Sehr Gutes Essen, sehr schönes Haus und nette Bedienung

Auf unserer Radtour sind wir per Zufall am Wieseneck vorbeigekommen. Wir haben auf der Terrasse etwas getrunken und eine Kleinigkeit gegessen. Der netter Service und die lokale Küche haben uns positiv überrascht.

Sehr gute Getränke, tolles lokales Bier, herrlicher Blick von der Terrasse auf grasende Schafe.

Schöner Gasthof mit Blick auf Schafe und Natur, zudem wurden wir schnell bedient. Es gibt allerdings nur wenige vegane Gerichte, z. B. Tagliatelle mit Spinat und Bärlauchpesto oder einen Salat. Das Essen war insgesamt lecker. Besonders positiv war der sehr aufmerksame Service: Als unser Kind die Nudeln mit roter Soße nicht mehr essen wollte, wurden unkompliziert extra Nudeln ohne Soße gebracht. Die Soße selbst ist geschmacklich gut, aber in der Menge recht süß. Insgesamt ein schöner Besuch mit sehr freundlichem Service, aber für Veganer eine beschauliche Auswahl. Vielleicht wäre eine Überlegung wert, ob man ein vegetarisches Gericht in vegan umwandeln könne um die Auswahl zu erhöhen.

Wir waren an Pfingstmontag da und haben zum Mittag gegessen. JEDES einzelne Gericht war ein Gaumenschmaus!! Qualität, Service und Standort sind super. Wir kommen das nächste mal wieder!

Ich war heute Abend in der Gaststätte Wieseneck zum Abendessen. Daher kann ich zu den Kategorie Zimmer keine Bewertung abgeben. Das Essen bestand aus einer Vorspeise - kleine Spargelcremesuppe und dem Hauptgericht - Schweinemedaillons mit Röstitaler und Speckbohnen. Dazu ein Schwarzbier. Insgesamt hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Kellnerin Annika war auch immer nett, freundlich und auf zack. Ihre männlichen Kollegen wirkten teilweise etwas umstrukturiert und aufgedreht. Der Sitzplatz war etwas unbequem, da ich mit meinen 196 cm einige Probleme hatte meine Beine unter den Tisch zu bekommen. Für große Gäste ein nicht so schönes Handicap. Wäre sonst auch gerne länger geblieben. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat gepasst. Die Lokalität kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Authentischer Laden, kompetentes Personal und richtig gutes Bier – entspannte Atmosphäre!! So muss das sein!!! Gerne wieder!

Wir waren im Restaurant. Sehr nette Bedienung, das Essen war prima. Leider mussten wir sehr lange auf das Essen warten.

Ein fantastisches Restaurant mit exzellenter Servicekraft. Das Essen sah sehr gut aus und hat lecker geschmeckt. Aber die Servicekraft eine junge Frau ausgezeichnet. Ich selbst bin gelernte REFA und das was diese Dame abgeliefert hat war einfach phantastisch. Wir kommen gerne mal wieder.

Eine Zitronenbeigabe auf ein Fischgericht ist immer richtig, wenn dann aber bitte als Zitronenscheibe. Ist einfach praktischer mit einer Gabel zu durchstechem, der Saft kann gleichmäßiger auf den Fisch verteilt werden. Den Saft von einer Zitronenspalte auf den Fisch zu drücken ist unhandlich und nervig, in vielen Gaststätten klemmt die Zitronenecke in einer handlichen kleinen Zitronenpresse, das ist für mich ein Service der sinnvoll ist und Freude macht. Ansonsten ist das Wieseneck ein Restaurant wo es Spaß macht zu essen und zu trinken , in jeder Hinsicht.

