Ein fantastischer Ort zum Essen und Entspannen. Das Personal ist super nett und zuvorkommend. Alle Gerichte sind glutenfrei. Absolut empfehlenswert. PS: Im Damen-WC gibt es Damenhygieneartikel (das wurde sehr geschätzt).

Sehr leckere Gerichte und eine tolle atmosphere. Die Vorspeisen waren super, alles frisch zubereiten, genügend Kräuter und Soßen. Das Rind hat geschmeckt, als wäre es auf dem Holzkohlegrill zubereitet worden - sehr authentisch. Einzig die vegetarischen Frühlingsrollen waren mir persönlich etwas zu salzig, aber das ist wohl Geschmacksache. Komme gerne wieder!

Der Service war super, die Location war auch wundervoll und die Sommer arrivierten Frühlingsrollen waren grandios. Die Tamarind Sauce fand ich persönlich ganz ganz schlimm. Ich ich konnte mein ganzes Essen nicht essen und dadurch haben die ganzen Garnelen im Essen einfach nur nach der Sauce geschmeckt und gar nicht mehr nach Garnelen selbst. Das Gericht mit dem Steak war okay. Also das Steak war perfekt gebraten aber die Sauce war jetzt auch nur der Durchschnitt, Knoblauch Reis hat auch nicht nach Knoblauch geschmeckt

Das Essen, das wir bestellt hatten, war durchweg sehr gut. Der Mangosalat war frisch. Das Rindfleisch war sehr zart. Die Pho war lecker. Das gebratene Rindfleisch hatte die perfekte Soße. Gegen 18 Uhr ist es sehr ruhig, wird aber lauter, wenn das Restaurant voll ist. Das Personal wirkte unzufrieden.

Ambiente schön und relativ ruhig. Teller waren teilweise angeschlagen. Der Service hat sich auf das ansolute Minimum beschränkt. Zutaten waren i.O. Essen hatte keine Raffinesse. Nicht zu vergleichen mit anderen vietnamesischen Restaurants. Echt enttäuschend.

Die Pho Suppe hat mich leider enttäuscht. Kleine Portion für 18€ und zudem noch für meinen Geschmack zu salzig. Allerdings war der Service ganz höflich und das Ambiente schön. Die Pho Suppe würde ich trotzdem nicht weiter empfehlen.

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Wir waren zu fünft dort, extra angereist, weil eine von uns Zöliakie hat und sich sehr auf einen glutenfreien vietnamesischen Laden gefreut hatte. Der Empfang war von Anfang an extrem unfreundlich – kein Lächeln, keine Begrüßung. Uns wurde in einem sehr unangenehmen Ton gesagt, dass wir „mit euch keinen Umsatz machen“ und wir gehen sollen, wenn nicht alle etwas bestellen bzw. dass wir dann nur 45 Minuten bleiben dürfen. Besonders schlimm war, dass wir stark das Gefühl hatten, aufgrund unseres Aussehens anders behandelt zu werden. Andere Gäste wurden freundlich empfangen und angelächelt, während wir durchgehend respektlos behandelt wurden. Auf unsere Rückmeldung kam keinerlei Entschuldigung, stattdessen wurde uns die Schuld zugeschoben. Auch das Essen konnte leider nicht überzeugen. Insgesamt absolut nicht empfehlenswert.

Mein Mann hat Zöliakie und konnte hier aus der Karte bedenkenlos alles auswählen da alle Speisen glutenfrei sind. Das Essen war Mega lecker und hat uns beiden, ich selber habe keine Ernährungseinschränkung,extrem gut geschmeckt. Der Service war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Wenn wir noch einmal nach Frankfurt kommen werden wir sehr gerne wieder hier essen. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Ich war schon mehrmals hier essen und es war jedes Mal wirklich sehr lecker. Die Zutaten sind immer frisch und gerade auch für Vegetarier gibt es eine erfreulich große Auswahl. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Preislich absolut fair für die Qualität.

Second time here. I had only great starters (#2 and #5) When it comes to main courses I have different opinion - after i tried beef (#18) and also chicken (#13). Service was not good in my first visit due to a waitress who made extra difficult to communicate bu strict rules. Then a senior came and solved. Given the main course dissatisfaction, price / value of our experience was not great. Troztdem 4.

