So the food was good, great shop with great products, self-service takes away a bit of the atmosphere with the queues but there is no deduction because of the 50 minute waiting time for matjes, bismarck and fish and chips.

Super delicious food and friendly staff. You should reserve in advance.

Well, there are probably nicer places on Hiddensee. Here, a hefty price is charged for the rickety, not really well-maintained atmosphere (rhubarb spritzer e.g. €7.50! or lentil soup for €14...etc.). Overall, the service staff tried very hard, but even though it wasn't full, we waited longer than 20 minutes for the drinks. In any case, the price-performance ratio is not right. Since we're on vacation, it didn't matter to us ;-) But in retrospect we would have preferred to go somewhere else.

It's also a great, relaxed, family-friendly "haven" for food and drink. The food is delicious and fresh, the atmosphere is hospitable and relaxed, and creates a huge holiday feeling. People-watching, enjoying the view, sometimes the peace and quiet, sometimes the hustle and bustle, and all age groups feel at home, always happy to come back. The staff are relaxed, confident, and always friendly.

Review is about the restaurant: Long waiting times. Not only getting a table but also waiting for the food to arrive. The food is rather below average, even bad for the price (25-35 euros for the main course). Also that in 2025 there will be no card reader, on an island that might have an ATM 8km away... I don't know. This could all be better.

We stopped here for lunch. My friend ordered a hot dog (~8€) and I ordered baked potatoes with stremella salmon (~15€). For dessert we ordered pancakes with blueberries (~9€) and vanilla sauce. The hot dog was quite small and didn't really fill you up. Lots of ketchup, two slices of cucumber and a few fried onions. We would have expected more for the price. The stremella salmon had a rather small piece of salmon, a large baked potato with a bit of green and a lot of sauce. A better deal than the hot dog, but not really good either. But the pancakes were just cheeky, four smallest pancakes (~5cm in diameter). They weren't bad in terms of taste, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio simply doesn't work here.

Bad-tempered service, no thanks for tips and a scary toilet.
