Die besten Restaurants in Wuppertal

The restaurant itself is nice and you can tell that you are in Wuppertal (the suspension railway can be seen everywhere). Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service and food: we waited over an hour for our starter and the soup was lukewarm. When we complained about this, we were told that we could have said something, but we didn't want to wait any longer. That evening the chanterelles were out, as was the beef fillet and the rump steak - so I had no choice but to eat schnitzel. My friend wanted fried potatoes instead of fries, but we were told that it would be too time-consuming for the cook... by bending and breaking we got fried potatoes. Due to the poor service, we were given drinks - but that didn't save the evening. We won't visit the restaurant again.

Kleine Karte - verständlich da für das Opernpublikum nur limitierte Öffnungszeiten. Die Brasserie wird von der CULINARIA in der Stadthalle mitbetrieben. So könnte man gutes erwarten. Wir aßen Antipasti, Poularde, tranklen Bier und sehr guten Wein aus der Gascogne. Sind schon öfters hier und immer zufrieden gewesen, aber diesesmal: Sehr freundlicher Empfang und Service. Antipasti: ein Witz für 15€! ein Haufen trockener Couscous unter einem Haufen trockenem Ruccolasalat ohne Marinade, 2 kleine getrocknete Tomaten, 2 winzige Paprikastreifen, 1/8 Artischocke, 2 winzige Strauchtomaten - alles! Poularde: sehr gut gewürzt, Fleich totgekocht (trocken), Kortoffelpurree leicht schleimig (zu lange pürriert), sehr gute, tiefbraune Sauce. Dazu ein Messer, auf dem man hätte reiten können- es versagte. Die Rechnung wurde völlig unpassenderweise vor unseren eingeladenen Freunden lauthals verkündet. Dann nach 1,5 Std, wurden wir freundlich gebeten, zu gehen. Wenn diese Fehler ausgemerzt sein sollten, ist das Restaurant im Gebäude der Oper dennoch zu empfehlen. All dieses wurde der freundlcihen Kellnerin auch so gesagt, sodaß wir hier nicht nachtreten.

My first choice for vegetarian/vegan burgers! If it's not too crowded, you can get your food very quickly. Attentive waiters round off the service to my complete satisfaction.

The kitchen in Vohwinkel is an institution. You've been getting fresh, delicious food here for decades. In addition to all the usual things, there are also rather rare things like stews, fried potatoes with fried eggs, etc. Always quick, always delicious. Offers much more than the usual takeaways.

For more than 10 years it has been the only place I trust when it comes to - in my opinion - the best pizza rolls in Wuppertal. Ordering is sometimes a bit difficult, as you need a bit of patience to spell exactly what your name is and where you live. But it's definitely worth the effort!

Parking rip-off in front of the door, didn't see it and had to pay €35 for 20 minutes of parking. I still can't understand how you can give your parking space to such con artists! It's no longer human...

We actually wanted to eat at Katzengold, but there was no more room. For me, most of the restaurants/cafés on Luisenstrasse always have the character of a student pub restaurant and I think that's good and expect it. Unfortunately, on my last visit I was very irritated because even though the food in Congo was good, it was simply far too expensive for the location and the overall feeling. The salad costs 20 euros, bread 2 euros extra and a spaghetti for 17 euros. Everything tasted good, no question, but the prices don't match the rest of the ambience. It's not a fancy restaurant and I don't expect it to be, but the prices and portions seem like it. Then prefer simpler food, a little cheaper, then it's fine. We were pressed for time, otherwise we would have just had a drink and eaten somewhere else. It's a shame, I remembered it differently from before.

It's very nice and currently quite secret because it's decorated for Advent.

Was super tasty! Unfortunately they didn't have a few things left, but that was probably because we weren't there until around 9 p.m. :))

It can always happen that you forget something, deliver something incorrectly, etc. We are all only human - but what we experienced yesterday didn't even deserve one star! We had the flyer in our mailbox and wanted to order delicious pizzas and rolls. We placed the order online, but have not yet received a confirmation by email. So we called the snack bar - they confirmed the order and immediately started eating, pointing out that the confirmation always ends up in the spam folder - and that's how it was. The email said delivery would take place after 30 minutes. When we still received nothing after more than an hour, we called again. This time only the owner of the snack bar was there, who was at the checkout. She knew nothing about it and didn't accommodate us in any way (e.g. another delivery on a different day). Unfortunately it was so late that no other snack bar or shop was open. Taking and confirming an order and then not delivering without a word is an absolute no go!

Unfortunately, I haven't eaten there yet, but I order there regularly and am always impressed. Really very tasty everything, fast delivery, not a single mistake even with large orders. Great!

Highly recommended in every respect. Fantastic food, very attentive staff and great ambience.

So far I have eaten delicious pizza spaghetti and gyros plates there. Price-performance is good! The portions are large and deliciously prepared. The ambience is getting old but okay for a snack.
