Punjab Indisches Restaurant in Dresden

I have order Chilli Chicken at the restaurant but served food was very bad taste and seems like it is made up of rotten sause. Then I talk with service person and informed he was mentioned that it is due to sause issue but did not say any apologise or any sorry from that issue. Then he asked any other dish can provide, and then I have asked serve the regular item and he mentioned „Chicken Madras“. Honestly, this served dish also not good and chicken taste still not well mixed/properly not cooked. Interesting thing is bill payment: He taken bill of rotten dish (chilli chicken) with half price and newly provide dish with full price. I have expected newly provide dish is the replacement of previous curry, but he took half the price as well. So I have paid whatever he mentioned amount. That’s my experience in this restaurant.

We went to this restaurant for the first time because we wanted to redeem a voucher (2 dishes for the price of 1). The food was very tasty, the drinks too. We ordered from the lunch menu, where all dishes cost less than 10 euros. Because of the voucher, however, we were charged the evening price of the food, which was almost a third higher. But it was okay considering the really tasty and plentiful food.

The two of us had dinner. The service and ambience were actually good. We each ate a dish with chicken. Unfortunately, after the first bite of the chicken, we lost our appetite because the chicken was no longer good. Both dishes, one palak and one korma, were also tasteless apart from being spicy. We are actually used to something different from Indian cuisine and our visit to Punjab was correspondingly disappointing for us.

The best Indian restaurant in Dresden. I reserved a table at short notice. The menu is very extensive and the prices are completely reasonable. The food tasted super delicious. The service was very friendly and explained to us the different dishes on the vegetarian platter. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this restaurant!!!

The service is very pleasant and courteous. The food was delicious as expected, my girlfriend & I couldn't get enough of the naan bread :) We had previously ordered warm meals several times from the beautifully designed restaurant (the walls).

I just have to give it 5 out of 5 stars. My husband and I have eaten in Punjab 3 or 4 times now and we have never regretted it. Very friendly people, nice ambience with attention to detail and the food is amazing. I especially love a certain yogurt drink “Mango Yoghurt Lassi”. And the mango sauce with meat and rice is highly recommended.

Portions very less for the price. Delivery time is unbelievable (1 hour 15 mins instead of the estimated 45 mins). Taste is mediocre. Food quality issues reported on Lieferando were simply declined by the restaurant.

We ordered food from Punjab and ate it at home. The delivery time was really quick at around 30 minutes. The employee was very friendly. The food itself was still nice and hot and tasted really delicious. At this point a clear recommendation to those who want to eat Indian specialties in the area. There is room for improvement regarding the amount of naan bread. For the price we expected two to three slices more. We would also like a spicy dish with the Indian cheese for vegetarians. 👍❤️

The food is generally good... but unfortunately when we ordered online we had to wait around 2 hours (more than an hour more than stated) for the food. Necessary to make multiple calls to the restaurant. Despite the frustration of waiting, I have to say that the staff somehow tried to be nice. This excessive and unacceptable waiting time is a shame and very annoying... I definitely wouldn't order there again... But maybe we'll give it another chance on site... Because such an on-site visit seems to be highly recommended according to previous comments.

The food was really good and filling. The portions are well balanced and the taste is really good 👍 The man at the table was attentive and conscientious, which I liked. He also had a joke or two up his sleeve. Personally, I don't particularly like the atmosphere. Ich habe die Mittagskarte genutzt und da war Preis Leistung gut. Es war auch eine richtig schöne große Portion. Der Service war auch sehr nett.

Sehr gutes indisches Essen in einer entspannten, ruhigen Atmosphäre und einer freundlichen Bewirtung.

Ich würde gerne 5 Sterne geben, da wir seit vielen Jahren gern beim Punjab essen (meistens Bestellung zum Abholen). Leider haben sich Geschmack und Zusammensetzung unserer Lieblingsgerichte im Laufe des letzten Jahres zum Negativen geändert. Beim Chicken Korma z.B. hat man früher Mandeln, Kokosnussraspel und Nüsse in einer goldgelben schönen Kardamon-Kokos-Sahnesauce erhalten. Seit der Rezeptänderung bekommt man eine lasche viel zu stark pürierte hellgelbe Sauce, die zu sehr nach Kokosnuss schmeckt und weder Nüsse noch Kokosflocken sind identifizierbar. Auch in anderen Chicken-Gerichten mit Sauce vermissen wir stückiges Gemüse und Gewürze. Liebes Punjab Team, bitte geht doch wieder auf die leckeren Saucen-Rezepte von früher zurück.

Food is very good. Some staff still needs to find its ways taking orders, etc. They could improve their onboarding/training process. A huge minus is payment. Asking for the bill, they don't give you an option to choose between cash or card. Instead, they suggest that you must tell them in the moment you ask for the bill how you want to pay. Any other place will let you see the bill first and ask how you want to pay then. I had to go to an ATM to get cash as they wouldn't let me pay by card (their cash registry does not allow changing the method of payment once entered).

Super leckeres Essen zu einem super Preis. Wir hatten zur Vorspeise eine gemischte Platte mit paniertem Gemüse. Die Panade war super lecker und ein Salat mit dreierlei Soßen war noch mit dabei. Zum Hauptgang hatten wir Rotbarsch mit scharfer Soße (10/10), Paneer mit Cashew Knoblauch Soße (9/10) und die 43 (10/10). Die Bedienungen war super freundlich und herzlich! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

NOT at all RECOMMENDED..!! The food quality is sometimes good and sometimes not good. But food quality is seconday first comes the WAY TO TALK. Today the food was not tasting good and when I politely said that taste is not good. He mentioned you INDIANS have bahut "nakhre" and also mentioned " ki ap INDIANS ko lagta hai ap order nahin karege to restaurant nahin chalega". I request indians to please have some self respect and dont order from this restaurant. And this happened when I am their regular customer. Poor quality of aloo paratha and Naan.very hard and stale. Gobi pakora was without salt. Palak paneer was just average. Ordered via ubereats.