⚠️”Empathy” Not on the Menu ❌ Families don’t go ❌ This place is unfriendly, unkind, and absolutely not family-friendly. The way they treat people when they’re not customers, shows their true colors.‼️ We accidentally sat at one of their outdoor tables during the *Schweizerstraßenfest*, thinking they were the same Vietnamese vendor from the food truck right in front of their restaurant. A simple mistake. A woman from the restaurant came out and told me to leave immediately. I explained that my husband had just stepped away and would be back in a moment - we had two very young children, food, bottles, and a stroller to manage. *I would leave but just needed a few moments.* She showed zero understanding. 😧 Despite the fact that the entire outdoor (and indoor) area was empty (see picture), she *stood there* coldly and insisted I leave *right away*. 😨 Her lack of empathy was shocking and frankly, disgusting. My husband returned *within a minute* and we moved without fuss. But that wasn’t the end of it. As we were leaving, I saw her ranting about us to a colleague behind the counter. I walked in to explain our side of the situation - hoping for basic human decency. Instead, I was met with defensiveness and more hostility. She couldn’t even understand what the problem was. Ironically, we’re locals in Sachsenhausen, but we’ll never return, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Especially not if you have kids.👎👎👎👎👎 ——————— Update: Drafting a reply with AI doesn’t make you more convincing😂 Instead, it continues to show your lack of empathy.😅 Yes, we accidentally sat at your outdoor table during a *busy neighborhood festival*. It was a genuine mistake, yet you painted our action as deliberate, and evil… We genuinely thought your space was part of the Vietnamese food truck (yes, also same cuisine) setup *directly in front* (literally less than one meter) of seating area. It wasn’t about the policy or the rule. I did not insist or intend to continue to use your seatings. Don’t you understand what the problem was? 👉It was the lack of basic human understanding and kindness in how the situation was handled. You had every right to ask us to move, but the manner was cold, unkind, and made a simple misunderstanding unnecessarily uncomfortable. When I asked for a few moments, you could have just said “Sure, of course, just a minute is fine!”. Because it literally took a minute 😂 I shared this experience not to be unfair, but to highlight how a bit of empathy goes a long way, especially in a family-friendly neighborhood like Sachsenhausen. Found this place on a gluten free map and saw it was highly recommended. Gluten free or not this is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The food is delicious! We ended up going back twice in 3 days it was soooo good! The staff is super friendly and helpful with navigating the menu. The pineapple fried rice is wow! I’ll be thinking about this dish down the road. Very clean space and not too loud despite lots of people there.

There were 14 of us and we paid a deposit of €100 in advance as there was no other option here. Arrived at 8:40 p.m. First starters (only for 2 people) got in half an hour, everyone else had to wait more than an hour for their dishes! And that's despite reservations. That was too long for us. Hence 2 stars for service. Food is fine, a bit overpriced.

I am going yo adress why I rate 5 stars across the board but 4 stars in general. In short: -1 for broken plates. Broken plates are a matter of how prestigious u want to show you are. Its something nobody will notice if all plates are intact, but people DO notice if some are broken. A restaurant is not a home, we do not need to save chipped plates. Also happened to me as a cook that a chipped plate broke in two IN MY HANDS because I tapped it with a spoon. I wouldnt want that to happen as a server is placing the plate down or picking it up or break in the kitchen and so on. Fun fact I heard but I didnt check if true: plates are made so sensitive because it makes for good business. Restaurants have to re-buy them constantly. I will also not get over how small German toilets are in restaurants... I am not particularly against it but I remember I used to go to restaurants with spacious and beautiful toilets and now they are a 1.5x1. Good toilet design with the mirror on the wall. I dont know how legal it is that women and men share the toilet. There is just one for both. Service: amazing. Although when asked to give us more time to decide what to eat, another server asked if we are ready much faster than expected, that seems to happen a lot so maybe its a thing, id like it that if I say I need time, that the server trusts that I will show him Im ready but maybe other people feel otherwise so I dont mind much. +Points for the lady that when I asked to have desserts and she saw we drank our drinks she offered to get us more, that was very smart up selling or otherwise counts as care. My not-so-fun experience at the restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful, looks classy, ​​the decoration is ok. The bowls and chopsticks have highlights. But why did I give 2 stars because: - Food: I would say it is bad for my taste. The bowl of pho I ordered was presented ok. But the pho broth was terrible. It was sweet like drinking sugar. It was bland. I have never eaten pho and left the broth like that. I added chili sauce and lemon but it didn't help. A bowl of pho for 17€ with a few pieces of meat mixed together. Although it looked full, the noodles were padded under. That was my bowl. My husband ordered Hue beef noodle soup and the broth wasn't much better. - Service: When I first entered, the two people in the restaurant were very friendly. But when I went down to pay, oh my god, I don't know what I did to the sister to be so "sulky" with me. Meanwhile, the restaurant at that time, was not crowded. I asked for the bill and said goodbye before leaving, but the owner looked so arrogant that he didn't even bother to answer. So, I was really disappointed with the restaurant. Especially the food. Because the price is high and the quality is the opposite. Although I know the restaurant can focus mainly on Western customers, but for Vietnamese people who want to eat, it's a bit... I hope the restaurant will learn from this experience for the next time.

