Zum Klausner Gaststätte & Pension in Insel Hiddensee

During our hike to the Hiddensee lighthouse, we noticed the signs for this small restaurant on the way there. On the way back to Vitte, we were peckish for lunch, so we decided to turn off the main path and stop here. What a wonderful location, what a quiet, romantic place—if it weren't for all the tourists. Upon our arrival, both the restaurant and the beer garden were well-occupied. Unfortunately, we were handed various menus, some of which weren't valid. Instead, the many boards outside the restaurant, where the current menu items were listed, were valid. We had fried fish in beer batter with homemade potato salad and flounder with spinach and boiled potatoes. Both were truly delicious and, above all, freshly prepared. Definitely worth a visit!

Even though the waitress saw us upon arrival, we weren't served. We left after 15 minutes.

The restaurant has a prime location, not far from the Dornbusch Lighthouse, in the middle of the forest. However, this location comes at a price. The portions are very small and the price is simply too high. However, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent!

Nice ambiance. When I arrived, the older waitress initially ignored me… no hello… nothing, but the main thing was to chat with others. Then a younger waitress came over; she was very friendly and welcoming. If it were based on stars, the older waitress would get 0 stars and the younger waitress 5 stars. The food was okay. But for the price, the prices are simply too high.

We visited this restaurant in early October and sat outside. Although there shouldn't be many wasps around at this time of year, there were so many of them – so many that we were stung several times. The staff, however, showed no interest or sympathy. They ignored our warnings and did nothing to improve the situation. When we finally wanted to go inside to continue eating in peace, the staff reacted in an annoyed manner – with eye rolls and an unfriendly tone. We had to carry our food and drinks inside ourselves. Even after we were stung, we weren't offered an ice pack or any kind of assistance. Overall, a very disappointing experience: no service, no friendliness, and no sense of responsibility. This simply shouldn't happen.

Beautiful location! That was it, unfortunately, or maybe we were just unlucky! Fortunately, it was the only restaurant we visited during our vacation on the island of Hiddensee where we felt like "the customer was threatening to cancel their order" and "the next guests would come anyway!" It's a shame, because the Klausner is truly idyllic! Otherwise, we've only had great experiences with restaurants on Hiddensee. Just not at the "Klausner." Unfriendly service, and the food was not worth the price in terms of quality and quantity!

Not recommended. Schnitzel heated in rancid oil, fried potatoes with a bite made from raw potatoes, also fried in rancid oil. The worst food I've ever eaten. The price for the small portion was outrageous.

Breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied, dinner was not recommended; fish was overcooked, partly unseasoned and unsalted, potatoes were hard, and there was no sauce. Coffee was served with whipped cream and a microwave apple strudel. Final cleaning costs extra, but it would have been nice to clean under the bed (we found a water bottle and a bag of Haribo from the previous guests, despite having 5 hours to clean it). The location next to the lighthouse was wonderful and a great starting point for hikes. The staff were mostly friendly.

We were there today. After the waiter came to our table and said he'd be right there, 20 minutes had passed. When we asked if we could order something, we were told the lady would be there in a minute. Five minutes later, we were allowed to order our drinks. When we asked for an ashtray, we were told we could get one ourselves. Staffing shortages or not, as a guest, you can expect friendliness.

The fish dishes are especially recommended. The Dingsleben beer is also excellent after the stressful climb to Klausner. The service was fast, attentive, and very friendly.

Cash only, as there is no network coverage here. If you need a break after the climb to the lighthouse, this is a wonderful place to stop for a bite to eat. There's a lovely beer garden in front of the house. We had the liver on toast with some coleslaw. Very tasty. The liver was nice and tender and not overcooked. Just something for a small appetite, though. Then we had the homemade apple strudel with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, applesauce, eggnog, and chocolate sauce. This one had a few more calories. Definitely not suitable for dieting, but enjoyable. The price was okay; we're on an island, so it does cost a bit more. But it has to taste good, and it did.

Outdoor dining in the forest, very efficient staff, which hikers appreciate, and everything in terms of drinks is excellent. Not so good: The stew of the day, lentil soup – clearly from a can. The soup of the day is unclear... Broccoli and potato? There's clearly still room for improvement in the kitchen.

