Alte MOLKEREI Höfen in Monschau

Es ist ein schönes Ambiente dort. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, aber leider fast nur am Handy. Leider war das Essen nicht wirklich gut, geschmacklich eher eine 4/10. Portionen waren eine 6/10. Wir werden das Lokal nicht mehr Besuchen. 3 von 4 Leuten hatten nach dem Besuch mit Magenschmerzen zutun & das nach 1. Stunde nach dem Essen.

Gute großzügige Portionen , sehr lecker und freundliches Personal

Am Sonntag eine sensationelle Portion Spargel mit gehackten Ei und Butter, einem richtig tollen Schnitzel (mit klassischen Schmetterlingsschnitt), und Drillingen (auf Grill gegart) mit separater Butter. Ein gesamtes Gericht, welches eine Kathedrale in meinem Gaumen aufbaute. Vielen Dank an die Küche für ein unvergessliches Sonntagsessen. Begleitet wurde das ganze von einem sehr freundlichen Serviceteams. An den Hochtischen im Thekenbereich konnte ich Dorfleben live (wieder-)erleben, was diesen Sonntagmittag unvergesslich macht. Tolles Restaurant, freundliches Personal und äußerst lecker. Alles so wie es sein soll. …. Übrigens, auch tolle Gäste.

Nach meiner Tour im Nationalpark habe ich hier einen fantastischen Cheeseburger gegessen – er hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen! Roman ist unglaublich hilfsbereit, ein großes Lob an das Management!

Hier gibt es hauptsächlich Schnitzel oder Steak, und das Essen war gut. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Das Gebäude sieht von außen hübsch und alt aus, innen ist es eher modern und nicht besonders gemütlich. Hinten gibt es eine Terrasse mit Blick auf einen grünen Garten mit einer Rutsche für Kinder.

Wir haben zuerst einen Spaziergang gemacht und sind dann hierhergekommen, um etwas zu essen. Wir waren zu früh für unseren Termin (ich hatte vorher gefragt, ob das in Ordnung sei), und das wurde uns auch deutlich zu verstehen gegeben. Mit einem langen Gesicht wies uns der Barkeeper schließlich einen Tisch zu, aber wir wurden die ersten fünfzehn Minuten komplett ignoriert, bis wir selbst nach der Speisekarte fragten. Die Gäste neben uns, die später kamen, bekamen sofort eine Speisekarte, genauso wie die vor uns. Es wurde auch über uns getuschelt, weil wir zu früh waren (unglaublich!). Danach wurden wir von einer jungen Dame freundlich bedient, was die Atmosphäre deutlich verbesserte. Der Salat war lecker und frisch. Das Schnitzel war leider nicht frisch zubereitet, sondern aufgewärmt und matschig. Es war sogar schon nach wenigen Minuten kalt. Leider nicht empfehlenswert. Es herrscht eine angespannte Atmosphäre, obwohl das Lokal gar nicht so groß ist.

Ich bestellte ein absolut köstliches Schnitzel mit gebratenen Champignons und Senfsauce. Kleine, gute und frische Salatbar. Schneller und freundlicher Service.

Die Schnitzel waren zuvor tiefgefroren und schmeckten überhaupt nicht.

Das Essen war okay, aber kein Highlight. Der Wein mit 7,50 Euro relativ teuer. In der Sitzniesche im Thekenbereich wurde es recht laut, weil sich dort im Laufe des Abends eine Vielzahl Jugendlicher getroffen hat, zu denen sich dann auch die jungen Bedienungen dazu gesellt haben. Damit war auch deren Aufmerksamkeit in Bezug auf andere Gäste abgelenkt. Für einen gemütlichen Klön-Abend ist das Restaurant definitiv zu hellhörig. Pluspunkt: Bei gutem Wetter sitzt man schön draußen im Grünen.

Leider keine Empfehlung. Hab das Championrahmschnitzel zurück gegeben, weil es nicht durch war.Habe zwar ein komplett Neues bekommen, welches aber auch nicht toll war. Sauce ohne Geschmack,Schnitzel TK -Ware und die Pommes waren auch nicht durch oder gesalzen. Der Service war gut und das Ambiente ist Ok. Leider kann man nicht für die Gemütlichkeit einkehren, sondern muss sich auf Stress einstellen. Alles in Allem, Trinken ja(an der Theke), Essen nein.

