklich kleinen Stückchen Lamm, 1 Hühnerbein, 1 Schenkel und 3 kleine Würfel aus Hühnchen für 19,99€ eine Unverschämtheit. Die frittierten Käseecken waren kalt, dadurch war das frittierte wie Gummi. Die mitgelieferte Minzsauce prickelte im Mund, was sehr eigenartig war. Die frittierten Linsenbälle kamen uns vor, als ob sie schon älter waren, sehr trocken und einfach in Saucen gelegt. Das Naan Brot hat gut geschmeckt, aber mit 3 kleineren Streifen schon wenig für 1 Portion. Schade.

Mein persönlicher Favorit unter den indischen Restaurants in Dresden. Es gibt auch weniger scharfe und dafür fruchtige Hauptgerichte. Frisch. Kichererbsen-Fladen und Dips als Gruß aus der Küche. Eine Karaffe Leitungswasser kann man auch haben. 👍🏻

Das Restaurant war sehr klein, was wiederum gut war,da die Gesprächslautstärke somit gering war. An und für sich war das Essen sehr lecker, Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Das Essen war hervorragend und authentisch gewürzt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Service: Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und aufmerksam bedient. Auch das Ambiente ist stimmig und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Ich kann den Grillteller definitiv nicht empfehlen. Für 20 Euro war die Portion wirklich winzig. Man könnte zwar sagen, eine kleine Portion sei lecker, aber nein. Tut mir leid, aber ich würde ihn unter allen indischen Restaurants, die ich in Dresden besucht habe, auf den letzten Platz setzen. Dort schmeckt das Essen nicht nur besser, sondern es ist auch günstiger und die Portionen sind größer. Die Hähnchenschenkel schmeckten komisch, weil sie nicht frisch waren. Das Lammfleisch war überhaupt nicht gut, nur der Käse darin war lecker. Ambiente und Service waren gut. Es ist zwar nett, dass sie Leitungswasser anbieten, aber trotzdem kostet jedes Glas 90 Cent, und die Getränke sind dort teuer. Dafür gibt es von mir nur 2 von 5 Sternen – definitiv nicht mehr.

Ein wirklich schönes Restaurant, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und professionell, das Essen ist sehr gut und die Preise sind angemessen! Ein echter Geheimtipp!

Kleines, nettes Restaurant mit leckerem Essen und liebenswürdigen Personal. Wir hatten im Vorfeld über einen Gutschein-Anbieter ein Menü zum Sonderpreis gebucht. Hier wurde trotz des dadurch sehr niedrigen Preises offensichtlich nichts am Essen abgespeckt oder die Portion reduziert. Auch geschmacklich war das Essen super 👍.

Wir hatten jeweils eine Vor- und eine Hauptspeise. Alles hat fantastisch geschmeckt. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Super Essen, Personal brutal nett

Wir waren dort zu zweit zum Abendessen. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt, die Bedienung war aufmerksam.

Also, wir sind wegen der 4,6-Sterne-Bewertung dorthin gegangen, aber das Essen (Hähnchen) war total roh und viel zu süß. Das Curry schmeckte wie Pasta-Curry mit roter Soße, das man sonst nur draußen bekommt. Außerdem krabbelten Insekten auf unserem Essen herum. Ich habe den Kellner darauf angesprochen, aber er meinte nur: „Draußen regnet es“, räumte das Essen weg und kümmerte sich überhaupt nicht darum. Ich bin mir sicher, dass mein Kommentar wegen der Google-Richtlinien und der Art, wie Restaurants negative Bewertungen löschen, gelöscht wird, aber ich habe ein Foto vom Kassenbon. :) Das Sambhar hatte kein Sambhar Masala. Ich könnte noch ewig so weitermachen. Schreckliche Wahl und viel zu teuer dafür.

Sehr leckeres Essen und guter Service.

Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber das größte Problem war, dass wir von Fliegen umschwärmt wurden, die überall auf unseren Gesichtern und unserem Essen herumschwirrten...

