The Fischerklause is a true highlight! You immediately feel welcome upon entering – Rosi and her team create a wonderfully warm atmosphere where you simply feel at home. The food was outstanding: freshly prepared, beautifully presented, and simply delicious. The fish dishes are especially highly recommended – you can taste the love and experience that goes into the cooking here. Rosi is a heartfelt hostess who always has an open ear and a smile for her guests. The value for money is also more than fair. An all-round successful experience – we'll definitely be back! Extremely quaint! Very friendly and child-friendly service. If you want to experience the authentic Hiddensee holiday, then this is the only place you'll come. Highly recommended.

We ordered baked bread rolls at the counter, which cost €8.00. We were then very rudely informed that we had to wait outside at the bar while the food was brought to us. When we received our rolls and asked if we could sit outside at the tables to eat them, we were immediately told no, that it wasn't their fault but the tax office's, and with a 7% tax, we couldn't ask to be seated. I thanked them for the unfriendly and inhumane manner. I do not recommend this place.

Can "abysmal" be topped? Yes, it is here! If you're willing to wait forever and enjoy unfriendly service, then this is the place for you. I've never experienced anything worse than this. If you don't want to go through it, just close the place!

Absolutely horrible! Extremely rude service. We were told we'd be served outside, and then the woman came out annoyed and said we should pick it up inside. She also made a complete fuss about the toilet because our companion also needed to go to the toilet and she insisted on the 1 euro. The worst of it was when we put the key back in and the woman in the toilet CHECKED whether we'd left everything clean (as if we were cavemen). I've never experienced anything like that. And you could save yourself that euro because there are other toilets nearby. Definitely go to another bistro. The roll and fish were also completely shredded, completely unloving. There's a cheaper and better place 50 meters away. It's truly outrageous how people can be so unfriendly and brazen!

I've never experienced anything so unfriendly in a restaurant before. The manager and the staff seem beyond overwhelmed. There aren't enough seats available, and you're rudely turned away, using the excuse "you're too loud for her." Drinks are only available at the table, not possible due to insufficient space. I will definitely not spend a single cent here. Absolutely not recommended.

Back in the fall of 2024, we inquired about a reservation for a group of 19 guests for a 70th birthday party. We were told to get in touch, and then it would be fine. In the spring of 2025, we made phone calls and visited the venue twice to discuss it in person. Call one or two days in advance, and then it'll be fine. Dinner is possible from 2:30 p.m., as the restaurant doesn't open until 2:00 p.m., they said. Yesterday, four days before the birthday, we contacted them as agreed. Suddenly, a completely different tone. Not that early, the day before, or even on the day itself. And 19 people weren't there at all. When we reminded them of the arrangements, they said there was a case of illness. But the restaurant is open. What happens if 19 walk-ins show up at 2:00 p.m.? Will they be turned away again? Letting a party down is a bad omen for a restaurant.

Absolutely perfect, the service was excellent, and the food, typical of this region, was delicious. We went there three times in one week. Although it was always very busy, the girls around Roswita Hering, who was also very active, made a lot of effort and attended to the guests' needs, even if they just wanted a fish sandwich to go. If you walk into a restaurant, look for a free seat, and the waitress approaches you with an annoyed "May I please?", then you're at the Fischerklause on Hiddensee. We ended up eating somewhere else.

Unfriendly service and rip-offs. The food is okay, but some of the prices are significantly inflated. You can find better places on Hiddensee where you're more comfortable and not treated so condescendingly.

Disaster! The lousy food was only surpassed by the terrible service. I've never experienced such unfriendly staff. This lady should urgently consider a job change; she's definitely not suited to the restaurant industry. And on top of that, there were also a few cat hairs in the food. Overall, you can safely call this the worst place on Hiddensee.

In my opinion, the restaurant has the best food on the entire island. After three days of overpriced and inedible food, we were very happy to have stumbled upon this place. The service was the friendliest I've experienced in a long time, and the prices are more than fair. You can immediately tell that the food is fresh, and it tastes that way, too. I had the schnitzel on the first day, the farmer's breakfast for lunch on the second day, and the pollock fillet in the evening. I was very pleasantly surprised at all three meals by how fresh and delicious the food tasted. Compared to the many other restaurants in Vitte, this restaurant is truly impressive.

It's a real shame that the rating range only goes up to 5. If it were higher, we could easily raise the completely unjustified overall rating of 3.4 to 5.0. So, all we can offer is a sincere compliment for the food (the fish soup is amazing!), the service, and everything else. Everything here is perfect, and we've already made a reservation for our next visit.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Gutes Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis. Wirklich humane Preise. Ganz liebe, aufmerksame und humorvolle Wirtin. Wir haben Schollen mit Pommes gegessen. 24,50€. Zum Dessert Sanddorn Eisbecher - mit viel Sanddorn. 9,90€ - kein Schnäpper, aber die Insulaner sind sich einig - gleicher Preis überall. Wir können das Restaurant wirklich empfehlen. Tischreservierung erwünscht.