We spent several days at the Klausner as a large group and were well-accommodated in various apartment units. The peace and quiet was incredible! We were able to try all the dishes for dinner, and I was impressed by the selection of fish dishes, the quality, and the perfect preparation of the food. The service from the staff was courteous and relaxed. I highly recommend it.

It looks nice and well-kept, but unfortunately, the service is very unfriendly. We wanted a drink to go, asked about the menu, and were unfortunately turned away by the waiter in a very unfriendly manner. What a shame!

The Klausner is a classic. If you take the steep bank path, the hike there is a dream. The food is excellent. The herring is certainly highly regarded here. Tip: herring the other way round. It has a super crispy crust. The homemade potato salad is top-notch. And all this at the top of the mountain, despite difficult logistics, and at fair prices. Stop the complainers!

We stayed at the Klausner Haus Erika for a week in August 2025 and felt very comfortable. The accommodations were nicely furnished. We stayed in the lower level, with a living room, bedroom, and small kitchen. The well-maintained complex includes the guest houses, a main house, and several wooden houses. Since this complex is located up in Dornbusch, very close to the lighthouse, a 25-minute walk from the harbor is necessary. Luggage can be transported by hotel staff upon request. The beautiful scenery and the panoramic view are stunning. The staff was very friendly, and requests were taken care of immediately. The breakfast is also amazing; it leaves nothing to be desired. We can recommend the fish platter for two people at the guest houses; it's excellent! Keep up the good work, we'll be back next year..........

This restaurant, located in the middle of the forest, has a wonderful charm. We had a very friendly server and the food was very good and delicious. We had schnitzel on brown bread and a fried egg, and schnitzel with homemade potato salad. The potato salad was amazing, super tasty, and not from a bucket.

We stopped for a beer on our afternoon hike to the lighthouse and, because of the really pretty beer garden, decided to come back for dinner that evening. It was a feast. Our waitress, Tina, was super friendly and refreshingly funny. She served several tables and remembered everyone's orders despite being interrupted several times. We were delighted. Our beer arrived quickly, and the food took a reasonable amount of time, which is normal when the food is freshly prepared. The fish dishes we ordered were excellent. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and didn't regret making the climb again that evening. Thank you very much, and see you next year at the latest. We will definitely be back.

Food from a can! If you want to eat canned lentil soup for €10.50 in a restaurant, go to the Zum Klausner restaurant!

We were guests today with our 11-year-old daughter. She ordered a children's portion of mashed potatoes with seafood. When the portion arrived at our table, the waitress laughed and said it's only a children's portion. My daughter's face fell out and she was annoyed that they hadn't informed her beforehand how small the portion was. The portion cost €10.60, completely overpriced, and the child left the table hungry.

Don't Call It Schnitzel! If you look at what we've rated so far, you'll hardly find any bad reviews. That's because we prefer to share them directly rather than online. However, this must at least be accepted. The food was really bad; our schnitzels were deep-fried and had the color of beach sand. And they also made from pressed meat. What's the point of that? The fried potatoes were limp, and even the orange slice on my wife's Spritz had been pre-cut a while ago. An appetizer was offered as "small" and "large." "We don't have any, they only serve large." The beer on the menu is Fürstenberg. "We don't have any, they only serve Felsengold." Terrible pilsner. The appetizer and main course come together. So, the fried herring (it was OK, but the bread was long past its best) was eaten afterward. When the bill came, it was for a large plate. When we asked about this, we were told, "It's not our fault that there are menus from last year. We don't have that food anymore. Today, someone wanted stew because it's listed there. We haven't had it for a long time." I was about to ask if we'd done something wrong. We actually order something from the menu very often. Most restaurants display it for exactly this reason. This was by far the worst dining experience we've had in recent years. We will avoid this restaurant in the future. The food at Kloster is good; we were disappointed in ourselves that we only went there for drinks and ice cream today.