We always enjoy dining at LUA Cuisine.The interior is clean, understated, and cozy, with plenty of wood, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere that we really enjoy. Despite being on a busy street, you feel tucked away, yet the large windows provide a great view of the outdoor area and the street. On warmer days, you can enjoy dining in a small and cozy outdoor area, with a little greenery. The staff is friendly and polite. Every time we’ve visited, we were proactively asked about gluten intolerance - great attention to detail. This time, we started with the Gỏi Cuốn Lúa summer rolls, filled with fresh shrimp, rice noodles, salad, and herbs, all wrapped in delicate rice paper and paired with a tangy dipping sauce. They were light, tasty, and had a satisfying crispness. For mains, we enjoyed the Gà Rôti, a caramelized garlic chicken dish, with vegetable garnish, served with buttery garlic rice and pickled vegetables. The chicken was tender and flavorful, with the sauce adding a perfect balance of sweet and savory notes, enhancing every bite. We also tried the Đậu Hủ Kho Tộ, a delicious tofu dish braised in a pepper sauce with mushrooms, adding a tangy richness, served with garnish, pickled vegetables and rice. Both dishes were beautifully presented, with thoughtful details that made them as visually appealing as they were flavorful. For drinks, we enjoyed the refreshing Tamarind Syrup Soda with Ice and Peanuts and the classic Apfelwein. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

I found this restaurant on ‘Find me Gluten Free’ as I had really been struggling to eat well during my visit to Germany because of my allergy. There are many Vietnamese dishes which are naturally gluten free so knew I would have lots to choose from and the menu did not disappoint. I enjoyed the summer rolls and a delicious curry served with rice which sadly I could not finish as the portions were very generous in size. I was offered the option to take what I hadn’t eaten but as I was flying home that evening politely declined. I found the staff to be very friendly and attentive to everyone and they were particularly cautious about my allergy which was reassuring. The restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere where there was a good mix of families, couples, individuals dining alone and every age. I will definitely return the next time I visit Frankfurt!

Wie konnte ich nur - vergessen, das all meine Erfahrungen mit Vietnamesen in Deutschland enttäuschend waren. Nicht nur im Vergleich mit den Erfahrungen in Vietnam selbst (Wo es immer geschmeckt hat auf den Kinderstühlen, auf der Strasse) sondern auch das Essen für sich, langweilig, ohne Geheimnis, die Garnelen fast geschmacksfrei. So also auch hier, wollte der Nachbarschaft mal eine Chance geben.

Me and my wife test Vietnamese restaurants in every city. Here in this beautiful place I ate the best Vietnamese soup of my life and have been eating it regularly ever since. No. 8 on the menu ;-) The meat (Tafelspitz) is as tender as butter and the taste is excellent. There is also a plate with bean sprouts, lime, herbs and spices so that you can adapt the soup to your own taste. I've never had this soup come close to being good anywhere else. Many friends to whom we have recommended the restaurant are concerned that soup will not fill them up. It should be said: It's a beef steak with a portion of rice noodles in soup...You'll be full!!! And if not: there are delicious desserts that taste different, not run-of-the-mill. The summer rolls are also highly recommended as a starter; the peanut sauce that comes with them is homemade and simply delicious. P.S. The soup is also available vegetarian and it makes my wife happy ;-)

Very tasty Vietnamese food. Our food wasn’t “westernized” either; tasted just like I know from Vietnam. The selection for vegetarians is also very good. Card payment is possible. The only drawback is the slightly higher price, especially for the drinks, but that doesn't have to be the case.

If you are Asian, don't go. Not authentic and overly spiced with no natural flavors. You may get tap water here, your bottle is plugged.

Nice staff, cute restaurant in a good location in Sachsenhausen. Food okay, there are much better Vietnamese! For the starter: minced pork with shrimps in a green rice coating was not only crispy but very hard, the mango salad was too coarsely chopped and the "dressing" wasn't convincing. Main course: Pho, you can eat it but it's below average compared to other Vietnamese restaurants Com Tam, very salty, but still tasty and something new

The food is super tasty, beautifully prepared, large selection and gluten-free. If you have gluten intolerance, you don't have to worry about it and you can choose whatever you want. The ambience is very nice, you feel like you are in a large living room. Service very nice and quick. We will be back definitely.

Wir waren hier zum Abendessen mit Freunden. Eine Reservierung wird auf jeden Fall empfohlen. Das Restaurant ist nüchtern aber zugleich modern eingerichtet - hell und freundlich und gut belüftet. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Alles war lecker und frisch zubereitet. Nice terrace/seating in the sun, service friendly, prices very high compared to other Vietnamese. But it tasted good, delicious drinks especially the tamarind spritzer

I was walking through this part of the city, it was a little late for lunch but I found this wonder with regular hours until night, they treated me great, the food was delicious and abundant. I love eating well and being treated well, without rush or pressure. As it was all life! Vielen dank!!!

Very tasty food, the service is super nice and the prices are really good in the location. All food is gluten free. During the week there is a lunch menu with a summer roll, a small salad, a portion of main course and rice for 11€ and on weekends a lunch menu consisting of a summer roll, soup, a fried part (chicken or tofu), a full main course size and a tea for €25. Really highly recommended!

I've probably eaten there twenty times and it's always been okay. This time the service was massively annoyed and literally brushed me off when, after waiting 50 minutes, I asked how long it would take. The food was dry (salmon), the sauce was completely salty and at the same time unpleasantly sweet. Because I was hungry, I made the mistake of eating everything. Since then I have had stomach problems (now day 2). I hope it was just a blip, but I won't go there again.
