Very friendly team, short, crisp menu, everything freshly and deliciously prepared. The room was clean, not "over-renovated" and exudes a pleasantly nostalgic charm.

Very tasty vegetarian burger (unfortunately the fries are becoming less and less every year), relatively friendly staff. Unfortunately, the operators can't do anything for the arrogantly staring visitors to the port authority, but unfortunately they sometimes come across as snobby.

We just wanted to try out the Buhne XI again after many years. The quite high prices gave hope for good things. We had reserved a table for two in the evening. We arrived, the table was reserved, the service was quite friendly. The menu was ready. Unfortunately there is no paper map for the rest. We then asked each other around. The drinks came very quickly, as did the food afterwards. There is praise for that. However, the dripping wet glasses (beer and wine) seemed a bit strange. Maybe that's a quality feature. I would have preferred them dry. We ordered fried cod and pike fillet, each with fried potatoes and some salad. So the fried potatoes were heavily overrepresented on the plate. I would have preferred a little more fish for the price. The fried potatoes went like this. Unfortunately, quite a few of them were very cross. The cod was OK but the pike was not. Yes, pike can be a bit boney. But I expect a little more knowledge from a fish restaurant. I just expected that and was really looking forward to the fish and a nice evening. Pike can also be prepared in such a way that the bones are kept to a minimum. It starts with the size of the fish. And if the fish is bought already filleted, then you should pay a little more attention to the goods when purchasing. The goal should be to satisfy the guest… so that they might come back or report on their good experiences. We weren't happy today and in my opinion the food wasn't worth the price. When the waitress asked if everything was OK and I raised the problem of the pike fillet, he simply said that fish can have bones. This is known. Thanks. So we ate fried potatoes and fish differently. With a little sensitivity for the guest, one could have reacted differently to save the situation. Ultimately, the service cannot reflect the quality of the cuisine. Maybe that's not necessary as long as the stage is and continues to be well attended. Unfortunately we won't be back anytime soon. Too bad. But please let everyone decide for themselves...

Mathias Schilling has hit the nerve again and opened another great restaurant/café. Lovely atmosphere, delicious dishes. In terms of price, Hiddensee is always more expensive than far away from the island, that should be clear to anyone who goes to Hiddensee. We thank you for lovely coffee hours in the sun.

The Buoy was one of our favorite restaurants in Neuendorf for many years. It was tasty here, the service was friendly, the atmosphere was rustic, and the prices were reasonable. What we had to experience now in the off-season is absolutely outrageous: the waitress snidely tells uninitiated guests not to even look around for seats because only those who have reserved are allowed to stay anyway. Anyone who has learned from this rebuff and therefore sits at a table looks after those who leave disappointed, almost with a guilty conscience. But the kicker: you now have to shell out almost 27 euros for most fish dishes! The composition of the various dishes only differs in one thing: the type of fish. Otherwise, on all plates there are the same limp, greasy, warmed-up fried potatoes with plenty of bacon and a “salad” as a side dish, which was mainly canned. Price and performance are miles apart. We quickly agreed not to accept this unprecedented outrage a second time.

Hospitality with a difference: If you couldn't get it in New York, Geneva or Singapore, you can get it here - the bratwurst for 10 euros. It should be served a stone's throw from the Dornbusch lighthouse in a completely concept-free room. Far away from nature - without views, without art, without tradition - surrounded by a functional area for the purpose of eating - without any distractions - prepared for the big rush of bratwurst connoisseurs. July doesn't seem to be the season for bratwurst or the word hasn't gotten around yet. After a long wait in the purist brewery interior, I ventured into the interior, where employees disguised as guests refused to take our orders and asked us to keep waiting. We waited with great excitement to see what the sausage would be like, but no one came. As we came from the Dornbuch lighthouse we left: thirsty and hungry. This really interesting and very bold concept gets a real Michelin star from me.

We ate very well prepared fish there a few times, nicely presented and simply delicious. Very large portion and everything fresh. The slightly older waitress was friendly and kind, which is certainly not always easy given the crowds. Thank you very much, we'll be back!