Die Zimmer der Pension Wieseneck sind sehr freundlich und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Lage ist Zentral im Ortsteil Kloster, ca. 5 Gehminuten zum Sandstrand. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltigen und lecker. Wir haben hier ein längeres Wochenende verbracht und waren rundum zufrieden. Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Achtung! Dies ist mit viel Abstand mein absolutes Lieblings-Restaurant auf der Insel Hiddensee! Nun muss ich zugeben, dass ich hier in Kloster aufgewachsen bin und wohne und mit dem Wieseneck viele schöne Abende verbinde. Allerdings kann ich vielleicht genau deshalb exakt die Einschätzung geben, die dem Lokal gerecht wird. Sowohl das Essen, als auch die Getränkeauswahl und der Service ist tadellos!!! Wenn man mal bedenkt, wie hochwertig hier teilweise gearbeitet wird, bin Ich wirklich stolz, dieses Etablissement als mein Stammlokal betiteln zu dürfen. Kommt gerne vorbei und überzeugt euch selbst, denn hier wird mit viel Liebe zum Beruf und zur Heimat gekocht und dies auf höherem „Hiddenseer“ Niveau! Guten Appetit und PROST!

Die Küche ist sehr zu empfehlen, Bedienung zuvorkommend und umsichtig, Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein...selbst für die Rehe am Abend auf der Wiese darunter...

Wir haben hier geheiratet. Es ist ziemlich lange her. Eine tolle Feier in der Veranda zur Wiese ist uns noch in Erinnerung. Das schöne Zimmer für das Brautpaar auch. Toll, dass das Wieseneck das Wieseneck ist. Wir kommen immer wieder gern zurück.

Das beste Restaurant und Essen in Kloster! Egal, was Sie bestellen, es wird Ihnen schmecken. Scholle und Meerforelle sind fantastisch, perfekt gewürzt und die Portionen sind sehr großzügig. Die Portionen sind zwar etwas größer, aber durchaus machbar. Wenn Sie in Kloster sind, sollten Sie unbedingt hingehen! Eine Reservierung ist in der Regel erforderlich.

Der Service war sehr nett. Die Getränkeauswahl gut, die Speisekarte übersichtlich. Die Hähnchenbrust war trocken, der Gulasch sah aus wie Brei und die Knödel ließen sich nicht scheiden. Im Gastraum etliche Spinnweben und keinerlei Tischdeko. Wir waren mit Hund - Wasser wurde uns leider nicht angeboten.

Wir waren heute Abend zu Gast im Restaurant, Hotel können wir also nicht bewerten. Schon bei der Reservierung war der erste Kontakt sehr freundlich. Abends waren wir äußerst positiv beeindruckt über den richtig guten Service, Respekt und Hochachtung!!! So, genauso, geht Gastronomie!! Das Essen war ebenfalls sehr schmackhaft. Spontan haben wir für die nächsten beiden Abende auch reserviert. Sie sind ein, nicht unwesentlicher, Baustein der zu unserem tollen Urlaub auf diesem wundervollen Fleckchen Erde beigetragen hat. DANKE dafür!!! Wir fühlen uns willkommen und gut bewirtet, gerne wieder!!!

Wenn ich an dieses Mittagessen zurück denke, läuft mir das Wasser im Mund schon wieder zusammen!

Leckerer Grünkohl, nette Bedienung

We went to Wieseneck for the first time yesterday. The food was almost cold and the service was unmotivated. The daily special was sold out by 12:30, which is unacceptable. We wouldn't recommend it.

Wir waren gestern auf Grund der zahlreichen Bewertungen das erste Mal im Wieseneck. Das Ambiente war gemütlich, das Essen schön angerichtet nur leider fast kalt. Der Service wirkte nicht sehr Kunden interessiert - es wurde lautstark über Themen gesprochen die nicht unbedingt vor den Kunden gehören was ein Mitarbeiter auch registriert und vor den anderen angesprochen hat. Alles in einem waren wir enttäuscht und würden eher nicht nochmal kommen.

Simply fantastic. The food, the quality – top-notch. The view (from the terrace) overlooking the tranquil natural landscape (only horse-drawn carriages) and the friendly service = superb. We'd love to come back.

