The Bootshausburger is a dream. Really good with the braised onions. Slightly sweet. There was a new operator as of March 1st, 2025. We waited less than 10 minutes for our food.

I rarely rate, but here I have to and especially with FIVE stars! It was great all around, the ambience, the schnitzel, the fries and especially the mayo. I can't believe it, but I'm mentioning mayonnaise... The only compromise I have to make is with the beer, hop juice is not a matter of taste! Warstein isn’t allowed to do that! 🤣 It was really very nice, anyone who knows the boathouse from before won't recognize it. From a waffle shop to an insider tip with a really nice ambience by the water! I wish you good luck, keep it up! We'll meet Again!!!

Unfortunately only three stars. We waited an hour for our food. Simply schnitzel with fries. Unfortunately no salad. The schnitzel was as thin as a pancake, the fries were great. Staff completely overwhelmed. The location is fantastic.

We were here for the first time today. The cafe-restaurant with a terrace facing the lake, located directly on the reservoir, is a popular meeting place after a walk along the lake. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The menu is not large, but I think everyone will find something here.

The food was simply bad. The burger was brought on cold bread with a base soggy with fat, no lettuce leaf or other decoration was delivered carelessly by a completely untrained "waiter", the Viennese style schnitzel consisted of a meat-like, breaded mass that could be mashed without a knife, for 15 euros. NEVER AGAIN.

If you're lucky, get a table outside.

Cozy restaurant at the Beyenburger Stausee (Wupper) with a beautiful outdoor terrace. Good home cooking, various schnitzel dishes and delicious fish dishes are served. There are great cakes at coffee time. The staff is very attentive and quick. A great place to go after a hike.

The location is great, right on the Beyenburg reservoir with a terrace. Stopped there during our bike ride. Only taking the order and bringing the drinks took a long time. We decided against placing another order.

The order is processed promptly. We only ordered coffee and cake, but it was homemade and really tasty. The hot dishes served around us looked and smelled good. Today we spontaneously spent our evening in Café Bootshaus...it was great! The food was very tasty (we had currywurst fries, tarte flambée and fried potatoes). The service was VERY friendly and the view of the lake was free. We would love to come back ☆☆☆☆☆

We hosted our silver wedding anniversary celebration for about 25 people. The food was great, especially the schnitzels were delicious as always. A highlight was sitting outside at the dam. Despite our excitement, the staff remained calm and were very attentive. Always happy to go there!!!

After we had circled the Beyenburg reservoir we ended up here in this great ambience. Very nicely located terrace facing the water..fantastic is all I can say. It was very full but the service was very friendly and our orders came very quickly. A piece of cake and coffee was available as a special offer for €6.50...we'll be back home freshly refreshed and soon 💪 You can also make a reservation there if you want to sit outside 👍

After a long time we wanted to go to Café Bootshaus again for a schnitzel. We heard there was a change of ownership. The service on the terrace was nice and took the drinks and food orders. The drinks came promptly, as did the food. I can't imagine that the schnitzels were freshly breaded and fried during this time. Unfortunately it is no longer the same quality as the previous owner. Apart from the prices for this quality. We won't be coming back. A pity

Today very poor, disorganized service - 1/2 hour waiting time while the waitress was busy looking for seats for new guests and then quickly giving them drinks and food. It took a while until we finally got the tarte flambée, but not the drink we ordered with it. After our meal, a waitress looked for the table with the glasses, later guests announced loudly and our drinks were already taken. We made the payment and left. We actually wanted to make a reservation with friends, but we'll do that somewhere else. Table numbers/sequence might be helpful.

We had reserved for a family reunion (8 people). There was a very friendly welcome and we were assigned a very nice table. The restaurant is located right on the water and when the weather is nice you can also sit outside. We were perfectly looked after all afternoon, the cake was great, but the best thing was the currywurst with the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ sauce. Thank you for the lovely afternoon 🤗

You can sit there comfortably, eat and drink something. The curry sauce (ketchup) is not my thing, but it's a matter of taste.

We live in Beyenburg and we've been there several times but we won't come again. If the weather is good on the weekend, you have to wait 15 minutes or even longer to be served. This time after 15 minutes we asked if we could order, the friendly employee told us that she still had to process a few things and would come to us afterwards. Another 10 minutes passed. Sry, it doesn't work at all! And that wasn't the first time, what a shame!

Unfortunately, another failure. So far we have eaten at the boathouse once out of 4 visits. Unfortunately we weren't served the other times. Unfortunately, today was another one of those days. In the end we left without anyone even paying attention to us. And we didn't sit outside in the farthest corner, but inside right near the bar. We would definitely have waited a little longer, but the people at the table directly next to us who arrived some time after us were already served. Your order has been taken and you have already received your drinks and food. As I said, we weren't even noticed. Finally we decided to leave the boathouse again. Unfortunately, we know that we are definitely not the only Beyenburgers to whom this has happened several times. We always like to give multiple chances, but I think we're done here. I'm sorry. And we still have one question. Is the decoration on the tables inside for sale or why are the price tags hanging there?

Ein gut besuchtes Cafe, in dem man nicht nur Kaffee und Torten sondern auch leckere Speisen verzehren kann, mit einem überaus freundlichen und besorgten Service. Die Lage direkt am Stausee ist Spitze.

Bin seit Eröffnung immer mal wieder dort zu Gast. Super Location mit Blick auf den See...Essen ist jedoch Glückssache: Die Qualität schwankt stark. Von saftigem "XXl Schnitzel" bis drögen "Baby-Schnitzel" ist alles drin. Man weiß leider nie so genau, was auf dem Teller (oder auch als Getränk) ankommt. Bei 3/4 meiner Besuche, zumeist mit einigen Freunden, gab es Reklamationen. Sehr freundliches und bemühtes Service-Personal! Leider auch überfordert (Zuständigkeit für Tische unklar, elektronische Abrechnung funktioniert häufig nicht, Bedienung häufig erst nach mehrmaliger Ansprache). Mein Fazit: Für Qualität zahle ich auch gerne einen angemessenen Preis, in diesem Bereich ist allerdings noch einige Luft nach oben.

Eine ordentliche Auswahl an Kuchen der sehr lecker schmeckt. Die Gerichte aus der Karte lesen sich sehr gut und die Portionen sehen groß und lecker aus. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Aussicht auf den Beyenburger Stausee gefällt mir sehr gut und man kann die Zeit genießen. Kann ich nur empfehlen.
