Lúa Cuisine in Frankfurt am Main

Me and my wife test Vietnamese restaurants in every city. Here in this beautiful place I ate the best Vietnamese soup of my life and have been eating it regularly ever since. No. 8 on the menu ;-) The meat (Tafelspitz) is as tender as butter and the taste is excellent. There is also a plate with bean sprouts, lime, herbs and spices so that you can adapt the soup to your own taste. I've never had this soup come close to being good anywhere else. Many friends to whom we have recommended the restaurant are concerned that soup will not fill them up. It should be said: It's a beef steak with a portion of rice noodles in soup...You'll be full!!! And if not: there are delicious desserts that taste different, not run-of-the-mill. The summer rolls are also highly recommended as a starter; the peanut sauce that comes with them is homemade and simply delicious. P.S. The soup is also available vegetarian and it makes my wife happy ;-)

Very tasty Vietnamese food. Our food wasn’t “westernized” either; tasted just like I know from Vietnam. The selection for vegetarians is also very good. Card payment is possible. The only drawback is the slightly higher price, especially for the drinks, but that doesn't have to be the case.

If you are Asian, don't go. Not authentic and overly spiced with no natural flavors. You may get tap water here, your bottle is plugged.

The pho bo is expensive and I was expected the soup with real beef flavor, but it’s not, just tasteless. Not worth the money spent.

I ate pho bo and spring rolls, both twice as expensive and rather worse than the average Vietnamese restaurant. Why is the place so full???

Cute and cosy little vietnamese in the green depths of Sachsenhausen. All the classics are in the menu. Pho is enormous. Come to enjoy light breeze at the balcony or terrace.

If you want a light, healthy but tasty lunch menu - beautifully presented at a very reasonable price - look no further. It is a 5 min walk from Frankfurt Süd station.

I am the most basic eater you could imagine, but omg this place was amazing. And the staff was so nice.

Nice staff, cute restaurant in a good location in Sachsenhausen. Food okay, there are much better Vietnamese! For the starter: minced pork with shrimps in a green rice coating was not only crispy but very hard, the mango salad was too coarsely chopped and the "dressing" wasn't convincing. Main course: Pho, you can eat it but it's below average compared to other Vietnamese restaurants Com Tam, very salty, but still tasty and something new

The food is super tasty, beautifully prepared, large selection and gluten-free. If you have gluten intolerance, you don't have to worry about it and you can choose whatever you want. The ambience is very nice, you feel like you are in a large living room. Service very nice and quick. We will be back definitely.

Wir waren hier zum Abendessen mit Freunden. Eine Reservierung wird auf jeden Fall empfohlen. Das Restaurant ist nüchtern aber zugleich modern eingerichtet - hell und freundlich und gut belüftet. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Alles war lecker und frisch zubereitet. Perfekt wäre es gewesen mit frisch gezapftem Bier 🍻 Kartenzahlung ist auch kein Problem gewesen! Fazit: Lecker Essen in angenehmer Atmosphäre - gerne wieder!

The garden is beautifully maintained and you feel comfortable while spending time here. Very nice service, the food is also delicious. See pleasant gastronomy.

Nice terrace/seating in the sun, service friendly, prices very high compared to other Vietnamese. But it tasted good, delicious drinks especially the tamarind spritzer

I was walking through this part of the city, it was a little late for lunch but I found this wonder with regular hours until night, they treated me great, the food was delicious and abundant. I love eating well and being treated well, without rush or pressure. As it was all life! Vielen dank!!!

Very tasty food, the service is super nice and the prices are really good in the location. All food is gluten free. During the week there is a lunch menu with a summer roll, a small salad, a portion of main course and rice for 11€ and on weekends a lunch menu consisting of a summer roll, soup, a fried part (chicken or tofu), a full main course size and a tea for €25. Really highly recommended!

I've probably eaten there twenty times and it's always been okay. This time the service was massively annoyed and literally brushed me off when, after waiting 50 minutes, I asked how long it would take. The food was dry (salmon), the sauce was completely salty and at the same time unpleasantly sweet. Because I was hungry, I made the mistake of eating everything. Since then I have had stomach problems (now day 2). I hope it was just a blip, but I won't go there again.

Great food, just teeming with flavour and textures. Everything is gluten free except the beer. Seems like they could find one to stock if they are gearing towards the GF crowd. First time I have had a good springroll in so many years. I would definitely visit again. We went with a group of 12 and everyone's food looked amazing. The portions were very generous as well.

The food was very tasty, the staff attentive. Unfortunately it wasn't said that you could only sit for 2 hours in the evening. Very very tight for 3 courses. Before the dessert could be ordered, the boss came with the bill without being asked. This may be standard in the USA, but certainly not in Frankfurt.