Nice and fast service. We were served quickly and had our food within 10 minutes. The portions were large. Prices are a bit high for the atmosphere, but appropriate for the quality of the food.

We like to stop there. It is a cozy restaurant, with attentive and warm staff. The food is delicious and the prices are absolutely right. If you don't feel like eating fish, we highly recommend the schnitzel, it's really delicious.

Excessive prices, long waiting times and unfriendly service. Since no other fish restaurant in Vitte was open on Wednesday, we were unfortunately stranded in the Fischerklause. After I was first reprimanded in a very unfriendly manner for putting two mini tables together (there were 4 of us) so that all the other guests could see them, we waited almost an hour for our food. The menu is manageable, the food costs above average (e.g. €18 for 2 fried herrings with fried potatoes, €26 for 1 cod fillet with sauce and boiled potatoes) and is at best snack quality. Really disappointing, it really took away from what was actually a lovely day on the island. It's better to invest in a fish sandwich and then enjoy a delicious piece of cake in Café Tante Hedwig!

Wir waren 2x in der Fischerklause und es war toll. Wir (4 Personen) haben verschiedene Gerichte gegessen und jedes war lecker! Preis/ Leistung stimmt und die Bedienung ist sehr nett. Wir konnten die Beilagen ändern ohne jedes Problem und haben weder böse Blicke noch böse Worte erfahren. Im nächsten Urlaub geht's wieder in die Fischerklause! Es ist so gemütlich und urig, einfach zum wohlfühlen. Weiter so Frau Hering und Personal!

We ate very well prepared fish there a few times, nicely presented and simply delicious. Very large portion and everything fresh. The slightly older waitress was friendly and kind, which is certainly not always easy given the crowds. Thank you very much, we'll be back!

Today we went to the Fischerklause to eat plaice. The service was super friendly and the food tasted excellent and fresh. We also liked the rustic atmosphere. We will definitely come back.

If you wait until you are seated (which is not uncommon here in the southwest) you will receive friendly service and, if you wish, advice on your choice of food. My zander with tagliatelle and curry was excellent - the fish was buttery and tender, the tagliatelle was to the point and the curry was fruity with a very slight spiciness... even the fluffy sea buckthorn cheesecake left nothing to be desired 🤤 Only the sea buckthorn liqueur was a bit disappointing - probably good local goods are becoming increasingly rare and priceless in view of the sea buckthorn dieback... 🥲 During the meal I observed that guests who stated that they had to catch a ferry were also served accordingly. The fact that you have to pick up the keys for the old-fashioned but very clean outdoor toilets at the counter is understandable given the location in the harbor and the nearby public sanitary building of the community... Gladly again 😊

Decent and good tasting portions. We were served quickly and friendly. The only problem was that the coffee machine was switched off about 50 minutes before closing time. Otherwise everything was fine.

Unfortunately not recommended. Although there were hardly any guests there, the waitress didn't show up for 12 minutes. Other guests came and went again out of frustration. When she came out, she first slowly cleared dishes from several tables and didn't pay us a glance. Then she took our order, but without a friendly word. We have rarely felt so unwelcome. Drinks were below average. When we asked to pay, we waited over 20 minutes for the bill. Next time we'll go back to Hafenkater, the service and quality are there

We wanted to eat at the Fischerklause today on September 18th. The restaurant opened at 2 p.m. sharp. The waitress came out with a very unfriendly and annoyed face. Even when the person wanted to take the order, she was unfriendly. We then left and had a delicious meal opposite. The other years were already unfriendly, I thought it had changed, but unfortunately not.

I don't even know where to start. With the very unfriendly service? Or the worst fish sandwich we've ever eaten? You should bake bread rolls. My husband got a dwarf herring in a flabby roll, my fried fish was a larger fish stick. And that with the prices! The beers were well below the calibration mark. But the crowning glory was the completely filthy toilet. Luckily I had sturdy shoes on. I just wanted to wash my fingers because I didn't have any napkins. The last time I saw something like this was at the border crossing with Yugoslavia in the 80s.

Fish sandwiches taste okay, but are a bit mushy. Unfriendly service. I wanted to order a fried fish roll at the counter and the reply was that the deep fryer was full. Now I ordered a salmon roll and was then rudely asked to wait outside. There were already 4 more waiting pick-ups standing like chickens on the perch. I had to wait about 20 minutes for the salmon roll, which I found to be a bit long for a sandwich. I don't have to go there again...