The Wieseneck, I've known it for many years. Since 2018, I've been coming to the island regularly to enjoy a week of relaxation. The quality and selection of the food, as well as the prices, have increased. I have to admit, I was skeptical, as it was still the same in May. But I can tell all my friends and colleagues at the Wieseneck, it was great. Last night, there was a pleasant, not overly large selection of dishes to discover (new menu?!) And in terms of quality, quantity, and temperature, we were not disappointed in any way. I had the pollock fillet with curry vegetables and tagliatelle; it had a pleasant spice (slightly hot), and the pollock fillet was very well cooked (not overcooked). As for the service, dear critics who complain about unfriendly service staff, take it easy. Mecklenburgers themselves are known and loved by some for their taciturnity, which may sometimes seem unfriendly, but talk to people and give some friendly feedback. Sometimes it's enough to just say thank you and maybe put your phone down while ordering. A big hello to the service staff; sometimes you can make a positive impression with your guests just by giving them a quick look while they're ordering. In short, thank you for the delicious meal, and I'm looking forward to another delicious meal today, tomorrow, or whenever.

Fast and friendly service, soup for lunch, very tasty

Food was completely ok but table service was spotty for me and several other dining parties. Beautiful setting. I wouldn’t recommend unless this is only option.

A restaurant where you're served at your table. We were quite surprised, as that's unfortunately rare these days on Hiddensee. Despite the restaurant being full, the waiter was friendly and prompt, and the food was of good quality. Since we only ate there, we can't rate the rooms. Bottom line: recommended and definitely worth a reasonable tip.

We arrived for dinner and ordered spaghetti Bolognese and rösti with quark. After ten minutes, the waiter came and informed us that they were out of both pasta and quark. How could pasta be out when the menu offers several pasta dishes? The rösti with a different sauce turned out to be rösti cakes, simply thrown into the fryer. Disappointing!

Rustic yet cozy restaurant right in the center of Kloster. Small, straightforward menu with many delicious, homemade dishes. Good beer selection, even cider on tap! Fair prices and attentive staff. Always worth a visit.

Quality of the food...loveless, tasteless, abysmally bad...we advise against it!

I can only give the restaurant a positive review. Four of us were there for a birthday party. And there's nothing to complain about. The reservation worked, the view was beautiful, the service was friendly, the wine was cold, all four dishes were delicious, and the wait was completely okay. Spaghetti, herring, pollock in mustard, and zander arrived at the same time, hot and delicious.

Disappointing handling of reservation – what a shame! I personally visited the Wieseneck guesthouse in Kloster to book a room for two people for three nights. I was informed that they only had room available for two nights. I clearly stated that I would have to check with my son first, but I specifically asked for the room to be reserved for me. The lady at the reception said that wasn't necessary, the room was definitely still available, and I should just send her an email. Less than an hour later, I called – and suddenly everything was fully booked. This annoyed me greatly. I had specifically requested a short reservation and explained my request clearly. Unfortunately, this was not taken seriously. This is not how you should treat guests – especially in face-to-face conversations, I expect a minimum level of commitment and helpfulness. It's a shame, because the first impression was actually good.

Top-notch guesthouse, restaurant, and service. As guests of the guesthouse, we arrived easily on a Sunday (despite the restaurant being closed). We enjoyed extremely attentive service that same evening (cold drinks). The following day, the service was also attentive at breakfast (great with salmon and scrambled eggs), and when we had a table reservation that evening, we were able to choose our table. The food was delicious, the cold drinks were refreshing, and the service was friendly and attentive. All in all, a well-rounded experience and well worth recommending.

Difficult: On the one hand, the service was attentive, on the other hand, the food was not a highlight, at least for us.

We went to Wieseneck for dinner again on June 28, 2025. We always go to Wieseneck at least once when we're on Hiddensee. This time, my wife had the pollock fillet with mustard sauce, which is fried pollock fillet with mashed potatoes and Dijon mustard sauce. I had the pollock fillet curry, which is also the photo. Fried pollock with vegetable curry and tagliatelle. It was again fantastic. Reservations were easy, the food was delicious, and the service was friendly, quick, and courteous. We immediately made another reservation for Tuesday evening.