Die Alte Molkerei ist ein gemütliches Restaurant. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, hält sich aber dezent im Hintergrund. Der Umgang untereinander macht einen entspannten Einsruck auch wenn viel los ist. Am Wochenende ist eine Reservierung ratsam, wenn man mit einer größeren Gruppe hier einkehren will. Das Essen ist lecker, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Der selbgebackene Kuchen ist sehr empfehlenswert!

Das erste mal bei euch zu Gast gewesen, nach der Narzissen Wanderung bei schönstem Wetter. Kaffee und Kuchen mit Eis einfach spitze. Freundlichkeit und Bedingung top und freundlich. Komme gerne wieder. ... und gestern wieder nach einer Wanderung bei euch eingekehrt. Ich kann es immer nur wiederholen. Immer Schön, draußen auf der Terrasse bei gutem Wetter. Ich freue mich immer wieder in und um Monschau zu sein um bei euch eingekehrt.

Könnte mehr Auswahl sein z.b. Hähchenfleisch aber da denkt ja jeder anders drüber. Biergarten top und kommen auch wieder.

Nun ja, die Beurteilung von uns 4 fiel unterschiedlich aus. Der Backfisch war bei 2 Personen wohl gut (es kamen keine Maulereien), bei einem Backfisch war die Panade " nicht durch" (???) Mein Cordon Bleu war gut, die dazu bestellten Bratkartoffeln waren wohl schon vorgefettigt (sorry vorgefertigt), aber sehr fettig. Nun ja, mir hat es geschmeckt, aber es gibt Verbesserungspotential.

Gemütliches Lokal! Große Auswahl an gutbürgerlicher Küche! Reservierung empfehlenswert.

Ein tolles Restaurant in der Eifel. Es liegt direkt am Wanderweg, einfach fantastisch.

Nach über 10 Jahren sind wir zum Essen noch mal eingekehrt. Leider waren wir gegenüber früher vom Essen enttäuscht. Wir waren zu viert und haben uns den selbst ernannten Klassiker Bestellt, Molkerei schnitzel und hatten uns gewundert wie schnell die auf dem Tisch waren. Es war Tk Fleisch was wir so von dort nicht kannten und auch nicht erwartet hatten.

Sehr freundlicher Service. Auch Extrawünsche werden erfüllt. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.

Hallo zusammen , wir sind nach einer schönen Schiffsfahrt in Einruhr hungrig von Bord gegangen. Auf Google Maps haben wir uns ein Restaurant gesucht wo man gut essen könnte.. dann haben uns für dieses Restaurant entschieden. Nach eine kurzen Fahrt sind wir in dieses Restaurant angekommen Ambiente war ganz gut und die Erwartungen waren hoch .. wir haben uns für den Klassiker entschieden (das Molkerei Schnitzel für 22,50€ ) Nach nicht mal 15min sind die Gerichte angekommen .. Schnitzel war leider sehr sehr sehr enttäuschend da es ein fertiges TK Schnitzel ist.. die Senf Soße war ganz lecker .. der Salat dazu war auch ganz gut ... im großem ganzen .. kein Highlight...

war dort und es war ziemlich leer und das Essen war wirklich schlecht, die Pasta schmeckte, als wäre sie in der Mikrowelle zubereitet worden und das Schweinefleisch war sehr trocken, obwohl sie sagten, dass das Schweinefleisch so sein sollte

The food was delicious. The side salad was finally cut into bite-sized pieces, and thankfully I couldn't find any iceberg lettuce. I can highly recommend the Alte Molkerei.

The prices are veeeery steep. I think the cappuccino cost €4.50, and it came from a fully automatic machine. The waitress was great and super fast :)

Great place for a simple but tasty bite to eat.

Small but nice. We were there for several hours with six people. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. Unfortunately, they ran out of dessert. Parking is very limited in front of the restaurant, but there's a parking space 50 meters further on the right, along a hedge (though there's a charge). A little tip: when we were there, the outside was full due to the nice weather. So it's best to make a reservation.

During our entertaining vacation in Monschau, we stumbled upon this restaurant. We were treated to very, very friendly service and excellent food – THANK YOU!!!

