Quite disappointing experience overall. Had a veggie pad krapao and it was quite runny and no Thai basil which is a must. Service could have been better

The food was delicious and we all enjoyed it immensely. The portions were also very generous, so we were just right. The spiciness was fine for me, as a German, but a few of us would have preferred it spicier. Service was prompt, and everything went quite quickly for nine people. Unfortunately, card payments aren't accepted, but PayPal is available 👍

It's definitely not your run-of-the-mill Thai restaurant. It was my first time here, and I have to say that both the appetizer and the main course were very good (except that it was a bit too spicy, but that was mostly my fault). The prices are still reasonable. I'll be back :)

Once again, I followed a recommendation from a YouTuber (Randy Gamble). I had the Pad Krapao with ground beef. It was delicious, but not the promised revelation. Unfortunately, it lacked spice, but I could have asked for more chilies. The restaurant has a lovely terrace and friendly staff. Unfortunately, as you can see from the photos, there's also another YouTube bonus.

We ordered two dishes, and everything arrived piping hot. The food tasted very good; the vegetables were still crisp and fresh, the sauces were very well seasoned, and the meat was tender. Only the crispy duck suffered a bit from the delivery packaging, which caused the crispy skin to become soft. However, this did not detract from the taste. We were very satisfied and also found the delivery packaging very good. Nothing leaked, and the quality was largely unaffected.

Service is Not fast but food is good and service is nice and kind:)

We recently ate there. 1. I was served the wrong meal. 2. The food wasn't tasty. 3. We had a coupon book with us. We initially forgot to mention that we wanted to redeem a coupon. When I mentioned it when paying, the server was unfortunately not accommodating and refused to accept the coupon. Other restaurants have always been understanding and customer-friendly in the past. They also accepted it afterward. 4. Payment was only possible in cash. I wish I had been informed of this upfront, then I could have been prepared and eaten elsewhere if necessary. They were lucky that my companion had enough cash. Otherwise, it would have been really unpleasant, as I didn't have any. For that price, you can eat better and enjoy better service elsewhere.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the service from the owner was very poor. We weren't familiar with the dishes, and the advice was abysmal. The low rating is solely due to the service.

Terrible service. Staff and menu failed to correctly check or list allergens in food despite being asked 4 times. Was served food with gluten. Only found out the food had gluten when I asked a fifth time. Was then charged full price. Unacceptable business practices.

Krapao Thai Bistro ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) Almost authentic – the food has a slightly “Germanized” touch, but still close enough to real Thai flavors to make you happy. The noodle soup was rich and nicely presented, and the spring rolls were crispy and fresh. Service was excellent and super friendly – just like in Thailand, warm and welcoming. The vibe is relaxed, with great outdoor seating, perfect for a summer day in Frankfurt. A little culinary trip to Bangkok… with a hint of Frankfurt charm.

Waited over 1.5 hours for delivery. Called, "Driver is on the way," another hour passed. No food here. Just annoying. Last time trying this store.

Wir haben das Krapao eher zufällig entdeckt – und es war ein echter Glücksgriff! Schon beim Eintreten wurden wir herzlich begrüßt und fühlten uns sofort wohl. Die Speisekarte bietet eine schöne Auswahl traditioneller Thai-Gerichte, frisch zubereitet und mit genau dem richtigen Maß an Schärfe (auf Wunsch anpassbar!). Das grüne Curry war unglaublich aromatisch, das Pad Thai perfekt abgestimmt, und das Mango Sticky Rice zum Abschluss einfach himmlisch. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den aufmerksamen und sehr freundlichen Service – man merkt, dass hier mit Leidenschaft gekocht und gearbeitet wird. Wer authentische thailändische Küche sucht, wird hier mehr als fündig. Wir kommen definitiv wieder – und bringen Freunde mit!

Krapao Thai Bistro in Frankfurt Bornheim. What can I say? First of all, I have to say that this great little restaurant has a fantastic location on a side street off Berger Straße. We go there very often because, in our opinion, it's one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. Everything is just perfect here: for example, the sauces in a Thai curry are excellently seasoned, the meat is tender and crispy breaded, and the vegetables are crisp and fresh. The food is served within 15-20 minutes, the waiters are very friendly, and the owner is truly accommodating. The ONLY criticism would be that occasionally something is forgotten, such as an extra portion of rice. But this isn't a big deal, as we simply remind the waiter again and, hey presto, they immediately apologize. In conclusion, a visit to Krapao Thai Bistro is a source of great joy and enjoyment for us. We say THANK YOU!

The food is good. However, €17.50 is completely outrageous. The menu still shows the old price. And then they don't accept card payments? Unfortunately, at these prices, I won't be coming back.

Food was delicious but €17.50 for 4 spring rolls and a main course that was more like a children's portion is a bit steep. A few more grams of pasta could have made a big difference.

The spring rolls are really recommended. The best spring rolls I ate in Frankfurt but I wouldn't necessarily recommend the pad krapao, it was too salty for me personally. Still a small, beautiful shop that offers comfortable seating outside.

If you really want to eat authentic pad krapao and papaya salad at a fair price, you've come to the right place! When the weather is good you can sit very comfortably on the terrace (it's a bit small and dark inside). The food and the Thai iced tea tasted like in Thailand and the service was friendly!