The waitress uses an aggressive, pseudo-polite manner to remind guests if they are not seated at a table that is already set. We arrived at 6:01 p.m. and sat down at a table that is already set. Our drinks were taken at 6:12 p.m. and arrived at 6:36 p.m. Before our food order was taken, the drinks and food orders of four other guests, who all arrived after us, were taken. The waitress chatted for a long time with the other guests and brought a couple of them cutlery and extra napkins with a curtsy as if they were royalty. Our food order was not taken until 6:42 p.m. My wife ordered pancakes with cherries. I had lost my appetite. Guests who had arrived before us ordered the same thing shortly afterwards. They got the pancakes at 6:57 p.m. The couple who arrived directly after us also got their food at 6:32 p.m. At 7:11 p.m. I went to the cash register and only paid for our drinks. When the pancakes were checked out in the kitchen, the chef made the blunt remark that we weren't at the train station. The "noble" guest with the fancy napkin also made a derogatory remark about us. This is my 16th visit to Hiddensee and I've stayed at the Klausner 14 times. Six of those times, it was similar, and the other times weren't great either.

The manager is a very unfriendly, "house dragon." We had ordered our food and it started to drizzle lightly. We asked the friendly waiter if he could open the parasol. He wanted to open it, but when the manager saw this, she yelled across several tables, "The parasol stays closed!" That's a parasol, not an umbrella. Unfortunately, her tone was inappropriate. Instead of offering us a seat inside, she added to her grumbling tone that umbrellas rot and are very expensive. I feel very sorry for the young waiter and the staff, with such a house dragon. The food wasn't that special either.

We were completely impressed by the Klausener in Kloster! The service was excellent – ​​super friendly and attentive staff who interacted with guests on an equal level and created a very pleasant atmosphere. You simply feel at home. Everything was clean, tidy, and lovingly designed. The beautiful beer garden deserves special mention – a little oasis where you can relax. We didn't eat anything hot, but the homemade cake, apple strudel, and coffee were really good. And from what we heard about the food, it sounded absolutely convincing – especially since everything is homemade. A place with heart and quality. We'll definitely be back!

Despite the rainy weather and staff shortages, the staff were very friendly and efficient, and they still served us outside. The food was incredibly delicious. And the sea buckthorn schnapps is a must-try.

Nice restaurant for day trips. Our meals, flounder with potato salad and fried herring, were good and plentiful. They serve Paulaner Weizen beer on tap! The service was friendly.

The kitchen staff was reduced due to illness, which we fully understand, and we wanted to leave. However, we were assured that we could stay because the kitchen was ready. After the drinks were quickly brought to the table, ordering food would have taken half an hour. We would have been very pleased to have been informed of this before ordering drinks. We left without food.

The service was abysmal, the waitress came right to the door – the line probably wasn't any longer – thank goodness. Listing all the negatives would go beyond the scope of this article. Some people certainly aren't in the service field, which is a shame they don't have the self-reflection skills to speak for themselves. So, stay well away while this lady is in charge.

GROSS ALERT! The service was mediocre, but the worst part was the food. My fish and my girlfriend's vegetarian patty were fried in ancient oil, and my stomach was already churning just eating them. The "homemade" potato salad had nothing to do with love or taste, but a lot to do with heartburn. The drinks weren't carbonated. We ended up paying too much for this disgusting place and barely made it home by bike before we ended up throwing up all night.

Unfortunately, I can't give a comprehensive review. Eight of us sat in the beer garden waiting for service. No staff to be seen. Opening was supposed to be at 11:00. After 15 minutes, we left, hungry and thirsty.

A beautifully situated restaurant and guesthouse. We stopped here for lunch. The pickled herring fillet was very good, and the rhubarb cake that followed was fresh from the oven. Very friendly staff. The entire grounds looked well-maintained, and the cottages looked really nice. However, we didn't stay overnight, so we can't rate the guesthouse.

Food below average, no card payment and for 50 cents. the only toilet far and wide.

