Small but nice. We were there for several hours with six people. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. Unfortunately, they ran out of dessert. Parking is very limited in front of the restaurant, but there's a parking space 50 meters further on the right, along a hedge (though there's a charge). A little tip: when we were there, the outside was full due to the nice weather. So it's best to make a reservation.

During our entertaining vacation in Monschau, we stumbled upon this restaurant. We were treated to very, very friendly service and excellent food – THANK YOU!!!

This wasn't our first time at the Alte Molkerei. The young man serving was very friendly. I ordered a salad with scampi. The scampi were okay. But it was mostly green leaf lettuce and there was too much dressing. It would be better to serve the dressing separately so everyone can measure it to their liking. And a little variety wouldn't hurt either.

We were looking for a nice restaurant on Friday after a hospital visit. We found a nice place: The Old Dairy! The food was great and the seating was nice. The service was very attentive and friendly. We'd love to go again!

We come here regularly and with pleasure when we are traveling in the Eifel. The food is always great and the service is friendly and attentive. In summer the terrace outside is a highlight.

We drove past the old dairy so often. It looks so beautiful and cozy from the outside. Finally, about 3 weeks ago, we managed to put our plan into action and the four of us visited the restaurant full of anticipation. Parking spaces were very rare. We were disappointed upon arrival. The acoustics were like a train station hall. Maybe we were just unlucky with the bowling clubs present that evening, but we didn't understand our own words and it was just stressful. The selection of dishes is quite manageable. Not a bad sign in itself, as I assume the food is good for it. Unfortunately, this expectation could not be fulfilled. A dish was served with the wrong sauce. However, due to the busy activity, we accepted this in silence so as not to have to wait any longer for a new preparation. Otherwise the food was okay, but nothing special. The staff was nice, but after waiting a while we went to the counter to order more drinks. All in all: a real shame, but nothing speaks for another visit.

A place to recover from the climb.

With a group of six adults + 1 child, we were not allowed to put two tables together. Apparently too much stress for the service (even if we would have done it ourselves🤷🏻‍♂️). Clear. After all, there were a total of two guests in the restaurant... there's a lot to do. Too bad, then we left again. We didn't want to sit in two individual groups. Maybe you'll reconsider your table policy. It’s certainly also beneficial for sales 😉

We would like to share with you our feedback on our last visit to the Alte Molkerei. We have visited this location many times and have always been impressed by the excellent cuisine. The atmosphere and the quality of the food always motivated us to return. Unfortunately, we have to report that our last visit was marred by an unpleasant incident. During our stay, we had the impression that the waiter was secretly taking photos of us and other guests out of boredom. It was very unpleasant to notice that someone responsible for the service displayed such unprofessional behavior. When we asked him about it, he was unable to explain himself properly and instead made excuses. This disappointed us greatly and greatly affected the pleasant experience we had with the Alte Dairy. Because of this negative experience, we have decided not to visit the Alte Molkerei in the future. It's unfortunate because we have many fond memories of your restaurant and really appreciate the quality of your food. We hope you take this feedback seriously and take appropriate action to ensure such incidents do not occur in the future.

Nice place to stop for a break during a hike

The restaurant is very clean and cozy, the food is very tasty and fresh, the service is friendly and quick. Overall a good experience. If you're in Höfen and you're a little hungry, you've come to the right place. The cloudy Eifler Landbier is also very tasty.

Yesterday we went on a hike in the Perlbachtal with my wife. Afterwards at 12:30 we wanted to eat and drink something here. A young lady who was busy with her cell phone said when I asked if it was open, otherwise she probably wouldn't have come in. Aha? We chose a table outside. In the meantime, the lady was just busy with her cell phone. After about 5-6 minutes she handed us a card without saying a word and went back to her cell phone. After another 10 minutes on the cell phone, we got up and said goodbye. She briefly raised her head and asked if we wanted to go. I told her how disappointed I was and told her that it wasn't right and that I couldn't recommend it locally. She didn't care, she wished us a nice day and went back to her phone. It's a shame for such a beautiful location.