Very cozy shop. No fancy stuff. This is how a restaurant should be. Great food, nice staff. It was very nice there. I've been going to Hiddensee every year for 14 years and have only just stopped there. Now mandatory every year! Thank you for the nice support from the staff!

If you want to waste your life in a restaurant with incompetent and unfriendly staff, this is the right place for you. The excuses would also have to be practiced and agreed upon again, which is why you suddenly don't want to sell fried fish rolls over the counter - but at the table. You quickly feel like foot soldiers or second-class guests. Discussions within the staff in the presence of customers are also rather uncool.

It is a small restaurant with typical regional interiors and an outdoor area. The owner is very, very friendly and open. Special requests are taken into account and undecided guests are well advised. The food is always freshly prepared. There is a good selection of meat and fish dishes. Whatever we ate there was delicious. However, you should make a reservation during the season or just bring some time with you. We would love to come back when we are guests on the island.

The food was, if anything, mediocre and expensive and rather a small portion. The fish was not seasoned, fried potatoes and salad dressing tasted like convenience products. There was even porcelain in the food. At least one of the waitresses suddenly became friendly when it became clear that my in-laws come to the island every year.

The food is absolutely mediocre - everything is convenience and not even served with a bit of ambition. You wouldn't have been able to win a Bluemntopf with the "salad side dish" even 30 years ago. The prices are unreasonable - the quality is low - the staff is rude. You don't expect regular guests here and you don't try to be one. Only the location at the harbor is somewhat reconciling.

Unfriendliness is very important here. Anyone who has always wanted to experience a prime example of North German hospitality has come to the right place. Lives from the location and tourists waiting for the ferry. Sad and not worth a cent.

We wanted to have a drink before leaving on the ferry. Since the waitress finally wanted to take the order after 20 minutes, I didn't want anything more because I didn't have any more time. My companion wanted an espresso and I was turned away from the restaurant. So we left the restaurant. There are plenty of other options.

Never again this criminal den. A piece of plum cake for €3.90. So far so good. Only the piece fit easily on the coffee saucer. Luckily, according to the landlady, it was a purchased cake because it actually tasted good. She would have no influence on the size of the pieces and Aunt Hedwig's cake would be even smaller. Resistance to advice sends greetings. In the long run, Reiner Nepp even drives away the day guests. Never this store again. Never again Hiddensee. Oh yes, I can confirm the reviews about the toilet key. I didn't even dare.

Located directly at the harbor of Vitte (Hiddensee). Prices have risen sharply in recent years, but like everywhere else, not just on the island. Mainly fish… The portions are decent. When the weather is nice you can also sit outside. Reservations in advance are definitely recommended. In any case, the food is good to very good, but also in the price range of 20 to 30€.

The service is very good, we were served very nicely. The ambience is nice, you can relax comfortably. However, the prices certainly don't allow this for most wallets. The food was ok. But the price is pretty steep for the quality. For example, we paid 19 euros for a small schnitzel with fries and there was nothing exciting about it. A plate of pasta with a few pieces of chicken also costs around 19 euros. The beer 5.80 euros. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean we can give it any more stars today.

I can't say anything bad. A small, cozy dining room, a very nice service and super delicious food. Fried herrings, fried cod, fried sea bream, fried plaice, all delicious. Letzter Laden vor der Hafenausfahrt. Und das ist nicht örtlich gemeint. Wir haben aufs Schiff gewartet und noch ein Bierchen getrunken. Sitzgelegenheiten draußen waren…naja… die Speisekarten außen am Gebäude waren durch Wassereintritt in den Schaukasten nicht lesbar. Die Bedienungen rennen wie Äffchen, haben aber keinen Überblick. Daher haben wir uns das Essen gespart. Aufs Klo geht man, indem man sich vorher nen Schlüssel besorgt… es fehlte die Radkappe am Schlüssel, um sich wie auf einem Tankstellenklo zu fühlen. Den Umsatz macht man dort wahrscheinlich, weil es um 18:30 Uhr der letzte Laden am Hafen ist, der noch auf hat.

Hervorragende Gaststätte mit ganz leckerem Essen und super freundlicher Bedienung. Die beiden „Projekt Bedienung Jungs „ passten total dazu . Wir kommen garantiert wieder.

Urige, rustikale Gaststätte am Hafen mit typischen Gerichten und Spezialitäten. Alle bestellten Gerichte waren sehr gut und liebevoll angerichtet. Bedienung und Service waren prompt und sehr freundlich. Preise waren absolut angemessen. Wirklich empfehlenswert!