With our trip to Hiddensee we were recommended to stop at Klausner. When the weather was great, we were offered a table outside. We both had the potato salad with schnitzel and once a meatball. Both like nuts... Sensational Also a big compliment to the waitresses despite the stress... always friendly and nice. This is not a given. Conclusion... if you are in the area, then go to Klausner... Weather doesn't matter because there are plenty of places inside too. We'll be back 🙌

The season has begun, in two ways: the herring has arrived, and the Klausner is cooking again. We enjoyed this first day of 2025 in glorious weather. The service was prompt, attentive, and exceptionally friendly. And the food was difficult to choose. We enjoyed it very much, and the bean salad evoked memories of times long past. The relaxed atmosphere is certainly due to the preseason, as the crowds will be much higher in summer.

We visited the Klausner twice in the week before Easter 2024. Super friendly service and pleasant conversations with the staff. Now we know the history of the Klausner. The time for "storytelling" was probably reserved for the preseason. The food and ambiance were also great.

The food would get 3 stars. It is alright, nothing special. Not great and not bad. But the waitress was very rude and unfriendly. This was one of the worst experiences I have had in my whole life. The lady made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable with her gaze, body language, comments and being annoyed by any question we had. It is rare I am not tipping off as I know how tiring this business can be but she deserved none. Never again will I visit this place.

Hospitality with a difference: If you couldn't get it in New York, Geneva or Singapore, you can get it here - the bratwurst for 10 euros. It should be served a stone's throw from the Dornbusch lighthouse in a completely concept-free room. Far away from nature - without views, without art, without tradition - surrounded by a functional area for the purpose of eating - without any distractions - prepared for the big rush of bratwurst connoisseurs. July doesn't seem to be the season for bratwurst or the word hasn't gotten around yet. After a long wait in the purist brewery interior, I ventured into the interior, where employees disguised as guests refused to take our orders and asked us to keep waiting. We waited with great excitement to see what the sausage would be like, but no one came. As we came from the Dornbuch lighthouse we left: thirsty and hungry. This really interesting and very bold concept gets a real Michelin star from me.

The restaurant is known from the novel KRUSO; it was a meeting place for dropouts and potential republic refugees from the GDR. I only consumed drinks, the tradition, the coffee and the sea buckthorn punch were quite watery, a tribute to the situation described in the book.

We had a very bad experience, which really clouded the memory of our trip to Hiddensee. We ordered egg tarts with applesauce for our son. The applesauce was bad (fermented and tasted like mold), the fruit bowl (from the can) was fermented. Unfortunately we only noticed this when the pancake was almost eaten. It was not felt necessary to apologize to us and there was no accommodation regarding the price either. A little later (fortunately before the boat trip) our son vomited several times.

The thin-lipped, monosyllabic person with the mustache (it's no longer possible to tell whether she was a man or a woman) who served us said few words and offered even less service. The food (egg tarts) tasted of old fat and didn't seem very fresh. Everything seemed careless and wasn't actually worth the money. Tourists are being taken for a ride here. You can also make money without cheating the people who bring the money to the island. Better stay away from this place. You can eat better almost anywhere on the island.

Always my pleasure. Even if you have to have time. On busy days it takes a while, but it's still worth it. In addition, the service was very nice, despite the stress, and the perch was simply exorbitant. The prices are ok too.

My fish solyanka today for €8.50 was very disappointing! There was very little fish in my cup, I estimate it was about 30 grams. The whole fish, shown in the photo, fit on the raised spoon! Unfortunately, I didn't find the fish or the solyanka included to be of high quality or tasty, even if the friendly service gave everything.

One star each for location and service, but: piece of plum crumble cake; Straw-dry dough with a few plums that were so hot from being heated in the microwave that I burned my tongue. hot cherry waffles; also straw-dry, small, few cherries on ice cream that is too sweet… that for 8.50 euros…. Never experienced such a terrible waitress. We asked for another side dish to go with the main course (as offered on the menu for an additional charge) and were then insulted and had to leave the restaurant. You have to remember that we were there with our child to have lunch in peace. There was no reason for such behavior. Because the waitress probably didn't want to change side dishes during peak times because it was too much work. The women there are obviously overwhelmed and are waiting for their pension to arrive. We are shocked and are considering taking action against it. It's a shame that there is no other restaurant nearby, otherwise there wouldn't be so many guests here. But unfortunately you have no other choice. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment considering the price was far too high. But that's not a problem with the inhumane behavior of the waitress. I hope your retirement comes quickly so that more guests don't feel the displeasure!