Ich habe bei Wolt bestellt, das Essen kam später an, was mich nicht stört. Was ich unverschämt finde, ist die Qualität des Essens für diesen Preis. Der Reis war geschmacklos, das Chicken Tikka für 17,90 Euro völlig überteuert (mittelgroße Portion, 5 Stücken Hähnchen und ein bisschen Paprika und Zwiebel, langweilig im Geschmack), eigentlich ist das mein Lieblingsgericht, daher kann ich auch Vergleiche ziehen. Das Naan schmeckte wie eine Schuhsohle, tut mir leid aber ich bereue diese teure Bestellung unglaublich.

Sehr zu empfehlen, Essen tolle Qualität, Service freundlich.

Hab chicken Tikka Masala bestellt. Ca. 60 Gramm Hähnchen.

Das Essen war gut, aber nicht überragend. Der Wunsch nach Schärfe wurde trotz Nachfrage nicht erfüllt. Die Portionen waren eher überschaubar klein. Bsp : Chicken Madras und Mango Chicken hatten je genau 6 kleine Fleischstückchen. Die Vorspeise Chili Chicken hatte jedoch 11 Stückchen. Da passt das Verhältnis leider nicht. Weniger erfreulich war der Service, der leider weder deutsch noch englisch so gut versteht, dass die richtigen Speisen und das bitte auch noch in der richtigen Reihenfolge geliefert werden. Die Vorspeise als letztes Gericht nachzulieferen geht gar nicht. Als wir nach dem Essen fertig waren wurde weder abgeräumt noch nach weiteren Wünschen gefragt. Insgesamt also eher enttäuschend

The food was good, but not outstanding. Our request for spice was not met despite requesting it. The portions were rather small. For example, the Chicken Madras and Mango Chicken each had exactly 6 small pieces of meat. The Chili Chicken appetizer, however, had 11 pieces. The ratio was unfortunately not right. Less pleasing was the service, which unfortunately didn't understand German or English well enough to ensure the correct dishes were served, and in the correct order. Serving the appetizer as the last course was completely unacceptable. When we finished our meal, the table was neither cleared away nor asked if we had any further requests. Overall, it was rather disappointing.

The food was not up to the mark, and the quality was quite poor. On top of that, the waiter’s arrogant behavior made the experience even worse. Definitely not worth the visit.

There was no quantity and the staff was not polite at all please don't visit this restaurant at all 🙏 also when we asked them to improve they said to leave the restaurant so we left

I wish there could have been an option for negative rating as well. We have ordered kadhai paneer and kadhai chicken but both were worst in taste as well as in quantity, we asked the waiter quantity is less why it's so less then the staff is so arrogant they told us to leave... That's all. Would never recommend visiting here.

Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Both the Matar Mushroom and Veg Kadhai were bland, and the naan and rice were unremarkable. Service was rude and arrogant and we were completely ignored, which made the experience even worse. Would not recommend. Not an authentic India restaurant. Atmosphere was the only good thing about Mumbai Masala.

A cute restaurant with Indian flair. The service was nice, though they could be a bit more attentive. We had to ask for our attention a few times. The food was good. The portions were sometimes a bit small, but overall, it was delicious. The various lassis were delicious! Reservations on weekends are recommended.

Really delicious, friendly service, and a mango liqueur on the house to finish. We'd love to come back.

Finally, after 20 years, there's a good Indian restaurant in Dresden. I've been waiting a long time for this. The food is excellent, the service pleasant and friendly. The ambiance isn't stereotypically Indian, but rather pleasantly neutral. Highly recommended!

I didn't go in with high expectations, but the service was excellent. The two who served while I was there were constantly present but never intrusive. The food was excellent, and I loved the concept of the pans that were given to you so you could measure out your own portions. All in all, a really good restaurant.

They serve authentic Indian food; let them know of your preferred spice level and they are prompt to take that into consideration. The staff is thoughtful and the service is timely.

Very good Indian cuisine restaurant. Long menu with a lot of choices. Waiting time is quite short. Good quality of food, excellent rice. Beer served cold and on a good glass. Price could be lower I guess, but 50E for three people with drinks is not bad. Overall good restaurant that is worth visiting.

Update: I've been here a few times now, and if you're here and like spicy food, you have to try the number 17 Gobi Manchurian. So awesome 🤤 Delicious food and even more delicious drinks. Luckily, we still found a spot, but you really have to hurry, or I won't get a seat.

The food is delicious but the price is a bit high. Still worth it to visit and try out Indian cuisine.

