Unfortunately it doesn't live up to expectations. Fried potatoes were not edible and the fish was drowned in the sauce. Unfortunately, the prices for the dishes are overpriced. Simply too much for 115€ for 4 people. Tip eat better on the ship, better and cheaper.

Great restaurant, very nice service and delicious food

Great location, nice atmosphere. Staff quick and very friendly. The main courses we ordered from the rather large menu were very tasty. Everything fits so far... BUT: In our opinion, the price-performance ratio has some problems. To say 7.50 for a 0.5 cola is a bit cheeky. And to charge 7.90 for 1 piece of baked Camembert, which comes from those unspeakable packs of 4 from the discount store and is fried quickly, you need a lot of imagination to justify the price... We stayed at Buhne 11 based on a recommendation. Unfortunately, for the reasons mentioned above, we were only partially satisfied!

I passed stage XI by chance. After a short wait I got a table even without a reservation. The waiters were very friendly. The card was on a board or was given electronically via a QR code. The food was good but not exceptional. The portion (Baltic Sea plaice) was really very large. The ambience and the location directly in the dunes are great. Card payment is no problem.

The eel and plaice are good. However, it is a bit too expensive.

We came across Buhne XI on our way to the beach on vacation. We particularly liked the atmosphere, rustic, smoky, pub-style. ;) The food was delicious, the staff was nice and smart. :) We would love to come back next time we visit the island. :)

We love the ambience. The Hamburger Schnitzel was delicious. The starter was also tasty. Yesterday we had a Swedish ice cream sundae, which was the best on the island. We would love to come back so we can try the other dishes too.

We ate there yesterday and were very disappointed. The salad consisted only of iceberg, a piece of tomato, canned corn and canned beans. The yogurt sauce came from a ready-made package. The fish was okay, but not great. Staff often cursed and seemed stressed. The almost illegible board was placed at the table. We were informed that we absolutely had to make reservations in the future. Even our twelve-year-old daughter immediately liked the fact that the schnitzel sauce came out of the package only mixed. We found it outrageous to pay 7.50 euros for 0.5 liters of cola. Since there was no drinks menu, we weren't aware of this beforehand. Our mistake, we could have asked beforehand. So for us the price-performance ratio is absolutely not right! Prices are unreasonable for the quality of the food!

Service and maritime flair were good, as was the location, unfortunately the food couldn't keep up. Overall, it was rather bland, the plaice was ok, the fried potatoes were unfortunately unseasoned and the schnitzel was not breaded and fried. Overall ok, but unfortunately not anymore.

This is where unmotivated service, excessive prices, unimaginative preparation and mediocre quality come together.

We have been going to Hiddensee for years and always visit the groyne. This time total disappointment. The lentil stew turned out to be canned soup, and pretty bad too. That will be 15!! Euro called. If they don't feel like it anymore, they should stop.

Really very very expensive and not really recommended! Frozen cake from the microwave, large amounts of water bubbled up from the tap, service extremely educational... you come straight from the beach on half a dune of sand in front of the entrance and are warned that you should put on shoes on the terrace! Well, everyone can test it for themselves!

I had dinner there today. I had previously read reviews like it was the best restaurant on Hiddensee, but unfortunately I didn't notice much about it. I had a Hamburg schnitzel, the fried potatoes were actually good, the rest left something to be desired, egg instead of a fried egg that was slightly burnt, the schnitzel appeared to be a ready-made schnitzel and the salad was not washed or not washed thoroughly. The staff was slightly overwhelmed and they always complained when they were there. I found the price for a 0.5 Cola cheeky, €7.50 is quite cheeky.

The restaurant is beautifully located behind the dike and between meadows with horses. Very nice owner and above all very good food. We recommend the green herring with fried potatoes and the sea buckthorn wine.

The food was very tasty and filling. Despite the price, ready-made sauces etc. are sometimes used. Unfortunately, the waitress was aggressive towards the children by handing out parenting tips without being asked, and overall was rather unfriendly and didactic. I find it unacceptable in this industry. Not recommended with small children.

Buhne XI is in an absolutely fantastic location. In addition, friendly staff and very tasty dishes and wine at reasonable prices. Remember to book a table.