This review refers only to the service in the restaurant. We had reserved a specially selected table the evening before, which was no problem at all for the very friendly waiter that evening, who noted our request. We then notified them again in the dining room and had a brief conversation about the meal. The next evening, at the agreed time, we arrived at the reserved table in the beer garden on time and told the waitress that we had specifically reserved a table to celebrate my partner's birthday with dinner. Unfortunately, the table was still occupied (?)... but after a short wait, they ended their stay. What followed, unfortunately, had nothing to do with friendly service. The waitress was very snippy and knew nothing about a table that had been specially reserved for us, and apparently, according to her, there was nothing in the order book either 🤔 What's up with that? The day before, I was standing next to the nice waiter, whose name I spelled out as he made the entry!! I then passed this on to the waitress in a still friendly note... But, apparently overworked, she became "intrusive" and cheeky; she didn't know anything about it!! ??? "Thank you," but THAT was enough. We had completely lost our appetite in that atmosphere. We had been so looking forward to a lovely evening with a birthday meal... But THAT doesn't deserve a single star!!! We are very disappointed... but we found a wonderful place to stop that same evening and, as I said, were able to celebrate a wonderful birthday elsewhere with delicious wild boar goulash, among other things, and, above all, with super-friendly service.

The island's best fish soup with fresh herbs. Unfortunately, the waiter's apprentice seemed a bit overwhelmed by the small crowd that had escaped the downpour and entered the restaurant. Otherwise, very satisfied!

Immediately, the best restaurant in Kloster, can only rate the restaurant as we are staying somewhere else.

This review refers only to the food. There isn't much choice—which usually means it's freshly prepared—but we didn't get that feeling, and unfortunately, the food was lukewarm. We didn't think the value for money was right. The staff was friendly, so we gave it three points instead of two.

We were only there for dinner. Delicious and plentiful.

My review relates purely to the restaurant. The service was polite and friendly, but if a guest orders a bottle of wine, one would expect it to be poured. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The food: we had one dish of cod with tagliatelle and one dish of pork medallions. The fish was neither crispy fried nor warm. The pasta was still swimming in the sauce/pasta water. The medallions were very hard, and the cream of mushroom sauce was lukewarm. Overall, we had the feeling that most of the food was reheated rather than cooked. Our criticism was also ignored, but met with a smile. There were also discrepancies at the other tables.

It was very idyllic there. Friendly service and delicious food 😊

The following review only refers to the restaurant: We have visited the Wieseneck several times in recent years and have had very different experiences. Sometimes solid to good when it comes to the food and service (including the wine), sometimes less pleasant. A visit to the Wieseneck is always a gamble. Unfortunately, Fortuna was not kind to us on our last visit: the food was served unexpectedly quickly. The asparagus was hard and lukewarm (pre-cooked too briefly and also warmed up too briefly), the triplets, which had been cooked hours ago in the oven and were now dried out, had also been warmed up too briefly, the dried herbs on top unfortunately didn't make it any better, the foamy hollandaise sauce was served in a small gravy boat in which it must have been for a long time because an unsightly, firm skin had formed. The container was warmer than the contents. The schnitzel was the only part of the meal that was hot. The meat was ok, but the breading was unfortunately soggy. I would have liked to have left a good hair on the food, but I just couldn't find any. The service that evening was just as poor as the food. The homepage is currently looking for staff (including a cook). Maybe that's why. Unfortunately for us it was the worst experience here so far. We'll still keep our fingers crossed for the Wieseneck and try it again in the summer!

A very nice location, the dining room is attractively decorated, the terrace with a view of the landscape. Friendly staff. A large selection of drinks. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't have a particularly good kitchen, which would have only given it 2 1/2 stars.

Yes, the place is recommended. The entire island is car-free, which is very decelerating and relaxing.

A wonderful restaurant on Hiddensee! We were very excited today. Very nice service and the food was consistently very tasty. From the starter to the dessert, you can recommend everything with a clear conscience. For us it's always a must on the island. 5 stars 👍

Luckily, we finally managed to pay a visit to the “Wieseneck” on our last vacation. The weather just allowed us to visit the terrace. The young staff is attentive and friendly. The menu is kept small so you can't get too bogged down and the guest is given the feeling that everything is freshly prepared without exception. We enjoyed it very much and will be coming back next year. 2025: we were there again and will stop by the next time we visit Wieseneck👍

Spontaneously took a trip to the island of Hiddensee and planned a good breakfast at the bakery on Kloster. Unfortunately, this great bakery is closed forever, which we found out. What a loss for the island. But we were easily compensated for this with a great breakfast in the Wieseneck. Thanks to the friendly service staff, the day was saved and we were able to enjoy a sunny day. Great service!