The chicken, they serve is always breast chunks, like rubber pieces. The Madras chicken Korma is tasteless. The chicken pieces are boiled in tomato puree. Guys, don't disrespect the names of the menu when you write in your menu and serve at overseas restaurants. If the chef you hire doesn't know the preparation, remove the items from your menu. The tasteless curry paste is common for every item they serve. When you represent the Indian menu, you have to be responsible and respectful of the things you serve.

Incredibly delicious, friendly and very prompt service, and a great ambiance both inside and out. Excellent value for money. A real recommendation and, in my opinion, the best Indian restaurant in the Neustadt district.

We ended up at Mumbai Masala through Groupon. I simply bought a voucher there. Definitely not a mistake! The food was very tasty and the service was also very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely come back, even without a voucher ☺️.

Absolutely recommended! Mumbai Masala offers authentic Indian cuisine at the highest level. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. We'll definitely be back!

The samosas are frozen goods. One corner was not properly fried and was still cold. The main course was tasty but not what I ordered. The cream cheese dish did not contain any cream cheese. There was also no trace of the specified tomato. Unfortunately, the error was not admitted even when asked. Since there are two other Indian restaurants within 100 m, it is better to visit them.

The tamarind and mint sauce which comes as starters was fantastic. Ordered veg biryani and bhindi masala and both of them were amazing. Taste is above par and I can say that because I am indian. Cheers to the whole team

The Mumbai Massala is a real highlight for lovers of Indian cuisine! The dishes are authentic, freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned. I was particularly impressed by the variety of dishes - from aromatic curries to delicious specialties. The service is warm and attentive, so you immediately feel at home. There is also a pleasant atmosphere that rounds off the visit. Totally recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy good Indian food!

The starters were OK. The main courses were very tasty with good portion sizes for the price. The lassis are very tasty.

Recently the management has changed! Tasted excellent Samosa and real Indian style tea!! Very receptive people, they serve really fresh, hot & tasty food. Must visit for genuine Indian taste.

In short, the food here is good, at least the main courses, the service is good too and the ambience is good too. The price is also okay for what is on offer, especially because the portion size is also right. We were here on New Year's Eve and had no problem getting a table reserved two days in advance for three people. When we arrived, the service was courteous and after we had chosen the three dishes plus starters, the food arrived quickly. Unfortunately the starters (pakora and samosa) were just ok. The breading of the pakora was a bit thick and the taste was just ok. At least the portion size of the paneer was very good and it was nicely presented. Samosa, on the other hand, was a little better but not great either. But the main courses were definitely better: good portion with LOTS of sauce! Exactly how I want it! We had the butter chicken, masala and kadhai. The best of the three was definitely the Kadhai, which was very tasty and was specially sharpened upon request (which was a good choice as the spiciness was very balanced but still quite hot). The butter chicken, on the other hand, could have been a little more buttery and a little sweeter, but overall it was still solid. The masala too. The meat in all three (Kadhai was lamb) was tender and properly cooked. Another word about the rice and naan. The former is very tasty, well cooked without being too soft and seasoned just right so that you can taste both the spices and the rice itself. Unfortunately the naan doesn't keep up and even if we make it at home, where it doesn't even come from a tandor, it's better, but overall the naan is still ok. Oh and the lassies were also delicious, the mango something we probably even had made with fresh mango according to the taste and the price was also very fair. Thanks to the fair price for the portion size as well as the service and the taste and quality of the main dishes, I would still give it 4 stars. It's good and you can definitely do it :-)

Very tasty food. Tastes very original. The Himalayan Lassi is recommended. There is also pani puri, very tasty (I've never found anything like it in Germany and I was very happy that it was available)! All in all a large selection, also a lot of vegetarian options and everything was delicious. Really recommended

Went to the restaurant with a Groupon voucher so of course a very good price/performance ratio, nice service, good draft beer. The taste of the food was very good, it was just a bit dry and there was hardly any sauce, but it was still a pleasant stay!

The four of us ordered and shared four different vegan curries. It was all delicious. The selection of vegan and vegetarian options is very good. The service was top and the price-performance ratio was also very good.