A fish restaurant in the dunes of Hiddensee, just beautiful and everything was perfect. A real tip!!!

We had dinner with the family. The main courses were really tasty and more than enough. I had gurnard fillet with a very good sea buckthorn yoghurt sauce, my wife had a casserole with cod fillet and our oldest had a very good schnitzel with fried egg and mushrooms. The youngest had fish fingers with fries! Everything was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately we have to deduct one star because of the starter. We were looking forward to Camembert with cranberries. But unfortunately it was a simple, cheap camembert from the packaging from the wholesaler. Especially after the delicious main courses, we were surprised that the starter wasn't homemade. But that is no reason not to recommend the restaurant. It's really worth a visit. We'll be back and look forward to a homemade starter.

Went there because of the good reviews. The prices are way too high. That is not justified. Ate somewhere else. It's a shame that many people exaggerate it so much.

Quaint location for summer barefooters. A good, reliable point of contact for our catering on Hiddensee for decades. Down-to-earth and tasty cuisine, good fish. Unfortunately, the building authority's red tape, which has now suddenly woken up, neighs. We hope that the restaurant will stay with us, as there aren't many alternatives locally.

The waiter was very friendly and quick. That's it! The prices are totally overpriced even for Hiddensee and the ambience is somewhat reminiscent of a flea market.

We stopped here on the way through because we wanted to have a drink. Since sandorn cake was on the daily menu, we ordered it straight away and were not disappointed. Delicious.

Were there spontaneously for the first time yesterday. Very friendly welcome even without a reservation. The food was very tasty and a nice big portion. The young man who served us does his job with a lot of love and dedication. You can feel that and it feels good. His interaction with the guests. Simply indescribably empathetic. If you want to sit comfortably and have a delicious meal after a nice walk on the beach, you can't miss Buhne XI. The menu is presented on a blackboard and reacts flexibly to what is available fresh, especially fish. The cod fillet with fried potatoes and sea buckthorn butter was a poem and absolutely recommended! Depending on the season, reservations should be made in advance. We will definitely come back next year!

We had a fish platter twice with 3 types of fried fish for €28.90 each. The price and the quality do not seem justified to us. There was a fried herring that was still OK. was. Then a piece of cod fillet and a piece of plaice. The cod was a mini piece and also had bones. The plaice was just a piece of the tail. Overall unacceptable for the price. Given the price, we would have expected slightly more noble types of fish than herring. The types of fish were not mentioned on the menu in advance, but only when the order was placed.

3 days vacation in Vitte, 3 days of which ate in the Buhne XL. There really isn't much more to say about it. I'll do it anyway because the Buhne XL team is doing a really great job. The food is delicious, whether fish or meat, and the selection of drinks is extensive so there is something for everyone. In addition, there are absolutely nice operators who provide great service even when it's busy and adapt well to their guests. We felt very comfortable and can only recommend a visit to the Buhne Xl restaurant. Don't forget to reserve a table, spontaneously could be difficult in the evening. We'll be back next year and are really looking forward to it...

We stopped here after a hike around the island to satisfy our hunger. The meals were very tasty and plentiful. My partner had the Hamburger Schnitzel and I had the green herring. We can recommend both dishes without reservation! The choice of drinks is plentiful and there are even three types of beer on tap! The owner is very friendly and accommodating and gives very good advice. The food was served without long waiting times and the drink replenishment worked smoothly! We will definitely stop by again on our next visit to Hiddensee! Since we didn't stay here we can't comment on the rooms.

On our day trip to Hiddensee at the beginning of March, we actually only discovered Buhne XI because nothing else was open... But it was a stroke of luck. Very friendly service, quick, always a kind word and a smile. The atmosphere is totally quaint, cozy, rustic. The food tasted good, was at the table quite quickly and I would order it again.

Very cozy restaurant with a large selection of dishes at fair prices. We chose pickled fried herring and grilled knuckle with fried potatoes. Two large herrings with a mixed salad and a good amount of very good fried potatoes. The knuckle was large and the side dishes were rich. The highlight was the fried potatoes. Finally, a homemade sea buckthorn liqueur. The host's son served us well in a direct, personal manner. A successful evening and that in the off-season. Gladly again.