For the second year in a row I am spending a period of 3-4 weeks here with my aunt and him, in one of the very well-kept houses. In the middle of a nature reserve with various options for sensational views of the coast, the lighthouse, the bay side or simply the beautiful plants and wildlife, this almost paradisiacal atmosphere offers some moments of happiness and relaxation. The accommodation facilities: Very good. Almost all accommodations have their own terrace. For example, when running individual errands, you can keep a bottle of white wine cold in your own refrigerator. I mostly recommend taking advantage of the opportunity to dine in the in-house restaurant in the evening. The cuisine is definitely very, very good. And everything is fresh and homemade. The staff is friendly. There is no such thing as perfect, but I almost feel that way here. I look forward to many more years. Just great, wonderful four weeks in the “Klausner” area. There were three of us, my friend, his aunt (88 years) and I lived in a cozy, Scandinavian style house named “Rüpel” and enjoyed every day. The apartments are cozy and contain a little fridge. The restaurant offers delicious main dishes, a lot of fresh fish variants and “yummy yummy” desserts. The service is friendly and a good guestkeeper. But please keep in mind….! You are on an island, and the Klausner is one of the highest points in the area and daily is a challenge to plan different circumstances 'cause' of all this, plus the weather. Not everything is possible. We will come next year for the third time and we are grateful for the people/stuff who made us happy last and this year.

Just like 2 years ago, a great visit....fast drinks service....we had to wait a bit for the food order....but it's vacation....and you have time....unfortunately only the green herring with boiled potatoes, a change to fried potatoes is not possible... that's a shame... drinks could be cooler...

Extremely unfriendly service! We also couldn't order food at 11:15 a.m. and couldn't change the order again after two minutes. You ask yourself why when you sit in front of tap water and stale beer. We have only had good experiences on the island of St. The Klausner was definitely a failure.

Schnitzel with fried potatoes and mushrooms for over €20, totally OK. But then please at least make the schnitzel fresh. Serving the entire meal as a convenience is simply cheeky for the price.

Unfortunately there is no option to give 0 stars. We wanted to eat something in the beer garden. Due to the weather, a notice stated that there was no service outside. We then asked the restaurant how we could order. We were then told in a very unfriendly manner to go back out and wait at the table. Understandably, we did not accept this “offer”.

In itself, the island of Hiddensee is a dream for those seeking peace and quiet. But it's even nicer here because you can sit outside if the weather is nice. There is also no wind here, which is otherwise present almost everywhere on the island. And you can get fine cakes and coffee here. Really a nice spot.

Actually there shouldn't be a star, the staff is unfriendly, the food is terrible and the atmosphere is not inviting. The staff gave the impression that they were disturbing and the schnitzel felt and tasted like it was in the pan for the third time. We have never left a restaurant so quickly.

We stayed in Haus Klaus from May 23rd to 26th, 24 and had breakfast in Klausner in the morning. The house is a well-kept and clean gem and the location 70 meters above the sea is unique. We found the people there to be extremely friendly and committed. We were able to put together breakfast individually for each morning, including bacon and scrambled eggs. It is a beautiful place with friendly people where you can ideally experience the character of the island (if you are good on foot). The luggage collection and delivery service works perfectly.

The beer wasn't bad at all, but you can't go wrong. We sat down in the restaurant on a hot day and had to wait 15 minutes for service to arrive. Then 15 more minutes to get 2 beers, and guests who ordered after us got their orders earlier. When I wanted to pay because we were actually in a hurry, I was barked at very unfriendly. Bitte machen Sie einen sehr großen Bogen um dieses Restaurant!!! Wir waren gestern mit 4 Personen unterwegs und wollten gemeinsam im „ Klausner“ essen. Wir nahmen im Garten Platz und warteten geduldig auf die Bedienung…. Irgendwann gingen wir in das Restaurant und fragten freundlich nach, „ob wir bedient werden können!“ - Wir wurden im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes angeschnauzt: „Heute ist es zu kalt, wir kommen nicht raus!“ Okay! Wir hatten verstanden: heute ist also Selbstbedienung, da es den Servicekräften zu kalt war (es schien die Sonne) Wir fragten dann nochmals freundlich nach, ob wir Kissen für die Gartenstühle bekommen könnten - im nun schon gewohntem Tonfall bekamen wir die Antwort: „Heute kommen keine Kissen raus!“ Daraufhin verließen wir fluchtartig das Restaurant!