Very nice and relaxed restaurant in a sidestreet of the Bergerstraße. The food is delicous and the Service is good to. We ordered food for 9 people and the 3 appetizers came all together quickly and the main dishes also were served all at the same time. Average taste. Smaller portions, perhaps because of the Barometer voucher? Timing drinks - food bad. Clearing up before all the blackheads were finished. More of a snack bar than a restaurant level. No card payment possible - why?

If you are looking for delicious, authentic Thai in Frankfurt, you should stop by Krapao Bistro. The small Thai in a side street of Berger doesn't have much space, but it impresses with delicious food and sensational iced tea. I chose the classic Pad Kra Pao with beef, which really tasted outstanding. Service was friendly, orders didn't take long, and the seating was comfortable. There is also a small outdoor area in summer. Attention: no card payment possible. However, Paypal is accepted!

This very authentic Thai restaurant impresses with its delicious dishes. In summer you can sit outside nicely. There are only a few seats in the dining room. Our service staff were very young and shy.

Saturday evening, we ordered spring rolls, breaded shrimp, Thai curry, pad kra pao and sticky rice with mango. The food was very tasty overall, it arrived warm and quickly (35 minutes). We would order here again.

The Pad Krapao was tasty, but too salty for my taste and a bit dry (as you can see in the picture). A little watery and sweeter taste would have been missing. Price/performance is okay!

The quality of the food matches the friendliness of the staff - both are great! We had classic spring rolls, pad thai, and pad Wun Sen. Everything was so tasty, and it got to our table so fast! I think the vegetarian options on the menu are quite limited, but you can probably ask them to change most of the dishes into a veggie version!

In my opinion this is one of the best Thai restaurants in Frankfurt. The restaurant is very clean and the service is friendly and competent. Since it is often very crowded, sometimes you can't find a seat. I therefore recommend always calling before a spontaneous visit. Both the food and the iced tea are extremely delicious.

Fantastic lunch for the whole family! We were here for lunch today: 4 adults and 1 toddler. Our expectations were more than exceeded. The food was absolutely first class - every dish was freshly prepared and tasted excellent. The service was equally impressive: friendly, attentive and child-friendly. We were able to redeem our b-my voucher without any problems. We definitely recommend this restaurant and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Court S6 was surprising. The fried water spinach was really tasty. No. 27 Pad Krapao was also very good. And the dessert D3 steamed sticky rice with taro for 4 euros is recommended.

I've been here a few times now. On site or to take away. The location is nice, the terrace is also great in warm temperatures. Service nice and quick. But the taste of the food is just really average. 2 years ago the food was really delicious, aromatic and always ensured great satisfaction. Now it's just bland, with little taste. And then there are the prices, which have been significantly increased... somehow the price-performance ratio is no longer right. It's a shame actually...

I have been here several times, there is a wide variety of Thai menu. The dishes had good, special tastes. My wish for Thai spiciness was realized, thank you very much! Large portion (maybe a little less rice). My favorite Thai in Frankfurt. Staff mostly very friendly. Small cozy restaurant with a beautiful front garden. Not quite as cheap as it once was. Excellent service. The good was delicious. I'm the worst person at choosing dishes that I'm not used to and just picked one randomly. It was astonishing. Definitely a place to get back to.

In terms of taste, perhaps the best place to eat Thai food on an authentic level. Ambiance is either a simple restaurant or a chic bistro. Unfortunately, prices have exploded recently. Some dishes have risen from €10.50 to €14.90, which unfortunately cannot be justified. Therefore, the taste is excellent but the prices are high.

Real cheek. After waiting for over an hour, my order was simply canceled without giving any reason and without notifying me by phone. You should definitely not order here!

For me, this is currently hands down the best Thai place in Frankfurt, with Wannawai coming second. The location is small and nothing special, per se, but the food is amazingly seasoned and if you ask for spicy, you get spicy. They serve my favorite dish khua kling and I make it my mission to visit at least twice a month. Vastly superior to other more prominent and more expensive places in Frankfurt such as BBK Thai Streetfood or Bangkok et. al.

After a long time we returned here again. This year the Thai Bistro is also in the barometer book with 2=1. Important: You should definitely reserve a table as there are not many seats. There is space for around 16-18 people here. There are chairs with backrests at the tables, but also just stools. Unfortunately the Thod Man Pla (fried fish cakes) wasn't available this time... A reason to come back again. We had a good time, shared the starters and dessert and each had a main course. The spare ribs (No. 8) were again great, as were the satay skewers (No. 6). The filled dumplings (Karipap/No. 2) didn't really impress us. Nevertheless: In terms of taste, everything was simply great. A real taste explosion. You shouldn't take the chili peppers listed on the menu as spiciness too seriously. The S 18 had e.g. B. 2, but it wasn't really sharp. I was also happy that there was the Khao Niew Mamuang dessert - I just love that taste. The service was quick and very friendly. In any case, we were more than thrilled and had a great culinary evening. Important - no cards are accepted here. Cash is king!

It's not possible to cancel after an hour without comment. The food is always really good, but that's the kind that doesn't work.

Die Bedienung versteht leider nichts und Sonderwünsche werden nicht verstanden. Wir haben was zum Mitnehmen geholt und es hat ein Gericht gefehlt. Als wir angerufen haben um das zu reklamieren, wurde mit uns diskutiert. Ein Ersatz Gericht haben wir nicht bekommen. Das ist leider ein Armutszeugnis was den Service angeht.
