German cuisine taken to a higher level!! Definitely recommended for people who enjoy good food. The choice on the menu is rather limited, but that means that the dishes can be prepared with great care (*). The plate arrangement is beautiful and it tastes delicious! Moreover, everything is served in a casual atmosphere with super friendly service. We enjoyed!!! Just put on a very critical lens... Why not 5 stars? This is a restaurant that clearly wants to take a step higher, is certainly a step higher, but in my opinion is not quite there yet. Some flavors don't quite fit together (e.g. the eclaire with pistachio and espresso ice cream was delicious, but the red fruit coulis with it? Not a match in my opinion. The trout starter was super tasty, but the taste of the trout was somewhat outweighed by the delicious taste of the sauce.) My opinion, I base it on previous experiences, I am not an expert and certainly not a professional!! The kitchen staff is relatively young, I see potential and believe that this restaurant can put itself on the culinary map. I look forward to eating here again in the future. Very curious... (*) ps: Many high-quality restaurants have a fixed menu, so the limited menu is certainly not a disadvantage! Daring to choose makes room for tasty dishes and a beautiful presentation!

You can eat well! Good citizen! Nice atmosphere! In summer, outside on the terrace with a beautiful view!

A promise is a promise 😉 Always extremely friendly staff... the salad bar is fresh and well stocked... the dishes we ate there after our excursions were always fresh, very tasty and plentiful... Today it was a grilled plate, very tasty, well seasoned and with crispy fries and salad... Highly recommended and please don't be put off by the construction site - the hot station is easy to reach from both directions👍

Leuke zaak, gezellige eigenaren! Wij moesten even wachten omdat alles bezet was maar dat was prima. Drankje aan de bar was zeker niet vervelend. Daarna gegeten, heerlijke schnitzel, goeie friet en lekker koud biertje. Toptent!

Wir waren aufgrund der guten Rezensionen in der Laufenbach Stube. Bestellt hatten wir den Rinderbraten mit Klößen und Rotkohl. Gut bürgerlich, viel falsch machen kann man da nicht, so dachten wir zumindest. Was wir bekommen haben waren 2 trockene Scheiben Rinderbraten, überdeckt mit einer geschmacklosen recht glibbrigen schwarzen Soße. Die guten fertigen “Pfanni Knödel” aus der Tüte und Rotkohl aus dem Glas hatten auch noch Platz auf dem Teller gefunden. Geschmacklich weit entfernt von frischem leckerem gut bürgerlichen Essen, eigentlich eher gar kein Geschmack. Leider hatten wir nach einem anstrengendem Tag riesigen Hunger, der es dann letztendlich auch reingetrieben hat. Viel mehr kann man dazu leider nicht sagen. Woher die 4 1/2 Sterne und die vielen guten Rezensionen herkommen lässt sich nicht wirklich erklären, vielleicht von der in der Tat sehr freundlichen Bedienung. Vielleicht haben wir einen schlechten Tag in der Küche erwischt. Wiederkommen würden wir allerdings nicht. Schade.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Haus Flora in Monschau and can highly recommend this restaurant. The combination of Croatian and German cuisine offers a varied menu that leaves nothing to be desired. The dishes are of the highest quality, and the portions are generous. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly service, whose warm demeanor makes the stay even more pleasant. All in all, a wonderful culinary experience in Monschau!

Nice people, quiet on Friday around 5:30 PM. Fast service and the food was good too.

A place to recover from the climb.

Eifelstübchen is a charming family business that I recently visited and I was really impressed. The food was delicious and the daily menu featured a fantastic main course of soup, chips and salad. I was particularly impressed by the schnitzel with the moonshine mustard sauce - simply outstanding! Everything was fresh and lovingly prepared for each guest. It was even possible to hear the sounds from the kitchen while the chef was preparing the schnitzels. The fries were fresh and not from the freezer, and the meat was top quality. Not only is the quality convincing, but the price is also very fair for what is on offer. You definitely get excellent value for money here. All in all, I can only warmly recommend the Eifelstübchen.

simple, good country restaurant

Like almost all restaurants in Monschau's old town, it is getting old. The service was quick. The food okay. The salad dressing only tasted like water. And the bowl of fries for three people was a bit too little. The salmon with mustard sauce tasted very good.

Very nice and courteous staff. Clean local, fresh food. We'd love to come back.