When I asked, I was told that it couldn't be the case because only foam would come out of the system (that's exactly the problem). The prices are completely overpriced, the quality is subpar, the service is completely wrong. My schnitzel on brown bread was quickly fried and a slice of the cheapest bread was placed next to it. When we were about to leave, our chairs were taken away because the next guests were already lining up. This seems to be a pure tourist trap. Only cash payment is possible. We didn't receive an invoice even when we asked (tax evasion?). Overall it was a very bad experience on an otherwise wonderful day.

Had lunch at Klausner today, not recommended. Everything is overpriced and of poor quality. The area is very beautiful there, but the Klausner doesn't work at all. Never again !

I come here every time when I’m in Hidensee and It’s been a few times now. They have the best Kuchen on the island. Their Pflaumen Streusel and Apfel Strudel are sublime. Stop by and take a break from hiking for some cake, coffee, and drinks. I never tried the food but tbh it looks pretty good. Nonetheless, great pit stop after some activity.

We were there on May 10, 2024. We arrived there at lunchtime because, like many others, we were at the lighthouse next door. The weather was pretty cloudy and cool, but we sat outside. Our waitress came promptly. She was very friendly and helpful. Always a smile on your face and therefore very pleasant. Unfortunately you couldn't tell that from the neighboring waitress. Apparently the waitresses divided up the tables and we got lucky with ours. Of course, we observed over time that it was very stressful and that it was really an act of desperation to get the food to the table without any accidents. Some of the guests are also definitely tiring, but the waitress to the left of us really said something in good German and felt that way the whole time. She rolled her eyes and shook her head in annoyance at the guests. Her harsh tone really didn't seem good. We were able to see this happening well and have to agree with some of the previous comments in this regard. Our drinks came quickly and so did the food. Which really surprised us, because there were already a lot of guests there and more and more were coming. The food itself tasted good. But we can't really imagine that it was freshly prepared at this moment. The schnitzel and the fish in beer batter just looked too pre-prepared for that. But the fried potatoes were made from real boiled potatoes and not pre-made from a bag. Even with the champions, I'm actually pretty sure that they were canned. Which isn't a bad thing, but then you shouldn't say in the menu that the ingredients are different and everything is freshly prepared. In general, it has to be said that the prices here, like everywhere else on Hiddensee, are increased. We paid around €60 for 1 small cola, 1 large beer, 1 x schnitzel with fried potatoes and champions and 1 x fish in beer with fried potatoes and tartar sauce, 1 espresso and 1 latte macchiato. It's nice to sit outside, but there aren't many seats. It was noticed that this restaurant was not designed for this flow of visitors. There was no end to the people and they often had to go on hungry. Kudos to the waitress, they definitely know what they've done tonight. We don't even want to know what would have happened in summer or in today's sunshine.

Really beautifully located restaurant with very friendly staff. We ate twice within 4 days. The Toast Rossini (toast with liver), waffle with ice cream, garfish, Dutch coffee and beer are really recommended. Everything was very, very tasty. There was already a lot going on, so we were lucky to get a spot both times. The weather was fantastic. The staff is quick and always has a quick saying on their lips. Yes, we also had to wait longer for our order, but my God, the girls had their hands full and really tried hard, it's nice to wait. After all, you are on vacation. Clear recommendation!

Has improved significantly over the last few years. This time only coffee and beer after the hike, but the food was praised at neighboring tables.

Unheated cultivation at 5 °C outside temperature. Long waiting times. 1x different vegetables on the plate than agreed upon when ordering. Only 4x cutlery (knife, fork) for 7 people. The main courses came in 3 steps. Reordered mayonnaise had to be ordered four times until it was on the table (ultimately after the plate was empty). Card payments should not be possible because the internet connection is not stable. However, you can book WiFi (Telekom). We were asked if we each needed an invoice. (My first thought was tax issues.) For me it was one of the most unpleasant visits to a restaurant.

