Excellent service; I've rarely experienced such attentive service. Absolutely superb. The food was delicious, the drinks very good (though they could have used less ice). The seating wasn't very comfortable; we sat at a large table and didn't try the chairs. Please keep up the good work! I'll definitely be back on my next visit to the city... highly recommended!

Fantastic burgers, we visit this place every time we're in Wuppertal. Very friendly service, and the food is delicious. Children are always given crayons and coloring books while they wait for their meal. The atmosphere inside is very pleasant. The interior is always clean and top-notch. Next time we're in Wuppertal, we'll definitely visit Hans im glück. I definitely recommend it for a family dinner.

It was absolutely perfect. Although the place was packed, everything ran like clockwork, including a water bowl for the dog. Attentive, friendly staff who addressed you informally (wonderful!), superb food (both in quality and quantity), and excellent value for money. I was even allowed to borrow an umbrella to get back to the hotel dry.

Since there were no subsequent reservations for the table, we were able to enjoy several rounds of drinks in a relaxed atmosphere after dinner. Lena and her colleague were very attentive throughout the evening!

Delicious food and excellent service every time! Dogs are welcome and even get water at the table! The dessert was the highlight!

I always enjoy going there. The garlic cheese fries are delicious and crispy, my favorite. The large drinks in various flavors are great. The staff is always very friendly.

Amazing atmosphere and tasty food

The usual Hans im Glück atmosphere. For my taste, it was far too loud. Although there were many servers around, our service took a long time. One burger arrived completely cold. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to complain directly, as no server seemed to take responsibility for us.

We spontaneously decided to take the kids out for burgers, and I remembered that Hans im Glück finally offers a children's menu. The kids were thrilled and couldn't stop eating, even though they were full, because the burgers were so delicious. The meal deal with a cocktail was a real bargain for me. Our waiter was also incredibly friendly and helpful. We'd definitely go back!

We were there today, and the lunch menu is listed at €7.90, but then everything is added on top, and in the end, you pay €48 for two people. That's not a lunch menu in my book. The vegan mayonnaise is slimy and tastes awful. Why vegan, anyway? Not all the burgers are vegan either. Oh well. Then there are the burger patties. If they were homemade, they would be good quality, but they just taste hard, are red, and simply not good. The fries were like they'd been fried twice in old oil. What a shame. The name "Hans im Glück" (Lucky Hans) really has potential. But today, Hans was just unlucky. And the drinks—mango, ginger, etc.—can't they be made fresh? Not all that sugary stuff in there. For the price, it's unacceptable.

Tasty food and friendly service

For me, HiG restaurants still offer some of the best burgers in the country, especially for vegetarians and vegans! The service staff is always friendly and helpful. I look forward to continuing to enjoy one or two delicious meals there every quarter.

Another great evening with delicious food! 👌 The only thing is, the benches used to be more comfortable... We were there for over three hours, and afterwards our bottoms were a little sore... 😅😉 Everything else was very nicely decorated!

We were a family of four and had reserved a table for 6:30 pm. However, we arrived at 6:15 pm, which wasn't a problem at all. The service was very friendly and accommodating to special requests. The food and drinks were delicious. All in all, a wonderful evening.

The ambiance is modern, yet very cozy – you immediately feel at home. We highly recommend this restaurant!

This place is wonderful! The food and the cocktails were great. Our food was cooked in about 10 to 15 minutes, and the service overall was awesome.

Hello, my partner and I were at your place in the valley a few days ago. I consider it an absolute no-go: paying for a burger, side, and fries within five minutes, and then asking if I enjoyed it. If I want something reheated, I can do it myself at home, and then charge a lot of money. A fresh burger takes longer than five minutes! You won't see us there again!

They brought us churros even though the kitchen was already closed. The vegetarian and vegan options are also delicious.

Every visit is delicious; the drinks are a visual eye-catcher in their own right. We've never been disappointed by the service either. We're always happy to come back. Last time, we had a falafel bowl and the chocolate cake with hot drinks.

I got a table right away without having to wait (5:00 PM). The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I personally find the ambiance very cozy and inviting. Extremely expensive. Their burgers are nothing special to justify the price on the menu. I paid 23 euros for a burger, fries and a bottle of bottled water.

My very first visit to "Hans im Glück" was in Wuppertal in 2012, and it was incredibly delicious. Since then, I've eaten at the sister restaurants in Düsseldorf and Cologne a few times, although I found the competition better over the last two years. But now I've been won over again, and this time by the Wtaler HiG, of all places!🤗 Together with a friend, we ordered from Velbert, and I was really happy to find out that it's still the same restaurant as it was 13 years ago!😳 The best thing, of course, was that it surprisingly improved my opinion (for a moment, I thought it might have been psychosomatic thinking due to nostalgia, but I doubt it, as picky as I am about food). I usually love the "Wolpetinger," but I ventured out of my comfort zone and gave another Burger a try – extremely delicious! Oh, and the "new" loaded fries were really delicious too (I almost burst)! By the way, the food arrived nice and warm. 😁

I really enjoy eating here. It's cozy, the vegan options are plentiful, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and dogs are welcome. The selection is good, the food was okay, but honestly, I think it's a bit overpriced for a burger and fries, etc., and it wasn't that tasty, even if you're paying €20 or more. Some of the burgers are overstuffed and overdone. Next time, I'll go to Burger King, pay less, and be happier somehow. But lots of other people like it, and I'm fine with that and respect it, but it's not my thing. Still, 4 stars for everything, the food and atmosphere, and 5 stars for the service.

Bowls are not good at all the salad was not fresh. I have ordered to go. The Champignons tasted like burger meat, like they don't clean properly when cooking. This way you have meat rests when you eat a vegetarian plate. Costs: too much for what the offer. 17 euros for such a bowl is too much expensive for the quality they offer.

Hans im Glück in Wuppertal is like a fairytale forest with cocktails and fries. Between the birch trunks and hipster lamps, I got a burger that was so good that for a moment I thought I had invented it myself. The waiter? Friendly like a talking deer in a Disney movie. The vegetarian burger? So delicious that even my inner carnivore briefly had an existential crisis. The cocktails? Fruity, fresh and after the second the table starts to sway. I even briefly considered moving in there - but they didn't have any rooms available, only supplements. Conclusion: Anyone who leaves here hungry has done something wrong - or accidentally bitten into the flower pot. 10 out of 10 fries stars