In 2024 we were once again in Wieseneck for a few days in the week before Easter. As in, great service, great food, great room and nice conversations.

Very friendly team, short, crisp menu, everything freshly and deliciously prepared. The room was clean, not "over-renovated" and exudes a pleasantly nostalgic charm.

A very cozy guesthouse with a long tradition. If you're expecting something modern, you're in the wrong place. Peace, comfort, friendly, helpful staff, and a good breakfast are guaranteed. Good food and pleasant evenings in the restaurant are also guaranteed. I've enjoyed coming back for many years.

How can a restaurant or its service be rated with three nice and one bad-tempered service staff? “Can I look at the cake inside?” "No, we don't have a cake display." “You don’t have any cake?” "Yes, but no display case." "And how do I find out what cake you have?" "By asking." "And?"... Unfortunately, the apple pie itself (as a hobby baker) didn't impress me in terms of taste. The fish soup was good in portion and taste.

This is the second time I've eaten at Wieseneck and I'm thrilled. I would definitely like to come back 😃

I can't give any information about the guesthouse, we only visited the restaurant. Unfortunately, we have to put this visit back on our negative list. My food was okay, the sea buckthorn sauce could have been a little creamier, but what was very negative was my husband He changed the fish in his meal from salmon to cod and unfortunately this change was very expensive. It was clearly visible on the bill, but this was not written on the menu or the waitress did not tell us that this change cost 5 euros, so the meal was otherwise 24 euros 30 On the menu it says salmon, we now paid 29 euros 30 for cod and then they are surprised that the guests are angry and think three times about whether they are going to eat and to top it off the side dish wasn't fully cooked either.

Pork medallions, rosti, stir-fried vegetables; Medallions completely fried to death, very dry, with softly cooked vegetables... unfortunately very disappointing! There is one star each for the friendly service and the great location… All in all not recommended if you are demanding.

Such delicious food and everything made from fresh ingredients. Nothing canned. Simply a culinary delight in terms of taste.

Me and my friend had dinner on the terrace on August 5th, 2024. Food was very good. Unfortunately, since prices have risen well across the island, the prices here are still okay. So a very good price-performance ratio. Service was always friendly and helpful. But I would like to highlight our waitress because she radiated incredible joy. Next time I'm on the island I'll definitely eat here.

***Take away possible*** I visited this restaurant for a takeaway dinner and it was a wonderful experience. Even though I just wanted takeaway, that wasn't a problem at all, which unfortunately isn't always the case on the island. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I was even allowed to take a knife and fork with me so I could enjoy my meal comfortably on the beach (of course I'll bring them back straight away). The waitresses were really exceptionally nice and tried to accommodate my requests. It was refreshing to see that we weren't looking for problems, but rather finding solutions. The food itself was delicious and fresh. It was an absolute treat to enjoy my meal overlooking the ocean. Thank you for this great experience! I'll definitely come back.

Were there for dinner My wife had cod fillet "Hiddensee" and I had cod fillet on pan-fried vegetables, excellent. We will definitely come back next time we visit the island.

Friendly guesthouse close to the beach. Breakfast is rich and fresh. The staff unfortunately a bit lazy, but friendly. The rooms are very small. The guesthouse is getting old. But recommended for a week's vacation

Ate very well. Service was very nice. The food was attractively prepared and was very filling, so unfortunately we couldn't order dessert. The restaurant is very busy, so I recommend making a reservation in advance.

Beautiful, quaint, individual house in a good location in a monastery with restaurants (small menu and very good selection of drinks) and a dozen guest rooms - our room turned out to be significantly worse than expected or booked - three days after check-in we struggled but it is about goodwill and fair accommodation. The bottom line is a recommendation for Hiddensee anyway and for the house (you should only have the booked room described in detail if necessary, as there is unfortunately no information on the homepage).

A wonderful place to relax. The service was friendly, as always. We look forward to the fish dishes on offer every year. They are freshly prepared and taste delicious. With the magical view from the terrace and the friendly service, it's hard to say goodbye.

We ate there with a large family (20 people). The food was very good, beautifully prepared and tasty...we all got our food at the same time...

I was only in the restaurant: super nice and competent staff, order: came on time - nothing to complain about!