Vergesst alle negativen Rezensionen hier. Aktuell ist alles völlig in Ordnung. Nette Bedienung, sehr leckere Fischbrötchen, im Vergleich zu manch anderen Lokalen auf Hiddensee große Auswahl an Speisen, sehr gut zubereitet. Adäquates Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis. Gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten, auch die Kinderstühle haben Kissen oder Polster, was woanders längst nicht selbstverständlich ist. Empfehlenswert.

Ich habe mir ein Matjesbrötchen gekauft. Das Brötchen war ein Aufbackbrötchen, der Belag war in Ordnung. Beim Bezahlen weigerte sich die Bedienung mir einen 5€ Schein raus zu geben, mit der Begründung:" die brauche sie selbst! Ausserdem müsste sie ihre 1 und 2 Cent Münzen los werden!"

Schönes kleine Gaststätte die eine gut sortierte Karte mit Fisch hat .Sowohl als Imbiss wie zum warm Personal sehr freundlich und essen sehr gut.Ist zu empfehlen .Die Gaststätte liegt genau am Wasser.Aber ab Anfang November machen Sie Betriebsferien.

Ich kann über die Fischerklause nur Positives berichten. Sehr freundliche Inhaberin, seeehr leckeres Essen, urige Atmosphäre. Bester Pfefferlappen und top frisch, ebenso wie das Hecht-und Zanderfilet mit Bratkartoffeln, Groß und sehr schmackhaft. Sicher nicht billig, aber im Vergleich mit dem Rest der Insel, "normale" Preise. Übrigens, wir waren 9 Personen, es wurden 3 Tische zusammengeschoben und Stühle gerückt. Ich sage herzlich Danke für den schönen Abend und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Dafür gibts 5 Sterne!!!

Sind wiederholt hier eingekehrt. Leckeres Essen, freundliche Bedienung. An alle Nörgler: Behandelt die beiden Damen so, wie Ihr selbst behandelt werden möchtet!

Bedienung war sehr unfreundlich und mundfaul. Man hatte den Eindruck zur Last zu fallen. Preise waren dafür im oberen Niveau angesiedelt. Matjes Fischbrötchen für 5,50€ war aber auch sehr gut. Das zweite bestellte Bier wurde vergessen, dafür wurde ein Eisbecher ohne Löffel serviert... Also sagen wir mal so: Ein zweites Mal muss ich da nicht hin!

An einem Abend ganz nett, weil wir 3x Hauptgerichte bestellt haben. Uns sogar einen besseren Platz gegeben. Dafür mussten die vorherigen sich neben das Klo setzen. Essen eher mittelmäßig. Ein paar Tage später dann total unfreundlich, Getränke dürfte man nicht drinnen bestellen, preis für ein Bier wurde uns nachdem man die Frage 2 mal ignoriert hat, dann beim dritten Mal kurz und knapp gesagt. Haben 3 Getränke bestellt und lange gewartet. Nächstes mal lieber wieder Hafenkater.

In meinem ganzen Leben bin ich noch nie so unfreundlich, unverschämt und respektlos behandelt worden, wie in diesem dreckigen ' Restaurant' was den Namen Restaurant gar nicht verdient! Das Verhalten der beiden Bedienungen gegenüber Gästen ist Menschen unwürdig! Ganz nett und höflich fragten wir ob es noch einen freien Tisch für 3 Personen gibt. Die Antwort von Bedienung 1 war ein bösartiges, bald gefauchtes :Nein! So als wäre es eine Frechheit, dass wir überhaupt gefragt hatten. Ein kurzer herablassender Blick auf uns und weg war sie. Entsetzt gingen wir nach draußen und wollten Bedienung 2 nach einem Tisch fragen. Wir warteten geduldig am Eingang bis sie die Gäste bedient hatte und auf uns zu kam. Bevor ich die Frage beenden konnte, warf sie mir ein unwirsches 'nicht jetzt' entgegen, 'Sie käme gleich.' Noch mehrmals ging sie an uns vorbei und ignorierte uns komplett, nach 5 Minuten gingen wir. Menschliches Versagen auf höchster Ebene. Unfassbar, dass solche Menschen im Service arbeiten dürfen! Wir werden nie wieder auch nur darüber nachdenken dort hinzugehen und empfehlen es auch sonst keinem, der kein Interesse daran hat sich derartig schlecht behandeln zu lassen! Ist das in Rügen/ Hiddensee und Umgebung etwa normal?! Wir sind absolut enttäuscht von jeglichen Mitarbeitern in fast allen besuchten Restaurants - Freundlichkeit? FEHLANZEIGE! Qualität höchstens Durchschnitt und Preise überteuert. Ganz Rügen samt Menschen und Attraktionen ist mehr Schein als Sein. Abzocke!
