German cuisine taken to a higher level!! Definitely recommended for people who enjoy good food. The choice on the menu is rather limited, but that means that the dishes can be prepared with great care (*). The plate arrangement is beautiful and it tastes delicious! Moreover, everything is served in a casual atmosphere with super friendly service. We enjoyed!!! Just put on a very critical lens... Why not 5 stars? This is a restaurant that clearly wants to take a step higher, is certainly a step higher, but in my opinion is not quite there yet. Some flavors don't quite fit together (e.g. the eclaire with pistachio and espresso ice cream was delicious, but the red fruit coulis with it? Not a match in my opinion. The trout starter was super tasty, but the taste of the trout was somewhat outweighed by the delicious taste of the sauce.) My opinion, I base it on previous experiences, I am not an expert and certainly not a professional!! The kitchen staff is relatively young, I see potential and believe that this restaurant can put itself on the culinary map. I look forward to eating here again in the future. Very curious... (*) ps: Many high-quality restaurants have a fixed menu, so the limited menu is certainly not a disadvantage! Daring to choose makes room for tasty dishes and a beautiful presentation!

Hier läuft‘s einfach! Wirtsleute, die wissen, wie Gastronomie funktioniert - omnipräsent, aufmerksam, freundlich! Wahnsinn - genauso geht’s! Dazu eine urige Location, gutes Bier vom Fass und schmackhaftes Essen, üppig bemessen. Tolle Senfsuppe, köstliches Schnitzel mit Monschauer Senfsauce, dazu mit die besten Pommes, die ich je gegessen habe. DER „Place to be“ in Monschau - hätte ich das vorher gewusst, hätte ich gleich für den zweiten Abend auch noch reserviert.., Macht weiter so, Marco und Jacqueline - Ihr könnt es einfach!

Wir waren aufgrund der guten Rezensionen in der Laufenbach Stube. Bestellt hatten wir den Rinderbraten mit Klößen und Rotkohl. Gut bürgerlich, viel falsch machen kann man da nicht, so dachten wir zumindest. Was wir bekommen haben waren 2 trockene Scheiben Rinderbraten, überdeckt mit einer geschmacklosen recht glibbrigen schwarzen Soße. Die guten fertigen “Pfanni Knödel” aus der Tüte und Rotkohl aus dem Glas hatten auch noch Platz auf dem Teller gefunden. Geschmacklich weit entfernt von frischem leckerem gut bürgerlichen Essen, eigentlich eher gar kein Geschmack. Leider hatten wir nach einem anstrengendem Tag riesigen Hunger, der es dann letztendlich auch reingetrieben hat. Viel mehr kann man dazu leider nicht sagen. Woher die 4 1/2 Sterne und die vielen guten Rezensionen herkommen lässt sich nicht wirklich erklären, vielleicht von der in der Tat sehr freundlichen Bedienung. Vielleicht haben wir einen schlechten Tag in der Küche erwischt. Wiederkommen würden wir allerdings nicht. Schade.

Rarely have I had such a good burger at an absolutely unbeatable price. The burger doesn't really need any side dishes because it's so huge...unbelievable. Absolutely juicy and everything freshly prepared, you can taste it...keep it up. The staff is super on the ball and very friendly. We'd love to come back😊

Summary: a lovely evening, in a nice atmosphere with delicious food... in detail: we were in the restaurant an hour before closing time on a Tuesday evening, we had already clarified in advance that we could bring our medium-sized dog with us, a table reservation was not necessary due to the number of guests in the off-season. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted warmly and had a free choice of seats in the cozy dining room We ordered grilled plates and Muckalica, each main course was preceded by a side salad plate from the lavish salad buffet, there were four dressings to choose from, the vinegar and oil marinade of our choice was delicious, and the salad was crisp and fresh despite our late visit The food was served very friendly and quickly, both dishes were extremely tasty, the question was whether everything was ok. Therefore, it could only be answered with “yes, very good”. Payment was possible in cash or by card, Monschau has many restaurants to offer, but Haus Flora is definitely worth a visit

great service at this cosy restaurant. food is great too. the hunter’s schnitzel with mustard sauce is excellent. got to try the mustard in this region. cash only, but the price is extremely good for a touristy place.

simple, good country restaurant

No, not recommend The staff were friendly, and the restaurant was cozy enough. But the food… I was served a reheated steak, and it was very salty. Yes, you can eat here to survive—but if you’re looking to truly enjoy your meal and walk away thinking “Yes, that was a great dinner,” this isn’t the place. It’s also quite pricey for what it is. A glass of tap water for €3.20 felt over the top. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it.