Ordered for delivery, the food was tasteless, absolutely no salt in any of the dishes. Butter chicken tasted of nothing, as did the tandoori chicken. If anyone knows, tandoori chicken is supposed to be dry and spiced, bell peppers and onions are okay to go with it but it’s not supposed to be wet and saucy, if I wanted to order a chicken curry then I would have ordered one. The only thing that was a little edible was the seekh kebab and the daal “suppe” The order was missing parts of items, the mint sauce, the condiments for the pav bhaji, and the naan was obviously stale and hard like crackers. Please don’t believe the good reviews for this restaurant. The food is absolutely terrible, you can save your money and get better quality food anywhere else. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.

I spontaneously had dinner here with my girlfriend early on Thursday evening. Even without a reservation we got a nice seat and the service was polite and quick. The menu is not overloaded and yet rich enough to be a wonderful topic of conversation when choosing. The prices are reasonable as far as meals are concerned and they are quite filling. I thought the mango juice was a bit overpriced. The clean toilets and the not too loud music are pleasant. The gentleman at the counter was very happy to say goodbye when we told him it tasted good. If you eat here later in the evening, I think a reservation would make sense.

In terms of food, it's an average Indian restaurant. We went there because there are some dishes on the menu that are not available at every Indian restaurant in DD (Gol Gappas, Pav Bhaji and Aloo Paratha) Unfortunately, the Gol Gappas were old and no longer crispy and the Aloo Paratha had very little filling and was rather small for the price. The Pav Bhaji was well seasoned but unfortunately the bread was regular white bread. The sambar was really good! (Unfortunately there is no idli or dosa.) The service is friendly and relatively quick. All in all, you can't go wrong here, but you don't have to go there either.

We visited Mumbai Masala as a family today and really enjoyed the delicious food and drinks at dinner time. The atmosphere is refreshing, with Indian background music and traditional decorations. If you are looking for an authentic dining experience in Dresden Neustadt, we recommend this lovely Indian restaurant to make your belly happy and your soul satisfied. Enjoy your visit!

The shop is great, nice hosts, super fresh food... the brasen in the restaurant was a bit stupid but the overall impression is great.. We'll be back!

Good Indian, but nothing exceptional. The chai tea was very good, but other than that I would say the food was pretty normal like any other Indian, but still good. The restaurant is decorated in a typically Indian style and smells nice of incense sticks. The toilets really stink of sweat or something similar... I didn't like that. Overall, if you want to eat cheaply, you can do that because that's possible here.

Very tasty food, clear menu that doesn't overwhelm but still offers a lot of variety, pleasantly open atmosphere and extremely attentive and courteous service! There is also a large selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes. The mixed pakora plate is recommended. :) We wanted to try out the new store and returned home with an extremely positive experience. Gladly again!

Not place to be so stay away because just found it’s not the place anymore what it was known & also made me confused that outside it’s Mumbai Masala & why it’s still advertising inside as a Masala ? They quality is poor & unfriendly service even in empty restaurant wow | not recommended better go elsewhere

In the best location of Dresden Neustadt, you can try out culinary flavors here. A mango lassi soothes the unfamiliar throat with fiery food. Everything was great!!!

Must try this restaurant whenever in Dresden, Loved where it's based right in Neustadt What I really like is that they have Pav Bhaji which is a very typical Mumbai dish and it's actually a rare one to find in Dresden Do try it out Special mention is Punnet ji who is the owner of restaurant really friendly and a pleasant person and Kripalji Do give it a shot really worth it

Maybe I was unlucky, but the chicken curry really wasn't good. The sauce was thin and quite bland. And the rice unsalted and also unseasoned. Just like I know Indian food from the freezer in the supermarket :-( I remember eating better food here :-/

Ordered Kadhai paneer from this place on 16th March. The taste was bland. I am Indian and I know the dish was definitely not kadhai paneer or any other paneer dish which might been sent by mistake. I had ordered a lot of times from this place before and every time I admired the taste. But this time it was so bad that I don't think I am gonna ever order from this place. Edit: the restaurant sent us the dish again and this time the taste was way better. So I am giving it normal stars.

The operators are very nice and motivated. My lamb dish was excellent. I particularly liked ordering online via the website; I was able to choose a level of spiciness straight away, and the meat was tender as butter.