The customer is king, they say. We were there for the first and last time today as a group of 8 in the late afternoon, when there were only a few other guests present. With its direct proximity to the lighthouse, the restaurant with an outdoor area is very appealing, especially when the weather is good. But from our point of view this was the only positive thing, although it should be noted that we mostly only ordered drinks and the food is therefore excluded from this review. In addition to the fact that the waitress hardly interacted with us guests and we were in charge of taking the order and not you, there was a clear failure in the ordering process. To be on the safe side, we asked whether she had noted 3 beers or whether the third still needed to be ordered. She just accepted this and so we were only brought two beers to the table instead of three. Accordingly, we asked the second waitress for the third beer, which she also noted directly. However, we had to wait so long for this third beer, even though we asked for it when we first ordered, that everyone else was finished by the time this beer was served. We then said politely but clearly that we would no longer accept this for the reasons described. This was accepted silently, but shortly afterwards your colleague came to us and insulted us about it! The first waitress now has to bear the costs and our behavior is wrong. After a short exchange with us, the situation calmed down again and we went straight to paying, so that this incident of lack of customer appreciation and service skills could be closed. Anyone who cares about service is clearly in the wrong place here.

After a visit to the lighthouse in Dornbusch we came across this inn by chance. The atmosphere is very cozy, we found our place outside. It was neither overcrowded nor were there any guests. The food was really recommended. The staff is very friendly, courteous & humorous. The prices are reasonable, if you're a fish lover you're in good hands here. The desserts are particularly recommended. For example, we had the apple strudel & the egg tarts with hot cherries. Wonderful!🍒 A great refreshment for the way home after a visit to the lighthouse.

I absolutely cannot understand some of the reviews here. We were there for lunch today. 2 people + 2 dogs. Our meal “2x herring times different” was perfect, including double espresso, water and apple spritzer. No frozen vegetables, everything freshly cooked. The waitresses, we had two different ladies, were both super friendly and a nice little conversation was great. The price of €45 is fully justified, I even think it's cheap! I think it always resonates from the forest as you call into it. In other words: Absolutely recommended, and no, we didn't know the restaurant or the waitresses beforehand!!!

Waren nach dem Leuchtturm Besuch zum Essen hier . Kann nichts negatives sagen, Speisen waren gut , vernünftige Preise und Personal freundlich .

Preis Leistung ist in Ordnung. Wir haben einen wunderbaren Apfelstrudel mit Eis genossen. Leider hat man hier nach wir vor ein Wespenproblem. Keine Ahnung warum das hier selbst im Oktober so krass ist. Diese Erfahrung machen wir jetzt schon zum zweiten mal, innerhalb von 3 Jahren.

Nette Einkehr im Dornbusch, auf dem Weg zum Leuchtturm oder nach einer Wanderung an der Küste entlang und dann die Klausnerteppe hoch. Leider sind immer noch die Wespen in einer sehr reichlichen Zahl beim Essen und Trinken mit vertreten. Das war bei unserem letzten Besuch 2019 auch schon so und trübt ein wenig das gemütliche verweilen.

Kann über Essen etc nichts sagen. Die Entsorgung von am Strand gesammelten Müll (eine leere kleine Plastiktüte war es um genau zu sein, welche wir hier entsorgen wollten) war zu viel für die unfreundliche Dame im Service. Sind dann lieber weiter.