My absolute favorite food is the gurnard with sea buckthorn sauce which, thank God, is on the menu almost always at least in summer. The menu is varied, from farmer's breakfasts and pork knuckles to fish at fair prices. Be sure to pay attention to the daily specials - because these are usually special and rare specialties. An advance reservation is recommended both at lunchtime and in the evening - because the shop is always full, even with a large (partly covered) outdoor area. The service is attentive and quick. The kitchen also runs smoothly when there is a big rush and you never have to wait long for your food. Zwei Gerichte und zwei Bier für 55 Euro. Okay, damit muss man rechnen. Aber man erwartet schon, satt zu werden. Der Heringsteller bestand aus einem sehr kleinen gebratenen Hering, ein ebenso kleiner Brathering und Heringsstücke in Sahnesauce, besser gesagt Sahnesauce mit Äpfeln, Zwiebel und drei Häppchen Fisch darin. Darunter ca eine Kartoffel in Scheiben, ungewürzt, aber schön geröstet. Etwas Salatbeilage. Für uns kein Grund, hier noch einmal essen zu gehen. Die überraschende Vielfalt an Gerichten (ca 30) lässt vermuten, dass nicht alles frisch zubereitet wird. Eine kleinere, dafür qualitativere, Karte wäre empfehlenswert.

Fischsuppe war heiß und hat nicht gestunken- das was das Positive 15 Euro für eine geschmacklose Brühe mit viel Selleriewürfel 2Scheibchen Karotten u d ein wenig von 1 Sorte Fisch-1/2 Scheibe angetrocknetes Schwarzbrot Apfelschorle groß war gut für 6,50,- Auf Nachtisch haben wir verzichtet Schade, aber das vermiest die Launa auf dieser schönen Insel. Aus dem Laden könnte man eigentlich richtig was machen…

Schon zum dritten Mal heute da gewesen und wieder super happy. Sehr leckeres Essen, toller Service, ganz tolles Ambiente und für uns sehr wichtig extrem hundefreundlich. 🐕‍🦺 Preise sind angesichts Insel Lage und Inflation mehr als angemessen, bzw wirklich günstig! War mega, wir freuen uns aufs nächste Mal. 💖

Das erste Mal Besucht.Sehr tolle Idee mit der Speisekarte, Freundlich Bedienung und immer Nachfrage ob noch was fehlt. Würde immer wieder zum Essen dahin gehen.

Leider hatte die Lokation geschlossen, daher nur zwei Sterne, von außen gut und das was ich von draußen sehen konnte war eine nette Einrichtung.

Wundervolles kleines Restaurant mit netten Biergarten. Speisen und Getränke schmecken sehr gut. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett. Die Preise sind hiddensee typisch.

Sehr freundlicher, flinker Service. Wir waren nicht zum ersten Mal in der Buhne XI und hatten uns für die große Fischplatte für ordentliche 58,20 € entschieden. Und ich muss sagen, ich war enttäuscht: die Bratkartoffeln waren weich und sehr dunkel und der Großteil des Fisches fad. Im Verhältnis zu den anderen Gerichten fand ich den Preis eindeutig zu hoch und das kann nicht an der Masse des Fisches gelegen haben. Schade, vielleicht haben wir beim nächsten Mal mehr Glück und die Buhne XI fällt nicht der Massenabfertigung zum Opfer.

Wer auf Hiddensee Urlaub macht und nicht in Buhne 11 essen geht, hat was verpasst, Preis und Leistung stimmen u und vorallem das Personal ist super nett und motiviert, dem Gast alles recht zu machen, weil das so ist, sollte man natürlich einen Tisch reservieren.

Toller Ort zum Verweilen und genießen! Essen (gebratener Dorsch mit Joghurt-Soße) war perfekt gebraten! Trotz vollem Haus, haben weder Getränke noch die Gerichte lange auf sich warten lassen. Toller Service! Beide waren gut auf Zack und um das wohl der Gäste bemüht - wir kommen gern wieder!