We (3 adults and 4 children) wanted to have another nice meal on our last evening on the island. We also ordered a table for 6 p.m. The waitress was there quickly and took our orders for drinks and food. The drinks came and from then on nothing happened. The tables around us were served, everyone arrived after us and got their food. Nothing just happened to us. After waiting for over 1.5 hours, we asked two service staff whether anything had gone wrong with the order. No, your food is coming soon. We would have liked to drink something more, but no. After another 10 minutes the waiter came: "He would now have to tell us the bad news that our order was lost and whether we still wanted food." When we said that this is of course sporty and that we have been sitting here with children for over 1.5 hours, the waiter's answer was: "Patience builds character." That's what he says to 4 children who sit at the table chilling the whole time. So we ordered our food again and were finally able to order a second round of drinks. We should think about what good it can do for us (smarties and confetti?). After we finally got our food after more than 2 hours, we were very disappointed. Unfortunately I have to say that I have never had such bad tagliatelle with spinach. As compensation we were offered ice cream or a round of drinks on the house, but after 3 hours we just wanted to get out. They didn't accommodate us in terms of price. A pity. What disappointed us, however, was that there was no proper apology: "Dear guests, we have to apologize to you, unfortunately something went wrong with your food order. We would like to take your order again if it suits you. To bridge the time We're happy to bring a round of drinks on the house." That would have been the right thing to do. It's not even a problem that the order went missing. We are all human and things can always go wrong, but the way we were treated was simply unpleasant and disappointing. We have been coming to Hiddensee for many years and know the Wieseneck, but nothing like this has ever happened to us here. And stupid sayings (as answers) don't work either.

As a family with a small child, we felt completely comfortable at dinner. There is a really excellent children's menu with more than Stino options. Our food was also very good and the service was absolutely pleasant in terms of approach and style. What pleasantly surprised me: It is completely clear that the crises and stresses are particularly hitting the catering industry right now. Against this background, I find the absolutely fair prices in a restaurant that thrives on tourism remarkable.

Small guesthouse on Hiddensee with an attached small restaurant. The rooms are small, but completely sufficient and comfortably furnished. The food in the restaurant is good and meets different tastes.

The waiter was physically present, but nothing more. We ordered, among other things, a (large) fish soup for 12 euros, but it simply didn't deserve its name: hot cubed broth with some spring onions, in which there were a few boney pieces of fish. Not a nice experience!

Gemütliches Restaurant und sehr leckeres Essen.

Das Wieseneck ist eine Institution. Wie ein Zufluchtsort auf einem Zufluchtsort (Hiddensee an sich). Das Personal hat den Laden vollständig im Griff und ist äußerst zuvorkommend. Dabei sieht man, wie viel Arbeit bei dem allgegenwärtigen Personalmangel auf der Besatzung lastet. Wir kommen immer wieder gern und freuen uns auf unsere Freunde hinter dem Tresen. Liebe Grüße. Wir waren im August da und haben ganz lecker gegessen. Das Dorschfilet mit Sanddornsoße, ein Genuss! Und eine sehr netter Service. Hoffe, auf Hiddensee mal länger Urlaub zu machen und da öfter zu sein.

Die Außenterasse ist richtig schön, mit Blick auf die Wiesen. Dann das Essen: frisch gekocht, sehr gute Qualität u richtig lecker. Preise sind hoch, aber es paßt zu dem, was man bekommt!

Hervorragende Küche- war fast täglich im Wieseneck und habe somit einen ausgiebigen Überblick über sämtliche Malzeiteite. Begonnen mit dem ausgiebigen umfangreichen Frühstück in prächtiger Lage mit freiem Blick über die Salzwiesen, über das abwechslungsreiche Mittag mit fangfrischem Fisch(konnte den Fischer persönlich sprechen), bis zum behaglichen Abendessen, kann ich das Wieseneck aus bester Überzeugung empfehlen. Das Personal ist auf Zack- aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre,wenn einen der Koch persönlich zum Beraten kommt..sehr empfehlenswert

Service war wie die Insel selbst, entspannt und sehr freundlich. Essen war auch sehr lecker, Fisch kann ich nur empfehlen und die Preise sind moderat! Übrigens, sehr Kinderfreundlich!