Lúa Cuisine is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've been to so far. Although the prices are more expensive than the competition, I still think it is justified by the good quality. The employees are very nice and provide detailed advice if you have any questions. I will definitely come back.

Delicious Vietnamese food with a twist! Many dishes offer a mix of a sweet sauce with garlic or pepper. Try number 13 or 18 or 21. A range from chicken to duck to shrimps! Delicious! The vegan salad is very nice!

We've been here for lunch twice by now and both times the food looked beautiful and was delicious. It is only the rice that needs some improvement. Still, I would recommend this place to everybody.

Wow, wunderbar und alles was das Herz begehrt. Daumen hoch und ich gehe dort jederzeit gerne hin. Gehobenes Ambiente, super leckere Gerichte und das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und nett. ;-))))

Es waren Haare auf den Tellern...

Im großen und ganzen alles gut. Interior ist klasse und Service ebenfalls lobenswert. Die Speisekarte ist gezielt selektiv und daher super. Die Gerichte sind authentisch und lecker und dennoch "inkonsequent", d.h. z.B. die Soße von Gà rô ti ist zwar süß aber flüssig und nicht karamelisiert, das Hackfleischküchlein bei Cơm tấm sollte bisschen würziger und das Rindfleisch weniger bzw feiner gehackter Zitronengras sein. Und nicht zuguterletzt die Fischsoße bisschen "eingdeutscht". Eins ist aber klar, Lúa ist einer der sehr wenigen authentischen vietnamesischen Restaurants in Deutschland...

Fantastisches Essen für faires Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis. Chic-gemütliches Ambiente und nette Bedienung. Absolute Empfehlung!

Wir kommen seit 2021 sehr gerne ins Lúa und haben auch heute wieder wunderbar Mittagessen können. Der Mangosalat mit Shrimps und Hühnchen ist immer ein Highlight und die Pho Bo eine der besten die wir kennen. Egal ob zu einem schnellen Lunch oder einem gemütlichen Abendessen, wir sind noch nie unzufrieden aus dem Restaurant gegangen. Die Einrichtung ist sehr schön und wenn man Glück hat bekommt man im Sommer einen romantischen Platz auf dem kleinen Balkon oder auf der Terrasse. Wir werden immer wieder kommen!

Ich war heute Nachmittag mit ein paar Freunden dort, alles war ausgezeichnet und von guter Qualität...entspannte Atmosphäre, exzellenter Service. Ich werde gerne wiederkommen. Herzlichen Glückwunsch an das Personal.

De passage sur Francfort, nous sommes tombés au hasard sur le restaurant! Un délice ! Je vous le recommande!

Ein schönes, kleines Lokal mit einladendem Außenbereich. Meine Wahl fiel auf die Nr. 27 und ich bekam eine große Portion, die frisch und sehr lecker schmeckte. Die Passionsfrucht-Limonade kann ich auch nur empfehlen, sehr erfrischend. Service war aufmerksam und freundlich.

Ich hatte Sommerrollen mit Garnelen und Tofu in Pfeffersoße mit Gemüse (Nr. 28). Beides war ziemlich geschmacksarm.

Heute Nachmittag habe ich ein Restaurant besucht Hier habe ich Saigon-Reis probiert.Es war bedauerlich, dass ich der erste war, der aß, als das Restaurant gerade eröffnet hatte. Was den Reis betrifft, finde ich ihn nicht wirklich lecker oder scharf.Das marinierte Fleisch ist köstlich, aber zu viel Zitronengras und nicht das gleiche Fleisch wie Saigon-Reis. Die Eier waren köstlich und wahrscheinlich die beste Portion, die ich je gegessen habe. Gurke und Tomate sind für mich frische Gemüsezutaten. Ich kann für Fischsauce nur eine persönliche Bewertung von 3/5 Punkten geben. Denn die Schüssel mit Fischsoße sieht langweilig aus, weil ihr Julien Karotten und Radieschen fehlen. Zusätzliche Zutaten für Fischsauce. Das Fleisch ist, wie gesagt, möglicherweise nicht richtig verarbeitet. es hat also immer noch weiße Haare. Der Restaurantbereich ist sehr schön und das Personal ist freundlich und enthusiastisch.Ich werde das nächste Mal wieder hierher kommen, um andere Gerichte zu genießen.

Da ich um die Ecke wohne, war ich schon öfter da und ich muss sagen, dass die Qualität immer gleich gut ist. Die Zutaten einfacher frisch und von guter Qualität. Auch der Service ist immer auf einem Sehr guten Niveau.