Das beste an dieser Pension ist die Lage! Wirklich wunderschön! Aber leider ist die Unterkunft im Häuschen eher unterdurchschnittlich. Eigentlich gedacht für Selbstversorger, gibt es hier für 120€ pro Nacht weder einen Lappen, Schwamm, Spülmittel, Schüsseln (weder groß noch klein), eine Pfanne oder ein Küchenhandtuch. Auch um Gläser musste ich extra bitten. Im übrigen waren Scharen von Kellerqasseln im Haus, welche mit der Lage und dem Alter des Hauses begründet wurden. Eine tägliche Reinigung wurde aber trotzdem nicht unaufgefordert durchgeführt. Da auch kein Staubsauger im Zimmer war, musste ich die Leichen der lnsekten täglich von Hand beseitigen. Ich hätte es wirklich angemessen gefunden, wenn eine Korrektur der Rechnung stattgefunden hätte. Diesen Vorschlag gab es jedoch leider nicht. 2 Sterne tatsächlich nur für die größtenteils überaus freundlichen Mitarbeiter und die fantastische Lage. Wirklich schade.

Diese Gaststätte ist absolut keine Empfehlung. Unsere Hündin wurde (aus Versehen) von der sehr unfreundlichen Bedienung hart an den Kopf getreten. Sie lag neben dem Tisch. Die Bedienung meckerte uns an, warum wir denn unseren „Köter“ extra in den Weg legen würden. Nach der Bitte um Entschuldigung unsererseits, bekamen wir ein unfreundliches „Dafür habe ich jetzt keine Zeit“ an den Kopf geworfen. Sollten sich aus diesem Vorfall Kosten der tierärztlichen Versorgung ergeben (diagnostische Abklärung, Dentalröntgen, Analgesie, …), halten wir uns vor, die Rechnung an diese gastronomische Einrichtung zu stellen und ggf. weitere rechtliche Schritte einzuleiten. Wir empfehlen den Besuch dieser Gaststätte nicht weiter. Anscheinend steht hier das Geld verdienen um jeden Preis und ohne Rücksicht auf die Gäste im Vordergrund.

Äußerst unfreundlicher Service, ein einfacher Wunsch (Spiegelei mit Bratkartoffeln) wegen der Allergien der Kinder wurde mit der Begründung abgelehnt, dass sei zu viel Arbeit… Zudem völlig überteuert.

Essen ist gut, Bedienung sehr unfreundlich.

Wir haben gut gegessen und fühlten rundum zufrieden. Personal war freundlich und die Einrichtung sauber. Wir empfehlen diese Gaststätte gern weiter.👍👍👍

Diverse Male im Urlaub hier essen gewesen. Rustikales Ambiente und sehr gutes Essen. Service freundlich und schnell. Kommen gern wieder!

Schickes Restaurant am Leuchtturm. Wir sind super bedient worden, es gab sehr freundlichen Smalltalk an Informationen über die Insel während der Bedienung. Das Essen war frisch gemacht und lecker und preislich für eine Touristeninsel durchaus angemessen. Wir sind auch absolut zuvorkommend über die Pension und die kleinen Häuschen informiert worden, als wir danach fragten. Alles in allem war der Aufenthalt hier ein super Erlebnis. Alles bestens!!! Ach, die sanitären Anlagen waren sehr sauber und alles was man da so braucht, war ausreichend vorhanden.

Sehr schön, hat wieder bis 20.30 Uhr warme Küche.

Wir haben nur Kaffee und Kuchen zu uns genommen. Beides war “in Ordnung”, aber der Service war wirklich miserabel. Ruppig, an der Grenze zu “das einzige was stört ist der Gast”

Eine schöne Umgebung, aber dennoch gibt es viel auszusetzen. Das Personal war sehr unfreundlich, bspw. während des Bezahlvorgangs einfach verschwunden, oder beim Ausgeben der Getränke kein Wort verloren und generell kam es sehr genervt rüber. Das Essen war sehr billig vom Geschmack her, der Eierkuchen total kalt und hart, der Milchreis sehr wässrig und das Schnitzel auch eher schlecht. Selbst die Sprite hat nach Wasser mit Sirup geschmeckt. Würde ich nicht weiter empfehlen!

Wir können den Klausner nur empfehlen, heute leckerer Barsch, perfekt zubereitet, Bratkartoffeln die diesen Namen auch verdienen, eine superfreundliche Bedienung und preislich für Hiddensee wirklich in Ordnung. ... Hiddensee, wandern an der Steilküste, Abkühlung im absolut klaren Wasser und am Schluss Essen im Klausner...so muss Urlaub :-)
