Best Indian restaurant in the area.
We've been there a few times and now I'm finally writing this well-deserved review.
My friends always rated the vegetarian dishes as very good. The Thali plate and the Dal Makhani are particularly recommended. I swear by the butter chicken! The best butter chicken I've ever eaten (and I've now tried around 10 Indian restaurants). That's why I always like to come back here, every time it's a pleasure (even to-go).
Despite the good taste, the price is not high. Compared to the other Indian restaurants that I have already tried, this restaurant is actually the cheapest. This results in an extremely good price-performance ratio.
The service is outstanding. The employees were always nice and there were never any interpersonal or communication problems. Rice is refilled free of charge (!) if it runs out and, as is usual for many Indians, there is a small starter of papadum with various dips.
I only give four stars for the ambience because the furnishings don't blow me away. It is nicely furnished and looks modern, but also exudes some Indian charm. Personally, I'm missing the icing on the cake that completely blows my socks off, which is why I only give it four stars. But of course that is criticism at a very high level!
It would also be important to mention that the parking situation is rather poor, which is due to the location in Frankfurt-Rödelheim. But the restaurant can only do so much.
My friends and I can only recommend eating here. Go and enjoy!
We have taken away the food just today around 7p
and ordered 1 chicken tikka masala, 1 paneer butter masala, 2 roti for 27.40 euros. We walked to the hotel which is 500m away and opened the food although it was well hot but missing one roti which we have paid for. We are leaving Frankfurt tomorrow morning so no point of getting a refund by going there again.
Food was average than we had in other EU countries.
Not happy with the accountability and accuracy of such small order.
Update -
We only got one roti in the foil with chicken tikka masala and rice and paneer and rice . You are liars, why would give 3 when we paid for 2 rotis? for just 2 euros , shame on your business ethics.
Mark up and admit your mistake but you are blaming for 2 euros and you are liars for rotis which is your business and living. Shame on you again and whole restaurant Indian community
The food is super delicious and I can also say from experience that it is really traditional and tastes like in Thailand. The portions are large and you can order any dish with tofu instead of meat.
There isn't much seating, but takeaway is always recommended!
Been there twice, can't complain. Lots of choice of toppings/sauces. I find the homemade lemonades to be rather mediocre, but I would still come back. Reasonably priced.
Hey, the prices seem just about fair, I like that. Apparently one of the few remaining praiseworthy providers who isn't lining their pockets in this situation. Keep it up, and may your concept be successful and in demand for a long time. All the best to you and the company.
I was eating recently and found two hairs in my food – really disgusting. So I went to one of the employees to complain. The guy talked to me normally, but didn't check that I understood Persian. Then he goes to a colleague and says something like: “She’s lying anyway, there was nothing in the food.” I just stood there and was like, Seriously?
YOU DON'T KNOW HYGIENE BAHHHH
Has everything possible to eat from different food styles. That's how it tastes. We gave him two chances, both times came to nothing. Throws in advertising despite the “No advertising please” sign.
The food is OK even if a bit overpriced. The hygiene leaves a lot to be desired. The waitress, an older Tibetan man, is terribly unfriendly. Threw the card on the table, barely understands German, touches the top edge of the glasses where you drink. It would be better with friendly service and more hygiene. Unfortunately, it is not recommended.
The spring rolls are highly recommended. They were the best spring rolls I've had in Frankfurt, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend the pad krapao; it was too salty for me personally.
Still, it's a nice little shop with comfortable outdoor seating.
