The taste was ok, there was not enough chicken and it was too dry. 14€ very excessive for three thin chicken finders on two waffles. The ColeSlaw wasn't good and seemed old. Tables were very sticky and there was a bit of a smell of old grease in the store.
It's a shame, Hanse Bowl has closed. BUT how cool is it that there is an even better bowl shop right next to it.
JayJay's!
As they say, “Bowls without the fuss.” And damn YES, you can taste it.
My absolute tip: Vegan Tofu Bowl and Juice No. 2
Wow!
This is a pop up restaurant location. The current pop up is a Mexican restaurant. It is there for a month. Really delicious tacos and drinks. Check it out before it is gone.
We were there with vouchers. We got a 2 for 1 and the 3rd should be a sub of the day. Everywhere in all Subway branches and even on the voucher flyer shown it says €3.99 for a Subway of the day. The sub of the day not only costs €5.00 there, but today on Sunday in their branch in the Wandelhalle the sub was salami instead of taco beef! When we mentioned it, he said: sorry, €5.00 for us…..
Viet Bowl in Hamburg offers a pleasant dining experience with a cozy and modern atmosphere, friendly staff, and a varied menu of Vietnamese dishes. I’d rate the overall experience 4 stars, with some room for improvement in the food department.
We started with the chicken summer rolls, which were flavorful, crispy, and served with a tasty dipping sauce—definitely a good way to begin the meal. For dessert, the ice cream with mango was refreshing and well-balanced, not too sweet and nicely presented.
However, the main course—Pho Soja—was a bit of a letdown. The dish was overwhelmingly loaded with soy, which overpowered the other flavors, and the consistency leaned more toward a thin soup rather than a satisfying, hearty main dish. It lacked the depth and balance typically expected from a pho.
In summary:
• Food: 3/5 – some hits, some misses
• Service: 4/5 – attentive and polite staff
• Atmosphere: 4/5 – relaxed and clean interior with a comfortable vibe
Viet Bowl is still worth a visit, especially for a light meal or small plates, but there’s room for improvement in the main course execution.
I finally managed to find a very nice restaurant with oriental cuisine in Hamburg. The food was incredibly tasty and prepared very professionally. The service was brilliant – friendly and warm. The restaurant is cozy and has a romantic atmosphere. If you have a date, I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
A small wish: Unfortunately, Kube Naya is not on the menu yet – that would really be the icing on the cake!