This wasn't our first time at the Alte Molkerei. The young man serving was very friendly. I ordered a salad with scampi. The scampi were okay. But it was mostly green leaf lettuce and there was too much dressing. It would be better to serve the dressing separately so everyone can measure it to their liking. And a little variety wouldn't hurt either.

We were looking for a nice restaurant on Friday after a hospital visit. We found a nice place: The Old Dairy! The food was great and the seating was nice. The service was very attentive and friendly. We'd love to go again!

We come here regularly and with pleasure when we are traveling in the Eifel. The food is always great and the service is friendly and attentive. In summer the terrace outside is a highlight.

We drove past the old dairy so often. It looks so beautiful and cozy from the outside. Finally, about 3 weeks ago, we managed to put our plan into action and the four of us visited the restaurant full of anticipation. Parking spaces were very rare. We were disappointed upon arrival. The acoustics were like a train station hall. Maybe we were just unlucky with the bowling clubs present that evening, but we didn't understand our own words and it was just stressful. The selection of dishes is quite manageable. Not a bad sign in itself, as I assume the food is good for it. Unfortunately, this expectation could not be fulfilled. A dish was served with the wrong sauce. However, due to the busy activity, we accepted this in silence so as not to have to wait any longer for a new preparation. Otherwise the food was okay, but nothing special. The staff was nice, but after waiting a while we went to the counter to order more drinks. All in all: a real shame, but nothing speaks for another visit.

A place to recover from the climb.

With a group of six adults + 1 child, we were not allowed to put two tables together. Apparently too much stress for the service (even if we would have done it ourselves🤷🏻‍♂️). Clear. After all, there were a total of two guests in the restaurant... there's a lot to do. Too bad, then we left again. We didn't want to sit in two individual groups. Maybe you'll reconsider your table policy. It’s certainly also beneficial for sales 😉

We would like to share with you our feedback on our last visit to the Alte Molkerei. We have visited this location many times and have always been impressed by the excellent cuisine. The atmosphere and the quality of the food always motivated us to return. Unfortunately, we have to report that our last visit was marred by an unpleasant incident. During our stay, we had the impression that the waiter was secretly taking photos of us and other guests out of boredom. It was very unpleasant to notice that someone responsible for the service displayed such unprofessional behavior. When we asked him about it, he was unable to explain himself properly and instead made excuses. This disappointed us greatly and greatly affected the pleasant experience we had with the Alte Dairy. Because of this negative experience, we have decided not to visit the Alte Molkerei in the future. It's unfortunate because we have many fond memories of your restaurant and really appreciate the quality of your food. We hope you take this feedback seriously and take appropriate action to ensure such incidents do not occur in the future.

Nice place to stop for a break during a hike

The restaurant is very clean and cozy, the food is very tasty and fresh, the service is friendly and quick. Overall a good experience. If you're in Höfen and you're a little hungry, you've come to the right place. The cloudy Eifler Landbier is also very tasty.

Yesterday we went on a hike in the Perlbachtal with my wife. Afterwards at 12:30 we wanted to eat and drink something here. A young lady who was busy with her cell phone said when I asked if it was open, otherwise she probably wouldn't have come in. Aha? We chose a table outside. In the meantime, the lady was just busy with her cell phone. After about 5-6 minutes she handed us a card without saying a word and went back to her cell phone. After another 10 minutes on the cell phone, we got up and said goodbye. She briefly raised her head and asked if we wanted to go. I told her how disappointed I was and told her that it wasn't right and that I couldn't recommend it locally. She didn't care, she wished us a nice day and went back to her phone. It's a shame for such a beautiful location.

We had dinner there with four people. The service was very good and the drinks and food came quickly. The food was average although unfortunately there were few options for vegetarians. In terms of price it was very reasonable for food + drink you pay around 20€

I've never had such a good gooseberry cake and I haven't had such a good cappuccino in years!! And I come around... In addition, a very nice service staff and an attractive atmosphere, at least for drinking coffee in the afternoon. Absolutely recommended!

Sonnige Terrasse, die leider eng gestellte Tische hat. Bedienung etwas planlos und unaufmerksam. Wir hatten Eiskaffee, doch den sollte man nicht nehmen. Der Kaffee schmeckte nicht, er war nicht gesüßt und wir haben das Eis nicht gefunden.