Die Ente mit Mangosauce ist nur zu empfehlen! Preist Leistung ist nicht perfekt da doch deutlich teurer im Vergleich zu anderen Vietnamesen. Dennoch ist gerade der Service und die Lage Top weshalb ich den Preis doch fair finde.

The phô was a bit less flavorful than in other Vietnamese eateries, but there were more greens and condiments on offer, so perhaps it is meant to cater to more varied (blander?) tastes. Very good and attentive service and ambiance.

Das Essen ist ok, aber keineswegs gut. Viel zu teuer für die Qualität.

Der Ort ist in allen Bezügen sehr gut... und die Preise sind ganz in Ordnung!

Zunächst mal positiv: die Gerichte sind alle glutenfrei, was für meinen Mann mit Zöliakie wirklich toll ist! Der Service war auch freundlich und schnell. Die Vorspeisen (Sommerrollen und Rindfleisch Spieße) waren sehr lecker. Was nicht geschmeckt hat war mein Hauptgericht. Serviert wurde ein Berg Fleisch, eher unappetitlich vom Aussehen. Eindeutig am Knochen gegart, was nicht schlecht ist, aber ich hatte immer wieder kleine Knochenstücke im Mund. Sehr wenig und viel zu sehr durchgegartes Gemüse wurde separat serviert, das habe ich schon nicht verstanden. Null knackig und gesund, wie man es beim Asiaten erwarten würde. Die Sauce war leider viel zu süß, obwohl ich vorher gefragt hatte, ob das Gericht sehr süß wäre. Mein Partner bezeichnete sein Gericht als schmackhaft. Wir sind vor Jahren mehrere Wochen durch Vietnam gereist, das Essen kam mir zu großen Teilen sehr anders vor. Schade, wenn wir nochmal hier essen, würde ich wohl lieber eine Suppe probieren. Eine Chance kriegt das Lokal auf jeden Fall noch!

Beautiful and cozy Vietnamese restaurant . Amazing atmosphere , incredibly food and an awesome customer services . Definitely recommended.

We went there as two couples a few weeks ago, but could not enjoy meal simultaneously. We were sitting in the “garden” which is not that spectacular for what it is, but ok, it is in the city. One of the dishes was way too salty and as we said this to the waiter he just took the dish away without communicating what he would do with it, whether he would come back or anything. After quite a while he came back with the same dish (beef pho) and obviously they had put some more water into the soup to make the salty taste less. Only now my partner tasted the meat which was tasting a bit weird. It may have been because of the heat outside but in any case he couldn’t eat it. He asked the waiter to give it back and order something else. The waiter said that this needs to be approved by the Kittchen and went away. Again after another long while the chef came to our table with a piece of raw meat to show us that the meat they use looks good. Honestly, I felt like at a butcher store while we were opposed to listen to many out of the context stories of the chef. And while he wanted to make us believe the meat in the soup was ok, he mentioned that they use natron to make the meat quickly softer…. In the end, after probably at least 15 he spent at our table (you remember the raw meat, it stayed on our table the whole time), he did not want to take the pho back but just said he will offer us sth from the house and went away. After another 10min nothing happened. My partner went into the restaurant to ask if he could get at least 2 spring rolls instead of any drinks. After another 10min he got 2 summer rolls (not spring rolls), but ok… At some point we ordered the bill and again the service was too slow, although it was already close to 22h and no body was ordering anything anymore. In the end the Vietnamese lady brought us the bill. They charged the pho which remained uneaten. We claimed that we’d be glad to pay for the summer rolls but not for the pho. And the Vietnamese lady got angry. She did not want us to pay and went away with the machine. After we asked to please finally settle all and go. Then the chef came again to our table with the Vietnamese lady. In the end, she said she would call the police if we don’t pay the pho :))) we insisted on talking to the boss as it was all so ridiculous. She phoned the boss, and we were told he would be there in a few minutes. No body came, so we paid the bill as it is not our attitude to not pay our bills. But it was the bad attitude of the employees if this highly rated restaurant to disregard its customers’ critics and perception. We have travelled around Vietnam and enjoy this cuisine, but nir was this one really fresh nor could they adapt to your wishes. And if you use natron, put a cheap hot sauce instead of hot peppers to the pho, I reckon the quality is that high. It was our second time visiting this restaurant and none of the experiences makes it worthy visiting again nor recommending. On the next day I had a heavy allergy reaction from some of the ingredients they use, so even here I doubt all is fresh and natural as they claim. But ok, we are only 2 (or even 4) customers… less!

Very cute restaurant with a lot of options to choose from. There’s a vegan/vegetarian page with many options! Number 27 was delicious and I would strongly recommend. The service is fantastic, very warm and welcoming. They also allow dogs! I would also strongly recommend the cherry lemonade!