We had dinner there with four people. The service was very good and the drinks and food came quickly. The food was average although unfortunately there were few options for vegetarians. In terms of price it was very reasonable for food + drink you pay around 20€

Sonnige Terrasse, die leider eng gestellte Tische hat. Bedienung etwas planlos und unaufmerksam. Wir hatten Eiskaffee, doch den sollte man nicht nehmen. Der Kaffee schmeckte nicht, er war nicht gesüßt und wir haben das Eis nicht gefunden.

We've been there several times. Always nice. But the prices have risen sharply here too, which is a shame. Soon everything will just be luxury that men can't always afford.

Shameless waitress named Julia! When we asked if we were allowed to sit at a table for two that had just become available, the answer was "No, it is reserved and my husband and I were assigned a small table right at the counter. Five minutes later two people came into the restaurant without one Reservation and they asked if they were allowed to sit at the free table we wanted, which Julia also allowed. When we asked Julia why the people were allowed to sit at the table we wanted without a reservation, she said she We now had other problems and better things to do, so we immediately put down our food and left the restaurant. As she walked out she laughed arrogantly and wished us a nice day! With guests at the bar, Julia loudly gossiped in a derogatory manner about her colleague who had not shown up, with whom she had had an argument the previous evening. She should definitely rethink all of her inappropriate behavior towards colleagues and guests.

Essen gut, Service freundlich, Ambiente ok. Preis-Leistung sehr gut. Man merkt, dass die Gerichte zur schnellen Fertigstellung vorbereitet sind. Trotzdem lecker und preislich fair.

Tolles Essen und gute Bedienung.

Das Ambiente ist recht gemütlich. Modern aber trotzdem warm. Der Service des jungen Personals ist sehr gut und zuvorkommend. Leider ist das Essen zu 100% Convenience Produkt. Speisen für 8 Personen, die nach nicht mal 10 Minuten fertig sind, sprechen da Bände. Fleisch (Schnitzel), Soßen sowie Kroketten kommen alle samt aus der Packung. Ebenso die Salatsoße. Sorry, Tüten aufreißen hat mit kochen nichts zutun und ist eine Schande für alle gelernten Köche die ihr Handwerk verstehen. Wer fast food haben will, kann genauso gut zuhause das Essen aus der Packung warm machen. Wer dabei Service haben will und das Essen nicht selber warm machen will, geht hier essen. Sehr schade

Das Essen war wirklich lecker. Bei Sonnenschein draußen zu sitzen war toll, ABER ich habe gegessen und ausgetrunken und vergeblich versucht die Kellnerin auf mich aufmerksam zu machen. Das Essen war gegessen und es dauerte geschlagene 45 Minuten, bis ich ein weiteres Getränk bestellen konnte. Gleich dazu habe ich die Rechnung erbeten und musste weitere 45 Minuten warten und zusehen wie andere Gäste zahlten. Ich habe dann einen Kollegen der Kellnerin gebeten, bei ihm bezahlen zu können, denn die junge Kellnerin reagiert nicht auf mein Handzeichen. Nach Hinweis an den anderen Kellner dauerte es nochmal 10 Minuten. Alle waren freundlich aber das war schon etwas anstrengend. Ich erwarte eigentlich einen offenen und aufmerksamen Blick um die Gäste gut im Auge zu haben. Den Nachbartischen ging es im übrigen genauso.

Das beste Hähnchenbrustfilet was ich jemals gegessen habe, saftig und gut gewürzt. Pommes waren kross. Salat ein Genuss für Auge und Geschmack. Der Eiskaffee absolute spitze, sehr mild und sehr bekömmlich. Ambiente einladend, Innenbereich klimatisiert. Service sehr aufmerksam, jedoch nicht aufdringlich. Schöne Aussicht auf Terrasse, verkehrsberuhigt. Die Toiletten sind im Keller.
